Why would you put all the interest in the hair and the jewelry but then wear the cheapest looking dress and shoes?
      All elements should sing together.

    • roble ridge

Hate the hair. It looks like my Barbie doll’s hair that time I tried to curl it with a real iron – melty and burny.

    • annabelle archer

Jesus! It’s not Halloween, it’s not Goth inspired, it’s not shitty hair/pretty face night! It’s a PUNK themed GALA. Why, why was it so hard for so many to get right and/or interesting? She has been on a downward spiral into the gawd awful lately anyway, so maybe I am judging her harshly, but the emo spider jewelry is making me irrationally stabby.

      • Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

It’s like you read my mind, right down to the emo spider jewelry.

      • JasmineAM

THIS. If I were a famous millionaire, I would have had so much goddamn fun with this theme. Even if I were a stylist, this would be the one time where traditional rules don’t matter and you could do almost anything with your client. I am disappoint, Hollywood.

        • makeityourself

As Nina would say, “Ladystars, you have bored me.”

      • Sarah Adams

So glad someone else can’t stand the spider jewelry. It looks so crap cheap – like “I bought this at the state fair when I was 8 because it was sparkly” level cheap. It’s insulting somehow.

    • jmorino08

It was a punk theme, Dr. Cameron, not Witches on Hair Coloring Day!

    • Lori

The dress is bad, but it’s so par for the course with her that I can’t even work up any real feelings about it. I do find myself wondering why are so many people seem confused about the different between goth and punk. It’s not as difficult to figure out as picture of this event would lead one to believe.

    • Jane Donuts

Oh girl. This just looks like a cheerleader imitating a punk. No no no.

      • Little_Olive

        Hahahaha nailed it.

    • crash1212

Dress is bad. Love the spider necklace, but adding it to all the spider rings is just too too. Hair is a mess. To sum up – I like the necklace.

    • hughman

Ugh. I’m pretty sure I see “SOME PIG” woven into her dress.

      • MilaXX

        ^That^ would have been awesome!

    • MilaXX

Love the jewelry, commend the hair attempt. I wish she had done just a little bit more with the eyes. This is the one look that crazy black makeup would have worked with.

    • Candice Booth

I love all the spider jewelry and her hair but I think most were confusing goth with punk. I would kill for those spider rings and I think the dress is beautiful just not punk but since hardly anyone else went that way I can’t fault her. Again I want spiders adorning my fingers.

    • bluefish

It’s become pretty clear that the vast majority of these ladies and their stylists have no clue as to what made for a punk look or vibe. This is Halloween, complete with spiders. And white-silver nail polish with all this arachanamania? Yikes!

    • tonibaloney

Her boobs have been rendered lumpy and strange by this awful dress.

    • BrooklynBomber

      Ack! Spider phobia activated.

      • Sarah

My sentiments exactly. HATE ‘EM. The one dangling into her decolletage alone is giving me the creeps, much less her fingers.

      • SewingSiren

Earwigs are worse. Case in point – you never see earwig jewelry do you? Never.

        • BrooklynBomber

Ha! But there’s no logic to phobias.

    • decormaven

      Avoid the Arachnid.

    • CommentsByKatie

Yes. I was originally going to say this is boring, until I saw the beautiful rings and necklace. It’s like a Kohl’s dress and shoes paired with designer jewelry. ???

    • PrunellaV

She looks dumpy and insane. How can this be?

    • Tanya Wade

      The world’s saddest faux hawk.

    • Danielle West

Does she have a stylist? If the answer’s yes, she needs to fire them. I want her so badly to start looking good on the red carpet.

    • Constanza Álvarez Espinoza

The problem is the dress and the shoes. But her face and hair look beautiful.

    • Raanky

I hate that hair though. It’s doing nothing for her. And that necklace looks awkward and disproportionate.
She’s not doing anything good for me here. Although, I love those rings…

    • demidaemon

I love the necklace. That’s about it.

    • Angelo

Erm, I don’t think her hair reads in photos the way it was supposed to… It’s a shame.

    • quiltrx

I’ve been shocked that some of the gowns were Donna Karan…Hailie’s in a good way, this one in a BAD way. it looks so cheap! I think it’s the edging that takes it into “sale table at Hancock’s” territory.
And I hate the jewelry…I’m scared of/hate spiders.

    • Bert Keeter

WRONG! Slit way to far to side. Whole thing makes her look wide. N those shoes???

    • Gaby

Love the hair. Hate the dress and the “spooky” spider jewelry – makes the whole thing look like a Morticia costume. Goth is not the same as punk (there’s some crossover, sure, but this is full-on Halloween, aside from the fabulous fauxhawk-updo).

    • formerlyAnon

      Bless her heart for trying.

Face-on, she looks like a Kewpie doll.

    • Jessie

I like her hair, dress, jewelry, shoes, and especially arm candy ;). It’s just she looks old now in her face for some reason :(. For her being 34 she looks 40 to me. She looked great in her House era. She still has a great body tho, I’ll give her that.

      • MajorBedhead

I think it’s the shade of blonde she’s using now. It doesn’t suit her. IMO, it makes her look considerably older.

    • Imasewsure

She is one strange dresser but I love all of the extra touches – the fauxhawk, the jewelry etc. The dress is ugly but so what…she’s one of the few who actually brought some fricking whimsy to the event. You go girl (but your dress is ugly)

    • marlie

      Punk does not equal goth.

    • ankali

God, this is painful. I am literally wincing in embarrassment for her. She just DOESN’T GET IT.

    • Catherine

Clearly Donna got tired from her amazing dresses for Naomie and Hailee and gave poor Jennifer the leftovers.

      Freaking awesome necklace though.

    • MajorBedhead

I love the jewelry and hair. The dress, not so much.

    • Cathy S

I love love that necklace. The rest is meh, but that necklace is fantastic.

    • Carol

Let me just say that a punk themed gala was doomed to failure, fashion-wise. The celebrities, actors, actresses, etc. attending this event are so far removed from “punk” that it’s laughable laughable. But seriously, could none of these celebrities, or anyone in their employ, figure out the difference between punk and goth???

    • Monzerrat Ontiveros

a lot of them confused the theme with halloween!

    • tereliz

Oh, honey, no! This girl! She needs to be styled So-Cal effortless cool, yet her stylist keeps making her look like she’s trying too hard. Edgy hair and jewelry with widow’s weeds and that face? UGH!

    • m0r0

She would be well served allowing her hair to return to it’s natural brunette state. She is far less attractive as a blond.

    • MannahattaMamma

That is one HELL of a telephoto lens, that’s all I can say.

    • Annie Lure

The spider jewelry is kind of cool (although I would have subtracted a couple rings). The dress has a nice texture, but it’s more goth than punk.

    • nyll18

Not until this very minute did I realized that Jennifer Morrison and Ginnifer Goodwin are two different people. They had completely merged into the same person in my head.

My world is slightly rocked at the moment.

    • librarygrrl64

Definitely more goth than punk, but I like the use of the spider jewelry with the web-like fabric of the gown.
