Much prettier than that pigeon dress but I think that hair probably looks a lot better in person.

    • H2olovngrl

      SO much better!

  • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

I said it to @filmcricket the other day, and I’m saying it now. She looks like a living work of marble. I don’t know anyone else with her skin and her poise.

    • Heidi Maier

I can — another Australian: Cate Blanchett! :)

      • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

        Indeed : )

      • Rand Ortega

I’m starting to believe the Outback (not the restaurant) has mystical powers.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

          mmmmm….bloomin’ onion…..

  • crash1212

    Perfection. Shoulda been a WERQ.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

    Damned near perfect. Dammit.

  • silaria

The hair misses “artfully mussed” by a long shot and heads straight into “woke up 20 minutes ago” territory, but other than that — DAYUM.

    • 3boysful

I saw a picture of the back of her head somewhere else, and it’s really intricate braiding. Looks better than it does here.

  • http://www.champagnerising.com/ heather adair

saw the movie “Paperboy” this weekend in which the lovely Nic played some sort of southern 60s ingenue…..(and seduced the Efron, then was killed by the Cusack) — and it was an altogether terrible movie……..and now, no matter how lovely and regal and statuesque she looks, I just keep seeing her peeing all over the Efron (to save him from jellyfish stings, naturally………)……….that’ll be a hard movie to mind-erase in order to properly appreciate this lovely lady again…….

    • 3boysful

Shudder. The BKs appreciate the warning.

      • quiltrx

Indeed, I’ve just been saved from wasting valuable Netflix-watching time. I was considering watching it–I so love the Cusack.

        • 3boysful

          Me, too.

  • Diego!

That dress is merging with her skin… Not the best from her…

  • Ozski

I love everything from the neck down. Sorry, she looks like the Joker.

  • hughman

The bust on the dress should have been sitting about 3 inches higher.

    • decormaven

Absolutely. I’d be all in for this look, if that had been the case.

  • In_Stitches

That bust sits so low…coupled with the deep V, it makes it look like her tatas are teetering down the road to droop town. It looks like it fits properly, so I’m going to call it a design flaw.

  • majorbedhead

Not loving the bodice on this, but man, she must bathe in sunscreen to keep her skin so gorgeous and pale.

  • VeryClaire

Nicole, the answer to your question is No, I don’t want to see your bony clavicle. You can do better.

  • bertkeeter

Almost perfect…as mentioned in comments below, bodice too loose…but not low, just not fitted enough…check out back shot…bodice sits correctly in back.

Embroidery nearly killed look…sort of run of the mill “big bow” detail!

    Love the jewels.

  • shirab

That bodice just makes me nervous. She’s an arm-raise or a sudden move away from slipping out of it.

  • bertkeeter

    OK…after a second glance…bodice maybe a tad too low! :)

  • NYCGlamourpuss

Love the dress, and I’m bananas over her hair! The whole effect is very glammed up “Grecian Goddess”!

    • HomeOfficeGirl

I second on the hair… how DO they do it!?

  • Cameron Turner

    Love this!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1180174329 Elizabeth Phillips

Love the dress, shoes, etc. The lipstick doesn’t look right.

  • Patricia Gillett

Seriously wonky bodice. It wrecks what would have been a pretty polished look. Love the jewelry and shoes, though.

  • IAmJ

    The lip color is stunning.

  • Jeff Warhurst

    She’s beautiful.

  • Erica_Vuitton

I don’t know how you wear a dress like this and successful keep the panicked “Oh shit oh shit please let my nipples still be covered!!” look off your face. That’s a professional right there. Really love the dress (even if I want to pull it up one inch), the jewels are perfect and THOSE SHOES are giving me life with their delicate elegance. The lips however… that lipliner outline pains me.

    • Donna Tabor

That dress is defying gravity, thumbing its metaphoric nose at it.

      • demidaemon

I believe some industrial grade tape is involved.

        • Donna Tabor

Actually, it’s probably due to a corset built into the gown, along with serious stays at the waist.

There’s more than one way to skin a cat, or to hold up a bodice.

          • demidaemon

I hope you are right; otherwise, this dress is going to be a bitch to take off, and her nipples will never forgive her.

  • MartyBellerMask

That’s a little low-cut for Nicole. Otherwise very striking.

  • Bakerlooline

But really, how much boob tape has she got on underneath that thing? I’m just thinking getting undressed will be like pulling off a bandaid.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

This would be wonderful but for the hair. Did she have a fight with her hair stylist, or did a bird fly straight into her head? Given how often she looks Hitchcock-Blonde fierce I wouldn’t be surprised if a bird dive-bombed her out of spite.
Still, snaps up. Love the colors in the bracelets. Pendant necklace might have been nice though, because that’s a lot of skin and sternum. Lovely skin and sternum, but toss a little sparkling light of jewels in there too, play off of it.

  • unbornfawn

I just want to hoist the top of that dress up something fierce. I would love this if it fit better. The hair looks sloppy. Like the shoes.

