Kiss of the Pregnant Spider Woman?

      • Qitkat

        You win :-)

      • PeaceBang

There is no other explanation or description. Thank you.

    • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

That is one spectacularly ugly dress. If Halle can’t make a dress sing, ain’t nobody can.

      • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

I don’t think it’s a particularly flattering dress for a lady star who is enceinte, but even if she weren’t I agree: I really do not like shape of the solid part of the top.

    • http://profiles.google.com/adj.blair Adriana Blair

How did she go from looking like she ate a big lunch to BAM pregnant?

      • Julie

Just wait for the Beyonce-esque faux preganancy conspiracy theories.

      • gracedarling

Same thing happened to me over about a fortnight, at around the twenty-week mark. I think if you’re relatively short-waisted, all of a sudden the baby has nowhere to go but out.

        • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

That’s a good theory. The same thing happened to me. Most of Halle’s pregnancy is in the front, which is nice. Her baby weight may disappear quickly. Pregnancy and nursing are two personal experiences, IMO. Although they’re nothing to hide, they are personal. I think movie stars and models are used to showing off their curves so they continue to show them when no one (or few) wants to see.

      • embers618

That’s how it happens for a lot of women. You look bloated one day, and the next day you look like you swallowed a basketball. Your ab muscles experience a kind of event horizon and just cannot hold your posture anymore.

        • jmorino08

Also, with second pregnancies, it’s almost like your body knows what to do and is all like “All right, let’s do this!” BAM!

    • MilaXX

She certainly appears to have popped in this dress. It’s okay but really just a typical Halle dress.

    • Imasewsure

The side shot is cute because of her little pooch which distracts from the hideousness of her dress. Way too Georgiou (mall store) for my taste.

    • capybara_cafe

That is NOT a dress for a pregnant woman.

      • janneyb

That is not a dress for almost any woman. Unless you’re Morticia Addams.

        • demidaemon

Morticia would take one look at this and say, “I think not.”

        • capybara_cafe

          Or maybe Elvira.

          • e jerry powell

Elvira would wear it, but would she wear it pregnant?

    • Introspective

When youre this preggers, its time for a different style of dress. Own the bump sure. But stay away from sheer panels that venture so close to the bits no pregnant woman should be publicly flashing.

    • conniemd

The model looks like she has a baby bump.

      • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

        I thought so too!

    • nannypoo

It’s like a giant tattoo and a napkin.

    • Janet B

I’m not sure who should wear it, but it’s not a dress for a pregnant woman.

      • capybara_cafe

I don’t understand why so many want to wear TIGHT stuff when they’re pregnant. There are so many cute and flattering maternity clothes. I know I could not STAND tight stuff when I was pregnant, I wanted A-line, or at least a looser cut. I guess I just don’t think the bump flashing is cute. Maybe I’m too old. Though I do remember shuddering at the sight of this one woman who regularly came in to my office when I was much younger – she wore a black unitard with t-shirts under it throughout her entire pregnancy. It wasn’t pretty.

        • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

It just seems so impractical. My (admittedly limited) knowledge of pregnancy suggests that one might have to pee more often and more urgently than might normally be the case, and wiggling out of a tight dress in such an occasion seems like it might carry with it the potential for disaster.

          • capybara_cafe

DEFINITELY more urgently, and you’re absolutely right. My mother bought me a pair of maternity short-all things, and I thought they would be OK to wear around the house until the first time I had to pee.

      • hotpaprika

I sort of agree, but the thing is she looks comfortable and happy (ahem, Kim Kardashian). I’d give her a pass for now since she’s not heavily pregnant yet. Besides, celebs don’t live in the same planet as the rest of us. I think it’s an ugly dress but there’s not denying the lady puts many younger women into shame, she’s in a fantastic shape; somehow I ended up noticing her instead of that spider web mess.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

It’s not as… offensive… as a lot of her getups usually are. But I still want to say… “We get it – you’re hot *and* pregnant!”

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

I am already so tired of her.

      • akprincess72

        THIS.

    • schadenfreudelicious

from Cat Woman to Spider Woman…

      • formerlyAnon

I DID think of Spider Woman. Then I attributed it to a childish streak, so I feel better knowing I had company.

