I think she might be one of the only women in the world who can wear that dress and not look ridiculous. She looks so awesome here.

    • luciaphile

If I wore that it would look like I was wearing a picnic tablecloth – mourner’s version. She looks stunning.

      • http://twitter.com/purpleprose78 purpleprose78

         Me too.

  • gabbilevy

This collection has almost reached overplayed, but there’s no denying its fabulousity. And Bingbing is killing it.

Note to other ladystars: stop now. This collection is hereby off limits to you. You can’t compete with the Bingbing.

    • Annabelle Archer

      this

    • HomeOfficeGirl

Agreed – if you can’t do it like this, don’t do it.  Immaculate.

    • Reneesance

I agree, she’s making it look fresh and fabulous again, all the other lady stars need to bow out.

    • MissAnnieRN

I had the same thought:  Who knew this LV collection would become a mini-trend?  It’s so recognizable.  But agree that she is killing it here.  No one else should attempt it since no one else can compare.

      • Airkisses

This collection has made me think that when such striking collections come around, you really need to be one of the first ones to rock it. For me, this collection will always be Kristen Steward.

    • aeb1986

agreed, she looks fabulous but i’m SO over this outfit. Next.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=713709401 Randy Noak

I was just thinking the same thing. I feel like I’ve seen this dress 1,934 times, but as usual, she looks fierce.

      • H2olovngrl

        Hmmm… nope. Still love it.

  • Jessica Rowe

I love her. She is a fashion genius.

    • http://twitter.com/herong Heron

Right? Pushing up the sleeves. AMAZEBALLS.

    • http://twitter.com/vintagesewing Vtg Fashion Library

I want a Fan Bingbing doll that I can just dress up in her actual clothes.  It’d be so much more fun than Barbie.

  • imperfectlaura

I thought I was over this print from Louis Vuitton because of how much it has been used on the red carpet.  But in typical Fan fashion, she made me eat my words.

  • StellaZafella

Nobody say “photoshopped” because this isn’t. She’s just that perfect…get over it.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

I don’t think these have been hit with the photoshop curse.  And yeah, she really IS perfect.  Sheesh.

    • aeb1986

shes rocking some hair similar to january jones from yesterday too! (but i think it looks better on her)

  • siedhr

I love those gloves. I want those gloves.

    • 3boysful

I’ll donate my pair to you.  Ridiculous.

    • Jacqueline Wessel

Yes I want those gloves too. No more getting my bracelet stuck in my glove!!!

      • sk8tfan

Me want gloves. No practical use whatsoever. They must be triggering some kind of primal response in me.

        • ballerinawithagun

          Yes, the gloves!

  • theverysimong

GORGEOUS dress. And at £18,100, it’s a mammoth sequin fest!!! Love Bingbing!

    • HomeOfficeGirl

Is it sequins?? I never knew that.  In these pics there almost seem to be a….. furry texture?  Anyone seen a close up of the fabric?

    • http://www.sineaddoyle.com Sinead

Thank you! I was just staring at the images saying “Velvet, tiny sequins, some sort of shiny toweling or a print effect on satin.”
      I was hoping for sequins.

This is also such a fabulous look but a tad to costume-y with the hair for me to really, really love it.

      • foggywood

        Sequence?

        • andcoh

          Sequenced?

      • AnneElliot

I scrolled up to look more closely and I realized that dress has POCKETS!!!!  They are SO PERFECTLY MATCHED, they blend in.  Flawless.

Personally, I love everything but the gloves and the peep-toe platforms (when will this trend die?), but who am I to quibble?  I bow down.

      • H2olovngrl

I don’t know my fabrics, but it looks like that stuff that is really soft and shiny when you brush it one way, and is stiff and matte when you try to brush it the other way. Makes it seem warmer and cozier to me.

  • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

    Costumey but adorable.

  • Cynica

I’m having a “That Girl!” moment. Fabulous!!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=571205045 Kent Roby

Yes, she’s got some vintage-Marlo-at-the-racetrack realness going on!  I still have no idea who this creature is, or what she’s done, but she is (to quote Rach) “everything”!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=14301272 Kate Gorton

    WANT. THOSE. GLOVES.

  • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Sheer Perfection.  Dayum can that woman wear clothes.  And whoever her hair and makeup people are, they deserve bonuses.

  • Annabelle Archer

    WERQ

    • homofascist

      Total WERQ

  • IMNAngryLiberal

I must be feeling really cranky this morning because, while I actually kind of liked this Louis Vuitton collection, I hate the hair, shoes, purse, and most especially those stupid fingertip gloves.  Just STOP with them already!!

  • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

    Love the “That Girl” hair.

  • andcoh

I see Bond girl who is actually the evil villain too.  God, she’s fab.

    • Monday1900

I would SO watch that!  Movie gods, make it so!

    • theafternoonknows

I had the exact same thought! That Girl as Bond Villain.

  • http://twitter.com/NMMagpie NMMagpie

    Smokin’. Straight up smokin’.

  • SewingSiren

Perfect. But how in the devil does she walk on those cobblestones with those shoes? How I ask, how?

    • http://twitter.com/urban_gypsy Tess Danesi

I’ve nearly broken my ankle on the few cobblestones I had the misfortune of tripping over in NY. Heels, especially platforms, and cobblestones do not mix. I presume she has handlers that make sure she doesn’t face plant. I know I would!

    • rajf

She has a opulent, possibly rococo palanquin of course. It’s just out of range to the right. Any guesses about the livery her porters are wearing?

      • AnneElliot

I bow before your usage of “palanquin.”

    • SugarSnap108

She glides above the earth we mere mortals tread.

  • greyhoundgirl

Total late 60s-early70s made modern.  Who else could rock this? No one?

  • Kyle Crawford

Diamonds, Daisies, Snowflakes….. ( not that there is anything wrong with it )

  • http://www.snoskred.org/ Snoskred

Is this a Sparkly version of Jackie O?

If yes, needs a bit more sparkle. Perhaps some Swarovski on the headband fascinator.. :)

    • MilaXX

the band part of the headband is crystals of some sort.

      • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

I think it’s very fine sequins.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000088447181 Sam Smith

I’m a big “Fan” of this dress, but I don’t like the platforms with it and I’d prefer a shorter length.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/BJTY6KY7LOR7MDOD6QCZUC3VVI Donna Tabor

Thank you. I like the shoes on the models better than the ones Bing Bing is wearing.

  • CPK1

she is otherworldly. Amazing. Love love love

  • http://twitter.com/urban_gypsy Tess Danesi

The hair, the little purse, those half gloves…Fan BingBing is a pure creature of fashion. Perfection.

  • Tatiana Luján

I like everything but the shoes, which I hate.
    She looks adorable.

  • Alyssa

Totally love this look! I’ve always liked this collection, and she has to be the person who’s worn it best! The hair & accessories are fabulous (spoken as a non-fan of the gloves, but they work here). This is a total WERQ for me!

    • l_c_ann

Take the bow off the head band and the pockets on the dress.  Then total.

      • Alyssa

Wow, I didn’t really notice the pockets…let alone that there are 4!

  • mjude

holy crap!  bowing down so damn fast i cant help myself.  still want a bingbing doll.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Me too!  When are they going to start making them?

  • Jangle57

Am I the only one who wishes it was more like a mini-dress?  Perhaps it’s just my 60s/That Girl roots showing because for as fabulous as she looks, I was a bit disappointed when I saw how long the length was.

    • Qitkat

Great point. And love the shoutout to That Girl. I wanted to be her. Still love, and admire Marlo Thomas.

    • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

I might like this better as a mini-dress. It’s just far too much of that checkerboard fabric for me as it is.

  • http://twitter.com/SillyGrrlJen Silly Grrl

That isn’t even fair how fucking cute that is. Not fair. I should just stop trying to be fashionable.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100005071442179 Star Foster

That whole half-a-glove thing is starting to grow on me…

  • MilaXX

    That Girl! realness ftw

    • mjude

      omg YES!

  • miagain

    my moment of Bingbing…. smile

  • Qitkat

Aside from the awesomeness that is Fan Bingbing, let’s take a moment to admire how perfectly placed those pockets are on her dress. PR designers, take note, this is how you match patterns. Le bon Dieu est dans le détail.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VZLU6YVO4BRTELTTH3GRAAMWZQ Dot

I am bowing down. She looks fucking fabulous — even with those weird half-glove things on her hands. I love being able to see the texture on this dress. Really stunning.

  • margaret meyers

    is that velour?

  • urbanamish

practical question…how does she attend the LV show and know that everyone else isn’t wearing this ?  given that this (amazing) ensemble has been seen everywhere…i imagine this show had an entire audience in checkerboard.

  • jilly_d

*gets out of chair, softly weeping, and starts a slow clap*

  • fungstyle

While I revere the power of the BingBing, I think a stronger lip was called for here.

  • AnaRoW

    She looks great.

With that out of the way, what has she done?  I can’t find any movies I’ve seen or heard of and I can tell I’m going to start finding her irritating because she seems to be little more than a red carpet muse (like Von Teese).

