  • She sure has the bod for that dress. But she really could used some more interesting accessories, (as in ANY).

    • Agreed! It’s in desperate need of accessories but DAMN she looks hot in that dress

    • she had a great body. maybe some color on her face, at least, some lipstick would have been good.

      • She could have easily rocked a pair of serious statement earrings.

      • Yeah, I think lipstick would have made this a knockout. Or maybe some more interesting shoes, come to think of it.

    • Little_Olive

And makeup. Keri, you are so pretty. Please don’t fall into the JLo makeup palette.

      • CT14

        Lipstick in a color!

  • Hetha Innis

    Yawn city.

  • gabbilevy

    Is it green or black?

Case of letting the dress do the heavy lifting. Goodness. Not complaining.

    • Sarah

‘S green. Pretty green! But a little bit dark for spring, if you ask me.

  • She looks like she thinks she looks like Cathy Cambridge and is trying to emphasise it. I preferred her with curls and I think the makeup is a bit harsh but the dress is great and she wears it well.

  • MarissaLG

It definitely could have used a cocktail ring or interesting clutch, but I like this a lot.

  • I like it. As aside, I’d love to hear what you two think of The Americans. It’s pretty great and I like the show’s low-key approach to the fashion of the early 80s.

    • Musicologie

The son’s coat–so ugly, but COMPLETELY what kids wore back then! This show might not bear the same scrutiny that Mad Men does, but I wouldn’t mind a TLo write-up or six.

      • drdarke

So would I – THE AMERICANS is definitely worth a TLo writeup.

    • JasmineAM

I have nothing to add besides I LOVE THE AMERICANS.

  • She looks great… though I wish she’d opted for shoes with bit more interest.

  • Sobaika

She looks fierce. I would have preferred a more kickass shoe, but even so she looks great.

    • mshesterp

That, and some lipstick. But she is working it. I would’ve thought TLo would’ve put this up for their commentary. Go, Felicity, go!

  • schadenfreudelicious

perhaps a more interesting shoe and earrings, but she looks fantastic.

  • StellaZafella

If you’re gonna wear only one thing, make it leather, make it killer English Forest Green and make it fit like a freakin’ glove.

    • drdarke

In FX Soviet Russia, Keri Russell kill YOU!

Seriously, she and Helen Mirren need to do a movie where they play totally awesome hitwomen. That outfit could be her work uniform….

  • Damn who knew she had it in her. Perfection.

  • Mazenderan

I think it needs a little colour on the lips, and some accessories. It looks a little harsh.

    • Musicologie

It looks so much like her character on The Americans (who is VERY harsh and wouldn’t go for such capitalist extravagances as ostentatious jewelry). She doesn’t have to be in character all the time, though, and I would have liked her to strike a middle ground–show some of the toughness of her character while still making herself softer.

  • wow, i love this.
more interestig (but not overwhelming) shoes, and this would have been a WERQ.

  • Melanie

Man, I love her, and she looks hot in that dress. I love the color. I do so wish, though, that she’d let her curly head come out to play every once in a while (I have the same wish for Juliana Marguilies).

    • As a fellow curly-haired gal (my nickname in college was Felicity) I have watched my former pretty ringlets loose their bounce and fullness and get downright stringy as I have hit my 30s, and even moreso since having my daughter. I am sure it is the same for Ms Russell, Kidman and the like. If I had a team of stylists, I would straighten it too.

  • She looks Comic-Con good!

  • Fits her beautifully and it goes with her harder “Americans” persona. But am I the only one who see her a bit TOO skinny, both here and in the show?

    • Musicologie

I agree. I figured that her makeup on the show was intentionally making her face more angular and unhealthily skinny, indicating the hunger her character would have faced as a child and her adult refusal to fully indulge in American excess. But I was hoping that was a makeup effect and that Russel would look healthier when appearing as herself.

  • formerlyAnon

This is a perfect statement of “I can totally pull off an unadorned leather dress which fits like a glove,” but I can’t get excited about it.

No doubt because I am unreasonably prejudiced against leather clothing (except jackets) and because I can feel the gut-kick over a woman’s style or manner or brain but am too hetero to ever feel more than a detached, intellectual appreciation of a woman’s body.

  • IMNAngryLiberal

A bowling event? In a skintight leather dress and Jimmy Choos? Huh?

  • butterflysunita

Love the leather dress and she looks great in it. Hair and makeup are looking a little tired, though, and not matching the stylishness of the dress.

