I… like it? I think? What a weirdly shaped coat. Still, chic.

    • HomeOfficeGirl

Like the idea of it on the model (pants and cape seems like it could be fun) – but I think it’s just the model’s edgy style that’s selling it. On this one, it is SO conservative!! Not very exciting with the short sleeves… blah.

      • j_anson

I totally agree. To sell this, she needed to at least do something less “classic California blonde” with her hair.

        • Lucía Gavello

YES, hair and shoes are killing it for me.

        • fursa_saida

The hair is pretty much the worst possible choice. I like that she did a red lip, but the rest of her makeup also needed to be a bit harsher/more minimalist, I think. Audreybot could do this much better justice.

    • Maya KC

The silver bow works much better without the shirt gap. My first thought was that she had a really strange and unwieldy belly button piercing.

    • hughman

Bea Arthur’s Maude would have worn the shit out of this.

      • Renaissance_Man_ATL

Bravo! My first thought was “And Then There’s Maude”!

    • MilaXX

Feels like something is missing to take this to the level of fierceness I think it wants to be.

    • Tatiana Luján

I love the clothes, but the shoes and the hair aren’t fierce enough for the clothes.

    • Sara Leigh Merrey

Meh. Just looks odd to me.

    • nannypoo

Yet another celebrity I’ve never heard of. They seem to reproduce like rabbits. I like this outfit but she doesn’t really look edgy enough to make it work.

      • JasmineAM

Hell, I’m 21 and I seem to never know who some of these celebrities are.

        • Donna Tabor

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for admitting this!

    • JasmineAM

Not edgy enough to pull this off. Send this to K. Stew!

    • Ass Kicking Adviser

Incredibly chic. Wow. If she got a real hairstyle she could be sitting at the table with the adults.

    • Jennifer L.

Meh. As much as I think her acting is overrated, she actually is stunningly gorgeous. The makeup here just flattens out her features and makes her look super bland.

      • 3boysful

Not to mention that the highlighting in her makeup is rather blatant.

    • Anniebet

Sure looks like pants to me. I don’t get the whole “cape dress” thing. Anyhoo, she’s doing well with this look, classic and cool. Nicely done, Brit.

    • lrober03

I like it until it gets to the bow, and then I have no idea what’s going on.

    • bertkeeter

Not what I think of when I hear BALENCIAGA! Not at all!

    • decormaven

“You need four inches of bod and a great birthday.”

    • conniemd

Tilda would wear the shit out of this outfit. The long, long cape over the pants is just super chic fierce. Not an outfit to be worn by a b-list (c-list ??) actress.

    • annabelle archer

      Serving Chilly Willy realness.

    • jmorino08

I don’t even know what I’m looking at! Is that a long short-sleeved jacket over pants? A jumpsuit with a cape? Is it supposed to be that billowy or is it two sizes too big for her? I need a drink…

    • kimiakay

Is it supposed to show her skin just above the bow there? It guess it doesn’t matter but it looks strange to me. I think this outfit is too old for her. Too dark, too conservative, too too. The hair needs to be pulled back. Once again another one with no earrings, no jewelry of any kind.

    • Crystal

I dislike this. It looks like she’s a refugee from the new movie Nuns in Pants.

    • demidaemon

    • pookiesmom

Looks like something my grandma would wear when she’s feeling bloated.

    • Emily Smith

I feel like I need to see Tilda Swinton in this.

    • pattyw

I realize she’s barely made a dent on the celebrity radar, but she’s already on my irrational hate list.

    • Winter_White

Good choice for her. She’s a pretty blonde, and an actress — but she’s separating herself from the pack because her strength is as a writer. Always happy to see women getting film projects through, and the ones she’s written/produced are interesting…sort of odd and think-y. This look suits her well.

    • crash1212

Love. Perfectly styled. This is a great look for her…it’s just a great look – period.

    • lobsterlen

This looks like something Julianna Moore would wear.

    • SarahLovesFabric

To me it just looks like a diaper, complete with silver diaper pin.

    • carnush

    • Breatheinthegood

      She looks like a penguin.

    • Diego!

      Who is she?

    • frannyprof

I like it but it ages her.

    • hailtree

      my first thought: Penguin!
in theory it looks great. it’s the kind of dress that I think only works if you’re only standing straight or not moving at all. but it loses its ooomph when the wearer is in motion. it just looks weird then.

    • librarygrrl64

Hmmmm. Not crazy about the outfit, and especially the lackluster accessorizing. But, holy cow, is she a beautiful girl (no idea who she is, though). That skin looks impeccable, and I love the red lip.
