Empire Carpet and Flooring was a little late installing hardwood for that location.

    • tmchale

It’s okay, there’s plenty of hard wood when she’s around.

  • charlotte

I don’t love the dress, and her hair and makeup are atrocious. She doesn’t even look like the person on the cover.

  • Sobaika

No, no. Please God, no. Let’s not let blue eyeshadow be a thing.

    • Beardslee

Reminds me of junior high school, though at least in this instance it’s been applied by an expert hand.

    • It’s already a thing, judging by my 18 year-old daughter. It makes me want to cry. She left the house the other day looking like Krissy from Three’s Company the other day. Minus the short-shorts, but still. *sob*

    • NC_Meg

Blue eyeshadow always reminds me of Mimi from the Drew Carey Show. (Possibly an obscure reference but Google it and you’ll see what I mean.)

      • WIN

      • JasmineAM

        SPOT. ON.

      • eight_of_nine

Is the Drew Carey Show obscure now? I used to watch that show all the time. 🙁

        • NC_Meg

I don’t know if it’s obscure now but I never hear anyone mention it. Ever. It’s sort of weird because I remember it being pretty popular when it was on.

    • Clearly Ms. Wilde is a My Girl fan. Per Jamie Lee Curtis, a girl can never wear too much blue eyeshadow.

    • Qitkat

Brings back memories…I always thought Mimi (Drew Carey) was poking fun at the trend. When I was young (24) and worked at a downscale Walmart type store (yes, imagine such a thing!) and thought 45 was OLD, a co-worker of that age troweled on the blue eye shadow and clumpy mascara ala Mimi. We all giggled behind her back, but didn’t have the nerve to tell her how bad it looked to her face, as she was rather haughty.

    • Kristin McNamara

She may even be wearing blue eyeLINER too… That’s like, doubleplusungood.

    • rafraf25

I love blue eyeshadow XD But I wouldn’t ring my eyes with it

    • kmk05

I don’t think it’s the blue eyeshadow as much as it is the blue eyeshadow paired with the yellow dress. It’s just slightly too’ on point’, ‘spring pastels’ trend. Also, that hair makes me shudder. It all conspires to make her look dated.

    • I love blue eyeshadow, but I firmly realize I plant my flag on that particular mountain alone.

      • Sally Brownson

You’re not alone! I usually wear blue eyeshadow too. Generally a lighter color than this because I have deep-set eyes, but my crease shade is like that color.

  • I like the dress. The rest, though, leave me shaking my head.

  • Pants_are_a_must

It would be nice to reach the day in which people stopped ringing their eyes with blue, especially if it matches their eye color.

Wrong shoes for that dress as well.

  • Those sandals are officially the biggest whores in all of Shoe-topia right now. They are on EVERYONE.

    • Nelliebelle1197

They are sharing a corner with the Kors sandals I have seen on this blog 456 times this week

  • tereliz

Wow, that’s a LOT of blue eye makeup. Cute dress, if you cover her head to see it. Ugh, I’m mean, but I say this out of LOVE, Olivia!

  • cute frock, too much make-up.

  • Imasewsure

Cute dress, boring shoe. Don’t mind the makeup since it’s sort of Easter eggy and I’m not done biting the head off of little chocolate bunnies yet.

  • Lori

The dress seems a bit too tight on top, but is otherwise fine. I’m already sick to death of those shoes. I can’t even with that eye make-up.

    • l_c_ann

More than a bit too tight, that zipper, where ever it is, is going to put in for hazardous duty pay.

(And Nina had a 70’s flashback in her choice of the hippy blouse for the cover. Bad Nina, bad, bad.)

      • Lori

Ah, the hippy dippy blouse is (more or less) the part of the 70s I don’t totally hate. (I reserve the right to take that back if she’s wearing gigantic bell bottoms with the blouse.)

I’m just glad Nina didn’t take her inspiration from the current inexplicable trend for jumpsuits and put Olivia in some gawd awful one piece disco nightmare that looks like it’s unsafe around an open flame and has a collar that could get the Flying Nun airborne. [shudder]

  • crash1212

Cute dress. She looks cute in it. Not crazy about the shoe choice, but I’m a bit bored with those shoes we see everywhere on everybody! It must be so strange to stand in front of a gigantic picture of yourself.

  • Rand Ortega

Wrong shoes. Everything else is yum.

