Matt Bomer’s Irritating Perfection

Posted on April 03, 2013

Darlings, in order to elevate your day, we offer Matt Bomer, spewing his Bomerness in all directions:

Matt Bomer attends the ‘Meditation In Education’ Global Outreach Campaign in Los Angeles, California.

Should’ve cuffed the jeans, Matt, but otherwise, you’re perfect as always.

Bitch.

Can there be any better summation of the vapidness and weirdness of celebrity life than a “Meditation Global Outreach Campaign” with a step-and-repeat? We ask you. “CHANGE BEGINS WITHIN” as a logo. Honestly, now.

It’s not irritating. Not irritating at all…

    • Sobaika

Irritating in the sense that my heart palpitates just looking at him.

  • lovelyivy

    Glorious perfection. Le sigh.

  • http://www.twitter.com/anneofnogables AnneNotHathaway

His hair is too tall, guys. That probably means he’s compensating for something–and since we all know he’s visibly perfect otherwise, there can be only one explanation. Don’t feel badly about yourselves, guys. ;)

    • H2olovngrl

As long as we are picking apart his perfection…that is a pretty dorky little half smile he is sporting there, too. See? Doesn’t tearing apart someone we are all insanely jealous of make us all feel better? Seriously though, he is so darn adorable I just want to carry him around in one of the trendy little dog carriers!

    • StellaZafella

      Was Elvis’s hair too tall?
I think not. The only thing it means to me is there’s more to run one’s fingers through.

      • not_Bridget

They’re shooting series 3 of Sherlock right now. Louse Brealey (Molly) recently Tweeted “Benedict let me fiddle with his damp hair as a birthday treat. Apparently you have to ‘twist and diffuse’. Gulp.

Matt? No problem at all that I can see…

    • http://twitter.com/RomanceReader27 Ronni Grove

Thank you! I totally agree – his hair looks like a bad shadow. It’s making my eyes hurt. Which just forces my eyes to other parts of his awesomeness, so it’s all good.

    • http://twitter.com/DALESULLIVAN DALE SULLIVAN

Obviously you dint see “Magic Matt..er, Mike” lol

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

And this, manstars, is how you rock a scruffy look.

  • acevedob

Lmao…you guys are awesome. “Bitch.” True dat. (But that’s why we love him!)

  • http://twitter.com/maggie162 Maggie

On the other hand, Bomer’s fashion blogging leaves much to be desired…

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=603005248 Jeff Warhurst

Different strokes… I think he looks very girly, all the time. Not my type at all.

    • H2olovngrl

I think Mr. Bomer here is very cute, but I have a bit more fondness for his handsome costar, Tim DeKay. Very manly, and not quite such a dandy.

      • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

I totally agree. Matty’s gorgeous, but he’s like one of those artworks Neal is always stealing. Tim OTOH looks like someone you could have fun with while getting dirty.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=603005248 Jeff Warhurst

And cuffed jeans are so lame. NEVER DO IT.

    • http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/ Tom and Lorenzo

Don’t listen to him, boys. He clearly has no idea what he’s talking about.

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Cuffed jeans, as long as the denim is nice and dark, look great on boys!

    • lrober03

Cuffed jeans are lame if you’re cuffing them to prevent the frayed ends from dragging on the floor.
      Nice jeans = nice cuffs

    • Deac82

cuffed jeans can work, as long as one has long legs like Matt here. I, however, am 5’10 with a 30″ inseam…so no cuffing of the jeans for me.

    • Frank Lithium

Blasphemy. Having your pants pooling around your ankle is never cool.

  • Pants_are_a_must

Ugh this Ken Doll. I want to be so mean to him, but he really does have his sh*t together, doesn’t he.

YOUR CONCEALER IS TOO LIGHT AGAIN, BOMER. There, now I feel a little better.

    • H2olovngrl

Picking apart the perfection, one tiny step at a time!

    • DaringMiss

I think he looks like he had been wearing sunglasses at the beach (or ski goggles on the slopes). I could be wrong though.

