      What. The. Hell?!?!?

    • Jeff Warhurst

    • MoHub

      Words fail me.

    • Heron

      LOL NO

    • gabbilevy

      Dear designers:

    • NMMagpie

Wow. No real words for how “NOT AT ALL” this is.

    • annabelle archer

Jeezus what a stupid dress. This entire idea of sheer dress in the thigh area made an Golden Globe winner look like a walking accident and a gorgeous French woman look like a goober. Please make it stop.

eta: What in the fuckery is happening to Paz Vega? Where is the woman I fell in lust with in Spanglish?

    • Dan_In_NYC

      That was hilarious, TLo.

    • kipper

It’s too silly to even be bad fashion….. trite, at best.

    • joancarol

      • lobsterlen

    • Julia Dunne

For the love of all things holy, please STOP WITH THE SHEER PANELS JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN!!!

    • sojourneryouth

I loved the last one, but this is a bridge too far. Weird, depressed booby napkin. Thigh window. So heavy-looking at the bottom. Paz is a babe, but this just isn’t working.

      • marlie

        Heavy-looking AND shapeless.

        • sojourneryouth

Yes! It all looks like it’s about to fall at her feet. And not in the sexy way.

    • YourLibrarian

When I glanced quickly at the first pic, I honestly thought her pants fell down.

      • ankali

My first thought was, “Oh my God, someone pantsed her!”

    • disqus_LnU860Wk1o

      WAT DA FUQ

    • MajorBedhead

You’re kidding me, right? I mean, seriously? SERIOUSLY? What the everloving fuck IS that??

    • Diego!

Oh no… the other day she was stunning, this is really disappointing…

    • Breatheinthegood

I’m going to swim against the tide here, but I think it’s a really interesting (in a good way) dress. It looks innovative and unusual, but I do think the feathers were a bridge too far.

      • demidaemon

Keep swimming. I don’t know if you’ll make it.

    • sockandaphone

      that was a fun scrolldown.

    • Christina Diaz

that ‘gown’ was a prank, right? does her stylist hate her? i just can’t.

    • eowyn_of_rohan

No! Take it to Mordor! Pitch it into Mount Doom!

    • GuidosDaddy

Native American Space Slut realness. (Which makes me think Cher woulda rocked this… or, at the very least, have worn it)

      • Pennymac

        Yeah, in 1977….

    • ThaliaKat

“Oh, look, the lower half of my bathrobe fell off.”

    • sweatpantalternative

      Just. No.

    • Daisy Walker

      I don’t what. I can’t even. Hell no.

    • siriuslover

      she looks stupid.

    • IAmJ

I don’t think I can recover from the trauma this has caused me.

      • lobsterlen

We are all going to need psycho-therapy now.

    • blueberrypanckae

what is this trend of illusion netting?? ugh has to stop! this is what it has come too!

    • Call me Bee

“I love that dress!!!” said no one. Ever.

      • demidaemon

See above (Breatheinthegood’s comment). And weep.

        • Call me Bee

          Well–she didn’t say she *loved* it…so I stand by my statement…LOL.

    • Kiltdntiltd

I will attempt to cease laughing later. Even the runway model looks ridiculous.

      • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Me, too! Between the sheer WTF of the dress and these comments, I am crying with laughter right now!

      • marlie

The runway model looks actively BAD in this. *That* takes some talent on the designer’s part.

      • conniemd

I can’t believe a designer would let the model down the runway with exposed boobs, one a couple of inches higher than the other.

    • Charles

Definitely a “scroll down fug” moment if ever I’ve seen one.

      • lobsterlen

Does anyone do a scroll down fug of the year? Cause this should be #1. I can not imagine, nor do want to, what could top this in the scroll down fug category.

        • marlie

It’s ALL fug. The *TOP* is fug.

      • MoHub

True scroll-down fug has to look good at the top or there’s no shock/surprise when one sees the bottom. This one is top-to-bottom fug.

        • Charles

true, but it didn’t become truly offensive till I had scrolled down. The top is bad but the cumulative effect as you look down further and further makes it rather nauseating.

