Bradley Cooper in Gucci

Posted on May 21, 2013

All the kudos in the world to Mr. Cooper for not being afraid of color.

Bradley Cooper attends the premiere of ‘The Hangover – Part 3’ in Westwood, California in a Gucci suit.

And while we’d love to talk about how the fit’s not that great, or that the lack of tie hurts the look, or even that we don’t care if it is for a role (which we doubt because we’ve been hearing that for about a year now) that hair is simply doing him no favors, we will refrain from doing so because he’s being really charming here and we may be bitches, but we’re not assholes.

Okay, we’re assholes.

Colorful jacket OR colorful pants. NEVER BOTH.

  • gabbilevy

Weirdly, the suit looks significantly better with the sunglasses on than off. That doesn’t make much sense, but hey.

  • I LOVE IT. I’m fine with no tie for an LA movie premiere in a bright colored suit. The shirt is the perfect blue to make his beautiful eyes pop. I don’t care what others say, I love the hair.

  • lrober03

That blue shirt is making his eyes POP

    • It’s also the orange suit – complementary colours. Hence the once-common advice for blue-eyed women to wear copper or bronze eyeshadow.

  • EdithP

Why does he look so different sometimes? Oh well, he is so nice to his fans, that is really good to see.

    • alyce1213

I kinda like that he looks different sometimes. Not boring.

      • EdithP

Yeah, I didn’t mean clothing-wise, I meant facially. I don’t even recognize him sometimes. Ah, maybe he’s just tired.

        • alyce1213

          I didn’t mean clothing-wise either.

  • Allegedly it is still long like that for “American Hustler.”

  • RebeccaKW

I’m not sure that shade of orange is the best color for him, but he’s A. in a suit and B. wearing dress shoes not dirty boots. Or sneakers. He actually doesn’t look too bad. And I agree, mega-charming.

  • Moriginal

Against all my better judgment and against all his alleged summer’s eve qualities, I still would.

  • I have concerns. First Will, now Bradley. We are sick of the banker/funeral/lawyer suits, but so far the attempt to give us live with color and boldness is failing miserably. That said, in this case, his cuteness with the crowd can cancel out his hair shaming. Just this once.

  • I don’t get the fascination with this guy.

  • zenobar

    Rust. RUST!!?

We had SO MUCH DECOR this exact shade of rust when I was growing up in the 70s. My mother made some really neat silk floral arrangements that would have looked great with this ensemble.

    Rust. I just can’t.

    • capybara_cafe

You just caused me to have a flashback. My gran had a couch with flowers this color, mixed with gold and avocado ones. The memories, how they buuuuuuuuuurn. *weeps*

      • Ooooh, the avocado of the 70s. Our entire kitchen was that color, including the stove and the fridge. And the lino. Baby shit green. Hideous stuff. The rest of the house was done in that lovely shade of gold. *shudder*

        • Are we related? My beautiful green eyed mother had everything in avocado green: the linoleum in the kitchen, the hi-lo shag in the rest of the house, the dishwasher, the washing machine and the 1969 Pontiac Catalina land yacht.

I think she would have had me in avocado green if she could have managed it. I’m still not over my fear of it.

          • We had a royal blue Chevy Impala, ’65. I think. That thing was a boat.

My mother used to dress my sister and me in matching outfits. Our family pictures were a fright.

  • MilaXX

I don’t mind that he’s not wearing a tie. In fact if he got a hair cut I’d be okay with this look. I think the color is great on him and I love the sunglasses. Who ever is telling him that hair looks good is LYING! Stop it.

  • I thought his hair looked better than usual…and the suit is lovely!

  • alyce1213

I never thought I’d say I like a man in an orange suit, but there you go — I love this.
I love his sunglasses and shoes too.
As long as his hair is clean, which it seems to be here, the length is fine.

  • appliquer

Love the hair – it isn’t slicked back for once! And the color of the suit really makes his eyes stand out.

  • JasmineAM

I can’t say anything negative about this guy while he’s being so awesome to his fans. And kudos to the girl with the physics book in pic 6.

  • Frank_821

Actually I love the idea of a Rust suit. The color isn’t quite right for him though

Love the shoes-just not with this suit

  • another_laura

Ya know, I don’t mind at all if you’re @ssholes, T Lo, because there are a lot of things that are not quite right here. But I can’t help myself, I give a lot of credit for – apparently – being a genuinely charming movie star who will go out on a fashion limb even if it doesn’t exactly work out. Is it the shades? Is it the smile? Is it helping the fans take pictures? I’ll give him a pass. Except. For. That. Hair. Gaa, it is bad.

  • RandiLu

I thought the same thing! It ties the look together better.

  • random_poster

The UCLA students are out in force. Hope that gal with the physics book got some studying done for finals.

The sunglasses and blue shirt look great on him. I don’t think the rusty suit is all that, and the hairstyle absolutely needs to go away.

  • l_c_ann

The shirt brings out the blue in his eyes.

I can guarandamntee ya that these fans will not remember his suit but will remember this day forever.

