John Cho at ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Premiere

Posted on May 15, 2013

In an attempt to yank the spotlight away from Kirk, Spock and Uhura, we’re trying to feature some of the other members of the cast, but they sure as hell aren’t making it easy.

C’mon, John. Could you maybe give us something to work with here?

John Cho attends the Premiere of ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ in Hollywood, California.

What is this, your first day at Ernst & Young? Loosen up. This is boring as hell. Kirk and Spock are a couple of attention whores (who happen to be dressing very well for this poledance), so you need to step it up, Sulu. Warp Factor 5 … to STYLE.

Mkay?

Kumar should have taken him to White Castle before dropping him off at the premier.

    • Rand Ortega

Nothin’ like a sweet spliff to chill ya out before a poledance.

      • MilaXX

A little doobie inspired clothes shopping would be interesting

        • Rand Ortega

          Yes!

        • SassieCassy

          or hella fug

          • Rand Ortega

            It wouldn’t be Ernst & Young boring, that’s for sure! ; )

    • http://twitter.com/RaankyRaank Raanky

Where’s Neil Patrick Harris when you need him??

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

“Junior partner at the firm” is not your best look, John.

    • StellaZafella

Harold and Kumar need to go shopping…at someplace other than Suits-R-Us.

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

It does look distressingly Men’s Warehouse.

      • formerlyAnon

Oh dear, you two are depressing me. So he’s not interesting, nor even approaching elegant. But I thought he looked beautifully soothing, and “all correct.”

        • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Sadly though, at such an event, “all correct ” just ain’t good enough. Sure it is true that the bar is insanely high. But then these folk have access to the best of the best, and armies of people to get it right. So there is a lot less wiggle room than we would give “real people”.

          • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

It used to be that “all correct” was the most we could hope for from so many of the boystars. Fortunately, so many of them have been upping their game lately that “all correct” isn’t quite enough anymore.

  • Sobaika

I’d like to have his babies, whether or not he’s dressed up as an accountant.

    • BarniClaw

I’m with you on this one. I find this man insanely attractive. I was lucky enough to share air with him in a tiny shop in South Pasadena toward the end of last year. I came out of the restroom and there he was and he took my breath away so of course I ignored him since that is what I do when confronted by celebrities or hotness. [Oh, geez, I'm clearly still a 13-year-old trapped in a 43-year-old body.]

    • http://twitter.com/starrika starrika

Me too! He’s the best looking, I think. I’d take him over Spock or Kirk any day!

    • filmcricket

Yeah, he’s far more attractive than ZQ, Pine, or Cucumberbritches. This is a fairly boring ensemble, though. Maybe he thinks the lace-less shoes make it interesting?

    • sojourneryouth

Me too. I always drool over him, and I firmly believe we would have the best looking Blasian babies ever! My only *tiny* gripe is that the outer edges of his eyebrows are threatening to take over his entire forehead, Khan-style!

      • http://dorothydamage.wordpress.com/ Dorothy Damage

Funny, I’ve had the same dream (of making Blasian babies).

        • sojourneryouth

It’s hard not to. The man is divine.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

    Investment banker Harold Lee, everyone.

  • nnbb

This is so boring, all I can say is that I am REALLY looking forward to some Cannes red carpet bitchery.

  • BritneyE

I remember an episode of Go On where one of the characters took John Cho’s character clothes shopping and he looked incredible. This man can wear clothes, so this is extra. disappointing.

  • MoHub

George Takei should have something to say about this look.

    • Rand Ortega

      “OH MYYYYY!”

      • snarkykitten

heard it in his voice, too!

    • MilaXX

The bow ties he designed with Jesse Tyler Fergusen would look great with this suit.

      • Rand Ortega

Brill. I call for a Bow Tie Renaissance. Buy 1 from JTF’s Tie The Knot charity & support marriage equality. Look fabulous, uphold the Constitution. Win Win!

  • MilaXX

Not bad, but a colorful tie would do wonders

  • lrober03

Unless I’m mistaken, he’s missing the shoelaces from his shoes…

    • alyce1213

You’re right. I wonder if they were meant to be worn that way.
Maybe it’s a prison thing. (snort)

    • Rand Ortega

Did Harold get sent back to Guantanamo? lol

  • Rand Ortega

He’s so freakin’ gorgeous (His scenes w/ Gabrielle Union in “FlashForward” still make me ache). He could rock so many different looks. Whoever styles Alan Cumming should get a call.

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

Honey, you’re lovely and we want to love you but that’s an interview suit. (And I don’t mean TV.)

  • alyce1213

He doesn’t look bad, nothing about this is really bad like we’ve seen BAD. It’s just boring.
He wears clothes well, he’s cute, and he has fabulous hair. So we need more from him.

  • http://www.facebook.com/beccalise.deveaux ‘Becca’lise Deveaux

He’s so cute though. I have a crush on most of the Enterprise crew, haha.

    • MilaXX

they really are easy on the eyes

  • another_laura

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz *snort* wait, what?

  • Catiline

A JOHN CHO POST! I love him!

He’s capable of much snappier dressing. Not that I, uhm, obsessively look at pictures of him at premiers or anything.

  • jetpackdino

Aw. You already got the job, John! No need to keep wearing interview suits.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Considering how much of a piss-poor effort the non-Star Trek boystars usually put into their red carpet appearances, I appreciate that his suit fits properly. But he definitely needs some color and a little straightening out here and there.

Maybe we’re finally entering a new phase in which just wearing clothes that fit and look nice aren’t actually enough for the boystars.

  • Diana

    He’s so cute I don’t even care what he’s wearing. =)

  • Natalie Marshall

Yeah, it’s boring, but damn John Cho is good looking. And forty, so clearly bathing in the blood of virgin unicorns.

    • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

He’s FORTY???!!!! Well, now I can lust with abandon. He’s not that much younger than I am.

      • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

WOW, he’s OLDER than me. Now I definitely don’t feel guilty about lusting after him!

  • MK03

Can we have some Simon Pegg next?

    • Rand Ortega

Yes, please. His new movie w/ Nick Frost, “The World’s End” looks HILAR.

    • MilaXX

Love him and his wee self.

  • appliquer

I think he looks fantastic – what a great-fitting suit.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Angelica-Smith-Mertens/150401222 Angelica Smith Mertens

George Takei needs to teach him a thing or two! Get at ‘em George!!!! :)

  • Nonmercisansfacon

He looks darn good to me.

    • maggiemaybe

Yeah, he is sexy as hell.

  • mrspotts66

i think he looks hawt.

  • formerlyAnon

You say boring, but I say beautifully done. Sometimes the classics can be restful and rejuvenating.

  • Claudia

I have such a crush on him. And I’m so sad “Go On” got cancelled.

  • shorty j

I gotta say, though, I am loving his hair. But that’s mostly because I wish mine would do that.

  • JP

Why no shoelaces? Is that A Thing now, or does the poor boy only have one set of laces for all his shoes and he forgot to switch them out or something?

  • http://profiles.google.com/sauchih Sau-Chih Feng

I work in a bank, why don’t my coworkers look like him?

  • rtuko

Let’s be fair, I doubt stylists are throwing themselves at John Cho to dress him, as opposed to ‘leading men’ like Pine and Quinto.