      • Pants_are_a_must

That’s how he always looks like, though. He’s not constantly skiing or vacationing.

  • MarissaLG

He look good, no doubt about that, but this doesn’t impress me really. It’s not an outfit, it’s just some nice items put together (without much though, it seems) and he’s a handsome guy and the pieces are nice looking and that’s it. I mean, maybe that’s all it takes for a handsome guy to look perfect.

    • kirkyo

Best part about it for me is that it just looked like he grabbed a few items from his closet and *oops* just ended up perfect.

  • zenobar

    …David Lynch has a foundation?

    • formerlyAnon

Anybody with even a modestly large income and a tax accountant has some kind of a foundation.

  • Michael_Jones

That’s some mighty big hair, isn’t it? (I’m not objecting overall, but wow…)

    • Ms. Schmidt

Yeah, I’m not a fan of the tall hair.

  • thecitysleeps

He’s always perfect. I love him.

  • gsk241

He doesn’t ring my bell, but he is cute. Too bad he didn’t have time to shave before he left the house, though.

  • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

He’s so oatmeal to me. Occasionally, he pings my radar, but mostly I find him to be too pretty and/or too wholesome.

    • http://twitter.com/DALESULLIVAN DALE SULLIVAN

      More for us!

  • Anna Vasquez

He’s welcome to spew his Bomerness all over me any time.

  • Janet B

    He is a gorgeous man.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/37TPKASIMXVUPYK5BNQFOL43KU Carina

Like a fresh summer breeze, Matt Bomer calms the nerves and soothes the soul.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

    He’s just… lovely. That’s all I have to say.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

The shit Hollywood comes up with. Basically, its Monday, so we are going to have a red carpet for Mondays now.

Bomer doesn’t quite do it for me. Also, your hair is a little high, sir.

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Victor-Beiramar-Diniz/100000152390012 Victor Beiramar Diniz

why is it that every time i see his name in your posts i always misread the ‘m’ in his surname and take it for ‘nn’…?

  • gabbilevy

    mmmm pretty.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=677547537 John Hodgins

    Should probably be step-om-and-repeat.

  • Le_Sigh

Oh man. He renders me completely stupid he does. Also, I want those shoes in my lady-size!

Maybe that’s why they put him on the red carpet? So everyone is so distracted by the gorgeous that they don’t notice the idiotic sloganing. I had to really really focus to find it and think about it after you mentioned it TLo!

  • Eva_baby

Irritating Perfection? Nay. I say. NAY! More like Invigorating! Intriguing! Impeccable! Incredible! or you know, just Hawt!

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

He does nothing for me. He looks fine, but his hair is way too poufy, he needs a shave and he needs to do something about his eyebrows. They’re a little too caterpillar-y.

  • BuffaloBarbara

This makes me want more White Collar right now. Perfect-looking Matt in vintage suits (and frequently out of vintage suits). That it’s a pretty entertaining show that left us on a cliffhanger helps, too.

But yes, the step-and-repeat on a meditation event is… a meditation on absurdity.

    • H2olovngrl

The house on Riverside in that show, gives me major real estate envy.

  • korilian

He even remembered to keep his hands out of his pockets!!!

  • vspirit

The guy has so much hair on his head it has nowhere to go but up.

…oh and to cull the ambiguity, that /was/ meant as a compliment.

  • Tom Shea

He seems to be tilting his chin a bit, maybe that’s why his hair is high. Jesus, he is a pretty man.

  • YoungSally

How long until TLo finds a shot of Gwynnie at this event…seems tailor-made for her.

  • lobsterlen

The David Lynch Foundation? Director of Twin Peaks David Lynch? Well that just makes all the weirdness all the more perfect of the “Mediation Global Outreach Campaign.” Did Laura Palmer “changed from within” before she was killed?

  • MilaXX

Hair looks a little high, but I still love him.

  • anotherkate

God, he is just so delicious. I would probably think he was too pretty along with a lot of others if I hadn’t actually watched WHITE COLLAR. He’s just such a charming scamp in that show that I can’t resist him.

