• homofascist

    Yay! These are funsies.

  • Chickadeep

The chrome yellow is a no go for me, but I like the other bags…and a thousand times yes to the heel height on those shoes. I feel like there’s light at the end of the crazy shoe tunnel. I’m probably being overly optimistic, but still!

    • j_anson

I’m fine with the heel height, but they seem to be compensating for it in toe length.

      • Chickadeep

That’s okay by me, since I have pretty short feet…I’m more concerned about heel stability (they seem flimsy unless you’re pretty tiny). Still, I heart the fact that they’re not teetering hoof-toe fetish platforms; they feel fresh to me. Well, as fresh as anything that would look at home on a runway in 1967.

    omg YEA!

  • another_laura

Sharp as hell and I like the style of these although I do not like the yellow.

  • Funkykatt

Love the purses, hate the shoes

    • RebeccaKW

Same. I love every single purse, but those shoes look like origami.

    • j_anson

The purses are nice enough, but those shoes are truly awful. They look like they were designed for cyborg-women.

      • MissAmynae

        Rumplestiltskin elf shoes.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-Charlotte-Siewierkiewicz/503556621 Jessica Charlotte Siewierkiewi

Even as a child i thought very pointed shoes were ‘witch-shoes’.

    • jmorino08

      Ditto.

    • http://twitter.com/Bloodisea Barbora

      Same there.

    • barbarienne

I wonder at the structure of the heels. They look as if it wouldn’t take but a couple of ounces to snap them right off. Put your foot down even slightly wrong and BAM! Nothing short of reinforced steel plate could make that structure durable, methinks.

  • poggi

I love the checkerboard patterns and the yellow. So cute. Yea!

  • lalahartma

    Yay!

  • Laylalola

The shoes are hideous. The purses are a maybe (I’d almost prefer to just get a real vintage purse instead of one of these).

  • JanieS

The yellow is eye-searingly ugly and so are the shoes, but I wouldn’t say no to one of those checkerboard purses if someone offered me one.

  • hmariec19

Seriously, who wants shoes that make your feet look a foot long?

ETA: I do love the bags though.

  • Sara__B

I like the purses. I do not like the shape of the heel on the shoes — very clumsy for walking, even though it is low.

  • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Oh hell yea! And I don’t even LIKE yellow, so that should tell you something.

  • Tatiana Luján

Yeah to most of the handbags. Nay to the shoes.

  • Ruth Preston

That heel shape is a disaster waiting to happen. I fail to see how they could support one’s full weight. I like the last purse, but the rest are meh…

    • StellaZafella

In the first 20 minutes they fold in half and – voila! – your wearing flats! and, at least, it’s not that far a drop.

    • http://twitter.com/chylde chylde

Agree on the heel shape. They’re truly bizarre. I imagine them getting wedged in the cracks of the NYC sidewalks. They’d yank the whole shoe right off.

  • SewingSiren

    I love the shoes.

  • http://profiles.google.com/denise.alden Denise Alden

God help me, but I love each and every one of these.

  • http://twitter.com/lisledanielle Danielle Lisle

I want the second bag in any color BUT bright yellow.

  • jetpackdino

Those black-and-white checkerboard purses are to die. I could feel my pupils dilate as I scrolled down and caught that first glimpse. Hate the shoes though.

  • Lori

My feet are crying just looking at those shoes. I like the most of the purses, but I’d like them better if they were in some color other than that yellow.

  • http://twitter.com/SingingPhoenixD Jennifer Bober

Why, oh why do shoe designers make heels like that? It’s impossible to walk in them. They may look cool, but what good do they do in the closet? They’re sleek shoes and the heel height is great, but they’re ankle breakers.

    • embers618

I agree. I took one look at the first pair and pictured the shoe falling forward off the heel the second I put weight on it.

The upside, though, is that several of these heels would be cute as flats, so maybe breaking the heel off would be a win/win for me?

  • EzzyV

I didn’t know pizza toes were back. :-(

Love the black and white checkerboard bag!

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Oh, YEA. I *looooove* just about everything here. Now I just need to win the lottery…

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

I love these purses. They’re so cute and they need to be in my closet. The heels, not so much.

  • acevedob

    Yea! Love em!

  • http://twitter.com/uyeahu Michelle Wilson

Yes to most of the bags. Hell no to the shoes. Those are hideous.