          • demidaemon

I think that’s scroll down horror.

    • AnaRoW

How exactly do designers convince actors and their stylists to wear these things? Do they pay them? Threaten their families? I can’t see any other reason that anyone would agree to wear this.

      • demidaemon

She could have been drunk. Or something. I’ve got nothing.

    • mhleta

Well, if shuffling around with her drawers around her ankles is the look she’s going for, then she nailed it. Otherwise, not so much.

    • schadenfreudelicious

That is a LOT of toilet paper poor Paz obviously dragged out from the ladies room

    • AmeliaEve

      No. No, no, no, no.

The fact that she is working so hard to sell it actually just makes it even sadder.

    • Cameron Turner

    • Michelle Dial

She looks like she pulled her skirt down to go to the ladies room and never pulled it back up. What. The. Hell

    • mjude

      stupid… NO

    • random_poster

      Pants on the ground!
      Pants on the ground!
      Lookin’ like a fool
With your pants on the ground!!

    • gillian holroyd

oh jeez, I am flashing back to the time I could feel the elastic on my panties giving ‘way while I was holding a baby, so NO!

      • nannypoo

This actually happened to my mother while walking in downtown St. Paul MN in the ’50s. She walked right out of her underpants and kept going, leaving them behind on the sidewalk.

        • alyce1213

          Great story.

    • Qitkat

*Dahling, please bring me a dress with feathers* says Paz to her stylist.
The Bitter Kittens know which one the other dress was, don’t we?
Paz: *Marchesa is soooo booooring. Definitely the Rolland, dahling. I’ll show everybody how sheer is done.*

    • Ediths_Head

Exactly! I thought, “She’s funny!” Perhaps not what she was going for?

    • Pennymac

Feathers on the bottom, white loincloth looking skirt on top–That dress needs the Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian.

(That film title is definitely piquing my interest, though)

    • Jeremiah Capacillo

    • aeb1986

I laughed outloud at this too. I feel like there’s no full post for this one because there just are no words.

    • aeb1986

This reminds me of when you get toilet paper stuck on your shoe. She just had an entire skirt that got stuck to her …dress..? Is that a dress?

      • drdarke

I think, or maybe I just hope, that Paz Vega is having us on with this outfit – it looks like a lampoon of high fashion….

        • Susan Baldwin

Ha, at first I read “TAMPON of high fashion” and now I can’t unsee it.

          • drdarke

That works too, Susan Baldwin @twitter-17268800:disqus .

          • TheAmericaness

            YES!!!! HAHAHAHA!!

That’s it. That’s it. *wiping eyes* The tampon of high fashion. Shut it down.

    • MoHub

Got the hem of her skirt caught in the doorway, but fortunately, it ripped off evenly.

    • jw_ny

      ha ha ha!

    • Angela_the_Librarian

The perfect dress for those who want to show off their upper thighs! Sorry, but taking a fugly dress and inserting a sheer panel does not make it interesting..or less fugly!

    • Nicole Ellis Semple

      no. just. no.

    • nannypoo

Why is she looking so smug? She’s wearing the most idiotic gown ever created. We’ll see how smug she looks when she ends up on everyone’s end of the year worst dressed lists.

    • BrooklynBomber

You know how sometimes you just don’t know whether to laugh or cry?

      • demidaemon

This is one of those times.

    • Emily Dagger

Every time you all post about Paz Vega, I click the link expecting to see Paz de la Huerta.

This dress would’ve made infinitely more sense on Paz de la Huerta.

      • lobsterlen

Even Paz de la Huerta has not enough sense not wear this dress.

    • Jessi03

WHY is this on Whiteboard? I need to hear you rip it apart! I cannot even BEGIN to understand this concoction! I will not call it a dress.

    • MishaFoomin

My exact reaction, but in all caps. My my my.

    • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

So. Much. Awful. All conveniently (un)wrapped in a single dress! And the worst part is, she seems to feel good about it!

    • merciblahblah

What in the oh-shit-my-skirt-fell-down hell is this nonsense?!!!!