  • http://profiles.google.com/gillianholroyd gillian holroyd

I think the bodice is too loose as in: she could twist from side to side but the bodice would stay facing front. Love the drape of the skirt though and that back view climbing the steps is sublime.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

The dress is pretty. A little unremarkable, but pretty nonetheless. I wish it sat higher on her chest, though. And it washes her out a bit. Her hair is a little too frizzy, but I appreciate that it’s not severely pulled back. I LOVE the shoes. LOVE. And her makeup, especially that lip color, is WAAAAY too harsh for her.

  • iheartbuffy

someone got her boobies done. great dress.

  • http://frankbettecenter.org/ sleah_in_norcal

i have officially O.D.’d on white dresses on nicole. but i have to admit her upper torso is yummy alabaster. you guys distract her while i grab those bracelets and run!

  • Anniebet

On a few pedestals lower than our Tilda, but still demi-goddess material. Great dress and makeup, but the hair!

Oh my, these pictures don’t show the back very well, but that “bun” in the back looks like it her hair was wrapped around a wadded up diaper and had a family of beavers trying to make it into a nest. I do like it from the front though.

  • Garcia Loca

Will they stop with the illusion netting already???

  • lobsterlen

I’ll have whatever Nicole is having …

I am not 100% in love in with this look but she sure seems very happy these days.

  • Virginia McMurdo

I think her chest wigs me out a little but she definitely has her stank back. She is working every Hollywood glam bone in that skinny bod and ditched the “just livin’ in Nashville slump” (no offense to Nashville, but ya know).

    • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

I’m not wild about that plunging neckline. Something looks off. Otherwise, I think she’s gorgeous, as usual.

  • applepie

on my irrational dislike list, but even i must admit, she looks perfect from tip to toe.

  • quiltrx

Beautiful. And those bracelets need to come live with me.
My only eye-twitch is the lipstick, which is reading a bit ‘old lady’ for me.

  • Airkisses

Am I the only one who thinks her makeup looks absolutely AWFUL??? The contouring on the eyes is off and her lips look too harsh. She always sports way better make-up than this. An elegant statuesque white dress is kind of a no-brainer for NK, but sloppy hair, bad makeup, and a too-low bust ruin what should’ve been a home run.

  • PLH

I’d be willing to do a time-share w/ someone for those bracelets. Or I’d cut a bitch for them. She looks tres elegant.

  • HomeOfficeGirl

N.O. I don’t want to see that much of NK’s chest. It’s way too bare.

  • nannypoo

I realize she’s flailing her boobies around here, but all I can see is that lipstick.

  • ConnieBV

Perfect, except for the DAMN LIPSTICK. Nicole-before red, please buff. Also: liner. Also: blot and no matte. I don’t even mind the hair but the lips are giving me agita.

  • TSkot

Does it come with the double-stick tape, or must that be purchased separately?

  • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

If everyone is just staring at you wondering how your dress is staying up AND you need very visible sheer netting to keep it up – then it isn’t working – it’s distracting. No. Just no.

  • shopgirl716

I cannot even fathom the level of deprivation required to wear this dress when you are well into your forties and have borne children. I am 46 and there is No. Freaking. Way. this dress would happen for me. There is only so much plastic surgery can do, the rest comes down to hard work.

That said, I think she looks amazing. Love the red lipstick.

  • kimiakay

The dress needs to be pulled up. When that happens it takes away from it, for me. But those jewels! Her makeup is perfect and I love those Jimmy Choos.

  • demidaemon

This dress looks like a nip slip waiting to happen. therefore, I cannot approve it.

  • bellafigura1

Terrible bodice, heavily highlighting her sternum. This is not her dress.

  • pattycap11

    i think it’s all beautiful

  • PeaceBang

Garish make-up aging her terribly. Dressing falling off, hair a disaster. The shoes and jewels, however = divoon.

  • http://www.facebook.com/rosalie.rinaldi Rosalie Rinaldi

I think she looks perfect – head to toe. Wow Wow Wow!

  • Caroline Harper

she bathes in the blood of virgins, right?

  • ItsDicey

    Stunning, really.

  • EEKstl

I”m not thrilled with the bodice but she really does look stunning – and those shoes…wow!

  • oohsparkley!

If the whispy hairs were tamed, the hair would be perfection.

  • shelley514

She’s too pale to wear white clothing and red lipstick. The bodice of the gown looks like it’s floating in front of her chest as if she’s a paper doll with a paper dress held over her just waiting for the tabs to be folded down.

  • AndreaSkates

It looks like the thing is too short-waisted for her, and so the bodice which ought to sit 3″ higher is ludicrously low because the waist of the dress is in the right place.

  • guest2visits

    The bodice is too low and flimsy. I hate looking at a dress and the first thing I see or think is;
when will it fall, or when will it get hiked-up. Just too low. Apart from that…. she looks quite beautiful.

  • theblondette

Whaaaat? Are none of you worried by that messy lipstick, her bad hair, the way her dress seems a crumpled handkerchief away from falling off her bosom?!

  • Beverly Kozma

The dress is just OK, but those bracelets …. why don’t diamonds and rubies get more attention than multitudes of crappy dresses?
