    Oh God.

  • To quote Michael Kors, “Slutty, slutty, slutty!”

  • I think Heidi deserves the “of course” now.

    • R.A.

Took the words out of my mouth!

    • Verascity

I honestly scrolled down JUST to see if anyone had said this.

    • That, and ‘the belt needs to go’. Maybe another one? This one doesn’t go well together with the dress.

  • Anathema_Device

That thing is seizure inducing. As is the dress. (I kid. The Kluminator amuses me to no end.)

  • imperfectlaura

There are so many things that could bug me about this look, and for some reason it’s the dolman sleeve.

    • Celandine1

      The ONE dolman sleeve!

      • Jacqueline Wessel

        Yeah, that is strange.

  • Disco disco!

  • alyce1213

That’s what she wears for a morning tv show? Not only too short, partially too tight, and shiny, but totally inappropriate.
She really has awful taste and judgment.

    • Little_Olive

Really. We could have been assessing the dress for an evening event, hovering around whether it’s short but not so revealing on the top. This is just WRONG.

I hate it when people, in all situations, are not dressed according to the venue/temperature/season/hour of the day/nature of the event.

    • Sunraya

I want to see her try to sit down in this!

      • Little_Olive

Oh, she doesn’t need to try, she’ll go ahead and do it as if she was in Oshkosh overalls.

  • let me just say that i thought it said that she was in Talbot’s and i got really confused. but yeah apparently heidi klum has legs, who knew

  • Trisha26

Shiny, short & tight – that’s our Heidi! At least her makeup looks fresh and youthful for a change.

  • leilah

So … does she just have her assistant call up the designer and say, “you know that Spring-speckled gown from your Fall ’12 collection? Heide would like the top half of it without the floral collar …. “?

  • To second quotes, but from Most Popular Girls in School:

“You look like a tampon that was dipped in Skittles and vomit.”

  • dorothea_brooke

So she took something interesting and made it boring. Brava!

  • schadenfreudelicious

did she just hack the bottom off in the cab on the way over??

  • rainwood1

Nothing screams good morning like short and shiny!!

  • why?!

  • Celandine1

Has anyone seen her Carl’s Jr commercial? It’s so cringe inducing. I change the channel when it is on. The first time I saw it I actually said out loud to the TV “Oh Heidi NO!”

    • MilaXX

ALL the Carl’s Jr commercials are gross to me. Who eats that stuff?

      • H2olovngrl

Whoever their decision makers are regarding their ad campaigns should be fired. They are all terrible. I can feel my intelligence being sucked away every time I see some idiot revoltingly eating a sloppy, dripping burger in one of their commercials.

    • H2olovngrl

I scrolled down to see if someone brought this up. That Mrs. Robinson/The Graduate commercial is awful! Remember the Mad Men episode where they used an Ann Margaret look alike for a Patio Cola ad? And they couldn’t figure out why it didn’t work? Then Roger says, “Because it’s not Ann Margaret”. That is how this commercial feels to me. That is not Dustin Hoffman, and you, madame, are NO Anne Bancroft!

  • newtonGOTbeaned

Poor dress. She did that to Emilio’s pretty dress, too. She should have felt bad for ruining the guy’s moment.

  • She’s moved from “short, shiny, and tight” to “short, shiny, and tight…pick two.” That’s progress, right? I actually think she looks good here, and I’m not usually a fan of her aesthetic.

  • MilaXX

Considering it’s Heidi, this isn’t that bad.

    • MissAmynae

helps that her face and hair look fantastic here. I actually don’t hate it- she actually picked legs or boobs this time.

      • Little_Olive

I thought that. Until I remembered it is for a morning show.

  • ersmom

To quote Meatloaf : Two out of three ain’t bad.

    Short and shiny…

  • WOW. 1982 called and wants their…no they don’t. Who am I kidding.
Can we still call that a Talbot Runhof dress?
and….I have to share my email address to comment on your blog now?? boo

  • stacey avelar

Silver lining: at least the dress was already megafugly before she changed it up, not like she ruined a masterpiece.

    • makeityourself

Another plus — she’s wearing a bra. I’m sure The Today Show made their wishes clear on that.

On one hand, hair and makeup are great. On the other hand, who does a bright red mani/pedi with a pastel dress?

