I’m disappointed, I got all excited because I thought the red was a star…she looks good though

    • Qitkat

A star would have been interesting. I don’t love this dress, but it shows way more creative design in color blocking than anything Richard has done on PR.

  • So close. Why is this not working? Is it the hair? The random clutch? Something is off.

    • MilaXX

yeah just doesn’t work for some reason

    • Sara__B

If it were a bit looser, with different shoes and hair, it just might work.

    • sweetestsith

I think she needs another spot of red (in shoes, nails, or lips, possibly a combo) as well as different shoes. The hair is ok, and the dress looks great on her. It just looks slightly undone as is, like she’s trying it on and not quite ready to go.

    • It’s the shoes. They kill this look for me.

  • Sara

Wow. I feel like that dress is unflattering even on the model. Moderately interesting from the side, but unflattering overall.

  • MilaXX

She looks okay, just not crazy about it on her. Maybe it’s the hair. I think I could like it with her hair down.

  • Love it from the side. That’s about it.

    • conniemd

Yeah, I think that’s the issue. Too much of the red is on the side and doesn’t show from the front, so the tiny bits of red up top look lost in the sea of white. You see more of the red when the model is moving on the runway.

  • a_liking

the side of the dress looks like an open wound. also, needs more face & attitude.

  • halleygee

If it was cut short, it would look like a tennis dress. I think it looks too sporty.. or something.

  • I thought she was wearing a Slim Goodbody suit in the thumbnail! Cool concept for a dress, just maybe not in that colorway.

  • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

I am thinking this dress would be less unsettling if it were a different color – like a blue? a purple? Something less evocative of blood?

    • Vlasta Bubinka

yes! This is exactly the dress in my extra heavy months, when it is so bad that I menstruate out of my armpits too! (c’mon… who among us ladylanders hasn’t had that????)

      • PastryGoddess

ugh…I just got a flashback to January

        • Vlasta Bubinka

last month for me… see we’ve ALL BT, DT

    • i think that’s the point of it.

  • scrappy1

Hair is too severe. Shoes don’t quite go. Clutch REALLY doesn’t go. Like the dress and it fits her well. Makeup is good.

    • Lisa_Cop

Shoes are too clunky and don’t fit (too big).

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

The hair is too severe for the light makeup. But she’s got the body for that dress.

  • Monabel

I think her hair looks wonderful.

  • PastryGoddess

I’m on the fence. I like the dress, I like the shoes. I don’t know if I like them together.
    Am I weird?

    • DeborahJozayt

I don’t think you are! I hate that the whites don’t match and the shoes detract from the dress.

    • Alyssa

I agree…I like both but not together.

  • what is with all the chunky clunky heels lately? yuck.

  • Pretty! <3 Robin Sparkles for life.

  • It’s really similar to the uniform my beautician wears.

  • Shoes are HIDDY.

  • crash1212

Love the dress, hate the shoes.

    • gabbilevy

The dress says Rich Bitch, the shoes say Rich Grandma.

    • drdarke

Yeah, dress is kind of awesome, really – shoes do her legs no favors.

As a straight guy into legs, those shoes make Cobie Smulders’ feet and legs look ugly….

  • jetpackdino

I think she looks nice. The clutch is not great, and wonder what other shoes might have done to help… But I like it overall. The dress has a bit of a “star trek” vibe that I dig! 😀

  • sisterb67

The shoes are so clunky – if the back was a delicate/streamlined as the front strap (what is with those weird “heel bumper” things?), they MIGHT have been okay even with the thick heel. She’s got a killer figure and this dress really works for her, I’d love to see it in black/white rather than red/white.

  • EEKstl

Dress is cute, from the side the shoes look as if they are at least 2 sizes too big for her. Pet Peeve Alert!!

    • sisterb67

Seriously, what is that? It drives me bazoo when the shoes are so obviously the wrong size – and it’s not even like they’re a tiny bit too big because of being an in-between shoe size, they’re at least a size or more too large!

  • kimmeister

The dress is fab, her hair is terrible. From afar it looks like she hacked it off.

  • Zippypie

So sorry she was lying in a pool of blood prior to stepping onto the carpet. Bummer.

  • nannypoo

Not flattering, ugly shoes, bad hair.

    • Kristin McNamara

TERRIBLE hair. I can’t believe I had to scroll down this far to see a single comment about how atrocious that hair is. From straight on (like in the first and last pics) she looks like a brunette Ron Burgundy.
70’s man hair and sideburns = not something to shoot for on a red carpet.

  • urbanamish

    those shoes are amazingly bad.

  • SewingSiren

White shoes are having a moment.

  • JanieS

Girl, That Is Not Your Hairstyle.

  • it looks like a costumers idea of a futuristic flight attendant getout… horrible shoe choice.

  • MzzPants

Those shoes look like parole cuffs and the clutch is bland. But I’m in LUV with that dress.

  • libraangel

I think I have been looking at this website too long, because I think I like the whole damn thing

  • maggiemaybe

That dress is so fabulous! Why did she ruin it with those hideous shoes!?

  • RL McGruder

    I really love that dress.

Side note: WTH are the Norma Jean awards???!!

  • procrastinatrice

Cobie is a hottie, and she has looked much better than this. Hair is messy and aging, and she can summon more attitude than this in her sleep, dunno what happened here. The dress and shoes are fine. Not great but fine.

  • Trisha26

Love the dress, hate the shoes. She really went for the understated makeup, didn’t she?

  • bd73

only charlize could make those shoes look good

  • unpious

I like it from the side as well. From the front it looks a little severe, I think it would be better with her hair down or with a slightly more open neckline to soften that effect. Nothing but hatred for the shoes. Hatred from the depths of my soul.

  • princessricky

is it bad that i was relieved the side wasn’t another sheer panel?

    • lovelyivy

Nope, because that sounds like a dres we already see in one out of every three “Girl That’s Not Your Dress” posts!

  • hailtree

The dress just screams crazy nurse to me. Out.

I remember an actress saying, “I never attend the First Annual anything.”

    • well, when it’s for little kids, it’s probably hard to not go

  • Love the dress, hate the shoes. Too much white in the front view and thick ankle straps and boxy heels look good on no one. Shoulda gone with red shoes. Clutch is forgettable.

  • I think that when you look like you stepped off the operating table before being sewn up…maybe its a no on the dress.

  • I like the dress, but the shoes are killing me. What’s with the orthopedic shoe trend all of a sudden?

  • That hair + those earrings = bad. Looks like she’s got big old sideburns. Wear the hair down, with different earrings, and maybe not white shoes. Great dress and gorgeous woman though.

  • khh1138

I feel like I’ve seen Joanna Coles in this dress. Which, when you think about it, is not a bad safeguard rule-of-thumb when picking an outfit.

  • marilyn

The dress is the length it needs to be, but she is too short to wear it. Too bad.

  • mhleta

I hate the shoes from the side, AND they don’t fit, but otherwise, a smash.

  • formerlyAnon

There’s something about the neck. High is right, but maybe not quite that high? Or maybe a different shape. I’m feeling a Nehru collar, I think. The interior faced in the red.

  • lobsterlen

This white shoe trend is a curse!
What we have done to anger the shoe gods.

  • Susan Collier

That’s some press release for her outfit. Love the dress; the rest passes unnoticed.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

Love the dress AND Love the shoes!
Oooo… and I LOVE THE TOGETHER.

  • librarygrrl64

Love the dress, HATE the shoes.
