It doesn’t look like it fits her right (bra strap, 1st and 2nd pics) but I do like the color on her and I’ll always love a sequin. Makeup looks a little heavy. Shoes are inoffensive to me as she is quite tan and they don’t blend in with her skin.

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

I agree. The fit is a bit off. Its a trifle long in the torso for her. As soon as she sits, with the extra volume moving around her back, it looks great. Too bad the kind of alterations needed would be unworkable for a borrowed frock.

      • http://twitter.com/FlyoverFi FlyoverFi

I agree that the fit is totally off. It’s interesting – generally people are trying to wear things a skosh too small, but this is definitely a skosh too large for her, which results in the awkward bra strap. Looks much, much better when she’s seated.

    • Vickiefantastico

She looks forty years old here. Pretty, but old.

    • MilaXX

She looks surprisingly wholesome considering the movie is celebrating that raunchiness that is Spring Break.

      • Lori

From what I understand it’s not so much celebrating the raunchiness as deconstructing it. I’m not sure if that makes choosing a fairly wholesome look more logical or less.

      • OrigamiRose

Agreed, though from what I understand, her character is the priss who ends up leaving early to go visit grandma.

    • Sobaika

Pretty, but she could use a change in hair.

    • oatmealpie

All I can see is the black bra strap. Why would you wear a black bra with straps under a pale yellow boat neck dress?

      • Aly Light

She looks to me like someone trying on a dress in a fitting room.

        • gabbilevy

Horribly planned press conference. It’s not as if they didn’t know there would be photogs. That lighting… looks terrible in person AND on camera.

          • Indigo54

bra strap showing. drives me crazy

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Glad I’m not the only one who noticed that.

      • MoHub

Makes no sense. Yellow bras are available. I’m wearing a very nice one as I type this.

        • Heather

Yes, or at least, she could wear a nude colored bra.

      • H2olovngrl

My second thought, right after I though how pretty she looked, if a bit bland. That peeking bra strap brought it all to a screeching halt for me. I mean, it’s not the end of the world, just inappropriate for this outfit, and I am sure she can afford a nude bra.

    • anotherkate

Pretty little dress and she wears that yellow well. PLEASE tell me satin bridesmaid shoes are a trend that will die soon.

    • http://twitter.com/urban_gypsy Tess Danesi

This is so not her color. It also looks much better when she’s sitting down than when she’s standing perhaps because the is off.

    • aeb1986

i like it better when shes sitting down

      • Candigirl1968

It doesn’t seem to fit well.

      • akprincess72

I just love that she can sit properly without flashing the good china!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=603005248 Jeff Warhurst

This is way too old for her.

      • VanessaDK

She has such a baby face that everything looks too old for her.

    • decormaven

So you have a lot of hair. Duly noted. But could you please pull it back so the detail of the dress can be seen? It’s not as if a hank of hair is a style, dear.

      • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Why so many ladystars feel the need, (or their stylists do) to present their locks as though they were a Tressie Doll is beyond me. Anyone out there remember those dolls? My sister had one.

        • decormaven

I definitely remember the Tressie doll. You pressed a button on the stomach and her hair grew.

          • Carrieanno

Unless you weren’t clear on the concept that she actually didn’t have an unlimited supply of hair and gave her a new short ‘do a couple of times. . .

            • http://profiles.google.com/gillianholroyd gillian holroyd

              Okay, that made me laugh.

        • formerlyAnon

I don’t remember if I had one or not – or if anyone I knew had one. But man, I remember the relentless advertising. We weren’t allowed to watch a lot of t.v. and there was relatively little ‘children’s programming’ but she must have been the “IT” toy of at least one year.

        • Vlasta Bubinka

          Are these her senior pictures?

          • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

            oh MEOW!
            (grin)

        • alyce1213

When ever I get a haircut, blowout, highlights, whatever, each and every stylist throws ALL my hair forward before I look in the mirror. Boy, I hate that and always deliberately toss it back. It’s a battle. They want to present the illusion that you have much thicker, fuller, more luxurious locks, but it looks stupid and the back is empty. I guess a lot of women just accept that and think it looks good in photos.

          • akprincess72

Reason # 45 I love my chin length hair. My stylist has me do a fabulous shampoo-commercial hair swing & it’s all good…

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Very pretty. (I’m hoping the orange hue of her skin is a product of the lighting)

    • IMNAngryLiberal

I really like Ms. Selena. She appears to understand that posing for the camera is part of her job and she always manages to look fairly happy about it. Cute dress and I’d like the shoes if they were anything apart from gold satin.

    • Carla_Charlton

      Poor fit, ugly shoes.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

This dress is too mature for her. And she bugs.

    • OrigamiRose

Wish the dress fit her better, but I like the overall look.

    • formerlyAnon

She looks great in this dress. I like the shoes, though they might be a tad mature for her in that dress. If the bra strap weren’t showing and her hair weren’t featured like a pettable stole, I’d have no quibbles.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000905542323 Rhonda Shore

She’s a teenager which makes the long hair age appropriate.

    • Indigo54

Cute. I think a narrower cut at the bottom would look better.

    • crash1212

What a cute look. She looks great. Excellent choices throughout. Nicely done!

    • http://aldonsusi.blogspot.com/ Susi R

Tacky mess. The dress looked so good on the runway, what happened?!

    • lrober03

I actually don’t mind this look. She’s pulling off the metallic she seems to love without it going overboard and looking tacky.

    • marilyn

I think this color is difficult to wear. She pulls it off. I like the dress sleeveless. This is a nice spring or summer look.

    • ThaliaMenninger

I’m fine with the color and the fabric, but I don’t think this shape works on her. Shifts are hard to pull off for girls with a bust. She looks blocky.

    • WonderAliceLand

Principessa style… so this is how the papal vestments got recycled.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I think she looks great! I’m not a huge fan of the shoes, and the dress seems a teensy bit stiff, but overall, I think she looks really good. (Though at second glance, it doesn’t fit quite right, since you can see her bra straps when she puts her hands on her hips.)

    • siriuslover

The dress looks fantastic when she’s seated, but when she’s standing, it looks a little big (plus a black bra strap). But again, if she wore this to a talk show appearance, she’d look amazing!

    • tereliz

this would be adorable if it fit her correctly…

    • Heather

Cute dress and shoes. This movie looks horrifically bad – offensive even.

    • erinbinek

      Trying too hard.

    • conniemd

I like the yellow color, but the brocade look of the dress is too old for her.

    • oldbobbydraper

this is for her upcoming quinceanera, i presume?

    • MarissaLG

She looks like the newest, youngest Real Housewife of Beverly Hills. Aside from that, it’s a pretty dress. Clearly the top is too big.

    • blogless

Put that hair a little higher and it’s Priscilla Presley, circa 1968.

    • Sarah Thomas

Michelle Obama would wear the shit out of this.

      • alyce1213

Oh, yes, a great color for her. (A bit longer, of course.)

    • Trisha26

Just a wee bit mature for her, n’est ce pas?

    • alyce1213

I like her. She tries, earnestly. Not always spot-on, but she shows determination and a distinctly upward degree of taste for a young lady her age.

(BIG difference between her and that Hudgens girl, who doesn’t have a clue).

Every time I think I have something to say, I scroll down and someone else has already said it. That usually doesn’t happen to me….which must mean that everyone who follows Tom and Lorenzo is utterly brilliant and witty!

    • mila_8

      Looks so much better seated.

    • Anniebet

Super cute dress, less than perfect fit. Today she looks 15, not 14. She’s growing on me.