  • Wendi126

At least it’s just legs and not legs and tits or just tits. Tits…sounds like a snack..

  • BrooklynBomber

What a pretty girl. Who is she?

    • H2olovngrl

Oh sarcasm, how we have missed you.

  • capybara_cafe

You know, she always tells contestants off for making stuff this short. Too bad she never takes her own advice. Given who we’re looking at here though, it’s a lot better than what she normally brings out.

  • Honestly, my only real objection are the sleeves.
It’s longer than SHE usually wears, her tits are housed and I love a good sparkle.

  • Lilly

    Why, honey… just WHY

  • rkdgal

Heidi’s mental checklist: 1. Tight? Check. 2. Shiny? Double Check. 3. Short? Shit! (grabs scissors and hacks off bottom) Check!

    • drdarke

She cut the bottom of that dress herself, didn’t she?

I could swear I still see the threads hanging off the bottom….

  • E. D.

    Wow, she’s unusually covered up.

    scrolls down

    Never mind.

The camera guys must hate that walking seizure of an outfit.

  • Jackie4g

I don’t understand what it is she’s trying to prove? She’s a strikingly beautiful woman, she’s made a financial success, she’s a good Mommy, she’s been sucessful in a ton of endeavors, it goes without saying lots of fellows are interested, why has she got to look so damn desperate?

    • alyce1213

      No taste. Plain and simple.

    • Whever

Maybe it’s not about anyone’s response? Maybe she just likes dressing that way. If so, more power to her.

  • nannypoo

There is nothing good about this ugly dress. Her face looks pretty.

  • duchessofjersey

Remember Jem and the Holograms? I think this is what the Holograms wore.

To tell the truth, in any other material I would hate everything about this, but I am mesmerized by her Daytime Sequins. They’re so tacky, yet so pretty! I kind of … like it?

    • drdarke

Is it me, or does it appear that Heidi’s torso is in mid-beam-up…?

  • Winter_White

Hee…the original dress on the runway vs. Heidi’s version. Makes me think of the experience of being unsure when you’re looking at a big bolt of fabric in a store — so the staff cuts you a wee teeny tiny li’l swatch of it to take home.

  • Jessi03

Is it wrong that I get a sick pleasure out of watching how she modifies (Klumifies?) clothes?

  • Sara__B

Isn’t the Today Show done in the very early morning? Nothing says early morning to me like short, (half) tight, and shiny.

  • Kathy_Marlow

I saw the sequins (was excited, because, sequins) then scrolled down to the legs showing, all I can say is “of course” to that. other than that she looks good.

  • snarkykitten

Did she consult Anya for the “revisions”?

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

SHORT AND SHINY. What else is new?

  • Well, at least her boobs are covered.
Seriously though, she looks like the trashy girl at the club that drinks too much and tries to start a fight.

    • MoHub

Yes. And it looks as if she’s actually wearing a proper bra as well.

  • j_anson

The bottom hem looks kind of ragged, which I suspect is just because of the sequins on the edge, but which I prefer to think is because she actually cut the skirt off with scissors.

  • conniemd

Did she have to sit down while on Today Show?

  • I like it better than the runway version but nonetheless: Of course.

  • BuffaloBarbara

    Small correction:

Heidi Klum makes an appearance on ‘The Today Show’ in New York City in a Talbot Runhof dress
    ought to read
Heidi Klum makes an appearance on ‘The Today Show’ in New York City in part of a Talbot Runhof dress

    There. All good.

    • Funkykatt

    • embers618

I was thinking the same thing – it’s like she sees a designer use a fabric that she likes, and then uses it for this dress.
Heidi Klum in a dress made from fabric that Talbot Runhof also used.

    • Or Heidi Klum makes an appearance on the ‘The Today Show’ in New York City in a napkin with a Runhof design on it….just sayin…

  • Zippypie

From the neck up, she looks great. I prefer not to acknowledge from the neck down except to say OF COURSE.

    • PastryGoddess

      you beat me to it

  • Pennymac

    Puh-lease. She’s a friggin cartoon character.

  • PastryGoddess

    That’s it

  • Definitely not venue appropriate but I don’t even care because this is so tacktastically amazing. I love it and I will not apologize!

