WERQ: Rosario Dawson in Jenny Packham

Posted on March 20, 2013

It’s been kinda cazh around these parts today, what with the workout clothes, coats, and unimpressive ladypants taking center stage. We feel the need for some sparkle right now.

Rosario Dawson attends the premiere of ‘Trance’ in London in a Jenny Packham gown accessorized with a Salvatore Ferragamo clutch and Vhernier jewelry.

If you don’t know the quote, you should.

Fabulous, no? You WERQ the shit out of that Hollywood drag, Miss Lady! You look like a tube of lipstick in a drag queen’s purse, gurl! MOVIE STAR SNAPS.

  • you just give WERQ’s to everything sparkly! 😛

    • Sobaika

And rightly fully so! I love anything shiny 🙂

Either way, Rosario is pulling off a difficult dress.

  • I love the dress and make up. I could only wish her hair was a touch more formal.

  • TLJezebel

    Valley of the Dolls!!!

  • “You look like a tube of lipstick in a drag queen’s purse, gurl!”

I love you two, so, so, so much.

  • No one can doubt her commitment to sparklemotion.

    • I wonder how much that dress weighs?

    • JasmineAM

Just got done watching that movie earlier. Nicely done!

  • beebee10

    looks great. love her.

  • homofascist

Thank god. Today’s looks were total bummers. I feel refreshed.

  • Elizabeth Silverstein

Oooh, ruby slipper dress. Oh yes.

  • alyce1213

Good one! (It’s Neely, but I won’t quibble for spelling as the reference is nearly 50 years old.)

She really is sparkly. The clutch is a little matchy.

  • MilaXX

Any BK’s who don’t know that quote deserves to have their BK membership revoked. Love the red sparkle.

    • Too too true!

    • Melizmatic

She’s serving ‘Valley of the Dolls’ realness.

  • jw_ny

I was on the fence about the werq until I saw the back…stunning!

    • Cathy S

      Yes! I love the back.

  • Therese Bohn

I bet that’s one crunchy dress! Thanks for the sparkle!

    • e jerry powell

And somehow I don’t think she sits down in it.

      • It would leave weird… bumps. But it’s fab.

  • e jerry powell

That is a sickening pageant girl!

  • Pterodactyl111

    Oooh I love the back.

  • BrooklynBomber

I don’t care what she’s wearing (though she looks FAB in red!): with that smile and that spirit you can’t help but love her.

  • Imasewsure

Gorgeous – Don’t even mind the matchy clutch since the color is so beautiful in general

  • C. C. Winslow

Best I’ve ever EVER seen her look.

  • caroline miles

    “Valley of the Dolls” fabuliciousness!

  • another_laura

I’m such a sucker for a good red dress. WERQ that glamor, you glamorpuss!

  • Maluca

She looks stunning. I would venture to say, the best she’s ever looked!

  • OoooOOO!

  • Trisha26

Gorgeous – and she’s covered up. Beautiful gown and makeup.

  • Damn

  • SewingSiren

    I want a doll!

  • You guys made me laugh pretty hard at that last paragraph.

However, I think this dress is doing nothing for her. There’s something UNDERWHELMING about that besequined dress.

  • She looks great and she knows it. And who cares if the dress weighs 130 pounds? You gotta’ climb Mt. Everest to reach the Valley of the Dolls baby!

  • StephanieLovesTLo

    So gorgeous. Love huh!

  • embers618

I get that this dress probably weighs a ton, but other than the photo where she’s showing off the back, it makes her look like she’s slouching. I don’t think she actually is slouching, it’s the weight of the dress on the front of her body that’s somehow making her posture look less crisp. Not sure exactly how to describe it, but it’s making the whole look less amazing for me, which is sad, because she and the dress are gorgeous.

  • j_anson

I like! Although hard on the heels of the like comes the thought of how unhappy her arms are going to feel after a few hours in that dress. :

  • Anniebet

The back explains the sleeves which were blocking my view of all that fabulousness. Last pic is to die for, that profile, that smile, the draping! Love the clutch too – a good contrast to all that shiny. And by golly, a lovely unvarnished manicure.

  • kathrineb

Not a look I like. To each there own I guess.

  • Apocalipstick Now Redux

Rosario looks stunning. However, I think this dress would also work on Melissa McCarthy. It hits all of her buttons, sleeves, not a low neckline, and could be tailored to give her some waist.

  • Jennifer Coleman

Hmmm. you just made me recall a dream I had last night about a sparkly ninja. He was fabulous.

  • Alyssa

Love this look. Perfect for a star premiering her movie!

  • Indigo54

Thank goodness. Rosie finally got it right.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

That ring is gorgeous. And I like the fact that the Bag MATCHES. But I am old school about those things. She is so put together here. Glamorous. I wonder what it would be like to look like this woman and to wear this dress and to smile at those cameras?

  • Melizmatic

    She looks gorgeous.

  • librarygrrl64

Modern realness via Carole Lombard. She looks gorgeous!!!

  • MsKitty

I love you both forever for the “Valley” quote. That is all.

  • libraangel

LOL the lipstick remark! Yeh, Rosario, you are back into the Land of the Living! Sparkle, indeed= fabulous!

  • EEKstl

“Sparkle, Neely, Sparkle!” LMAO. One of my favorite films of all time. (Oh, and yes, RD looks fab).

  • She looks like Bianca Jagger’s lost daughter… without the smirk but equally chic.

  • lrhg

She’s at a film premiere and just broke up with the director. So this is basically a “See What You’re Missing” dress. Well played, my dear, well played.

  • ”You look like a tube of lipstick in a drag queen’s purse, gurl!” shall be my new goal in life.

  • Gorgeous and glamorous. Love it.

  • She is no longer dating Absolut Hunk Jason Lewis, but she is an Absolute Siren in this dress.

  • PrunellaV

I can’t call it a WERQ because it looks a little too mature for her, but I can’t blame her for being unable to resist the shiny.

  • She brought it! Is it time for Sin City 2 yet?

  • HobbitGirl

Has she gained weight? She doesn’t look as scary-bony-skinny as I’ve seen her in the past. A lot healthier-looking here IMO. And J’ADORE the dress.
