Girl, That’s Not Your Look: Jada Pinkett Smith in Alexander McQueen
We suppose we should be happy about this turn of events. After we spent many long years in the desert, crying out our praise for them, ladypants are so ubiquitous on the red carpet now that we have to gently start turning ladystars away from them. Or at the very least, encourage them to be a little more discerning in their choices.
Jada Pinkett Smith attends the Coalition To Abolish Slavery and Trafficking’s 15th Annual From Slavery to Freedom in Los Angeles, California in an Alexander McQueen suit with satin trim.
We don’t mind the disco-fabulousness of it all, but those are some damn tough proportions for anyone to pull off. Pants like those are at their best on the very tall, willowy (pun unintended, dear) gals. Even the lapels are just a bit too much for her frame. But the real issue here is the color, which is HORRENDOUS, but doubly, triply, fourply so when combined with a face the color of a sweet potato.
Sweetie, what IS that? Do we need to start a new “Girl, That is NOT Your Shade” tag? Is Coco Montrese doing your makeup, girl?
