      That dress is on crack.

      • zenobar

And as we all know: Crack is Whack.

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

      GOOD LORD NO!!!!!!!
Take that dress off instantly, and burn it in front of the insane person who designed it. ( but save those shoes, cuz they kinda seriously rock.)

      • poggi

I kind of like the shoes too. But she has worn them with this memorable monstrosity. Can she deploy them again?

        • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

With either skinny pants, or a flirty skirted dress, that is dead simple.

          • poggi

Shoot. I hit the stupid down comment accidentally when I meant to hit reply (oh good, I fixed it). hate IPads. Yes, that would look so much better. But I fear she has wasted these memorable shoes on this mess. Perhaps some other lady star is taking note and can one-up Kruger.

      • http://www.facebook.com/darva.sutra Darva Sutra

I unreservedly LOVE the shoes! Wish I had an extra thousand laying around to snap them up. They’d rock my summer, robotic fantastic!

      • Vlasta Bubinka

        Dangle, big earring!
        Smockron smapron lace delight
        WOW shoes kick yo ass.

        • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

          Slick haired blonde Gurl
          Torch douchey frankendress now
          I keep your cool shooz

        • libraangel

Sorry, I like you, but I am so over the KUs

    • BrooklynBomber

Sorry, Thakoon: we know a Frankendress when we see one.

    • jackiexx

woah, i think thats too much going on for even ms. kruger to work…

    • Sobaika

Nope. I used to think she could wear anything.

    • charlotte

Nope. Saoirse takes this round. Although Diane’s too-flat-on-top hair still looks better than Saoirse’s (I never thought I’d say that).

    • lehen

      i get that she’s a fashionista and all, but that’s a lot of side-boob.

    • zenobar

There’s a snag/hole right above the waistline, on the right side of her body. It’s the unspoken hazard of those sheer panels.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=49702581 Susan Bullard Mayer

All I can see is really white side boob. No, no, no.

    • Mismarker

Side boob shrouded in black lace is still side boob. Keep it classy, Kruger.

      • Vlasta Bubinka

side boob is inevitable in an apron…. and the lace brings the class. (you should read that with sarcasm-voice, I think this frock is a schmatte.)

    • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

I love it until the sheer panel on the front of the dress. That’s right, I like the deployment of side boob, but I don’t like the flash of thigh. It’s a conundrum, but there it is.

      • dschubba

I’m with you. The mullet hem and the polka-dot beading is what’s ruining this for me.

        • http://dontmakeitlikeimdumb.blogspot.com/ annabelle archer

Oh god! I didn’t even SEE the mullet hem. I really am bewitched buy Ms. Kruger. She has blinded me with science.

    • Anniebet

The shoes and earrings are nearly a whole outfit by themselves. A plain black shift would be all that’s necessary.

    • gabbilevy

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Jessica-TallGirl-Freeman/1043623567 Jessica TallGirl Freeman

Friggin lace, illusion netting, see-through/cut out dresses. STOP IT. Next trend, please.

    • rissa42210

It’s not doing anything for me. It looks like too much.

    • http://twitter.com/thejesssicashow Jessica Crowl

I think she’s fucking flawless, head to toe. I forgive the side boob.

    • BuffaloBarbara

Aagh. When is sheer ending? So over it. Okay, I was never under it. But really over it.

      • DeborahJozayt

Lets just go straight through it with scissors and fire. Rambo-style.

    • Imasewsure

Hate the dress but love the shoes on her for some reason. Think I would love the earrings and the shoes with something simpler… maybe that burgundy column dress from our earlier post!

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Lovely earrings. But the rest – no. I think I dislike plastered back hair as much as mermaid hair.

    • Deb Oswald

I don’t so mind the dress, but can’t get past her flat as can be hair. It looks like she has a shrunken head!!

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Inês-Martins/100000345906318 Inês Martins

Tourette syndrome for me…..! arg horrible all together!

    • schadenfreudelicious

even Diane can fail at her attempt to cram too many trends into one outfit…

    • kmk05

How is it possible that this dress is making her look broad? SHE IS SO FREAKING TINY. The shoes clash with the dress too. Definitely an OUT for me.

    • roadtrip1000

Desperation on a platter. “Here. Look at me! I’m wearing sheer panels and my side-boobs are exposed!” The fact that her make-up is flawless and the earrings are beautiful just makes it more tragic.

    • Indigo54

This is a first eliminated look from Project Runway. Nina refused to even comment on it.

    • susan6

Everything above the neck is flawless. The dress and shoes are wacktastic individually and even worse when together.

    • poggi

Economists would be proud. Diane clearly has a comparative advantage here (while it doesn’t look good, it looks better on her than it would on anybody else).

    • EEKstl

I know intellectually I should hate this…but I just don’t. I love the whole thing. Go figure.

    • jilly_d

That is possibly the worst RC hair I’ve ever seen.

    • PastryGoddess

What is it with ladies and scrolldown fug today. Those shoes are great…with another dress

    • Sara__B

Love the shoes and the earrings, but HATE the tacky dress.

    • filmcricket

Love the shoes, but they don’t go with the dress. And the dress really bad.

    • Alyssa

I don’t care for the sideboob or the dress.. Makeup is gorge, and I’ll take the earrings when she’s done with them.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

Nothing from the neck down is doing anything for me. Her hair and makeup look great (except for that lipstick), and I love the earrings. The rest? MEH.

