  • The top looks like a napkin and the skirt looks like a table cloth…did she get dressed in the dining room?

    • jetpackdino

Oh no! The top *does* look like a napkin. Now I can’t un-see it!

    • 3boysful

Someone else wore something from this line (I am not as good as most of you at the who-wore-what recall), but while it is a napkin, I think I like it better here. But it does need the belt.

  • blogless

She’s so much more striking as a brunette but she still looks pretty. That skirt looks wrinkled though and I prefer the shoes the model is wearing but I’d give it a weak thumb’s up.

  • I think it needed the belt.

  • Rand Ortega

I miss the detail of the belt. Other than that, it’s a lovely look.

  • sablehunter

Wow. She looks so much better on the show. The earrings are cute I guess.

  • OMG has she always been blonde?

    • EEKstl

No, she was (appropriately) brunette when she portrayed Anne Boleyn on Showtime’s “The Tudors.” She looked much better IMO. Still, she looks great here.

      • Jean Marie Downing

I think she might have gone brunette for the part though. There were interviews and things between seasons where her hair was this light.

I love her has a brunette, but I’m pretty sure her Anne hair (which I envy the hell out of) is not really hers. If she’s a natural brunette I don’t think she’s that dark of one.

        • EEKstl

Oh, could be. And yes, her Anne Hair was fabulous. I do think she’s more striking dark.

  • Sobaika

I wish she were still a brunette, but I think she looks fab.

    • I’ve yet to watch GoT, but she was a brunette on Tudors, too. I prefer her as a brunette – she looks a little too mousey as a blonde. Literally. Whiskers.

  • The top is the very epitome of folded napkin couture. Hate it. She, however, looks very lovely.

  • Didn’t we just see this dress on someone else? Oh well, regardless, she looks very nice. Crisp.

  • gabbilevy

I like the white skirt better than the black version worn by Samantha Barks not too long ago. Love the earrings. Very GoT.

    • Jean Marie Downing

Thank you. I was about to ask who else we had seen this in.

I LOVE this on her. I want this dress.

      • gabbilevy

I usually find it by clicking the tags on the story. That brings up all the recent posts from the designer, and it’s easy to figure it out from there.

  • jetpackdino

She looks good. She does look better as a brunette, and she’s missed a key shoe opportunity here… But I’m feeling some strength and beauty from this girl. Thumbs up.

  • Imasewsure

Hate those crumb-catcher necklines but this one is nice and the dress looks great (yes belt would help). Hate the hair and makeup in the close up…Too Mary Martin for my taste!! Go back to brunette whoever you are!

  • Apocalipstick Now Redux

The makeup is doing her no favors in the close up. Her eyebrows looks like gray tattoos. Her left eye looks much larger than her right eye. She tends to lose her upper lip when she smiles, so while the lipstick is fine in the first photo, it makes her look like she has an orange slash above her teeth in the smile shots.

  • Jecca2244

love this. but i am biased because I have loved her since The Tudors. Think her hair needs to be a bit darker. but love the dress.

  • Anniebet

I do adore this actress, usually find her style very pleasing. Something about this one is just off putting – possibly because I see her head, especially in the second and third pictures, as shaped like a guitar pick. Can’t unsee.

  • VanessaDK

She looks like she is about to start baking and doesn’t want flour on her nice green dress.

    • Lori

I like this, but I immediately thought that I would like it better if the skirt was a different color. In white it’s a little too apron adjacent.

  • Flattering…like with the belt a bit better.

  • mmc2315

Hmm. Not sure that is the easiest dress to pull off, but I think she is just managing it.

  • shawnhunter

love this. don’t really mind the fact she didn’t include the belt.

  • She should have kept the belt.

  • HeatherMcIlrath

why does she insist on going blonde when she looks so hot as a brunette?

  • Her shoes don’t do anything for that dress.

  • Carly Warnock

Can someone explain who she is?

She looks cute. Like that green on her.

    • Jeanettesca

She played Anne Boleyn on The Tudors. Too lazy to look up the channel, I think it was Showtime, maybe HBO?

      • It was Showtime. And she was amazing!

    • She’s best known as Anne Boleyn from the Tudors and Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones. She’s very unique-looking, which sounds like it should be an insult, but I think she’s one of the more striking actresses working today.

