      i love her makeup here

      Widows weeds….

      • drdarke

But unlike Juliette Lewis, it works for her.

Yes, it’s a bit too gloomy, but she makes it look lovely….

    • Nonmercisansfacon

The hair style is not doing the khaleesi any favors here.

    • http://www.djplaw.com/ Tadiana

The shadow makes it look like the dress has a mullet hem and I was all set to hate on it for that reason. I dunno. It still looks a little dressy-funeralish to me.

    • crash1212

      Shoulda been a WERQ. Beautiful.

    • Sobaika

Wrong makeup for this dress. Takes it into goth-teen territory.

      • mshesterp

This definitely reminds me of a dress I owned when I was 14 or so. Not feeling it.

    • abish

still mourning khal drogo, i see.

    • teensmom99

Black lining is much better than faux-naked.

My judgement of anyone from GoT is completely clouded by how much I venerate that series but I have to say I love seeing her out and about with her pretty brown hair.

    • hughman

      Black nails and a rosary.

    • AndresB

Snow White in Black and White with the Red missing doesn’t work… take a cue from Dita here, Dear.
These days, something appears to be wrong with each and every D&G design – this one features thick waist and shabby button line. With the buttons straight instead of droopy and better tailoring which wouldn’t need the waistband, this could have been whipped into a nice sleek shape.

    • another_laura

These dresses just don’t work without the full Madonna treatment of multiple heavy chains with crucifixes, etc. It makes this lovely girl look dowdy.

      • raininmai

        I like your idea!

    • http://twitter.com/RaankyRaank Raanky

It’s a bit too funeral appropriate for me! She needed a pop of color, either through makeup, jewelry, or accessories. Those shoes, while cute, are doing her no favors…

    • jmorino08

For some reason this feels very Renaissance Faire to me. All she needs is a corset and heaving bosoms. And that would be an improvement over this stumpifying dress because at least it would have personality!

    • MilaXX

kinda funeral, but nice. A pop of color somewhere may have helped.

    • raininmai

She does look like she’s going to church here. But she could never not look lovely.

    • kaycem

how is she so fucking perfect? like… t-straps AND gross lace sleeves and i’m still mesmerized. i legitimately don’t understand.

    • BrooklynBomber

What the hell is happening to D&G?

    • http://twitter.com/omg_dora Dora K.

She looks cute, but that’s a very sad 1990s dress.

      • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

You’re so right. Pretty sure I owned a longer version (not D&G-level expensive, of course) and wore it to all my high school orchestra concerts.

    • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

No, no, no. The Khaleesi is not boring. It is known. Put on something different, Khaleesi!

    • nannypoo

I like this. I know there’s no reason why I should, but I do.

    • Mrs. Julien

that dress is not doing her justice, plus I’m pretty sure I can get that dress at Macy’s for about $119.99 plus 20% off with my store credit card. Don’t get me wrong, I love Macy’s, but surely D&G’s dress should be more readily distinguishable.

      Who died? Where’s the funeral?

    • Stubenville

      Teen widow.

    • MoHub

      Knobby knees!

    • http://twitter.com/carelessriver Caterina Maria

I love everything here but the arms. The length of the arms makes hers look short.

    • kimmeister

Looks like she’s about to perform in a choir competition.

      • l_c_ann

4th violin in a small city orchestra

    • Ediths_Head

Mussolini’s grandmother was buried in this outfit.

    • CommentsByKatie

I think this dress is lovely and that she looks beautiful. The ‘goth/widow’ comments are eye-rolling. Any all black dress with lace gets these comments. Just like any large floral print gets ‘shower curtain’ or ‘bedspread.’ You can reference these tropes in fashion without hitting them on the nose, and that’s what this dress is doing! Give her black nail polish and a burgundy lip, and sure, write this off as goth. But it’s more than that! She is working Lydia Deetz realness in a soft modern way and it is working for her. Snaps, Khaleesi.

      • eight_of_nine

I love it BECAUSE I am still a high-school goth at heart.

    • conniemd

      Nice funeral dress.

    • SewingSiren

It’s pretty. But if I had my pick of the Dolce&Gabbana I’m sure I would pick one that was a little more original.

    • http://twitter.com/NiamhsLife Niamh Aine

She is SO stunning but this look is all wrong! She looks like she’s in winter cloths going to a summer funeral!

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Hate the headband, adore the shoes, indifferent to everything in between.

    • Imasewsure

Beautiful woman… dowdy dress and ugly shoes though

    • MarissaLG

      Beautiful! Especially the makeup.

    • formerlyAnon

I’d have liked this dress a lot more had it been sleeveless. Jewelry might have been a nice touch, or more of a hairstyle?

    • Nicholas

Daenerys is all dressed up for Mordor.

    • Anniebet

I’m on the “like it” side. Don’t love the whole thing, but all in all she’s looking good, even the hair. It does cry out for a bit of bling though.

    • http://www.facebook.com/conysoledad Constanza Álvarez Espinoza

Looks like a widow to me.

    • http://twitter.com/crush_onyou crush on you

Sad; she’s doing the ‘I’m older than you think’ thing. And even though she’s gorgeous and black looks good on her skin tone, she can do so much better. This is a ‘meh’ at best.

    • Yasmeen

Perhaps Helen Mirren could rock this frock more (with some black tights, of course)

    • Airkisses

I love me some Emilia Clarke, but she is trying to imitate Detox’s b&w picture effect here… not even her makeup has color. She doesn’t look *bad* but that dress is too mature, at least with that styling.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

This is kind of a snooze fest. Her face is gorgeous (as always), but the rest of the looks is too dark and too boring.

    • Insidiously

She needs to STOP with these widow bitch dresses…bah

    • Contralto

If the hem was a bit lower and the neckline a bit higher, I could wear that dress the next time I sang in the Comfort Choir at church. I’m thinking middle-aged church lady is not the look this girl is going for.

    • jetpackdino

She’s on my irrational love list. She looks almost exactly like my daughter. I think she looks great.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=768540908 Badriya Al-Badi’a

It’s kind of Gunne Sax goes to a funeral in the late 80s.

    • Mary229

      Stunning skin.

      Khaleesi mourning her khal.