  • PastryGoddess

  • disqus_sZRDWtvvVD

Yes, great dress for her. I would’ve loved a pair of POW!!! shoes. Something a little more kinky.

  • Rand Ortega

The latest dilemma for stylists: How much bling & leather do you put on your client for a “Bowling event”?

  • MilaXX

Love this leather dress on her. Also really loving The Americans

  • What? This old thing?

Stone cold perfection. The hair, the make-up, the shoes. The attitude.

  • crash1212

  • She’s a bit like Rose Byrne to me: far too grim for how good she looks.

  • barbarienne

If you’ve got the body for a tight fitted leather dress, I say go for it. She looks great. Maybe she needs a little more color to soften her face.

  • Leather dress & no uniboob — it CAN be done, see?

  • Great dress. However her shoes look like a torture device (though thats my viewpoint on current shoe trends)

  • A more interesting shoe or some sort of accessory up to would have made this look really stand out because she is working the hell out of that leather dress.

  • HeatherMcIlrath

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Agreed on the makeup and jewelry. But God All Mighty, is she rocking that dress!

  • nannypoo

This dress is so severe that I think the lack of accessories is exactly what it calls for. Fabulous.

  • marilyn

Very classic. She looks great! From the way she is dressed, I assume she is not going to be bowling.

  • Jacqueline Wessel

I think this might be the first time I’ve seen someone looking so great in a leather dress.

  • Janet B

This is quite a severe look for her, although it goes well with her tv persona.
I’d prefer some more lipstick color or jewelry or hair styling

  • joancarol

    This is my alter ego.
In reality I am a chubby middle aged woman, but this is what I see when I watch myself walk into a room.

  • Kristy Evans

Man I wish she had worn some more interesting shoes. I realize that the dress is a statement piece in itself (so I stand behind no jewelry) but some better shoes would have made this a WERQ.

  • I have a sudden urge to go out and buy a dark green leather dress. Keri looks HOT. My only quibble is that her lipstick could have been a tiny bit bolder.

  • tereliz

Beautifully fitted dress and killer shoes! Almost distracts me from her serious lack of makeup and jewelry…

  • lobsterlen

Kerri is rocking the femme fatale spy look. I am not sure she needs anything else.

    • drdarke

A razor-edged clutch with a Walther PPK inside – that’s the only accessory she needs.

  • pookiesmom

She looks great, and she’s so fantastic in The Americans that in my eyes, she can do no wrong. That show is so deliciously good.

  • urbanamish

best leather dress i ‘ve ever seen.

  • hac51

I can respect that she’s trying to leave Felicity and that whole persona behind, but she just looks so hard and grim. Great dress though.

  • elemspbee

kix ass. she’s hot! and so is that show!

  • PeaceBang

    I think she looks wan.

    • martha

and her legs look like matchsticks!

    • I have seen her in person. She’s genuinely *very* tiny. Childlike tiny.

  • mhleta

This is pretty good, (there’s really no greater accessory than a gorgeous body) but a stronger lip and a banging piece of jewelry would have kicked this into the stratosphere.

  • raininmai

IMHO, she looks so severe because she’s starving. I know we’re here to talk about the clothes, not the bodies. But it’s hard for me to ignore.

  • demidaemon

I like this dress, but i feel like it has been played out. Leather just isn’t enough anymore. It needs some mixture of textures or accessories or SOMETHING. As it is, cute, but YAWN.

  • StephanieLovesTLo

    WERQ it!

  • thelovelydove

All she needs is some great lipstick (a plum color, maybe?) and some gold statement earrings.

  • She looks great, also The Americans is one of the best TV shows I’ve seen in a long time. Definitely the best spy show I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t rely on gadgets and car crashes at all, the show is completely carried by the great acting and storytelling.

  • Crystal

    She looks great!

  • lalahartma

Probably the best leather dress wearing I’ve seen!

  • warnerave

    she looks awesome!

  • Imasewsure

Wow I don’t like this dress on her at all. it’s a great dress but I guess I prefer a curvier shape in that kind of dress although then you risk the “too tight, too hoochy” problem. Hair style looks pretty on her

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

OMG I have been addicted to her show “the Americans.” She is brilliant. She looks like a Russian spy in this photo and like she would snap your neck if you made ANY styling suggestions. LOVE.

  • fantastic … but does anyone else think she’s starting to look like Maria Shriver’s younger sister? all pointy-chinned & square jawed?

    • amaranth16

Oh my goodness, that’s exactly right.