  • LondonMarriott

Cute dress, but the cut of top makes her head look gigantic. I like that cut for myself because it helps my shoulders balance my hips, but I hope it doesn’t do that to my head!

I also prefer the models’ shoes.

  • That make-up makes me twitchy.

  • Louise Bryan

Somehow I found the floor to be very distracting. Pretty enough dress albeit a bit tight through the bustline. Boring shoes. Prettier expression than the magazine cover. Blue eyeshadow, ringed around the eye, *sigh*…*sigh*

  • She looks good, but why so many colors!? Red nails, yellow dress, blue eyeshadow, black shoes, and whatever that color is on her toes….did I miss any?

  • PastryGoddess

Jimmy Choo obviously has a picture of someone with a goat…or a bear…or the Yeti

    Chic, classy and great face

  • The stray bang is frustrating me.

    • Qitkat

I can tell you exactly how that happens. I have a widows peak and my hair has a very determined direction of growth on either side of it. I recently asked my hairdresser to show me how to part my hair on the opposite side. You wet it down very thoroughly at the stubborn section in the direction you want it to lie and plaster it to your forehead and let it dry . Then style with products, curling iron, flat iron etc. But, If you try to do this before your hair is completely dry, it will defy you and create this stray.

  • nannypoo

This dress would be adorable on Kiernan Shipka.

  • Give her a hat and she’s ready for the Derby. Add gloves and she could meet the Queen. I don’t know, it seems rather uninspired, and uninspiring.

  • Trisha26

She must weight what, 1 pound? Yet the bodice is way too tight (puckery on the model too). Seems more of a Summer look too.

  • MilaXX

not crazy about those shoes with the dress.

  • I’m just thrilled that pretty, breezy dresses are back in.

  • PrunellaV

She is gorgeous but I’m so tired of the nude lip.

  • librarygrrl64

LOVE these shoes every time I see them (and in every color), but I don’t like the proportions of the dress and hair on her. She looks bobble-headed, like a Bratz doll.

  • alyce1213

I want that dress. Perfect, sunny spring/summer look.

  • I absolutely detest the cut of the bodice. The weird harness front. Hideous. The arabesque pattern though, is beautiful.

    • ankali

That neckline makes anyone who wears it look as though they’re hunching their shoulders even when standing straight.

  • MandyM

I love her dress and the shoes are nice but it’s time to put down the frost blue eye make up and walk away.

  • ccm800

man they really PAINTED away the dark circles on her.

    • conniemd

They airbrushed away her gorgeous sharp cheekbones, too. GRRR

  • LaSylphide

Love the dress, and love the shoes, but not in black with that dress.

  • CUTE! Fresh! Pretty! And I like the blue eye makeup.

  • That stress is super cute, but jesus is that blue eye shadow tragic.

  • Anniebet

Pretty dress, but too tight up top. Someone needs to tell celebs that those shoes are past their expiration date. We’ve probably seen that exact same shoe at least a dozen times on these pages alone.

  • Coco Cornejo

I wonder if Nina threatened to make her wear Daniel’s Peep jacket with that dress. The yellow looks awfully familiar.

  • Cute dress, but it’s too tight. And I think she should have kept the (or *a*) belt. And the shoes seem wrong to me. I want to like the makeup, but I think the turquoise liner is a bit TOO obvious.

Also, now there are “events” to celebrate a magazine cover? WTF, people?

  • isn’t a little teensy weensy bit weird to go to a party to celebrate big pictures of your airbrushed face on a magazine? and then to stand in front of said picture, preening for more cameras? i feel like i’ve fallen down the rabbithole of P.R.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

The dress is too tight on top and those are the wrong shoes. Otherwise she looks fresh and cute.

  • maggiemaybe

I think she looks pretty flawless. And against my better judgement, I’m kinda loving that blue eyeshadow.

  • Julaine Morley

True, the sandals have been omnipresent of late, but as a “look,” they’re an improvement over what the model is wearing, that make her appear to be under house arrest.

  • kathrineb

The dress is really cute. No one can deny this!

  • willworktomorrow

There are events to celebrate magazine covers? Really? Who attends beyond the magazine staff and the cover model? I somehow can’t get my head around this.

  • Her makeup REALLY needed that pop of colour.

Otherwise, this is cute. PS: this “Lance” is really getting around, isn’t he?
