I can’t believe i’m saying this, but I like it. Hair still a little frzzy and she needs earrings, but not bad.

    • Louise Bryan

I believe it, because I agree. Simply chic!

    • drdarke

I was originally going to make a crack about STAR TREK’s original Costume Designer, William Ware Theiss, and his machinations to cover up navels while showing abdominal skin every chance he got – but I can’t hate. This ensemble looks great on her – elegant, sexy and (for something with That Much Fabric) very cool and comfortable.

A far more successful Western homage to the sari than that dress Jane Fonda was wearing – which only worked because of her sheer Jane Fonda-ness!

  • lexilexi

The weather in Cannes was dreadful… but she looks FABULOUS!!

  • Maluca

Oh dear, she truly does looks stunning!

  • nannypoo

That is a great color for her. She looks beautiful.

  • Rand Ortega

    Wow. She looks absolutely stunning.

  • Gorgeous!

  • flamingoNW

Pretty great except for the slight underboob. I like her hair, actually.

  • Knightley

The underboob/peekaboob thing is driving me insane. Ruins what would otherwise be a great dress and a great job for her.

    • scrappy1

“Peekaboob” is now lodged permanently in my vocabulary. Thank you for that. 🙂

    • Verascity

Agreed. It’s so close to perfect, but that ruins it for me.

  • carpediva

What a gorgeous dress on a gorgeous woman.

  • That color is gorgeous on her. The dress is a little unflattering on her chest, but the make up/cool snake bracelet make up for it.

  • She is a beauty.

  • frannyprof

  • Chuck Barthelme

Her hair could have been done better. But otherwise, wow.

  • IAmJ

    Her bone structure is stunning.

  • cowper

Color is fabulous. But that said, the draping makes it look like she has her boob in a sling. Let us hope such an injury never actually happens to her (or anyone else wearing these boob-sling dresses)!

  • Lori

This would be a total win for me if it wasn’t for the keyhole bodice. I almost always hate those and I don’t think this one is doing her any favors. The color is great though and she looks beautiful.

  • She is absolutely beautiful, here. Love everything!

  • GillianHolroyd

Her makeup is SOOO much better than, say, a year ago.

Something about the placement/shape of the keyhole is throwing off the proportions; likewise the solid triangle of fabric above her boob is bugging me. Maybe that should be cut out as well?

Despite some quibbles with the dress, she looks utterly fantastic.

    • marlie

YES. Maybe she has a different person doing her makeup these days? So much softer than it was a year or two ago.

      • CakesOnAPlane

        And she’s got eyebrows! Finally!

  • In_Stitches

That’s some upgrades Grecian goddess fabulousness. The color is divine on her and the bodice really works. Might be her best look to date in my opinion.

  • random_poster

What a great look on her. The color is gorgeous, and the softness of her hair is totally flattering.

  • gabbilevy

Ok, the serpent jewelry is definitely a thing on the RC right now.

  • demidaemon

I don’t get the cutout. Otherwise, she looks pretty.

  • E. D.

Almost a WERQ – don’t like the lip color.

  • marlie

This color is stunning. If it weren’t for the cutout in the front, this might just be perfect.

  • Nice everything. What a stunning woman. Where was Jessica Chastain when People Magazine was look for a woman who was both beautiful and relevant? Her tiny tummy poking out makes me like her even more.

  • j_anson

I love this. Could be a WERQ, in my opinion. Maybe not the hair. I get the impression she has super-fine hair that’s hard to keep un-frizzy.

    • marlie

It doesn’t help that the weather in Cannes has been gross and rainy the last few days. Not a friend to ANY woman’s hair!

  • Buffy

I like this! But the hair needs to go

  • formerlyAnon

Good dress. As stated already her hair is awful, but that’s probably mostly the weather, and she looks great in that dress & color.

  • Sadie-Ann

Get rid of the cutout and I’ll be completely for it. Those things just make weird torso shapes.

  • berkeleygirl

  • KayEmWhy

Toga, toga, toga! Not crazy about it.

  • Anniebet

Pretty damn super great if you ask me. The whole thing. Hair, dress, makeup. Oh, except for yet again another fricking piece of snake jewelry. Did the the oh-so expensive jewelry designers all cross breed with herpetologists?

  • Candice Booth

Love love love red heads in red! I also dig her hair again.

  • H2olovngrl

So beautiful! Love the color! Love her hair and make up. The snake jewelry, maybe not so much…

  • TheAmericaness

My main issues is that the cutout makes it look like her boobs are in bandages. I can’t not see that. Other than that it’s a wonderful color on her.

  • Make-up is fantastic. For the first time she doesn’t look overdone. On that note, the hair could use some combing. I’m a bit over the bed-head thing. The dress – wow. Fits her beautifully. I am on the fence about the cut-out, but she looks great- And yes, earrings would be a big help.

  • decormaven

Wish she had chosen some type of jeweled hair adornment. That really would have been a nice touch. Stunning color on her.

  • fairi5fair

She’s lovely. Rather daring for a red head to wear red.

  • ThaliaMenninger

    Very nice.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

What a pretty dress. I love the color. And I know it’s wrong, but I wish she had red lipstick on instead.

  • That’s a great color for her. Really makes her skin and eyes pop. It’s the blue undertone to the red, I think. I prefer blue reds to orange reds myself.

  • I actually like the hair. She looks sexy and sultry, which is not something I’m used to seeing from her.

  • crash1212

I’m usually not a big fan of the cut-out dress, but this one is gorgeous. It’s a beautiful color for her and I love the hair and her make-up. I’m wondering why this isn’t a WERQ. It is to me.

  • sekushinonyanko

I like this, and factoring in the rain at Cannes I’d give her a WERQ, very minor frizz in the hair and all. I still think her hair looks nice and I think in this situation flyaways count as an act of God.

  • That triangular cutout sucks, but the overall look is gorgeous.

  • I probably shouldn’t even like this, but I actually love this dress a lot. Her hair seems a tiny bit crusty, though.

  • pugluv

Love the color on her and I would totally love the dress without the cutout!! That diamond serpent bracelet is to die for!!!!!

  • Crystal

She looks pretty, but wtf is going on with that bodice?

  • Pretty. Could have used some earrings, but I love the color, and she is wearing a not so easy dress well.

  • MannahattaMamma

    nailed it

  • Tatiana Luján

The boob window throws off the proportions.
Makeup is great, her hair looks good and the color of the dress is gorgeous on her.

  • StrandedFashionista

With the toga styling and the Bulgari snake bracelet, she’s rocking some magical ginger Cleopatra realness.

  • NYCGlamourpuss

I really like this a lot! It’s different, and it works for her. Can’t quibble with that.

  • She looks GORGEOUS. I love her hair like that. A cascading mane. Fantastic.

  • Pterodactyl111

    GORGEOUS. I love it.

  • librarygrrl64

I would have liked some earrings with this, but otherwise she looks lovely. Great color for her.