    • Trisha26

If this is your last post this week, TLo, thanks a whole effing lot for ruining my weekend.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=790818401 Laurie Landry

That’s one ugly dress! Otherwise she looks great.

    • Maluca

      Oh dear lord. NO.

    • ankali

      This looks reeeeaaaallly flammable.

    • demidaemon

Oh boy. Oh boy. I can’t.

    • Coolekat

Hideous from the front but fabulous side view.

    • MikeW_Vegas

Oh dear Lord, No. Even Halle looks bad in it.

    • trixietru

Biting back my meows. She looks so incredibly happy. Glowing :)

    • mhleta

Eesh, no. Maternity dressing should show off how good you look pregnant, not remind people how good you used to look not pregnant.

      • DebbieLovesShoes

        I agree.

      • MaryMitch

I know! I hate the current trend of showing off the “baby bump” (yuk on the term too). Honestly, I don’t really need or want to see that.

        • Beth513

I so totally agree on the term “baby bump” – I find it disturbing.

    • jw_ny

I guess I don’t understand why many pregnant celebs feel the need to dress so overly sexy…to the point of slutty. This is just tacky.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1401197785 Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

      Morticia Maternity. Ugh.

    • http://twitter.com/carelessriver Caterina Maria

It’s cut like it has arrows to the bump. Uh…

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julie-Chase/731391326 Julie Chase

Put it away Halle. We all know you’re hot, but now we also know you’re desperate.

    • H2olovngrl

      Now, that is just weird.

    • gracedarling

It’s an arrow pointing straight to her womb. WE GET IT HALLE.

    • guest2visits

Not pretty Halle… just pretty odd. Not a great way to show off a baby bump.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

      Oh, ffs.

    • formerlyAnon

I busted out laughing at the side view. Halle, sweetie. You’re too old for this nonsense. You’ve had a kid before, and everybody still thought you were sexy and gorgeous. Don’t panic just because you’ll be 64 when this little one goes to college.

    • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

Sometimes I pretend that in the early stage of pregnancy, the actress doesn’t have a baby bump, but rather just finally stopped sucking in her abs because the pressure was finally off. Scroll up and look at it like she finally loosened her girdle. It makes me smile.

Plus, she’s glowingly beautiful through that Morticia dress. Bitch. ;)

    • unbornfawn

She may be my girl crush… This dress, while pregnant? Jesus, Mary and Oprah… NO.

    • e jerry powell

      I don’t see any Louboutin shoes. I just don’t.

    • Mazenderan

I don’t have an issue with pregnant women dressing any way they please – but I think her bump makes the front panel look oddly distorted. The shiny fabric isn’t helping.

On another note, I feel like she’s been in a hair rut for years.

    • ralish

I don’t know… for some reason it’s remind me of a spider web… and the web just caught a baby bump. Am I crazy?

    • lrober03

This post gave me a scrolldown revelation from ‘That dress makes her look pregnant’ to ‘Ohhhhhh’

    • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

Even the model looks bad in this gown! Yikes!

    • Curious3D

      Ugh. Halle has taste issues.

    • MzzPants

      She’s lost her mind.

    • jetpackdino

No stretch marks! Why god why…??!!!

    • carnush

      Stop it Halle, just stop.

    • jmorino08

What is going on in this woman’s head that makes her feel like she has to prove that she’s still sexy? This dress is ridiculous! And would be whether she was pregnant or not. Save it for the Klumster, Halle.

    • Alyssa

File this under “how not to dress while pregnant”…

    • stubbornthoughts

      Wut.

    • Cindy Claussen

If she never got any bigger she has the perfect sea monkey physique

      • lobsterlen

Or the witch from Little Mermaid.

    • lobsterlen

WTH halle is wearing Kiss of the Spider Woman dress in Brazil pregnant?!?!?! She is trolling us.

    • http://profiles.google.com/anplica Anplica Fiore

      Of course…

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000088447181 Sam Smith

spider webs on pregnant body, I say no.

    • Pamela Hunt

And to remind us just how genetically superior she is, she’ll have this baby at age 46 and be back in her normal body within a month. Bitch.