  • In_Stitches

Why is one sleeve fitted and the other a baggy batwing? That’s one weird ass design element…

  • zelavie

Oh, man, the magpie in me LOVES this! I’m a sucker for anything with a holographic type effect. I’d never wear this myself, but I’m all about the Kluminator in in. Totally fun.

  • ralish

Oh wow, she turned a dress into a shirt!

  • kmk05

Everything (except the dress) is gorgeous. The dress is ‘short, tight, and shiny’ on crack.

  • Stubenville

I hope she had on some lovely panties, because it’s fairly certain the good china was visible when Heidi sat down..

  • And how exactly is one supposed to sit on camera in this? Oh wait, it’s Klum. Carry on.

  • Donna Tabor

    Short? Check.

    Shiny? Check.

    Tight? Check.

  • filmcricket

I have to say I kind of love it. It’s so disco fabulous. So, so wrong for the ‘venue’ though. A) morning show, not “E! at Studio 54.” B) Not for sitting. C) Oh my god, those sequins would interact poorly with TV cameras.

  • flamingoNW

  • Make-up looks good. Anyone know how she managed the sitting-down part?

  • I wonder why Heidi has to keep proving her sex appeal. Is she still in love with Seal? Is she reminding him about what he doesn’t have? I’m just guessing about that. Her dresses get shorter and shorter. I’d like to see Heidi put class and fashion ahead of sex appeal.

  • sherrietee

It looks like she’s a walking color blind test.

    • Coco Cornejo

  • Coco Cornejo

Other than the fabric, how is the dress Heidi wearing the same as the runway look? Besides being way shorter the sleeves are completely different.

    • Jackie4g

Look again, the sleeves of the original are also uneven, but the model’s strut is pretty much obscuring that.

  • Anniebet

I dunno, she’s pretty damn gorgeous, but as others have said… of course. We know you have spectacular legs, dear. Now lets see some class to go with them.

  • Mlzx

    Is she serious?

  • I was running errands in the area and saw her today! This was actually for the taping of America’s Got Talent.

    • MoHub

      Oh, the sarcasm!

  • DeTrop

I think she looks great. Her smile alone is fantastic. She looks so alive and happy. Those legs are killer.

  • demidaemon

Leave it to Heidi to give a perfectly fine (well, not really, but stay with me here) dress the slut cut.

  • Just… WOW. OF COURSE she hacked the whole bottom of the dress off. But that dress… those sequins… I just can’t.

  • korilian

God. The worst is that she chose to cut it at that length.

  • formerlyAnon

That slightly uncultured, wacky streak that comes out in her sometimes (I’m told it’s more evident in the t.v. she does in Europe) is going to gradually take over her fashion sense as she marches into middle age, isn’t it? It’ll be like watching a baseball game. I’ll bring beer and something to read in the slow innings if you’ll buy the hot dogs.

    • H2olovngrl

Especially as she frantically tries to keep up with a younger generation of beautiful women. If Seal ends up, as so many musicians do, with a hot (much) younger new wife, just wait. All hell will break loose.

      • formerlyAnon

I hadn’t thought of that, but you might be right. I hope not. I make fun of her, but deep down I wish her well. She’s strikes me as a type A, sometimes coldly critical, Martha Stewart-level control freak, but with a silly affectionate streak that sometimes breaks through and mostly redeems her.

        • H2olovngrl

She definitely seems to be a fiercely devoted mother, for which I have a lot of respect

  • silaria

When I was about four years old, I fell in love with a roll of wrapping paper that looked JUST LIKE THAT, and somehow convinced my parents to buy it for me. I adored it, and scavenged through my toys looking for things I didn’t want so I could give them to my parents as brightly-wrapped presents.

I haven’t thought of that story in years. Thanks, Heidi!

  • oldbobbydraper

those photos literally hurt my eyes.

  • LEGS, yes I have good ones. And of course, of course.

  • I absolutely adore holographic sequins and will not hear a word against them. I also think this would have been perfect if it were 2″ longer.

  • At this point, the dresses shorten themselves as soon as she puts them on. It’s the magic of the Kluminator.

    • MoHub

And they shrink in fit as well.

  • MoHub

First of all, it’s not the same dress; it’s just the same fabric.

    And: short—check; tight—check; shiny—check; desperate—double check.

  • plinkiedoodle

@ Kira: yes, I agree. Of course!

