I just wish she’d stop with the minis. Enough, already.

      • another_laura

        Thanks. Exactly.

        • BrooklynBomber

Plus it’s tight. Add shiny and we’ve got another Heidi Klum on our hands.
(Though I have to say, Heidi looked great in that black mini last night. But, then, it wasn’t especially tight or shiny.)

    • Jessi03

It looks like her outfit from that movie where she was a flight attendant. She looks cute, though. Not remarkable, but cute.

    • eowyn_of_rohan

That cuff at her ankle on her shoe looks like a slap bracelet I had in fourth grade. Same color and everything. I don’t say that as an endorsement of the look.

      • charlotte

I used to go horse riding and those cuffs look like the reflector bandages we put on the horses’ feet in order to be seen in the dark.

      • DebbieLovesShoes

Omagosh, I remember those! Too funny

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=571205045 Kent Roby

I just assumed she was on some REALLY SERIOUS house arrest.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Love the color on her. The dress is that much too right through the torso. But overall it’s a good look for her.

    • siriuslover

      No

    • piecesofconfetti

Like it, but think it’s a tad short.

    • conniemd

Dress rather blah and too short. I like the pop of orange color in the shoes, though.

    • lexilexi

With those legs she’s paying homage to Tracy Anderson, fitness guru. I would too if those gams were mine.

    • Eva_baby

Hmmm, that dress should be all kinds of cute on her. And yet, somehow, it is not.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000393765005 Garcia Loca

Standard dress, shoes uncharacteristically ugly for Kors.

      • aahlife

The shoes are torturous for feet as it does not fit the anatomy. Look at the gap, the models foot cannot match the shape of the shoe. One of the consequences is that it puts so much pressure on the toes, look at the tortured redness of them.

    • Isabel

Throw the shoes into the Pacific Ocean! Liked the color of the dress. But, I agree with others: too tight and too short.

    • http://twitter.com/AbbottRabbit Emily Dagger

If they made a 3″ longer version for those of us without movie star gams, I would buy one in each color.

    • kmk05

A little tight and a little wrinkled, but it’s perfect for summer, especially with the shoes, It’s borderline costume-y with the colours, but… Whatever, I’m feeling charitable. At least she isn’t holding her book.

    • d4divine

She really ought to stop trying so hard. We get it honey, you workout…a lot, apparently that is all you do. By the way, you look great, but no matter how toned you are, that dress is too young for you. You look like you raided future Apple’s wardrobe.

      • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

It looks like she raided *current* Apple’s wardrobe.

    • marilyn

Her skirt is an inch or two too short. Her legs are muscular, and it makes her upper thighs look heavy. If the skirt is an inch or two longer, that is not a problem. I wish she would wear more makeup and get some styling to her hair. She is hanging on to her teenage years which are long gone. She would actually look younger if she dressed more age-appropriately.

      • Melanie

If her upper thighs “look heavy,” none of the rest of us have a fucking chance.

      • fauxhawk

I agree with everything except the comment on her thighs.

      • Qitkat

        Her upper thighs look heavy?
        Surely you jest.

      • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Yeah – I have to disagree about her thighs. As much as she annoys the everliving crap out of me, there’s no denying that she has KILLA legs. And clearly she wants to remind everyone of this every chance she gets.

ETA: An important takeaway… we shouldn’t be SEEING her upper thighs.

    • SewingSiren

      She needs a baton.

      • TonyGo

        Or pom poms.

        • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

          OMG, yes.

          • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000905542323 Rhonda Shore

she needs lowlights in her hair.

            • H2olovngrl

She needs a flat iron intervention!

        • Sunraya

I was just going to,say that!!!

      • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

And a dress that she doesn’t have to be sewn into.

      • judybrowni

Or a pair of ice skates.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Too tight, too short, too wrinkled, and the shoes don’t go. And would it KILL her to do something with her hair and slap on some lipstick?

      • gabbilevy

Mostly agree, but I think that orange was kind of an inspired “might as well go technicolor” choice (the dress, althought too tight and too short and too wrinkled still manages to be quite dull, other than the color.)

      • Claire Benedict

        Did you forget too short?

        • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Nope – it’s there. But maybe it’s worth saying it more than once.

      • drdarke

While I can appreciate Paltrow wanting to show off her legs – that ensemble’s doing her no favors.

    • Sara__B

Too tight. Too short. Great color. Awful shoes.

    • flamingoNW

Works much better than the previous outfit. The color is good on her. It bugs me the way she poses though. I don’t love the dress but I don’t hate it either. It works with the shoes.

    • Indigo54

No honey. Not this. Just relax, stop trying so hard. So you’re not 20 any more. Get over it. It’s ok.

    • schadenfreudelicious

great gams aside, the dress looks a tad short for her, time to trot out that old adage of just because you can doesn’t mean you should…

      • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

        amen sister

    • CaTobes

I….love it? I need those shoes, but I’m a sucker for brights. Look is definitely too young for Gwen, but she’s got the bod to pull it off.

    • Martha Jones

The dress is a skosh too short, but the color looks beautiful on her. GOOP needs to wear more colors, she looks really good in them; she looks cute, fresh and perky, rather than tight and oily as she does most of the time. It’s an IN from me.

    • filmcricket

Oh dear God. Honey, no. That colour is great on you but you are too old to wear a pinafore!

The sad thing is, I think a lot of Posh’s line would work for Gwynny here, given how sleek and Calvin Klein-esque the pieces are, and how that suit’s GP’s all-American looks. Why in the name of all things holy would you pick this dress out of all the choices?

    • http://twitter.com/Glam_Dixie Glam Dixie

Too young, too tight, too short.

      • DeborahJozayt

You can actually see the outline of her aerolas.

        • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=571205045 Kent Roby

I literally spit coffee reading this!

          • DeborahJozayt

Blame my husband for your coffee being a projectile. He obviously notices those types of things well before I do :)

    • http://twitter.com/FlyoverFi FlyoverFi

Given how short that skirt is, I’m in awe of how she managed to get it so wrinkled. Looks like a tennis dress that she just grabbed after having stuffed it in a workout bag.

    • formerlyAnon

First reaction? Colorful tennis dress. A little short, which makes it read a little young, especially with her way-too-teen-at-the-beach hair. But she has the body to pull it off, so she may as well enjoy it while she still can. I don’t love the shoes, but they work.

      • rococodada

I thought she needed a tennis racquet in her hand, too. Body or no body- she shouldn’t be wearing this, though. :)

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

It’s a bit Jetson-y. And slightly desperate. YES you have a killer body and we’d be able to see that even if your dress was loose enough to let you breathe. And not wrinkle. Love the combination of that dress and the shoes.

    • Tuneful54

Does she play tennis with her feet? The last time I saw colored bands like that was on the wrists of tennis players.
She is over 40 now. I just think it’s looks sad, classless, and clueless to keep trying to look like you are in your teens or 20s. Better hair, better shoes, some makeup, and lowering hem by several inches, and this could have been okay.

    • CommentsByKatie

This is the first time I’ve looked at her and thought she looked past her prime. She’s obviously stunning, but I think this outfit is too young for her. The multicolor chunky sandals and the flared skirt remind me of toddler clothes. It’s an odd look.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Julie-Chase/731391326 Julie Chase

I agree, it’s a little too young-this would look really cute on someone like Emma Stone.

    • librarygrrl64

I usually like VB’s stuff, but I pretty much hate everything about this outfit. And the hair looks a bit fried.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=677547537 John Hodgins

She just really, really liked her costumes from View From The Top.

    • decormaven

I can’t focus on her look, because I’m distracted by the sad foot model in the Kors publicity shot. Tip: if someone is to model your shoe, please provide a complimentary pedicure and polish.

      • YoungSally

Clearly you solved the mystery of why Andrea on WD had a pedicure in the finale…..she was supposed to model the shoes for MK!!!

    • julnyes

too short and too tight and those shoes are hideous.

    • VicD

Jay-zus, that dress looks exactly like what we wore to cheerleader camp in 10th grade. Add some white keds and you’ve got the look. It was not exactly groundbreaking then. And for an “event,” it just looks stupid.

    • PeggyOC

An inch more hem, and an inch bigger through the torso and she’d have a winner. The overall concept is good, and the shoes are inspired. The execution is lacking in the tailoring region.

