Chris Hemsworth in Ermenegildo Zegna

Posted on April 24, 2013

We’re wiped out after that Mad Style. Have a cup of man and talk amongst yourselves, darlings.

Chris Hemsworth attends the 2013 Wool Awards in Sydney, Australia in an Ermenegildo Zegna three-piece suit.

We suggest not staring too long if you’re prone to seizures, but aside from that, enjoy.

There’s a “WOOL AWARD”?? I love the suit, and I love the pattern, but yes, when I look at the full-body shots, it starts to make me dizzy. BUT… really interesting suit, and it fits great. He’s never done it for me, but I still think the boy looks fab.

    • http://14shadesofgrey.wordpress.com/ Salazar

      Apparently there is in Australia!

  • Vickiefantastico

    Why is his hand orange???

He looks great, and I have to say, I dearly love the name of that designer or design house.

  • gabbilevy

    Worth the seizures.

    • http://twitter.com/EmFairbank Emily

      Mmhmm. Totally.

  • carnush

His suit doesn’t photograph really well, does it? He does nothing for me, regardless.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I was just thinking that. But I bet it looks fantastic in person.

  • deathandthestrawberry

    Holy moiré pattern!

  • korilian

The suit doesn’t photograph well. He on the other hand..

  • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

And now I need a dramamine. That was troubling to look at at.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Wow, the visual feedback is jarring. Otherwise? Yumminess squared.

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Amen, brother! Not many of the younger man stars Wang my Chung, but Mr. Chris is a wonderful exception.

    • StellaZafella

Looks like he’s “phasing in” on the transporter…Beam me up, Mr Hemsworth, indeed!

I’m positive that tiny Houndstooth check looks scrumptious in person.

      • drdarke

Okay, no surprise that I’d totally go gay for Chris Helmsworth – but could he finish beaming down first, please…?

    • barbarienne

Just stay focused on the eyes and manly jawline.

    • http://www.facebook.com/vlasta.bubinka Vlasta Bubinka

I stared long enough and saw Waldo.

  • lbl

He’s really fond of grey suits, isn’t he?

    • AmandaCathleen

Seriously. This look is just crying out for some color.

      • anotherkate

But what about his dreamy blue eyes? ;)

      • lbl

All of his looks are. I think if you flip through his tag every suit he wears on the red carpet is in a shade of grey. Maybe he’s trying out for the role in “Fifty…”

  • http://twitter.com/hmbscully WendyD

Is this fabric the male version of sheer fabrics on women with the “I didn’t know what it would look like photographed” excuse?

  • http://www.facebook.com/kbelgrad Karen Belgrad

I can see his Jon Hamm ;)

    • TAGinMO

Hoo boy. How did I miss that the first time?

      • Beth513

Perhaps the magic eye print was distracting you? I missed his Thor’s Hamm-er the first time too ;)

    • OrigamiRose

Oh dear. I can’t unsee that.

    • carpediva

“Hammaconda”, make way for the “Hemaconda!”

      • Rand Ortega

I wonder with that print if you cross your eyes & stare at it for longer than a minute will it start slithering?

  • http://twitter.com/kathyvr Kathy Van Ryzin

    That suit is fit spectacularly.

  • MilaXX

Shame. I bet this looked really good in person. It’s just one of those patterns that go wonky on camera

  • titaness25

My school uniform’s shirt was kind of like that pattern. Pretty in person- painful in pictures. We all look permanently smudged. Eta- but hawt. Like Mr Thor here.

  • http://www.facebook.com/CameronETurner Cameron Turner

    Needed this midday enjoyment….

  • another_laura

Op Art! Where are your cuffs, young man, and why couldn’t somebody take half an inch off that hem?

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Good call on the cuffs, but I think the hem is an acceptable length.

  • RebeccaKW

    Woof. He is delicious.

The suit pattern is a bit odd in photos, but I love the pattern mixing and he does look good.

  • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Pity about the way the pattern strobes – makes it hard to appreciate the very fine details. Very fine indeed.

  • http://www.facebook.com/RocketStarling Ashley Ellen Wilson

OH. OH. OH. What a man. What a delicious, well-dressed man. Yum.

  • Tracy_Flick

That tie! JC Penney circa 1997. The rest looks great.

  • Karen Maslowski

Why would any knowledgeable stylist use a pattern that moires in such a way in photographs?

    Otherwise: hubba, hubba.

    • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

I know, talk about heart-throb. He looks like he is literally throbbing.

  • jetpackdino

Can’t get past that button problem there. Such a beautiful guy… Dang I need to button that vest lol

  • KSpence

    I’ll take two, please.

  • TSkot

Pity, looks like he’s lost his Thor beef.

  • gsk241

Hi, Thor! GO HOME AND SHAVE!

  • sado

    Dohhh.

  • lobsterlen

A whole suit made from chef pants material.

  • Jessi03

    Nom nom nom.

  • luluransom

Did he put it in the dryer?

  • formerlyAnon

Weird effect there in the photo. Hope it wasn’t as apparent in real life.
He looks great. I like the choice of tie, but there’s something I’m not loving about the cut of the jacket. I don’t remember him as approaching slope-shouldered. But maybe it’s his stance. Or the optical illusion.

Whatever. Challenging day so far, thanks for posting something nice to look at that takes less time than Mad Style.

  • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

Back collar is waaaay to far from the neck…looks sloppy!

  • PastryGoddess

    I’m hypnotized

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=811053804 Stacy Parker Cole

That’s the reason they tell you no houndstooth when you’re on tv or taking pictures. It’s awful! That being said, yum yum. I’d rather see him sweaty in a pair of almost falling off jeans. Just sayin. ;-)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=811053804 Stacy Parker Cole

      Or maybe no jeans. ;-)

  • Danielle

I’ll bet this looked great in person. Here I’ll just have to picture him without the clothes on.

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

I love houndstooth, but man, that’s making me dizzy.

  • surfergirl70

    Delicious.

  • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

the fabric doesnt “pixel” well, but… WOO!

  • Eclectic Mayhem

    *purring noise*

  • carpediva

Too. many. clothes. That is all.

  • Pants_are_a_must

The suit colors do nothing for him, but boy oh boy is he a STEAK.

  • Zorkness

    I wanna have his babies…

  • Louise Bryan

That fabric is doing some k-razy things — op-art to the max! Best Chris should remove some of that houndstooth for the preservation of my well being. Maybe we can even find a cape if he gets chilled.

  • http://twitter.com/amndad amanda lynn

I feel so bad about the moire patterns. Because I think that’s making people not notice the great suit. Or maybe that’s the hunka hunka in the suit. :)

  • ankali

He’s delicious, but I can’t get behind wearing an optical illusion, even if it’s not his fault.

  • poggi

Very nice, and I really appreciate that he actually tries and doesn’t just rely on his innate hotness.

  • B_C_J

The vest is too short and even perhaps ill fitting and the whole look is a bit monochromatic once you factor in the tie

  • http://twitter.com/carnivaltenten Ten Ten

If you stare at his crotch for 10 seconds and then look away, unicorns will start coming out from the nearest wall.

  • H2olovngrl

Maybe a solid vest? That’s a whole lotta houndstooth.