    • Becca Cleary

I don’t know about Fan, but Von Teese is ~the~ burlesque dancer.

    • Tianran Yin

       Hi AnaRoW : )
I’m a movie fan of Fan so I can tell you something about her career! You haven’t seen her in any movies because she’s only been in Chinese movies…she’s still working hard on English.
Despite of this, she’s HUGE is Asia. She’s an actress, singer and producer, winner of Best Actress of Tokyo International FIlm Festival and a lot of Chinese flim awards like Golden Horse Film Festival best actress and the Hundred Flowers Awards best actress…
Good news is that she’s now working with Bill Mechanics on a movie called The Moon and The Sun, which is likely to come out next year : )

  • http://remedialstitcher.blogspot.com/ Sara Leigh Merrey

I’m really not fond of these checkerboard designs. I don’t find them flattering on anyone. They’re too boxy.

  • kimmeister

I love every. single. dang. thing about this look.  I normally hate big platforms, but they totally work here.  She is the first person I’ve seen wear those half gloves in real life, and they inexplicably work on her.

  • kschwarting

She looks great in the dress, but I’d like to see her rock the look on the right with the black top and skirt.

If ladystars are going to continue to wear this collection, I’d far rather see these looks than the ones with the clear panels.

  • librarygrrl64

I remain convinced that she can make anything look good. Damn her. ;-)

  • Pants_are_a_must

She’s like a chessboard of awesome. And rocking the bouffant way better than January Jones.

  • Caaro3

    That Girl!

  • http://www.facebook.com/robin.layton Robin D. Layton

    Miss Lady looks great.

  • http://twitter.com/watchinginkdry Krysta

The half-gloves are stupid, but I understand why she added ‘em: they and the platforms on the shoes are the only edge in what could be a WAY twee outfit.  Particularly given her hair style.

    • judybrowni

I get finger-less gloves (on people who work outdoors, for one), but glove-less fingers?!!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

She is the clear winner of who can pull off this collection the best. BUT NO MORE, PLEASE. I think we’ve seen most of this LV collection on the starlets.

  • ojosazules

I hear a fat lady singing. Bing Bing has brought the curtain down on this dress. Bravo!

  • another_laura

I’m not adding anything new but dang it, girl can wear a dress and accessorize it.

  • PeggyOC

Can we just start calling her “Fab” BingBing?

  • http://twitter.com/lisledanielle Danielle Lisle

The only woman in the world who can rock checkerboard.

  • teensmom99

Not loving it.  She looks like she was swallowed by the dress.  Hate to be negative on a Bing Bing sighting.

  • annrr

That dress was made for her. Stunning.

  • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

Major Annette Funicello flashback with that hairdo!

  • AgingWell

60 yr old hetero woman here, and I did the gay gasp.

  • shawnhunter

love everything except the shoes. god, how does she do it???

  • mhleta

La Bing and this look were meant to be together, though I don’t think the cobblestones and those shoes will ever be great friends. This goes in the TLo coffee table book of Fabulosity. (You are writing a book, aren’t you?)

  • decormaven

    This. Is. Perfection. Bravissima!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1401197785 Jennifer Peters-Ahnberg

And when you hear the thunk, that’s me falling over from fabulous overload.

No one else should wear anything from that collection ever again. Bingbing owns it.

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

    My lord, I LOVE her.

  • Trisha26

The overall look is gorge, totally appropriate for the venue, but I can’t accept that plush-towel fabric.

  • BrooklynBomber

I’m so sick of this collection, but I have to say this is the best I’ve seen it look.

  • http://www.facebook.com/kanewatkins Kane Watkins

Miss Fan’s given name, 冰冰 – Bīngbing, is the character for “ice” repeated (which is often done to make a word endearing or softer), and she is absolutely ice-cold fierceness.

    Let Paris have it, Ice-ette!

  • ConnieBV

Seriously, that statement should be on her voicemail.

  • SugarSnap108

I don’t even like this dress, yet I think she looks like a work of art.

  • snarkykitten

    January Jones: take note.

  • frannyprof

    I love her.

  • RedRaven617

I can’t help but wonder if this is what Cat Deeley thought she looked like in the Michael Kors outfit? This is how you do lots of big bold pattern.

  • Scott Isaacs

So adorable. How can you not love? She looks like Carnaby Street royalty. I doff my hat and genuflect.

  • LaSylphide

OMG, that hairdo brings back memories. Fabulous look overall, and love the funny gloves.

  • peachy

love love love the bag! the dress is ok — kind over the whole LV checkerboard thing though — but it seems a bit long for her. although the runway shows the same length, it seems awkward looking to me. the shoes are ok, the gloves are… odd, and the hair is totes chic.