  • funkycamper

Love! Especially the lovely lower, sturdy heel that doesn’t require a perpetual balancing act. Yay!

  • teensmom99

Yay–love the shoes even more than the purses.

  • alyce1213

Extra-long, pointy witch toes are back? Oh no. Can anyone really wear them?

They’re not as bad as toe hooves, though. I’m so glad those are going away.

    • Coolekat

      I can :)

  • http://twitter.com/Switch842 Kerri

    Purses Yea. Shoes Nay.

  • Lesley

hate the shoes, love every single bag

  • Kate4queen

    yay!

  • Rand Ortega

    Hellz. Yeah.

  • Shell

yay! Love the larger checkerboard pattern on the 7th bag. Still warming up to the smaller scale versions, though. I wonder if “checkerboard” is going to become the new “it” pattern, a la houndstooth.

  • Meg0GayGuys6

Still riding that checkerboard wave. Maybe it hasn’t been that long since it started, but my oh my- overexposure to say the least.

    • PastryGoddess

This was what they showed at their spring/summer collection in Sept. The accessories are almost always announced in the spring.

  • bailey debruynkops

yay to the bags nay to the shoes.

  • schadenfreudelicious

for those of us on the larger end of shoe sizing those things would end up looking like clown feet….

  • MrsAtaxxia

I love all of it. I shall have one of everything. Just bring the car around. And by bring the car around I mean the get away car, because robbing the joint is the only way I could ever afford one of everything.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

Very cute purses, but those shoes are not made for human feet.
Post a photo of a human wearing them and I might reconsider.

  • carnush

    Ugly. All of it.

  • http://twitter.com/Sugarbeetle Sugarbeetle

I like the fresh take on the Damier pattern which is so timeless with LV. I love the yellow, although if I were purchasing (HA) I’d go with black.

The shoes? If I went a half size larger, I may be able to pull off the pointy toes, but I’m not sure about the support on the heel.

  • H2olovngrl

The shoes are ridiculous, the bags are wonderful.

  • http://twitter.com/chylde chylde

    yay yay purses!

  • AmeliaEve

My quest is over! I had been searching for a purse that looks like a taxi cab.

  • Noelle Haland

An unqualified “yay” on the bags, and a weak “nay” on the too-long shoes. I like the colors & prints of the shoes and the shape of the heels, but the extra-long toe boxes are too “giant elf” for my liking (and for my size 10 – hah!).

  • crash1212

YAY = all bags. I want them all, but would settle for any one of them. NAY = shoes. Man, do I hate that heel – change the heel and I’d love the shoes, too. Checkerboards FOREVA!

  • BrooklynBomber

    Ack! The checkerboard square. Again.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=49702581 Susan Bullard Mayer

Cute, but what about these say, “I’m an LV and these are unique”? I can go to TJ Maxx and find something similar right now.

  • Beardslee

Those purses remind me of my salad days in the 80s. Love the low heeled shoes but the heel itself is a little problematic.

  • Brittney Puyau

Love the bags, but the shoes…just no. They would be greatly improved with a little kitty cat, pointed heel.

  • Little_Olive

I like the sharpness and I really like that they are not invaded my the LV monogram (which I hate).

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=571205045 Kent Roby

I love this entire Drag Race-inspired collection, though it has an “in” shelf life of less than a week.

  • http://twitter.com/Merneith Merneith

Those are the chicest shoes I’ve seen in years – and no, they wouldn’t fit on my feet. But still. I wish I could afford the barrel-shaped handbag with the black flap.

  • conniemd

Purses yea, they definitely evoke spring. Shoes nay because I reallydislike pointy toels.

  • SouthernGirlRena

Yea – I’ll take them all! Is that too greedy? Okay, someone else can keep the first 2 brown check purses but I’m keeping all the rest.

  • Trisha26

Nay to all. I appreciate them, but 60s posh is hardly fresh and new.

  • marilyn

Nay. These shoes and purses will be thrown out next season. People will make degrading remarks about them, the way remarks were made about Nehru jackets, leisure suits, white belts and white shoes for men.

Have these designers finally run out of ideas?

  • formerlyAnon

Muted, very muted yea. Despite the bright colors, these feel very . . . “mature” to me somehow. What the residents of a very high-end assisted living facility break out for bridge mornings. (Though I am sure one can dress them younger.)

