Heidi Klum in Los Angeles

Posted on May 01, 2013

It’s like Heidi leaped out of her pool and cried “Liebchen! We have to go shopping RIGHT NOW!”

Heidi Klum (pictured with bodyguard boyfriend Martin Kristen) does some shopping at Melrose Place in Los Angeles.

Which is great and all, Heidi. Your bathing suit coverup and sandals are pretty chic, we have to say. But if we had to choose between taking that guy shopping or spending the afternoon in a pool with him, well… Let’s just say our love of shopping would suddenly and mysteriously evaporate.

Here’s hoping you bought him something NOT gray.

She looks so much more appealing when all the good aren’t on display. And the mantoy? Send one of those over here, stat.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I love the dress, and her bag is cute, too, but I hate those sandals. But, still a cute running-around-town-look.

  • Constanza Álvarez Espinoza

It looks like the dress doesn’t let her walk with more freedom, her legs are kind of stuck. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but that dress should be shorter. And I hate those type of sandals.
And, yeah, the boyfriend is quite good looking… but I miss the lovely couple she made with Seal.

  • Paigealicious

    I miss Seal.

  • Spicytomato1

I always feel vaguely inappropriate whenever I leave the house with wet hair. I’m thinking now maybe I shouldn’t feel so bad. Although hers looks less wet than weighed down with leave-in conditioner. Maybe she’s not just shopping, but conditioning, too! Full plate, that woman’s got.

  • MilaXX

She looks great even if she does need a bra, but all see is the dress that Amber Rose and Phaedra Parks both wore while very pregnant.

  • LauraWL

Love those sandals! She looks happy and relaxed. Wish my hair looked that good wet!

  • SewingSiren

Psst.. If the lady’s paying for it, why not get the Vicuna?

  • Julie

You guys have really been killing it lately. XD

  • Pants_are_a_must

No longer guarding that body, huh? GOOD. Now go home and continue cosplaying as Bond and Bond Girl.

    • shirab

So if your bodyguard becomes your boyfriend, do you hire a new bodyguard? Or does the boyfriend continue to act as a bodyguard? If the latter, is he still paid to be a bodyguard? The lives of the very rich can be so confusing.

      • Pants_are_a_must

I’d say he has even more reasons to guard her now.

      • decormaven

You just rename him the bodyfriend.

      • Sunraya

I just said that he doesn’t seem to be too attentive to the people around – he’s looking down all of the time. New bodyguard, stat! Although why she needs one is beyond me. Does Nina Garcia have one? Tim Gunn?

      • formerlyAnon

Bodyguards have on duty/off duty hours like everybody else. I’m sure there’s a whole roster to cover her & the young’uns.

  • BazoDee

Is that Matt Bomer in the window behind her in the second to last pic?

Anyway- she looks fabulous and chic and comfortable – a hard trifecta to pull off.

    • kimmeister

I sure hope Matt hasn’t been decapitated.

    • PrunellaV

Looks more like Joan Rivers to me! Damn the photobomb meme. Now I look for them in every picture.

Now all I can hear is Heidi in my head saying, “My big Apfelstrudel! Come hold my hand and take a walk mit mir!”

    • Clueless_Jock

      Apfelstrudel LOL…

  • Sobaika

Hah, I almost always leave the house with wet hair – it dries quick, in my defense! Her hair does look a bit weight down though.

  • TheAmericaness

I guess Richard really needed a job, but I’m surprised there’s no color blocking. He, on the other hand…. I guess if you need to keep yourself from going back…

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Thanks for the “Sunset Boulevard” reference!

  • Mb

Did she make that bag in Home-Ec class?

  • RebeccaKW

His shoes make him less appealing. Her shoes make my feet itch. They just look like they would make your feet sweaty and irritated.

  • christinewithanx

I can hear my grandmom saying, You’re going to catch a a cold!!!”

  • Fordzo

I don’t know. He’s the opposite of the lollipop-head girls we see everywhere. His head seems too small for his body. I’d get out of the pool and go shopping, too.

  • Stubenville

She couldn’t fit a comb in that shoplifter size tote bag?

  • crash1212

Never thought these words would cross my keyboard, but I love everything she has on. Everything. What a cute outfit and her hair is totally appropriate. Wow…I may need to lay down. As for ‘the man in grey’ – he’s OK.

  • maretha2

Didn’t Seal cheat on her? If so, good riddance.