    • SephSki

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

      My thoughts exactly.

    • SewingSiren

A new contender for the worst and most unflattering sheer panel ever. You have to have a special talent to make a woman this elegant look like a fool who forgot to pull up her skirt after going to the pot.

    • Carla_Charlton

      Geez Louise….

    • Kari Jay

No, no, no, no….. Even though it’s all white, it looks like a bleached out frakendress to me.

    • clevRcat

A beautiful woman in a hideous dress. How depressing.

    • IMNAngryLiberal

Oh holy crap — I literally can’t believe this dress! The only small bright light is that it looks better on Paz than on the model — how can the model (who we know is stick thin and flat chested) look as though her breast are going in two completely different directions.

      • l_c_ann

“how can the model (who we know is stick thin and flat chested) look as though her breast are going in two completely different directions”
?Installed by two different doctors, maybe?

      • demidaemon

I actually think it looks worse on her because they shortened the sheer panel–obviously because of the height difference–so now the sheer looks less intentional and gives more of that “toilet paper on the shoe/pants weren’t pulled up” effect.

    • rh33

Uh, lady, your slip is showing….

    • Shoelover1512

      hahahahahahahaha what a ridiculous dress

    • ilikemints

You’ve got to be fucking kidding me.

    • jmorino08

I can’t believe you guys put this up as a Whiteboard with no comments of your own! Ever since I saw this monstrosity on GFY yesterday I’ve been waiting to see what TLO would say about it.

Wow… that makes my life seem even lamer than it is. I’m going to go eat some ice cream now.

    • gsk241

It looks like somebody “pantsed” her.

    • marlie

I really hate this. It’s not even the random sheer section that bothers me the most, rather it’s the weird, open top. I mean, it’s unflattering on the MODEL. HATE.THIS.

    • alyce1213

Oh my oh my. Hall of Fame ridiculous.
What is it with celebrities names Paz?

    • lobsterlen

Does anyone wonder or know when a star wears something this horrible, do fellow attendees ever comment about the horrible dress directly to the offend stars face? I couldn’t help myself I would have something snaky directly to their face.

      • alyce1213

I imagine there is some serious eye rolling.

    • Gaby

    • Tracy_Flick

No. Does the word “gown” even have any meaning?

    • AlexisPayne

Forget scroll down Fug, this was scroll down WTF. Did not see that coming.

    • LJCdoc

      What. The. F?????

    • ToniMacAttack

Am I the only one who thought she was actually Penelope Cruz in that first photo and thought TLo goofed…?

    • Rhonda Shore

      Exactly. It’s an ugly dress.

    • LibrarianLizy

      No. Just…no. Full stop.

    • trisker

Utterly ridiculous. Can’t believe TLo decided to leave it alone. I guess it’s one of those dresses where the picture is worth a thousand laughs.

    • MilaXX

    • PastryGoddess

      bad no uh-uh

    • maggiemaybe

      Uh, whoops!

    • FancyPhilly

That was my first thought, and my second, and my third. In fact, I’m still laughing.

    • Donna Tabor

Leave aside, for the moment, that this dress makes her look as though she’s losing her skirt. What gets me more than that, even, is the “business on top” and “party on the bottom” schizophrenia going on. There’s a total disconnect in styles from the top part to the bottom part.

    • Raanky

    • lrober03

it looks like the aftermath of Jennifer Lawrence at the SAG awards (if her dress did actually come apart)

    • Nancer

All kinds of fugly. The dress, not the woman.

    • ballerinawithagun

First thought…boots with feathers and a train, interesting. Then WTF, did Rodarte take over at Stephane Rolland???

    • crash1212

Awful. All of it. UGH. WTF? etc.

    • LaSylphide

It’s worse than awful: it’s silly.

    • Jasmine Gonzalez

If you’re going to wear the dress with the sheer panel, go all the way and use the full length of the sheer panel–this comes off as half-assed.

    • j_anson

      JUST NO.