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

Neal really is the most adorably charming creature.

  • ralish

The hair has officially gotten him kicked off my “swoon” list. I know he’s disappointed.

  • Beth513

He’s pretty, but he just seems like he tole Rob Lowe’s face, and basically I’m just not that into him. He does look nice in close though. Love the jacket.

  • Judy_S

With you on the ridiculousness of celebrity viewing as meditation. Also on Matt.

  • formerlyAnon

That is one nicely dressed, conventionally handsome man with slightly too-high hair. Y’all can have my share, I can appreciate what he’s got but it doesn’t push my buttons.

  • http://twitter.com/urban_gypsy Tess Danesi

I don’t know why but he does exactly nothing for me. Now give me a piece of Idris Elba and we can talk. :-)

  • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

Don’t like the hair. Why so high? Not fond of the stubble either. The jeans look bad as they rumple around his shoes. Sorry, Matt. And I even sorta like the guy.

  • NoGovernmentName

David Lynch? Is it THAT David Lynch? If so, people will be meditating about some weird shit. As beautiful as Matt Bomer is, he kind of has crazy eyes in this picture.

  • http://www.facebook.com/vitantonio.dambrosio Vitantonio Bino D’Ambrosio

Although, he’s giving us a bit of Herman Munster realness!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1551681662 Lauren Summers

    I can’t with the hair.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000905542323 Rhonda Shore

It’s the Change Begins Within thing paired with David Lynch that makes it totally bizarre. Or is Lynch new age now? Well, at least we still have Tarantino…

    • Jacqueline Wessel

Yes, I just read an article on AlterNet about Transcendental Meditation. David Lynch became a million dollar donor and is carrying the movement on now that the maharishi has passed on to another plane. The article also points out how much money the organization made teaching people how to do something that takes a few minutes to learn.

I plan to meditate on Matt Bomer’s eyes for awhile…ohm.

  • RedRaven617

    :::sigh::: ;-)

  • EEKstl

He’s Perfection Incarnate, as always. As for the event, bizarrer still is that this is a product of the David Lynch Foundation. That actually makes me smile.

  • phrenk

He doesn’t do a thing for me, but I like his outfit, especially the jeans.

  • l_c_ann

He’s pretty enough, but that (?) smile is just one big blank look.

  • http://twitter.com/lisledanielle Danielle Lisle

Chicken soup for the soul, that one.

  • PeggyOC

Almost perfect. The hair is too high for a guy with his length of face. He’s veering a little towards Lyle Lovett-land here.

    • RebeccaKW

My first thought was ‘oh, that hair is awfully high.’

    • BuffaloBarbara

Yeah, I liked it better when the extra volume was a little freer, rather than piled high with product.

  • DaveUWSNYC

Did you say something about a spewing boner…?

  • conniemd

Wow, can’t believe there are women who don’t love Matt Bomer. He is this generation’s Cary Grant. Charming, suave and sophisticated and part bad boy.

  • librarygrrl64

Yikes, that is some high hair.

  • PrunellaV

    The hair’s a little high.

  • Kristy Evans

He really is a living Ken doll, isn’t he?

  • Zippypie

That hair is going into “Eraserhead” land. But that face and bod….he has no right to be that perfect, dammit.

  • Claire Scott

Disagree, I like the slouchy jeans. Cuffed would have been too prim for the casual blazer I think. He looks fab!!

  • http://twitter.com/DALESULLIVAN DALE SULLIVAN

That child can do anything he pleases, cuffs are fine…or he can just take them off…

  • http://twitter.com/DALESULLIVAN DALE SULLIVAN

Real Texans “stack” their jeans like that; ask George Strait!

  • http://twitter.com/themissingmink Mink Carlyle

He most definitely should NOT have “cuffed” the jeans. *ahem*

  • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

    He’s a beauty.

  • Renaissance_Man_ATL

The jacket cuffs are too long and the shirt cuffs are too short. The hair’s too high too. Nice, but not perfect.