  • MsOlympia

    GORGEOUS PURSES! F’ED UP SHOES!

  • Coolekat

    Love it! So 1970 ish

  • M. H. Leader

The poison-green shoes are designed only for those who have had their feet surgically flattened by running them under heavy road rollers.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jackie.atkins.31 Jackie Atkins

    Love them all–YAY!

  • MilaXX

    YAY!!! Love every single piece.

  • TheAmericaness

Purses – Yay; Shoes – Nay.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=745465637 Nellie Wilson

I love the purses, and I even love the shoes. They remind me of the sixties, when life was wonderful, the promise of free love was on the horizon, the air smelled of Yardley’s Eau de Love and patchouli, and I wasn’t a fat, old lady. Sigh. Me? No, I’m not feeling old and bitter. Never.

  • Chase

Those checkerboard bags are to die for! And finally, shoes that don’t look like instruments of torture.

  • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

As tired as I am of seeing this checkerboard print on every celeb and magazine layout in the northern hemisphere (and a few in the southern, too), I must admit it is popular for a reason. The colors are fun, the print is eye-catching, and of course the quality is superb. So, YAY on these, and a big raise to those at LV who marketed them so successfully.

  • ballerinawithagun

Outrageously expensive shoes and the heel will break off the first time you wear them!!!!

  • BayTampaBay

Nay! I am an angry bear claw shoe girl.

  • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

Yea, yea, a thousand times yea!

  • demidaemon

Those are the most sensible looking shoes I have ever seen in a YEA or NAY post. So I approve.

  • maggiemaybe

This is all pretty freakin cute. However, that shade of yellow is giving me a tiny migraine.

  • LaSylphide

Yea, yea, yea. Love anything yellow, so that’s a big plus, plus everything here is wearable (although I have to wonder about the heels on the shoes; they look great but how on earth do you walk in them?). That last pair of shoes is MINE!

  • Joyce VG

    LOVE! YEA!

  • lizajane1776

    Nay! Those shoes are terrible!

  • jmorino08

But if it’s not covered in Ls and Vs how will anyone know how much money I spent on it?!?!?

  • Gail

Nice to see the heel height coming out of the stratosphere…but these heels look way to flimsy to walk on. I can just see them snapping off or your heels sliding out from underneath your foot.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1050504936 Therese Bohn

Yea! These make me happy, maybe just because they’re so citrus-y! That one pair of olive shoes is highly, highly, highly reminiscent of a pair of olive shoes that Peggy wore (and I coveted) on Mad Men last season! (See TLo’s Mad Fashion review of Season 5′s “Mystery Date”)

  • http://twitter.com/lareveuse lareveuse

Yay! Bright and fun and geometric. I think the shoes would make my feet look like skis, but I’m glad someone is finally getting away from the 87 inch stillettos with 7 inch platforms. Exaggerated length, fine. I can’t afford them anyway. But maybe some of the knock offs will be more, shall we say, natural?

    • http://twitter.com/urban_gypsy Tess Danesi

I’m also glad to see some reasonable heels on the horizon. It would be fun to go somewhere and not want to rip your feet off at the end of the day. I join you and waiting for some cheaper knock offs.

  • ann greiner

Love the shoes – so tired of the same old shyte, interesting line, and quite unique. The purses are great too.

  • http://www.facebook.com/NicoleLittle1 Nicole Little

Yay, yay, yay, and to the shoes too. But nay to the purified tomato green.

  • quiltrx

Love the patterns, hate the colors.
And I have “tall” feet–not high arches, but the upper part of my foot would NEVER fit in the profile of these shoes.

  • http://www.facebook.com/sara.m.hottman Sara Hottman

Love bag No. 1. Love it.

  • fursa_saida

I am never, ever going to understand what anyone sees in this shape of shoe. Ever.

  • poolotter

    Love the purses!

  • DCSheehan

    Not just yea but yay!

  • anotherintro

Love loveeeeeee the purses. Despise, passionately, the shoes. What’s going on there?

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Love the shoes, love the purses. Love love love love.

  • ccm800

LOVE the shoes LOVE THEM! SUch anice compromise in height and stability for women. EMBRACE this or enjoy a lifetime of podiatry.

  • http://www.facebook.com/rachel.council jangma

Yea to the bags, nay to the shoes. They don’t even look like they would fit a human foot.

  • lilazander

    say YEA!