    • carpediva

I’d like it more if the skirt were longer but I actually quite like this and I LURVE the shoes (though personally I’d want the royal blue ones).

    • Carrieanno

She forgot her tennis shoes and racket.

    • disqus_sZRDWtvvVD

Weird fit (tight?) and the fabric looks stiff.

    • lobsterlen

I love that color on her and the shoes are killer. This is so close but I hate hate hate these figure skater, tap dancer, cheerleader, tennis player inspired dresses that have been pushed for the last year or so.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Monzerrat-Ontiveros/100000216133922 Monzerrat Ontiveros

love it! she has the body to do it!

    • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

So much color, and yet so boring.

    • http://www.facebook.com/laura.stechschulte Laura Stechschulte

      She looks like Judy Jetson.

      • YoungSally

        Wearing Jane’s dress.

    • duchessofjersey

I really think a big part of style is dressing your age. Compare the above to the confident 40-something elegance of Marisa Tomei or Cate Blanchett. Or even to the gowns Gwyneth chooses for more formal events – the white dress with cape she wore to … the Oscars? or some awards show recently – was awesome. I’m 32 and wouldn’t wear one of these little skater dresses – my legs would look fine, I’d just feel juvenile in it.

      • d4divine

        So true

    • LaSylphide

Odd fit, and very unflattering to her legs.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000088447181 Sam Smith

I like the color and that is all. its either too short or the proportions are off and the shoes are horrible.

    • http://twitter.com/lisledanielle Danielle Lisle

I can’t with the orange stripe.

    • MilaXX

She should have worn the shoes in blue

    • Melanie

I guess she’s got to show off what Tracy Anderson can do for you (if, um, you have enough money/time). But really? We live in a world where we do red carpet openings of fucking workout studios, complete with step and repeat? Jesus H.

    • procrastinatrice

I actually love the dress and the shoes on her. Yes, it is a young outfit, but she is pulling it off. Looks modern, colorful and sleek! If the dress wasn’t so tight, I would wholeheartedly endorse this look for her.

      • H2olovngrl

Ditto. And to be frank, her clean make-up never bothered me the way it does with other people

    • IMNAngryLiberal

Agree with the comments about the dress, but this is still better than the dress from yesterday — and I LOVE the shoes. I think the purple and orange are great together….they are … complementary, split-complementary (whatever .. it’s been a really long time since my art classes).

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=603005248 Jeff Warhurst

I’m in the minority that LOVES Gwyneth… but this is a real clunker. Bad.

    • http://www.facebook.com/jacoryd JaCory Deon

It’s all right for her, I guess, but would it kill her to do something with that hair? Girl we know you are rich…fix that sh** up!

    • http://twitter.com/lynniecakes Lynn

It looks like a Star Trek uniform.

    • teensmom99

If any one could make Gwynnie looks fat (she isn’t), it’s Vicky B.

      • H2olovngrl

I don’t think she looks fat at all. She just needed to get the dress in a size 2 not a size 0

        • teensmom99

She doesn’t look fat–I was trying to be humorous. I’m just not as good as my favorite uncles in conveying humor in print.

          • H2olovngrl

Well, let’s just pretend she looks fat anyway, so we can make fun of her some more. ;-)

            • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

              She looks pudgy. How’s that?

            • teensmom99

Well the dress is tight (I agree with your 2 vs. 0 analysis) and she is fatter than La Beckham who is the person I really was trying to make fun of.

            • H2olovngrl

Man, that one scares me with her freakish body!

    • Qitkat

Evidently she wanted her ankles to glow in the dark.

    • random_poster

I like the color of the dress on her.

    • insertclevername_ici

      gwenie, no!

    • Stansie

It’s actually not a bad look, but it’s just not hers. Ship it to Emma Stone or that little Amandla Stenberg.

    • http://www.facebook.com/NicoleLittle1 Nicole Little

I think it’s cute and fresh.

    • H3ff

It’s a cute look, but the shape and length of the skirt is too junior on her.

    • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

Oh, grow up! This is for someone much younger. I like the dress, especially the color. But those neon, glow-in-the-dark orange shoes? Gah!