    • lrober03

I could almost tolerate the sheer side panels until I saw that they ended up on the front of the dress. That brought it way down for me.

    • hotpaprika

This dress would look slutty on someone else but she doesn’t lose her class. She’s gifted! It’s an ugly dress by the way. Dear God, what if a Kardashian wore this dress?

    • Carly Warnock

Why did those shoes have to be deployed? Barf. Otherwise I love it. She is so badass looking in it despite the sheer panels.

    • http://twitter.com/janedonuts Jane Donuts

I think it’s risky and sharp and crazy fabulous. I generally hate the sheer lace thing that is happening (like that HORRIBLE getup Jessica Biel wore the other day), but this is so precise and well-executed that I like it. She looks different and impeccable.

    • kimmeister

What kills me about the sheer side panels is that they’re on a full skirt. One gust of wind could nudge it to one side and her hooha would be on full display.

    • ConnieBV

I kind of love this, except for the earrings. Strangely the earrings killed it for me.

      • http://twitter.com/MindsMelding Anya&Paul

I actually don’t hate it either and I think it would be better sans earrings.

    • MilaXX

LOVE the hair/makeup, especially the face, the dress is as okay as an “I’m not wearing any underwear” dress can be, hate the shoe.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/37TPKASIMXVUPYK5BNQFOL43KU Carina

      *bowing down*

    • Hetha Innis

Keep the shoes and nothing else.

    • kirkyo

I think it’s gorgeous and right in her wheelhouse. And, apparently, polarizing.

    • Nonmercisansfacon

The only thing I want here are the earrings!

    • libraangel

My goodness, this little Fraulein gets around! Nothing else to say about this dress but hate

    • ankali

That dress looks like what someone who really admired her style but wasn’t all that talented would come up with if you asked him to design something for Diane Krueger.

I was WILD about those shoes when I thought they were metallic turquoise, less so when I realized they were just reflecting the color of the carpet. They’re still pretty fierce, though.

    • erinbinek

Hate the earrings, hate the shoes. Also, if she leans back any more, she’ll keel over.

    • Erica_Vuitton

That headshot is the definition of stunning but the the look as a whole is just off. The earrings are to fancy for the dress, too many sheer panels and the chrome perforated shoes (as noted below) reflect the green carpet making them appear to be almost teal with tiny white polka dots.

    • lizajane1776

      No dancing in that dress!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=571205045 Kent Roby

She obviously stole this dress from Chloe Sevigny, but the shoes and earrings are everything. Totally maje.

    • Sally Brownson

It’s AMAZING how close she is to making that ugly thing work. Fierce shoes, great makeup and hair… she might’ve managed to pull this off with just the sheer side panels, but with the sheer panel at the bottom of the skirt, it just isn’t pretty.

    • crash1212

Ghastly dress. Just SO ugly. Nothing about it is good. Nothing. Burn it, baby. Can’t unsee.

    • Louise Bryan

      Earrings to die for
      A dress that raises eyebrows
      Silver peep-toes yawns

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=571205045 Kent Roby

Sheer has been so overdone, we are mere minutes away from seeing full vag on the runways, mark my words!

    • oohsparkley!

The dress is awful, but she still looks great. And I love the shoes!

    • http://twitter.com/ndpndntfilm Susan Velazquez

Those shoes belong with a different outfit. The only thing I loved was from the neck up. I thought she was supposed to be this fashionista?

    • libraangel

Broken record me: why does this new format not go time-wise- first 8 hours, then 6, then 21 minutes, then 8 hours again?!
And why is Kiltdntiltd always near the top?!

    • gracedarling

Divine! I think she can pull it off, and I must be immune to the sheer/lace/panel hate, as I genuinely love this dress.

    • Trisha26

Soft-core adult video awards, complete with bondage sandals. Love the earrings.

    • handknit

The dress looks like a tit curtain, and the model has Star Trek hair. Weird all around.

    • jw_ny

      hate everything…head to toe!

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=535548244 Kim Baker Vidas Davey-Irvin

no. but the make-up is fabulous.

    • mila_8

Dressing for a twee sci fi premier, I think she knocked it out of the park.

    • bd73

amazing footwear, but not one of her best dresses.

    • guest2visits

Love the shoes, the jewelry, the hair-style. Hate what they did to the beautiful fabric with those stupid looking cutouts.

    • jetpackdino

Two strikes in a row for Diane. I’m starting to become concerned.

    • formerlyAnon

No. The sheer portions throw the proportions off from most angles. A tragic waste of lovely fabric.

    • kathrineb

      Just no.

    • http://twitter.com/aaa_1188 Joanna Wong

she has a huge forehead and flat top, so it kind of square top, and ppl with this kind of head should never wear their hair this tight and this flat, I know, cos I have the same top…. agree on the off proportions, so again, no, love to look a the shoes alone, but not with the dress, so no…. the only thing I love are those ear rings.

    • notterriblybitter

Diane, I love most of your fashion choices and have defended some that were questionable but this is too much. The shoes and the earrings are gorgeous though.

    • marilyn

That is more of a costume than a dress. The shoes and earrings fight with the dress for attention. What a mess.

    • http://www.lippsisters.com/ Deborah Lipp

Please, Santa, send me those earrings.

    • Jessica O’Connell

I’m really sick of the “Lookit, I’m not wearing underwear!! Therefore I’m super sexy!” dresses. Make it STOP.
