Sarah Hyland in Toujouri

Posted on April 17, 2013

This is really cute – and the perfect dress for her:

Sarah Hyland attends the premiere of ‘Call Me Crazy: A Five Film’ in West Hollywood, California in a Tojouri tulle beaded dress.

Toujouri Fall 2012 Collection

Love the slightly unusual shade of that skirt. Love the soft-and-hard feel of the look. It’s princess/ballerina-with-an-edge and it suits her to a T. Don’t love the shoes, which seem like an afterthought, although we’ll grant that you probably wouldn’t want a pair of focus-pulling shoes here. Do NOT love her booms, which only make her face look even more doll-like, which is jarring when she’s serving up so much babyhead.

That bodice is a little reminiscent of a recent balenciaga collection isn’t it. It reminds me of the bodice of the dress that Kristen Stewart wore to the met ball i think it was. It is very pretty though and I do like it paired with that skirt.

  • Sobaika

Is this a new hair color? I would prefer her with no bangs, darker hair, and a soft romantic updo.

  • charlotte

Her hair looks like a wig, and it makes her look even more like a wannabe Sofia Vergara. Not good, unless it is supposed to refer to the “Call Me Crazy” theme.

  • lovelyivy

I’m not sure I love the cut at the bust. The girls are looking rather tortured in that dress. Everything else (not the booms, booms are always awful- that is taken as a given) is fabulous.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Serious Smooshboob going on. And the combo of the long sides and über-booms is making her face look like a cabbage patch kid.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

      YES.

  • Beardslee

How old is this person? She looks about 12, so that bodice and the resulting spillage are, as you say, jarring.

    • MilaXX

      22

      • Sobaika

        No way!!

        • alyce1213

Way! She’s been acting very a long time — since childhood. (If you’ve ever seen Private Parts, she plays Howard Stern’s kid).

      • random_poster

That slightly makes up for the jarring effect of the spillage, although I would never peg her for being a day over 15 years-old.

  • Sarah

It is very strange how that model is in a high-end spa shower. I like the dress, but want it to be a few inches shorter on her. It looks neither-her-nor-there and I want it to be more tea-length.

    • SugarSnap108

Yep, it’s too long. Tea-length would be much better.

      • Lisa_Co

I also prefer the color skirt that the model wore (gray tulle over black skirt) and the silver belt defines her waist better.

  • MilaXX

She looks like Pia Zadora with this hair cut and color. I wish she had kept the belt the model is wearing.

  • mountainFashionista

Ugh — she looks like a nominee in the “Barely Legal” category at the Adult Video Awards. The fit of that beautiful bodice is just vulgar.

    • alyce1213

The bust is a bit tight, but I’d hardly categorize this — or her — as sleazy Adult Video Awards material.

  • crash1212

Pretty, but wish she’d kept the belt.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I like her haircut, but it’s a bit… jarring how different she looks. And the makeup looks nice, though a bit heavy-handed. And the dress is adorable – I just wish she’d kept the belt.

    Trim your bangs!

  • quiltrx

I like the dress. But she still is a human Bratz doll, which will never be good.

  • Chartreusite

But doll-head+baby-head seems like such a natural pairing!

I’m going to be very bitchy for a sec, which is allowed, because she’s rich and famous and I’m…not. She has a face that will *not* age well.

    • AwesomeMargie

I believe it’s the meds she has to take for her kidney transplant, etc. that made her face look like that.

      • Funkykatt

        I think she’s beautiful

  • desi_girl

She (or her makeup artist) sure does love putting on a ton of makeup. Going lighter on the blush might have made this look work better.

  • alyce1213

The bust is a little tight (I’ve seen A LOT worse), but it’s a pretty dress for a very adorable, tiny, doll-like young woman,

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=603005248 Jeff Warhurst

Is this Anna Wintour’s daughter? I really have no idea who she is, but the model is taking this one. Sarah’s hair looks wiggy.

    • alyce1213

She’s on huge hit sitcom, Modern Family. Has been in movies and on TV since age 5.

  • barbarienne

The makeup and hair make her look like a mannequin. She could stand very still in a store and see how many people notice she’s alive.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1401197785 Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

Yeah, the bangs give her a Muppety look that does NOT work for her.

  • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Fit issues. And her fringe is such a shame – it looks like she has really pretty eyes.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

This might have been one of the few dresses where silly putty shoes could work, though they should probably be on the dusty rose side.

  • jw_ny

oh…I bet her boobs were glad to get home and out of that top!

I pretty much hate the entire look on her…love it on the model tho. It’s soft and pretty on the model, where on Sarah it’s severe and too tight in the bodice, also it’s too long, needed the belt, her booms bug me, and her makeup is way over done.

    • gracedarling

Tell us how you really feel!

  • TSkot

    Needs the belt

  • VeryClaire

I love that that hem length is back in style. It can be so much more graceful than the short short skirts. I do not love that squeezing your boobs until they pop has become a fashion statement.

  • nannypoo

Very pretty dress. Her boobs are gasping for air and her hair needs a trim. I never realized before that she looks like Fergie’s baby sister.

  • http://www.facebook.com/conysoledad Constanza Álvarez Espinoza

I wish she would have done something with the hair. It kinda ruins the look.

  • ThaliaMenninger

The dress is fine, but the hair… Oh, my god in heaven. The hair!

  • MarissaLG

The top is a little ill-fitting, but this is really cute. Love the skirt.

  • Sara__B

The bodice is too tight, the hair is too long and straight, and the bangs are just awful. Nice gown, though — IF it fit correctly.

  • marilyn

This dress is probably okay for a movie with that title. My first impression was that the top was the top half of a one-piece swim suit. The skirt does not look like it goes with the top. Both are okay separate and apart. The boobs squeezed together don’t help. But, I expect more from designers than this.

  • Jenna

Does anyone else see a young brunette Rachel Zoe? It’s rather freaking me out….

  • Imasewsure

Me no like but I am not a big fan of her looks in general. Agree about the booms (Booms must die!)

  • formerlyAnon

Makeup + hair makes this look like baby streetwalker from the waist up. Skirt mitigates it, but only somewhat.

  • TheAmericaness

Ok, I’m going to have to come clean here: Booms? You lost me.

    • Guest

Bangs? Pushed up boobs? The blusher on her cheeks? I’m trying! :D

    • SewingSiren

      Booms are over long bangs.

      • TheAmericaness

Oooh! Thank you! From now on I can act like I’ve always known that. :D

  • Anniebet

The only thing I can say about Ms. Hyland is – the dress looks great on the model.

  • Warrior89

I’m just getting a strong Monchichi vibe here.

    • jeeplibby02

I was thinking bobblehead doll, but monchichi works, too!

  • AmeliaEve

Pretty dress, but the skirt length bugs. Two inches longer or four inches shorter, please.

  • http://twitter.com/cornekopia Shawn EH

Love the dress, hate the hair. You gotta updo with a 50s silhouette, or at leasty ponytail!

  • bellafigura1

Good grief, that much make up on skin that young just looks tarty.

  • Margaret Davis

Shorter, higher neckline, add cool belt of stones and silver, and an amazing pair of slighty glittery shoes. Keeps the sexy; keeps the mystery.

  • kathrineb

Booms do not suit her one bit. I really feel like the people of the world needs to learn which people suit bangs.

  • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

I miss the belt the model’s wearing.
