I’ll throw my hat in the ring – I actually kind of like this.

    • Tatiana Luján

I like the top half and I would like the whole look if the black mini were floor lenght.

      • NC_Meg

I was thinking the exact same thing. If it was just a solid black bottom, I’d love it.

      • My thoughts exactly.

  • wisenhar

OMG, is that literally undergarment she’s showing us?

    • DeborahJozayt

This made me look up who the Braless lady was on Seinfeld. Lea Michelle is now Sue Ellen Mischke.

    • LLuL

       I like the practicality.

    •  Yes but at least she chose to wear an undergarment, even if it’s showing, rather than showing half her damn body like the runway version.

      • CT14

I had to look at the runway version 2ce. I thought it was a zipper through a pink top. Then I realized it was a necklace, and I began straining for any sight of where her boobs are! No boobs.

I can never wear garments designed for no boobs, no matter if they are cute or fug. I’m now delighted Lea decided to wear undergarments.

  • ChiliP

Lea, Lea, Lea. I try to defend you when people say “of course”….why you gotta do this to me? I’m not sure if the added lace panel makes the dress look more or less vulgar.

    • More, in my opinion.

      • butterflysunita

While the original dress is pretty bad, it’s at least interesting, especially with the silver necklace.  Lea’s addition of black lace gives her a Merry Widow kind of look.  It’s really awful.

    • lindsmh

I was trying to figure out the same thing. It gives her an excuse to make the gap between the two black panels wider, but at least there’s no side-boob.

      • ChiliP

Exactly- why is the panel so much wider on her than the model? I’m not exactly prudish about showing skin and cleavage, but I keep staring at her chest and wondering how I’m not seeing her nipples. Plus I’m not really a fan of the “please meet my bra” style of clothing.

    • Rebecca Damsen

More. That was my first thought in comparing the two – the lace “discretion panel” makes it look cheaper and more vulgar.

    • barbarienne

More. If one is going to show undergarments, then it needs to look deliberate and committed. This just looks as if she said, “Okay, I’ve got my bra, let’s put on the dress… Wow, you can totally see my bra. Oh, well.”

If it were solid instead of lace, this would be fine. If she wanted contrast, a color could have been interesting.

  • Sobaika

Surprisingly, she looks really good! It’s a bit expected, but I love the back and she should get rid of the cocker spaniel hair more often.

    • Tatiana Luján

      her hair looks great here.

  • jmorino08

    of course

  • meowing

Practically a nun’s habit for her.  Not bad atall.

  • charlotte

Not an “of course”, but still a bit tacky in the bust area. Baby steps!

    • Sobaika

But that’s just it, she is usually very tacky from top to bottom. This is big step up!

  • No thank you to the visible undergarment.  Which may not actually be an undergarment, but it sure looks like one.

    • iheartbuffy

      “Like a Virgin” style undergarment.

  • margaret meyers

It’s exactly the kind of dress that  w o u l d  catch her eye. I’m just pleased she had the sense to add the foundation garment… which I think looks sexy here and works.

  • C.

    Who’s going to say it?

    • BrooklynBomber

      It’s been said. Scroll down.

    • DeebaCee

      Of course

  • In_Stitches

Well, her hair is gorgeous again.  That’s a plus.  The dress isn’t bad per se, it’s flattering, if not stylish, tasteful or exciting.  Were it an in or out, I’d have to let her slide IN.

  • Of course.

  • maybe if the corset was completly black! love her

  • For our dear Lea this is practically nun-like in its modesty. Still,…nope. Can’t sign off on this.

  • BrooklynBomber

    Oh, God help us.

  • CaseyinNY

I’m not a huge fan of the dress, but I HATE the hair.

  • SewingSiren

    Sexy pinafore?

  • StellaZafella

Madge wore it in the 80’s…when it was edgy.

    • iheartbuffy

    • 3boysful

So true . . . but to me, this has a whiff of one of those peignoir sets women in old movies used to wear when greeting hubby at the door with his martini.

  • AnnaleighBelle

She’s going to be so embarrassed when she sees herself in a window and realizes she forgot her shirt.

  • Huh. I usually hate bare chests & always hate visible underwear but this is kind of cute and flattering, though vulgar. I’d like it a lot without the back cut-out and with an opaque skirt. These two features add interest to the original dress but with the visible bra/corset/whatever it’s too much.

  • PeaceBang

    Of course.
That said, I like her necklace. There. I thought of something nice to say.

  • MilaXX

At least she added the corset(?) instead of being bare that the model, so yay! modesty?

    • formerlyAnon

I feel 180 years old saying this, but I’ve gotta: to what have we come that you say “modesty?” about this and I see the logic.

      • BrooklynBomber

It’s all too much. Is PR on tonight? I’ll see you in TLounge and buy you whatever liquid medication you need.

  • sablehunter

Her smiling and posing is usually BAM! but here it just looks awkward.

  • hughman

    Of porous.

  • Really? Oh, honestly…

  • Imasewsure

So pretty from the sternum up…. no comment on the rest

  • Judy_J

I’m surprised she didn’t go with the runway version, minus the necklace, of course.

  • I would have liked this on somebody else. As it is, on her, it looks forced and attention-whoring.

  • schadenfreudelicious

    i find it utterly underwhelming….

  • She looks silly trying to pull off the stare of La Lopez.  When she just relaxes and smiles she looks so much better.  As for the dress, hookertastic.