    • http://howtofaint.tumblr.com/ How to Faint

I thought it was the other way around; she cheated on Seal.

OT, but I see someone has given you a down vote for this. For what reason, I can’t imagine. Can I go on record as hating the idea of a down vote. i don’t know why it bugs, me but since you can’t see who likes or dislikes our comments, it seems passive aggressive to me. I know it’s a Disqus thing and not in TLo’s hands, but I’m irked. End rant.

    • MilaXX

What ya gonna do? I’m much more interested in hearing why someone I guess dislikes my post, but I can’t do a darn thing about an anon downvote, so oh well

      • http://www.GiftedCollector.com/ The Gifted Collector

Maybe it’s not a matter of them disliking your post but just disagreeing with what you wrote? I’ve used the down vote for that purpose when I didn’t have time to go into a whole discussion about why I disagreed.

        • MilaXX

I guess it’s just a matter of how I see using the the up/down votes. I you an up to either acknowledge a reply when I have nothing to say, if I find something funny, or instead of making a “me too” post. If I disagree or dislike something I am more likely to comment why I disagree or dislike because for me posting is more about an interchange of thought and I just don’t see a downvote adding anything to the conversation. Still, at the end of the day, it’s not that deep. I don’t loose any sleep over them. It’s just a feature I think it useless.

    • formerlyAnon

I canNOT stand that one can no longer see who’s responded to comments. I would greatly prefer no “down vote” option, but that’s a personal preference for stacking the deck in favor of civility and kindness.

When it’s working right (BIG caveat), I confess I am somewhere between resigned and mildly approving of some of the other features of the new format. My biggest peeve is it seems to require noticeably more bandwidth to function properly. I think that’s stupid for a product often used as a platform for recreational/discretionary users.

  • Qitkat

I love Heidi’s shopping bag. It’s so chic.

  • julnyes

She: looks cool and casual, though dry hair would have been a plus.
    He: A grey Meh.

  • Qitkat

I see a dress that would look good on a lot of women, of different sizes. I now want one, but never sans bra. I never saw the pregnant looks you refer to. Heidi probably won’t wear a bra as long as she thinks she can get away with it. Even though that ship has sailed.

    • MilaXX

Didn’t want to post links and wait. Amber wore a long sleeved version to the Grammys & Phaedra wore hers to the real housewives of ATP reunion. Neither looked awful, I guess the stretchy material is very fforgiving

  • shelley514

Dress, bag, shoes . . . love all of them.

  • GorgeousThings

Sorry, the first thing that came to my mind was, “Schatze, your titzen need hoistin’.”

    First picture, WOLF!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1124162729 Igor Buarque

I have to agree, it seems that the fact of the dress being long kinda makes her walking weird.

  • Sunraya

For a bodyguard, he certainly doesn’t seem to be too attentive. It appears that he is generally looking down. She might have to fire him and get a new one. :)

  • Trisha26

I really hope her hair is wet and that isn’t some styling goo applied intentionally. Ick.

  • barbarienne

I don’t dig on the maxiskirt, but I guess that’s part of the whole beach-coverup look.

Her large, ambulatory accessory, however, is awesome, and I would like to buy several.

  • Candigirl1968

    Her casual style is terrific.

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

Fabulous head-to-toe beach look. A little embarrassing for shopping, frankly.

  • http://www.GiftedCollector.com/ The Gifted Collector

Just how tall is this guy that he makes her look petite?

  • http://www.facebook.com/rheadabovewater Roberta Kendall

I love it when you make me laugh out loud at work. : )

  • formerlyAnon

Clear demonstration of her genetic superiority. She’s so much more attractive when she’s not trying too hard.

  • maggiemaybe

Love the look…and I need to go find a cheap knock-off of those sandals.

  • Anniebet

Pretty much great all around, even with the lack of upper support. That bag is drool worthy.

  • xmixiex

i’ve said it before, i’ll say it again- if only i could get away with looking chic when i throw my hair up in a messy bun… i feel nothing but guilt for the remainder of the day when i don’t blow dry. sigh.

  • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

I started at the top of the page and scrolled down, expecting to see Heidi in another mini of some sort. I’m happy to see her covered up. Someone with a gorgeous face doesn’t have to show everything.

  • jackie cohen

She looks great ….he, however, does nothing for me …. I keep thinking she could do better. (that’s terrible to say, I know; he’s probably a pretty nice guy!)
