  • I said it before and I’ll repeat it. I don’t get it. Julianne is a fantastic actress, very beautiful with a lovely face and body… yet this?
My feet are hurting for that poor pinky toe.

    • Mary229

She is a brilliant actress and a gorgeous woman. Her dress makes me sad.

      • drdarke

Hey, Moe! She’s wearin’ a bedsheet, too!

        Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!

Wow, that dress is – unfortunate, and the shoes (as commented on elsewhere) are no prize either….

    • Dam_Angel

this little piggy went Wee Wee Wee all the way home!

  • misstressofsylar

her poor poor toes. can’t unsee!

  • Are any of you seeing her toes in those shoes? Honey, you are an A List actress, I think you can insist on shoes that don’t dislocate you pinky toes.

  • carpediva

Um, how is it possible to leave the house for an event and not know that the sandals you’re wearing don’t actually accommodate your pinky toes?

  • Why oh why couldn’t she have worn one of the fab things she was in in that recent magazine shoot. The bodice is boxy looking on her, and the ballet length skirt is not working for her much.

  • OrigamiRose

    Ugh. Those toes.

  • Sorry, but the pain I’m feeling for her feet ruins the whole look. Even in this size obsessed world, nobody cares what size shoe you wear. Wear a pair that fits!

  • Not a favorite look of mine and that hanging pinky toe is KILLING me!

  • Tamara Hogan

  • Coolekat

    Please someone help her.

  • lbl

  • Candice Richardson

That toe situation is unacceptable and her dress is even worse. Do her stylists hate her?

  • hughman

Oh Satin, how you tempt us on the runway. But once we’re in your cold embrace, you taunt and embarrass us with ass wrinkles and bitter puckers. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice…

    • I read that as Oh Satan….
      It still worked.

      • hughman

        LOL. You filthy heathen. 😉

    • NOLA_gal

See what you did there? I read this first time through as “Oh satan..” True in both iterations.

  • lrober03

It would be so much better with an even length at the bottom

    • Carla_Charlton

And with the stripes in the skirt as shown on the model.

  • I’m pretty sure my aunt made this exact dress for my cousin’s 10th grade homecoming dance.

  • Crystal

Waist up- yes. Hair is pretty, bodice is simple and fits well, jewelry is fine.

    • Tatiana Luján

      I agree 100% on that.

      • Crystal

I keep scrolling up to the closeup of her smiling and scrolling my screen down until I can only see her top half. I want to weep.

  • Pennymac

“Wee Wee Wee, all the way home……” Poor little piggies!

  • HomeOfficeGirl

Hey wait a minute… that skirt was the one on the Miss Piggy puppet I got for Christmas 1977!!

  • Onika K Morris-Alleyne

She needs to understand and accept that an ankle strap is not her friend, and neither is complicated couture. Keep it simple and sleek sis

  • appliquer

No. I don’t understand why she wears so much black – it is so harsh on her coloring. From the neck up, she’s beautiful. And the shoes – ouch!

  • susan6

Wow, almost everything about this is wrong. The bodice doesn’t fit right and it’s squeezing her in all the wrong ways (didn’t know you could have muffin top above your chest), the skirt is poofy and unflattering, the shoes don’t fit right. From the necklace up she looks fine, but everything below is just mis-sized and misshapen. Are there no stylists or tailors in France?

  • Mary229

Beautiful woman. Amazing actress. I hate this dress.

  • MilaXX

I love her, but I can’t with the struggle shoes. Lady stars, if your pinky toes are trying to run away tell your assistants or stylist to go buy you another pair. To be honest these look like her feet are slipping down because of the height and probably could use some no slip inserts.

  • That’s a nice shade of lipstick on her. Let’s not speak of that half-assed bolt of fabric pinned around her. (Though this dress may have benefited from TLo’s Standing Carriage – it’s so wrinkled that the fabric looks super cheap – and I’ve touched this type of fabric in person, it has the most amazing hand.)

  • Looks like they changed the fabric to something that wrinkles really easily…how odd. But I can’t not like this cause I think she is the most beautiful woman ever basically.

  • Jennelle

This dress looks like a high school craft project.. Dior couture…for shame!

    • Blame Raf Simons.

  • E. D.

The top of the dress is interesting. That skirt needs to decide what it wants to be when it grows up.

  • IAmJ

This is atrocious. The dress is sad and crafty (House of Dior, please explain yourself), the shoes are wrong for the dress and a torture device for her feet, the jewelry is an afterthought, the makeup is too brown and cakey. All of it. No, wait, the hair looks nice.

  • I picture her in something filmy and floaty and Mediterranean bluegreen for the setting – would be lovely on her colouring.

  • VioletFem

    Pretty color, terrible fabric.

  • crash1212

She sure has shiny hair. That’s all I got.

  • filmcricket

I don’t hate it? I acknowledge all the problems everybody else is pointing out, and her poor feet! BUT. I feel like this succeeds because of what it isn’t. It’s not overly complicated, it doesn’t stumpify her, her chest is supported, she’s not wearing bear-trap shoes… If it didn’t have a mullet skirt, and she switched out the shoes (preferably to some that fit) I’d be fine with it.

  • Anniebet

The foot fairy totally cursed her, huh? Those pinky toes are trying to escape those hiddy shoes, and who can blame them?