  • ankali

    Sublime. Love the tiny gloves.

  • jmorino08

    She is other-worldly!

  • butterflysunita

Too fabulous.  Bingbing in Louis Vuitton in Paris.  Doesn’t get better than that.

  • leave_Blake_alone

This collection may have been worn to death, but I still give this a 10 out of 10. This is PERFECT. Love the ridiculous little gloves. Will probably be one of my favorite looks of 2013.

  • Imasewsure

Loved this collection at first, and second and tenth, etc. Even this beautiful re-working can’t raise the dead for me.

  • nannypoo

    She is fabulous as always.

  • crash1212

Guess she’s beyond WERQ…she’s a who ‘nother category. Fabulous.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

    Diamonds, Daisies, Snowflakes,That Girl!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1068196250 Lesa Adalian

She has to be the only women in the world that can wear half gloves and look demure.

  • libraangel

Normally I hate checkerboard patterns, but not on our fab Fan!

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

    Flawless.

  • Eileen Mannion

Is she channeling Mary Tyler More? Or is it Ann Marie from That Girl?

  • MoHub

Gotta admit. I was getting seriously tired of this collection until I saw this.

  • marilyn

I assume she is considered an important up and coming actress, because she is being dressed much older than she is.  They are going for Grace Kelly elegance.  She is not that beautiful, but that is not what they are selling.  She is interesting, totally packaged, and seems destined for acclaim. I have never seen any of her work, but I assume she is very important somewhere.

By the way, the dress she is wearing is beautifully made.  It has pockets on the front, and they are so carefully matched that you really cannot see them from a distance.

  • PeaceBang

Is there a Fan Bing Bing feed I can subscribe to so I can get Daily Bing Bing? It makes life so much more beautiful. This is just beyond, as per usual. I don’t think she’s real.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_F73LIJ3SJGI5AJQMXMWXCKILHI Pamela

What’s the point of half a glove?  Ridiculous is right.

  • NDC_IPCentral

Those in the Fan Bingbing camp clearly are Fan Bingbing Fans.

  • Zippypie

The category beyond WERQ is BINGBING.

  • warnerave

i feel the urge to play CHESS

  • Anniebet

For me there’s always a precious and affected component in BB’s styling, especially her face, that is offputting. She used to be stunning. Now she’s just so, I dunno…Hello Kitty cute?

  • kikisayshi

    I love this gal.

  • http://twitter.com/lareveuse lareveuse

DING DING DING!!! Winner: Bing Bing. (Come on, someone had to.)

  • KittieLynnNYC

Who knew Fan Bingbing was a ska chick; all she needs is a Vespa parked next to her. Seriously though, not many people could pull this off, but she looks awesome. And I cannot say this enough…with a name as epic and fabulous as FAN BINGBING, you can pretty much do whatever you want!!!

  • pookiesmom

    No WERQ for the Bing?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001998855370 Fatima Siddique

All her outfits are too literal for me. Not a fan.

  • http://twitter.com/JaniceMSmith joy peace

    Horribly UGLY …

  • http://twitter.com/jalae Janey

The reason for her fashionista success in my opinion is she NEVER half asses anything. She makes sure (or her stylist) that everything is immaculate and fitted with all her accessories hair and makeup. I’m sick of that print but she looks so amazing

  • Crystal

    LOVE. HER.

  • H2olovngrl

    Perfect.

  • http://twitter.com/amndad amanda lynn

who is this girl?  i love her.

  • Super_Red

    how is she so fabulous?

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/KXAWORDTX3DNEF3DZMPU5JCGV4 Annie

    She is just pure perfection.

  • boweryboy

    My partner’s words exacty:  “Ok… I’m a bit jealous.”

I love this look.  Hate the shoes.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

WOW, Bingbing is like the Asian Audrey Hepburn in style.  She never never misses.

  • DesertDweller79

I cannot believe how popular this Louis Vuitton collection has been.  I feel like we’ve seen every dress in it on the red carpet.  In every color.

Still, Fan Bingbing just outdid all those previous attempts.  Wow!  She’s amazing.

  • ccm800

    Werq, bow down, etc…

  • Frank Lithium

    Snaps, snaps everywhere.

  • http://cheekypinky.wordpress.com cheekypinky

    *choirs of Mod angels*

  • Gaia

I seriously think T-Lo overpraises Bingbing for everything she wears. Her expression always look plastic to me, and her beauty is nothing special. Maybe the latter is because I’m Asian, so I’m used to seeing faces like that. But the former holds.