  • Beverly Kozma

I see she’s cut off the collar too. Good move. But this one straight, one dolman sleeve thing needs never to be repeated.

  • carnush

    Of course.

  • Sunraya

How embarrassing for the host of a design show to dress as she does. Nina must get tired of rolling her eyes,

  • I was thinking “wow. Heidi did a good job! This is really pretty and
unexpected, and looks great on her!” Then I scrolled down and saw what
she did to that hem. Oh Heidi, you are yourself, aren’t you?

  • I love the fun print and I don’t mind the shortening, but way too short.

  • It’s less hideous in the mini version and without the collar, and she also styled it nicely, but it’s still a revolting dress.

  • disqus_sZRDWtvvVD

Genetic freak, lol. I usually don’t like what she wears, but she is so beautiful. Even in skimpy clothes, she looks so comfortable. Years of being an underwear model?

  • crash1212

Well, she’s mostly covered, so there’s that. I’ll bet there’s no back to that frock…that’s the Heidi twist. She looks pretty although I hope she didn’t have to perch on a stool in that thing.

  • Irridescent sequins (sequinced!) in daytime is a huge NO, unless you’re in New Orleans and it’s Mardi Gras Day.

  • Jenna Olson

Well it’s short, shiny, and half tight? ….

  • I saw the shot of Heidi framed from the waist up on another site first. My thought was “what a crazy, shirt! I want it.”
I truly expected to see a scroll down of her in tight jeans and heels. Why did I ever think that? Has TLo taught me nothing?!

  • Tamara Hogan

  • Sunraya

Is her ex-bodyguard still her bodyguard, or just her boyfriend now?

  • That just hurts my eyes, in so many ways. Too sparkly for the Today show, stupid sleeve treatment, too short. Blech. Heidi looks pretty though from the neck up.

  • TAGinMO

    Ohfergawdsakes. A sequined mini-Slanket?

  • Amy909

She is beautiful no doubt… but this outfit reminds me of how my friends and I dressed in college when we went clubbing in the early aughts. The belt, the length of the dress, and that baggy armpit sleeve (except both of the sleeves were the same). Yes, she can pull off that length of skirt, but should she? I am in my late twenties and feel uncomfortable wearing outfits like that now! More power to her I guess!

  • PhillipWilde

    Mylar balloon.

  • Absurd for a morning show. She’s dressed in Annie Allnighter’s gear.

  • ThaliaMenninger

Oh, Heidi. The world doesn’t HAVE to be your gynecologist.

  • Once again, we know you have the body…there’s no need to show it off like this every single time! For someone who’s fond of saying “I question his/her taste level”, girl…

  • mhleta

She looks really good. Healthy, happy and incredibly fit. She’s following that unwritten rule, If you’re going to go short on the bottom, show some restraint on the top, which I give points for. As far as appropriateness for the time of day and venue, mmmm, not so much. This says Miami Beach Night Club at 2AM, not NYC chat show at 7AM. But that’s Heidi.

  • maggiemaybe

That first shot of her in the tiny version followed by the runway version is hilarious.

  • l_c_ann

If she wore it upside down, it would be less hoochi mamma.

  • MarissaLG

I didn’t know they taped the Today Show at midnight on New Years Eve…

  • Doesn’t get much shorter or shinier than that.

  • Her looks are a gift from God, but…..really?

  • eight_of_nine

Oh my god, the second-to-last picture. She is all “HERE I AM, BITCHES!” and Mr. Bodyguard back there is not impressed.

  • At least she’s keeping the cray cray consistent.

  • Peeve

Isn’t this a little, um, MUCH for the Today Show????

  • MzzPants

She..has…a…BRA ON!! There is a God.

  • If she was going to cut the hem so low, why did she wear that belt? It puts the whole dress of center, and makes the proportions way off. There’s too much to forgive, considering also the amorphous armpit.

  • librarygrrl64

    Of course.

  • When I saw this headline, I said to myself, she’s going to have either her boobs or her legs out.

    So said, so done.

    Of course.

  • I wonder if there are designers who turn her down if she requests a dress knowing she’ll want to talk modifications that go beyond their comfort zone. “Hide the scissors!” 🙂

  • I move that “Kluminate” be added to our vocabulary, verb, and the definition shall be “to render a dress or outfit in such a style as would be appealing to Heidi Klum, aka the Kluminator”
