love this…I want to pet her tho. ;)

That gorgeous necklace gets lost in the print. A few layered chains would’ve been better. Shoes are meh….Love the dress on her, though.

  • lexilexi

Don’t care for the necklace with the dress… or the label on the sleeve. It’s just ok.

  • charlotte

Who ‘shopped the model into a 10 feet tall giant? Her head doesn’t even fit into the picture.
I don’t really like animal prints because they often look tacky, but the dress looks pretty good on Claire.

    • Little_Olive

Boy, someone at Lanvin was really proud of that idea for a hemline

  • http://twitter.com/MEGalasso Meg Galasso

Would have preferred the statement accessory to be the belt rather than a necklace. A more substantial belt would have helped this look along greatly.

  • VeryClaire

She looks great. What an inspired way to use animal print without looking tacky. But why is there a label on her sleeve?

  • Sara__B

I love the flirty hemline, but not the styling. How about a statement belt instead of a statement necklace, different shoes, and no label showing on her right sleeve?

  • zenobar

Little bit Flintstone-y for my tastes. But it does call to mind the plush bottle top on my mom’s favorite perfume, Tigress, so it gets nostalgia points for that.

  • SugarSnap108

I love the shape of it, but I’m biased against animal prints. They just … bug me. The necklace is all wrong with the dress, and I have to join the chorus asking, WHY is the label on her wrist?

    • VeryClaire

I don’t really like animal prints either but this one works. It’s more like it’s inspired by animal prints rather than the usual too-literal look.

      • teensmom99

I like animal prints but this one is too matronly. She looks lfrom the neck down) like she’s about to play herself in 25 years

      • SugarSnap108

The print itself isn’t literal, but part of what makes it too animal-y for me is that the material (in the close-up) appears to be fuzzy/furry/fluffy.

  • alyce1213

Much to my surprise I kind of like it. Not the necklace — all wrong, it’s overkill, obvious, just too much for the large-scale animal print.
I bet the fabric is gorgeous in person.

  • BrooklynBomber

    Yikes.

      Ditto.

        Me three.

  • Tatiana Luján

Who told her that shade of blonde suited her? Between the hair color and the shiny face, I cannot focus on the clothes.
The necklace is too much. I wish she had used a real belt instead of the necklace.

  • Trisha26

Lose the necklace, more substantial and more interesting belt. Better yet, make the necklace into a belt!

  • http://thishotoldbroad.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

WTF! And it looks furry in one of the pics. No. This is just wrong. Totally wrong.

  • Anniebet

Boomerangs usually don’t make good accessories, but it goes with the “unflattering” theme that’s going on there.

    • drdarke

      Oh, dear – I think Carrie’s meds just hit….

Seriously – she’s used that Thousand Yard Stare more than a few times on HOMELAND to show she’s losing it.

  • MilaXX

Hate the necklace and she needs a bit more color on the face.

  • Carla_Charlton

This should have been a “Girl, That’s Not Your Dress” post.

I’m sorry, I really HATE animal print.

  • MandyM

Finally Claire Danes is starting to look slightly more like the angsty teenager I remember. I don’t know where the blonde bombshell came from but she wasn’t nearly as interesting looking as the young Claire Danes. I like this hybrid version though. The dress makes her look dumpy though.

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

I dunno. To me, it looks like the stylist threw everything but the kitchen sink at the model trying to cover up that dress and I agree with that impulse.

  • crash1212

Great dress and she looks great in it. I really prefer the model shoes to the plain old black – not crazy about this neckpiece – or any neckpiece for that matter – with this print. Love hair and make-up.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

    Ew. Frump city.

  • LambeeBaby

I like the dress but the necklace does not go with it and I think it looks like part of a hockey stick. Her hair is not working with this look.

    • l_c_ann

If it isn’t a hockey stick, what is it?

      • ceceliadid

        Neck boomerang?

  • http://www.facebook.com/NicoleLittle1 Nicole Little

I didn’t know Claire Danes survived a boomerang hunting accident. Brave of her to go on, Teddy Roosevelt styles, and show up on the red carpet. Very professional.

    • ballerinawithagun

I thought it was some sort of meat cleaver initially, but you are correct, boomerang! Weird.

  • berkeleygirl

Not crazy about the dress, but the hair color seems a bit toned down… Like…

  • Imasewsure

I don’t think I like Lanvin very much and I definitely don’t like this. Hate the necklace too but she does look easy breasy pretty

  • ankali

Ugly. And awful with her hair color.

  • DesertDweller79

I kind of like the dress. But, wow, that necklace is totally wrong for it. I couldn’t figure out why she had that chunky piece of something stuck to her dress. I had to scroll to the comments and read them to discover that it was a necklace. Her hair is also wrong for this dress. And the shoes are meh. Would love to see this dress styled differently.

  • Thathoodwink

Well…..I do love the model’s shoes!

  • theblondette

Everyone hates this, apparently, but I love it. But I own two leopard print dresses. ;) However the necklace is too much for this dress.

    • poggi

I like the dress too, it’s her makeup that seems off to me. I don’t like the pink tones with this.

  • formerlyAnon

Hate. Emphasizes the lemon tone to her hair. The necklace, what I can see of it, is ugly. Hate the print. Can’t fault the cut, though.

  • AmeliaEve

Cute dress, but I hate that yellow hair with her peaches and cream skintone.

    • Little_Olive

      And pumpkin eyebrows.

  • carnush

Hate the print. Hate the shape.

  • http://profiles.google.com/gillianholroyd gillian holroyd

Looks better on the model, mostly because it is covered up by that gorgeous swing coat.

  • jennsilentcrow

nonononono on every level. every single thing in this picture makes me want to say no. Including the shiny forehead.

  • http://marshmallowjane.com/ marshmallowjane

    The dress gobbles her up.

  • librarygrrl64

I don’t like this at all. Done.
