Emmy Rossum in Brentwood

Posted on May 23, 2013

Emmy Rossum looks better walking into her hair salon than a lot of people look walking out of one. But we can’t really hate because this is all kinds of summer-chic and she’s working the hell out of it.

Emmy Rossum stops by hair salon in Brentwood, California carrying a Ralph Lauren ‘Ricky’ bag.

Ralph Lauren Soft Ricky Bag

Honestly? We thought she looked cuter before she got her hair did. The braid and panama hat really sold the look for us.

Still; great dress, bag, hat, shades and shoes. It’s the quintessential killer SoCal day look.

gosh i love her. total celeb girl crush. love that dress too

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

She’s all “BAM Bitches! How do ya like me now?”

Cute look, would have loved a less obvious product placement bag to go with it. It’s a great, but do you need a full on big ass bag to go to the salon?

      • http://twitter.com/cornekopia Shawn EH

Maybe her curlers are in there!

      • swiss_miss

Maybe she’s not just going to the salon, but actually doing several things in one day? People sometimes do that.

      • http://heartprintandstyle.com/ Vivi N

Or maybe she just likes big bags. I know I do. That’s pretty much all I own.

    • Mismarker

She has beautiful hair, before and after. I want that dress for my own.

    • Lola Channing

she let someone do that to her hair?

    • thecitysleeps

Gorgeous everything hot damn! That bag, and that dress!

    • Amy909

Does anyone know where that dress is from? I want it!

    • MilaXX

LOVE the dress & prefer the before hair.

      • tereliz

God, me too. I really want that dress. I’m imagining that she’s going someplace fancy later in the evening, and that’s why the “after” hair is so off with the outfit. The hat and braid really make that dress so much more “oh, this old thing?” :)

    • theblondette

Love the way the dress moves! Diva drama in the daytime!

    • hughman

I would like the bag so much better if it didn’t look so new and Playskool colored.

Oh, I love that dress. I want that dress. I need that dress.

    • http://twitter.com/cornekopia Shawn EH

I dunno, the before and after shots are working for me. She looks very pleased, not in an arrogant way. Dress is lovely.

    • alyce1213

Love the way she looks both ways, but I’m not nuts about the bag — it’s a bit much.

      • l_c_ann

The bag is so big it looks like she should be listing to her left.

    • SugarSnap108

I love that dress! I want the shortened version for the 5’2″ crowd. (I look like a child playing dress-up in long dresses.)

      • sagecreek

In my next life, I will be tall! Want to join me?

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1540233153 Malve Lyborg

I can’t recommend that – your feet will grow as well and you won’t be able to buy nice shoes for your size 10,5 feet. Based on experience…

          • pop_top

THIS. I’m not even “that” tall and yet, my feet are larger than nearly all my peers.

          • Sara L.

6 feet tall and size 12 feet. Bam! Take that!

          • ErmengardeGreen

            I KNOW DUDE.

      • Qitkat

The internets can’t seem to agree on SJP’s height, but several sites say she is about 5’3″. So go ahead and wear those long dresses :)

5’2″ fist bump! I have several maxi dresses. I also frequent the tailor. It’s just the way it must be.

        • ballerinawithagun

I’m 5’2″ and live in long skirts and dresses.

    • crash1212

SO cute…before and after. I’m loving the whole messy side-braid moment we’re having right now. Wish my hair was long enough to execute it.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Agree – I like the before hair too!! But she still looks cute. I want her dress.

    • flamingoNW

Don’t like the bag at ALL but I LLLURV that dress…

    • ccinnc

      Gaaaaah, I want that dress!!!

    • stubbornthoughts

      WANT. ALL.

    • kimbalala

i really want that dress as well. Use your fashion super powers, TLo, and find out where we can get one…please?

    • PeaceBang

That’s a LOT of look, but she’s absolutely carrying it off. Too bad I just bought a house because I’m having serious bag lust.

      • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gaby

Congrats on the house! I’m in the process of buying an apartment.

      • formerlyAnon

Congrats on the house! You’ll never be bored (or feel financially flush, if that ever happens currently) again!

    • unbornfawn

Agreed. I like her before the hair job.

    • carolina

Girl seriously needs some color on her lips

    • http://profiles.google.com/sauchih Sau-Chih Feng

Agreed that the braid and panama hat tied with the look more, maybe the hair is for an event later that day?

    • Sara Brams-Miller

I want that dress!!! Who makes that???

    • SewingSiren

      Agreed. I love braids.

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Like JL Coleman, she has that Zen-level cuteness working for her 24/7.

    • EveEve

Welcome to Product Placement World Emmy. You have now arrived, and can reap the financial benefits. “Gather ye roses” and all that. I have sort of mixed feelings about it though. Yes, she has been working hard toward it recently, so I am glad for her that she has seemingly achieved the goal, but I will miss the less affected Emmy a wee bit. Still, go girl, you are doing a grrat job, and cant wait for the next Shameless season!

      • sekushinonyanko

She must be enjoying getting to be seen all gussied up, since she usually looks pretty rode hard and put away wet on Shameless.

    • Alyssa

      I want that bag!

    • pop_top

This dress is like the daytime version of the one she wore with the sheer panels. I love it and wish I had it in my closet.

    • ballerinawithagun

Love that dress! You can see that purse from the Space Station.

    • maggiemaybe

It’s a perfect look. Lovin’ those ropey platform shoes.

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Oh man. That bag is on the back cover of Vogue. And I saw it and fell in love with it. And she has it. And that is my irrational hate for the day.

    • kimiakay

I love love that dress, and the purse too. She looks fantastic. I, too, prefer the braid.

    • Mary Lauer

My Google fu is failing me. I have not learned who makes the dress. Anyone else have more success?