  • mightbewrong

He looks like a pumpkin. A charming pumpkin, at least.

  • I don’t understand what it is about what he looks like in this picture that seems so different than what he normally looks but, he doesn’t even look like Bradley Cooper to me. It’s like that photo comparison game where you try to find what’s different between the two pictures (which I always suck at) – I can’t pinpoint it but this might be Bradley Cooper’s cousin or half-brother but not Bradley Cooper – ha.

  • acevedob

Sorry the color doesn’t do it for me, ESPECIALLY with that hair. Cool sunglasses though.

  • capybara_cafe

I LOVE those shoes. I don’t like the color of the suit, and his hair wants cutting in the worst of ways. But how sweet is he to his fans? That’s adorable.

    • Dan_In_NYC

I came here to say exactly this. The Shoes!

      • MissKimP

I can’t take my eyes off those shoes. I LOVE them.

    • Beardslee

He looks more comfortable with his fans than on the red carpet. Good for him.

  • j_anson

Why are his shoes three inches longer than his actual feet? However, I do like the color and he DOES seem like he’s being charming, so hey.

    • Heather

Seriously, they are like Ronald McDonald shoes.

  • Awww, look at him, taking all those photos with the fans. That’s adorable.

Also? His eyes are mesmerizing. I barely noticed the pumpkin suit.

  • Inspector_Gidget

He’s being cool to the fans. But he looks like he hasn’t washed his hair in like a month.

  • Erica_Vuitton

Hate hate hate all you want. The more for me! He looks fantastic in this color (actual color in a suit on the RC haven’t we been begging for this?1?), the shoes are awesome and the hair is clean and styled. Add in the sunglasses and I think the look is just about perfect.

That last shot doing the iPad selfie is…. sorry I may need a moment alone… y’all are crazy saying he doesn’t look good here. Who cares about a tie when you’re pretty much sex walking?

  • DesertDweller79

I’m not sure I care about the fit or lack of tie. That is so great how he is taking pictures of himself with the fans!

  • Being from Austin, this just screams “Hook ’em” to me. I can’t get behind burnt orange as a fashion choice. It looks like football game clothing gone too far.

  • julnyes

The suit color is great and I like the shades.

The hair .. The hair … looks less greasy and that is an improvement though it really needs to go.

  • Heather

He needs to shave. And I’m repulsed by even the IDEA of this film. But yes, it does seem that he’s behaving like a non-jackass here, so I’ll give him credit for that.

    • MilaXX

Not gonna lie, the first one had me laughing until I dried.

      • Heather

The first one was funny, but the second one was offensive.

        • MilaXX

  • I’m sorry but that’s adorable how he’s taking pics with all the fans different electronic devices.

  • carpediva

So glad my patron saints of Hollywood cynicism were as charmed by these pics as I! Maybe we just don’t see the pics but you rarely see this kind of fan generosity. (And Cruise and Smith don’t count cuz it’s creepy when they do it.)

  • I think if he’d worn a better shirt (patterened), possibly like a navy shoe, and a tie with a pocket square, he’d have been good. Something about it just feels boring with that much of a color like that, but no other visual interest. Also, the long mane isn’t really great on him. I think he’s better off with a neat and trimmed hairstyle.

  • Rand Ortega

Kind of a lipless wonder w/out the facial hair. I love the suit, but the casual shirt sans tie takes the drama out of it. The shoes are all varieties of awesome.

  • It’s adorable how many photos he’s taking with the fans. And I LOVE the color of his suit. And I’m in a good mood, so let’s not ruin it by talking about his hair.

  • charlotte

Is it me or do the sunglasses make him look like Sean Penn?

    • Sally Brownson

I didn’t think of that, but I can see it. But his nose isn’t nearly as prominent 😛

  • That is indeed the least douchy I have ever seen him look. I really love the pale color of the shirt with the suit.

  • From the closet of one Ted Chaough, me thinks.

  • That suit is so Wes Anderson to me, I love it.

  • Calinda_L

He gives me the heebiest of heeby-jeebies.

  • He should be a tad afraid of this color. Although it does make those blue eyes of his stand out….

  • e jerry powell

He blew out the perm, and that’s something, but yeah, the hair is seriously sucking wind.

  • mhleta

    I’m smitten. That’s all I can say.

  • He should, however, be afraid of that color. Very afraid.

  • With the sunglasses, it has sort of a Don Draper Resort wear vibe. (or is that just me?)

  • nannypoo

There’s something really likable about this guy. The pictures with the fans are adorable. If I knew him I’m sure I would like him. That suit, however, is just hideous and that hair is just nasty.

  • I like the suit, but his neck beard and weird red bumps on his neck are grossing me out.

  • MartyBellerMask

He should just shave it off like in “Silver Linings Playbook”. He has never looked hotter than in that movie!!

  • imakeart

I don’t care about his hair. I kinda like his suit. But frankly, I have to force myself to look at anything other than those baby blues!