  • libraangel

Just as you feel about strapless dresses with thigh high slits, T&L , I am SOOOO over the mini/transparent maxi look!!!~I can’t stand even looking at it. And Lea – since when prudish – take the corset/bra off, dear.

  • alyce1213

There is too much going on that I just don’t care to see.

  • decormaven

Even though I am not personally fond of this design, I do believe in wearing the look as it was intended. Commit to the look- fully- or get another gown.

  • Janet B

I’m happy she didn’t wear it as shown on the runway.

  • lehen

really with the built-in, visible bra?  come on.

  • Adriana_Paula

The corset back fights with the dress back.  And no to the mini-under-sheer.

  • joancarol

    Hahahahahahahahahaha.  That is all.

  • iheartbuffy

Of Course. And Stringy Hair. Not a total OUT, but close. She could TRY to change it up a little. This is 80’s Madonna meets outlet Victoria’s Secret

  • carpediva

To paraphrase Bunny on SATC: “I don’t enjoy a mullet haircut, and I don’t enjoy a mullet dress.”

  • formerlyAnon

    God give me strength.

Is that her corset/long line bra we’re seeing?

Honey, celebrity red carpet habits notwithstanding, there IS such a thing as a dress cut too low and wide to be worn in public. That doesn’t mean you make sure to choose coordinating undies. You simply don’t wear the dress.

ETA: Not to mention that the lacy undergarment COMPLETELY ruins the lines and feel of the original. Which was kinda unwearable, but it had a certain look.

  • BP180

  • I honestly would have preferred it if she’d abandoned the basque and gone big on boob tape. But this just isn’t her dress – edgy is not really in her wheelhouse.

  • Bwin51

I like the original on the model better. The underwear brings a certain kind of vulgarity to it.

  • Diego!

Oh no, I can’t stand her!

  • l_c_ann

Is it time to play the game Hangman, and she just earned the V in vulgar?

  • MarissaLG

I think this is really, really pretty. It’s sexy (of course) but sweet and interesting.

  • hi, i’m lea, and i’d like you to see my breasts.  again.  and i apologize, i thought the bottom half would be more sheer so you could see my legs.  again.  oh well, don’t forget about my butt.  here it is.

  • Drew Macaulay

Breasts are a wonderful accessory to have; but like children they require letting go of certain things one would have enjoyed before their arrival.  Clearly, LM enjoys deploying her tatas, and they are lovely.  As worn by the flat-chested model, the dress is edgy and kind of cool (not my thing, but I get it in theory).  LM can’t work both the edginess of a such a plunging neckline and her gorgeous chest.  In an attempt to have it all, she looks ridiculous.

  • Carina Green

    Talk about meeeee

  • proud of her wearing a bralet!

    • LOL.  We are proud when she’s only showing off her lingerie!

  • Mazenderan

On the model, it has a kind of edgy sci-fi look to it.  With the bra insert and the coy bent leg posing, it looks like tacky curtains/lingerie.

  • snarkykitten

oh good christ. I’m done with this gal.

  • Trisha26

You know she wanted to wear this as shown on the model, but she also knew TLo would say “Of Course.” So, she stuck a bra/thing underneath and they put her on Whiteboard. It looks silly.

  • butterflysunita

Lea, why do you do this?  It’s like shooting fish in a barrel.

  • editrixie

    What the everloving fuck.

  • Coco Cornejo

    it’s prettier from the back.

  • lobsterlen

The view from the back is horrible. The bra thingy really ruined the lines of the dress.

  • warnerave

    it’s not that bad..

  • tallgirl1204

Props for showing less than usual!

  • jw_ny

    hahaha..tks for the laughs Lea!

  • Qitkat

There really aren’t any rules anymore, are there?

  • Zippypie

Of course.  Hooker chic, always brought to you by Lea Michele.

  • demidaemon

OH BOY. This is demure for her, but it still gives the urge to send her home and order her to try again.

  • wouldn’t mind it if the bottom wasn’t sheer.

  • upon re-looking at it, i see that she added the bustier.  i’m *really* ok with that!!

  • Despite every ounce of logic, I think she looks pretty hot here.

    I’m a little appalled by myself…

  • ankali

OK, now she’s just fucking with us.

  • FourPointOhMyGracious

    Of course.

  • It’s just… MEH.

  • Look, let’s just be glad that Heidi K isn’t wearing this. Because we know how that would have gone…

  • EEKstl

    Of course.

  • Alyssa

Makeup looks good. I’m so over sheer skirts, and don’t really care for the exposed bra.

  • ChaquitaPhilly

    How Silly!

  • Who says I wear too many sternum-baring dresses? I’m totally covered up!!

  • I was happily surprised that she wasn’t sexing it up as much as she used to…until I scrolled down to the last pic.

  • mmc2315

I was alright with it until the skirt.

  • cleep1000

    Morticia wants some sexy time!

  • peachy

if you’re too chicken to wear the dress as it was designed, DON’T FREAKIN WEAR IT. that corset thing looks like shiat. plus, i just can’t stand this self important starlet.

  • guest2visits

Not flattering because of the tackiness of the see through skirt; too many things going on – it doesn’t look very harmonious.
If this had an opaque skirt it would have length and flow.   omg; she’s doing the pose under the dress.

  • ccm800

    she has very nice teeth

  • kathrineb

It needs something but I’m not sure what it is.

    • kathrineb

edit: I prescribe a statement necklace and a visit to the hairdressers.

  • LambeeBaby

Cheap Halloween costume, better suited for Eva Longoria.

  • She is the reason I stopped watching Glee. Her sexpot lip pursing grates on me.