    • anotherkate

Great look but the proportions are off. I think she absolutely has the legs to carry a skirt that short, but not with the way it’s flared out. I LOVE the shoes with this dress. Agree that she could use some body in her hair, and a bit more color on her face. I don’t see her as a lipstick lady, but I always thought she pulled off the Margot Tennenbaum smoky eye really well, and I’d love to see her with a modern, less racoon-y version of that on red carpets.

    • JulieTy

Just because one CAN doesn’t mean one SHOULD. That is TOO SHORT for someone at her stage in life. Send it to a Fanning.

    • BrightsideSusan

Age inappropriate. Soon Apple will be telling her to knock off taking clothes from her closet.

    • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

honey, chanel told us to take one thing off, not to drop every single accessory and piece of jewlery.

      good colour, tho.

    • Sing4yursupper

Oh, seriously, that’s horrible. Summer skating dress?

    • Pamela Hunt

Butterick pattern much? And I see once again she HASN’T done something jolly with her hair.

    • demidaemon

HATE IT. Though I can’t discern if it’s because I hate the dress, GP, or both.

    • PeaceBang

Oh, for the love of God. Ridiculous. Grow up, Gwen.

    • hellkell

Go up a size, Gwynnie, and stop being such a try-hard.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=724916801 facebook-724916801

Her chest is squished and the whole thing is boring. Bleh.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=783500814 Amelia Pitts

      1. Iron? 2. Tennis sweat bands on the ankles look silly 3. The whole thing gives me cramps.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=149100065 Virginia McMurdo

She and Jennifer Aniston and the hair. Kills me.

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

She is two steps away from looking desperate. Seriously Gwynnie, what size is it if it is tight on you? Oh I know, it’s JUNIOR!! And please, puhleeeeeze, change your hair.

    • gsk241

I’m Gwennie, and I just turned 5 years old! Look at my pretty new Easter dress!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1241487378 Lauren Lynch Fox

      Looks like a tennis dress…

    • elemspbee

      awful.

    • jetpackdino

Is there some sort of communicable disease Brad Pitt is spreading around that prevents his significant others from ever changing their hair? Aniston, Paltrow, Jolie… Please seek immediate medical attention. I’m just about sick of all y’all’s stringy hair.

    • http://twitter.com/amndad amanda lynn

That’s cute. Why is that a “new” design?

    • guest2visits

Too short again. Doesn’t make you look younger, leaner, or taller. Just looks off.
Why do these women with a solid career and a body of work behind them feel the need to dress too junior too long…
It would be nice tennis dress. On the other hand, the shoes are great for her.

    • http://twitter.com/ssmassh Sam

      I hate her

    • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

Killer legs…but where are the ice skates?

    • ankali

I dig it. Very SoCal, very Gwynnie.

    • drdarke

Yes, because purple and orange are absolutely complementary colors!

Gwynnie, go to the IRON MAN 3 opening – Bob and Jack waiting to start a threesome with you….

    • Kirsten Kirsten

      Oh Grow up, Gwyneth!

    • DebbieLovesShoes

Is that a “foot model” in that picture of the Michael Kors shoes? Really? ‘Cause them is some ugly-ass feet, if you ask me.

    • AudreysMom

wait, is the model’s name last name pronounced Bee-yotch?

    • Katie

She looks like a fanta girl.

    • http://twitter.com/cornekopia Shawn EH

Makes you wish she’d hook up with Stella McCartney again.

    • Coco Cornejo

killa shoes (just not with that dress). the rest is meh.

    • kalisa

Oh god no. I can see faces in her knees. And they look like they’re laughing at her.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=594362374 Rebecca Clifford

I want to love the orange with the purple, but I think there’s too much leg in between. Beautiful color on her. But it’s too young.

    • bassfemme

Where was I when this look was on display? This bitter kitten is awesomely hating this ensemble. Where to begin? The curious color combination looks like a Halloween lawn snowglobe of a big ol’ purple spider. The mini A-line dress is the embodiment of scroll down fug. Finally, foundation wear. A bra & spanx are requirements for many people, but especially Ms. Paltrow. I need to stop seeing her nipples now!