Uh, I like the color of the skirt. Can’t think of one other thing that works here. The top makes her look like she has no waist and no breasts. The hair and makeup are sloppy. Too bad, ’cause I do like her. New stylist time?

  • TheAmericaness

What IZZ she wearing? Plus her pinky toe literally looks like it is trying to commit suicide in that last photograph and I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that that’s exactly what it’s doing.

  • Tracy_Flick

Well, she seems unusually happy for a woman whose feet are being tortured.

The pleating on the runway version is much more interesting. Julianne’s looks like Barbie clothes.

  • Qitkat

    1. Well, drinking that Flaming Lemon Drop was a mistake.
    2. Who the hell is chopping onions?
    3. I WILL smile through my tears.
    4. Ahh, there’s that damn stylist. You just wait.
    5. If I have to smile for one more minute, I’m going to rip off this dress. I’m keeping the diamonds though.
    6. And throw my shoes at somebody. The Bitter Kittens are going to roast me for these. I may need surgery.
    Luv ya, bye-y.

  • BrooklynBomber

I don’t like it, but considering some of the get ups she’s been known to show up in, I’d say it’s a big improvement.

  • You can call it what you want but THIS IS NOT COUTURE! End of story!

  • jmorino08

Don’t look so pleased with yourself, Julianne.

  • jw_ny

I wish there was more volume/life on the back of dress and train…this is just kind of hanging dead back there. The folds on the front of the dress on the model gives more life and interest to the skirt too. Otherwise, I think she looks pretty good.

  • SewingSiren

    she got punk’d

  • NoveltyRocker

    Shoes. Likey.

  • Louise Bryan

Je deteste those shoes. And the dress needs a belt.

  • Imasewsure

I don’t see how anyone could focus on her shoes when the dress is so awful. Beautiful woman… eternally fashionless

  • quiltrx

I’m just going to focus from the chest up, where she looks beautiful (and I love that necklace).
I wanted to love the skirt portion, I really did…I love the color and the iridescence. BUT it’s just a shapeless bedsheet. If ever there was a skirt in need of some “torturing”, this is it. Just an expanse of disappointment as it is.

  • frannyprof

The toes! And I wish she had stuck with the original skirt on the runway look.

  • pepper76

It’s not perfect, but I just realized that she is 52! I’m reserving all of my comments and bowing down.

  • Jessi03

Miss Lady, WHY are you wearing a dress inspired by my favorite scrunchie from 1993? Put it away and go to your room.

  • PeaceBang

In that last waving photo she looks like a cute red-headed doll someone packed in an ugly mauve gossamer gift bag because they didn’t have time to wrap the thing properly in a box with paper and a bow.

  • demidaemon

Well, it was a short run of simple fabulousness, Julianne. Back to your normal hideousity, I see. *cries in the corner*

  • elemspbee

Awful dress and awful on her. Black tube top with a light lavander, long, baloon skirt with a mermaid tail?

  • Prom dress.

  • I hate the back! I feel like the dress is falling apart. I hate the colour combo. It makes her look like a cheap Christmas ornament. I hate the bust, it does nothing for her…. All in all, I hate this. It feels like an anti-werq.

  • Diego!

Oh no… no! Honey, no. Send it back ASAP!

  • I don’t think she cares about fashion. That skirt is UGLY; it looks cheap. Maybe she is too busy to try on several dresses–or she needs a better stylist. Something is amiss.

  • I refuse to believe this mess of a dress is a Dior. She looks radiant and happy, so there’s that. But the rest should go in a wood chipper.

  • In_Stitches

This looks like a knock off that was made in hours, not a fabulous Dior dress. Why isn’t the bodice ruched, why did they change the fabric and add a mullet? I think the original design might have actually worked on her.

  • carnush

I like the dress. Too bad about the shoes. Her poor toesies!

  • mmc2315

Aw! So close! The mullet kills it for me.

  • MB

  • She loses a couple of inches in that dress easily.

  • Emily Rose

It looks like someone wanted to prove that they could wear their awful bridesmaid’s dress again and so threw a black tube top over the original top in an attempt to make it cooler. Yikes.

  • PastryGoddess

I was wondering when this picture was going to be featured. and thank you from the bottom of my cold bitter heart, for not showing up close shots of her feet in those shoes

    • Fordzo

MTE! As I was scrolling down, part of me was in horror at the thought of seeing a closeup of that crazy toe stuff going on, and the other part was in full-on train wreck mode and I knew I wouldn’t be able to look away if there WAS a shot of the shoes.

  • I like this look. It’s not perfect, and of course the toes are making me cry, but she’s so obviously happy and feeling very beautiful…..the attitude makes up for the faults of the dress. And I have a real personal weakness for iridescent fabrics, so extra props to her for that.

  • It’s… interesting. I mostly like it, but with the dark background, there’s this illusion that she’s thick around the middle. Her hair and makeup look really beautiful.

  • NYCGlamourpuss

Nope. She fucked it up again.

  • librarygrrl64

  • Marcella

I’m not sure which is more disturbing – seeing her poor feet or hearing her say that she didn’t even feel that.

  • JP

Why can’t this poor woman find shoes that fit?????