    • Anz

Besides the obvious furry thigh-high boot illusion, the top of the dress is awful, too. The fold-over boob napkin, the shapeless belt, the sideboob, and the fit in general… I don’t even know.

    • iheartbuffy

wtf. She killed an Ostrich or something. And skinned it so poorly. Poor Ostrich, you died in vain.

    • ThaliaMenninger

      Yeah, no.

    • Cz

The dress is ridiculous, but I want her arms.

      *does 4 push-ups* *gives up*

    • Anniebet

One honking ginormous disaster of a dress. Who the heck would think this is a good idea? There’s no support for the boobage for one thing (and she needs it), and I don’t even have the words for the bottom half of that thing.

    • Kenisha Hill Phillips

What the hell is THAT??? /GordonRamsey

    • GoryDetails

Um, well, it succeeds admirably at the “my dress is falling off” effect… which is what was intended, right?

    • Krysta

That is a stupid dress. No.

    • H2olovngrl

      I think I kind of hate this…

    • Jessica Charlotte Siewierkiewi

The female equivalent of wearing your pants under your ass.

    • Kathryn Tewson

PSSST! Sweetie! Paz! Sweetie, your dress is — look down — sweetie, your slip is falling off!

    • Pamela Hunt

      Yikes, NOOOOOO!!!

    • titaness25

and they say fashion doesn’t have a sense of humour.

    • KayEmWhy

      Why Paz Vega? Why?

    • Crystal

    • demidaemon

This is a stupid dress, and she is stupid for wearing it. Why? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?

    • kimiakay

Why is she smiling again? Maybe she’s messing with us, and everyone else? It’s suggestive, everything pointing in one direction. Weird.

    • guest2visits

      omg how stupid…. just.. stupid.

    • elzatelzabelz

Designers are just F*&king with us now, right? RIGHT?!

    • A. Valera

      I can’t even. I know…that’s hardly pithy — but I just can’t. (In other news, what’s going on with that model’s tetas?)

    • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

I thought she literally had pulled her pants down to, um, use the restroom.

    • Kirsten Kirsten

    • CupcakeKate

This is why we all need to read TLo’s new book. WHY do they wear this stuff? Is it because the publicity of wearing a ridiculous concept of a dress is better than no publicity at all? Do you have to earn a certain rank before you have the authority to veto dresses? These are all burning questions of our time . . . .

    • bd73

all i see is the absence. all that’s going on with that dress and it’s the sheer that commands attention.

    • quiltrx

(and I think the model may have the biggest titscrepancy in the history of history.)

    • frannyprof

Ugliest thing I’ve ever seen on the RC.

    • Bert Keeter

      That’s one stupid dress!

    • Sarah Souffriau

Hahahahaha. I cannot stop laughing at the sight of this. How could anyone want to wear this? The baby Jesus is crying.

    • Sara Leigh Merrey

Stupidest thing I’ve ever seen. And I’ve seen a lot of stupid.

    • Flannabanana

      This is just embarrassing.

    • Candigirl1968

This confuses me to no end. And it’s making me much madder than the “t-shirts under couture” thing that’s going on with Zoe and Milla.

Cannes should be making us all a whole lot happier.

    • Gwyndall

      Scroll-down WTF…

    • barbarienne

I think the elastic in her skirt just went, and it slid down her legs.

Paz, honey, just step out of it and keep walking like nothing happened.

    • Maggie Wiggin

This dress reminds me of a girl I saw in Williamsburg, of course, wearing jeans that she had…cut the middle out of each leg? Like she had cutoffs and also leg warmers in the same denim? It was the dumbest thing I ever saw. Until I saw this dress.

    • librarygrrl64

It looks like her skirt fell down. Go home, Stephane Rolland. You’re drunk.

    • kolokOlchik

I literally gasped in horror upon seeing this. It would be the truest definition of scrolldown fug if it wasn’t so ugly up-top already

    • Carolyn Nilsson

I thought my ignorance of high fashion was causing me to miss the beauty of the dress. I am confused about the designer’s intentions, unless we’re being punked.

    • Courtney Harris

      God. Damn. RIDICULOUS.