      • She has such an unusual and beautiful face and I love her as Margaery Tyrell!

      • Adriana_Paula

She looks a little like a fox, which I mean as a vast compliment.

    • Derek_anny

She’s playing Door in BBC Radio’s adaption of Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. (Which is available online worldwide. Worldwide. Even in the US.)
It’ll be online for, I think, two more weeks. Also starring James McAvoy as Richard, Benedict Cumberbatch as Islington, Christopher Lee as the Earl of Earl’s Court, and about 10 other fairly famous people. Benedict sings Lyke Wake Dirge. Why are you still reading?

  • Qitkat

I really like color story of this dress, as well as the structure and details like the pop of color at the hem, either belted or unbelted. Since I’m not familiar with her as an actress, just going by the photos here, she’s quite attractive. Her hair and makeup work well, the earrings are a little different and striking, and the plain shoes are inoffensive. She is confident, knowing how good she looks.

    • I wonder if the color story and structure are meant asa refernce to her charachter on the show. ‘Green dress with weird structural elements’ pretty much describes all of the Lady Margery costumes.

  • Cute dress, with or without the belt. She’s one of those actresses I SO closely associate with her character… I. Can’t. Stand. Her.

  • Trisha26

Don’t like the napkin bodice. And it needs the belt.

  • ConnieBV

I love her smile and can’t frankly make it past her neck. I love you, Anne!

  • chitowndg

I think the trouble with the dress on her is the length. The shape of the skirt, without the belt, wants to be at the knee. See the model.

  • RedRaven617

The lipstick went well with the green of the dress; but somehow I don’t like it with her bright blue eyes.

  • cabins8

Margaery Tyrell looks pretty damn great!

  • lobsterlen

The belt. Why didn’t she wear the belt? Why do celebrities fear the belt on the red carpet?

  • luciaphile

Another vote for the belt, but I think she looks quite sharp in this. I love the top half and don’t see folded napkin at all.

  • Indigo54

Go back and get the belt, then put it on. There! Much better!

  • Loved her since The Tudors, and joining the chorus of “I wish she’d go back to brunette!” Does anyone know anything about the shoes on the model? They are DARLING.

  • Pterodactyl111

She looks … crazy. Like there’s this glint in her eyes that’s scaring me.

  • MarissaLG

I can’t help but react negatively to her because she always plays such hateful characters (at least in things I’ve seen) but I’m sure she’s a lovely girl in real life. That said, I’m pro-belt but this is a very nice look.

  • Judy_S

I’m listening to her as Door on Neverwhere on BBC radio. So I am predisposed to like this. And I do. Not many people would look so good in that rather silly dress, but does.

    • Coolekat

      What is this?

      • Judy_S

Neverwhere is a story by Neal Gaiman about a subterranean world in London. It’s currently being dramatized as a radio play on BBC radio 4. If you’re interested, you can find the BBC website and listen. I think they have 3 parts of 6 up so far. Apparently Natalie D. has the female lead, James McAvoy the male.

  • MoHub

Butcher apron with folded napkin top!

  • at first glance i thought this was amanda seyfried.

  • libraangel

I like this on her, but she scares me

  • peachy

love it without the belt! she looks fantastic. and i swear i’d thought i’d NEVAH say this, but, that girl needs some damn botox on her upper lip. otherwise, anne boleyn never looked so fab in couture!

    • Chantelle James

She does look great in the dress. If she wanted to make her upper lips look less thin, she has options before going the trout mouth route: she could look at different makeup applications and ways of smiling that would make her lips look fuller. Personally, I admire her for keeping her lips natural.

  • I really like this dress, but it needs both the belt and shoes with some kind of ankle strap to balance things out (especially as Natalie seems to be a tad short-waisted). Otherwise – good choice. She’s unique looking; the dress suits her.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

I wish she were a brunette still.

  • She will always be Anne Boleyn to me. Always. But, except for the omission of the belt, I think she looks pretty great!

  • BookishBren

I have had such a girl crush on her since The Tudors.

  • librarygrrl64

I wish she had kept the belt, but I have no other complaints. She looks great!

  • kathrineb

Wow I barely recognized her with the blond hair. I think the dress is nice but she is much prettier as a brunette.