  • Love it, but I think it would be a little better if his belt matched his shoes (what can I say, I’m old fashioned), and if his shirt were a deeper shade of blue. And of course if the fit were a bit better. The pants are kind of weird all over, but the jacket is strangely proportioned, too….is it that the arms are too skinny? I can’t quite put my finger on it.

  • He looks like he belongs on the 90s sitcom Wings.

  • jonnyf8

It’s kind of JF’ed hair and who doesn’t like that — or at least the idea of it.

  • I’d honestly rather say nice things about people, but I don’t know how Bradley Cooper was selected as People’s Sexiest man. He has beautiful eyes, and he’s probably a nice guy. But he doesn’t look like a leading man to me. I guess I should be nicer because he is taking photos with fans, which is very sweet. There is something about his nose and bone structure that cries “supporting role” or “sidekick.” This suit is pretty dang bad. I guess I’d rather see Bradley on People instead of Brad Pit.

  • Qitkat

I love his hair. The things I would do…

    [slaps self…runs away]

  • kimiakay

I like the suit, and on him even. I think the color suits him (snicker snicker). But his hair, I don’t remember ever seeing him wear it any other way. Unless you count it pomaded and slicked back as different. He just doesn’t do anything for me, but I’d be curious to see him with different hair.

    • MilaXX

On alias it was a regular guy cut.

      • Kikishua

        On Alias, he was divine

  • PeaceBang

He may not be afraid of color, but he should be afraid of THAT color.

  • RuthGo

Seriously, WHAT is the deal with the hair?

  • MzzPants

I think he looks very ‘L.A.’. And working the fans? How cute is that?

  • Thank heaven he shaved that beard. He’s a knockout.

  • Yep, he doesn’t quite have it right, but oh lord…just let me hug this cutie

  • guest2visits

He’s fairly gorgeous here; even if I hate the suit color.

  • Haley Buchanan

Dear Bradley Cooper – you are an exceedingly attractive man… When you have a normal haircut.

  • Sandy Soto Teich

So over this guy. He’s the male AnnE Hathaway. Pretends to be into fashion but somehow always misses the mark. Ugh.

  • pattie capet

this is kind of hilarious. i know he did a movie lately where he ran around in ’70s gear, so maybe it’s rubbed off on him. all that browny-orange reminds me of a ’70s fridge. anyway, i like it that he doesn’t care and has those silly glasses to match. and bothered to match with the shoes. guffaw but cute.

  • drdarke

With the sunglasses and the jacket unbuttoned, the suit actually looks – kind of fun, @gabbilevy:disqus , which I assume was the intention of wearing a basketball orange suit with a light blue shirt all along.

    • I think this suit needed that levity, the glasses, maybe even some movement, to pop. It looked off until I scrolled down and then it just seemed to work. Love that he went for something different.

  • Rebecca Jay

He should have been afraid of that color. It’s gross. He looks like he fell in a vat of cinammon.
No matter, still love him… cinammon buns and all.

  • So no comment on the clothing but damn is he isn’t a fabulous star to the fans, taking pictures with everyone and everything. .

  • decormaven

The color of the suit, on him, works for me. Nice choice of footwear and sunglasses. Also, he appears to enjoy his RC time and his fans. That gets a huge vote of approval from me.

  • the_archandroid

Am I wrong or are those shoes the same ones Will smith wore with his amazing technicolor nightmare look… If so they work MUCH better w. this ensemble.

  • I don’t really love anything about this look, but here’s my hope: that B-Coop will be a trailblazer and one day there will be more color options for men other than blue, gray and brown.

  • carnush

I think he looks great. Love the shades.

  • shorty j

I usually find him pretty squicky but he actually looks really good here. I don’t know whether it’s the color of the suit (which is one I love to hate – everyone I know, their parents had a couch in that color at some point, but that doesn’t make it un-awesome. I think) or what but his skin tone and everything looks a lot more flattering than it usually does.

  • mmc2315

That’s a risky color. I think it mostly works. I’d have preferred the color on the jacket, or pants, but not both.

  • Melanie

He’s wearing a belt! I could kiss him just for that. I am so tired of all these gorgeous suits with no belts!

  • Melanie

Who made that rule? That’s ridiculous.

    • ampg

I’m with you – I think it’s a great suit. It just needed a crisper shirt and a tie.

  • Tamara Hogan

I’m not a fan of burnt sienna, but the shoes and shades are awesome.

  • lobsterlen

    Bradley Cooper looks very copper.

  • formerlyAnon

Adorable. Just adorable. Finally, I fall victim to his charm.

  • A little tailoring and a lot of barbering would have made this a WERQ, and he’s being so cool to the fans that I feel it in the ovaries just a little.

  • kaycem

i really like this look! the color is great on him and the combo is eye-catching and chic. plus, i’m glad he’s wearing the bronzer on his clothes rather than his skin this time (ba dum dum!).

  • librarygrrl64

I wanted a more intense blue shirt with this. Not French blue or royal or anything, just a few shades deeper than this. And, of course, yes to comments about tie and hair.
