    Yawn.
Which is a shame, because her face and hair are fabs.

  • http://www.facebook.com/bethanypurdue Bethany Mavronicles

    GORGEOUS.

  • Sobaika

Great hair/makeup, boring bridal looking dress, TERRIBLE SHOES FROM HADES.

    • HomeOfficeGirl

The shoes!!  Why?  Why?  They are so ugly.  I hate this trend.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Inês-Martins/100000345906318 Inês Martins

        same here…

        • fallen_ikon

Me too. I really don’t understand it. These actresses have so much money, and these are the shoes they wear? I understand that often times the things they wear in public are things they’ve been sent, but honestly..there are so many beautiful shoes out there that they could easily afford. Why wear horribly ugly ones?

    • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

Yes, it does appear she has cloven hooves.

    • mshesterp

I love the dress, and think it would’ve really popped with non-bridal accessories.  She’s so pretty.

WHY WOULD YOU WEAR THOSE ON YOUR FEET, JENNIFER.  You’re making me yell.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2P2ANLRZ6YAVGONA36I2AQJYGI VicD

I like it so much on the model – with the belt and bright orange shoes.  Oh well, another opportunity missed.

    • barbarienne

Yes, the very best that can be said about those shoes is that at least they’re not beige. But they’re only a couple of Pantone strips away.

  • ChaCha_70

A little boring and wrinkly but she looks sleek. Very pretty makeup. She looks fresh.

  • MmmmmmmmK

Ladies and gentlemen, the whitest woman in America…

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_F73LIJ3SJGI5AJQMXMWXCKILHI Pamela

      Including the Fanning sisters?

  • Rand Ortega

Trophy wife. Should’ve kept to the pop of color shoes for a little visual interest. Instead she’s just another arm ornament.

    • zuzu

Well, if she’s there for Ben and Argo, she kind of is an arm ornament.  I don’t recall if she directed Butter or just produced it, but it wasn’t up for any awards.

      • Rand Ortega

But she is a movie star. While I’m not saying she should upstage her husband, there should be movie star touches to the outfit. A belt &  shoes similar to the model’s would’ve been a nice touch.

    • filmcricket

Yes, my exact thought was “Hot Political Wife.” And then I was like, “Oh, but that’s what she’s doing right now, so…”

Too bad someone’s assistant didn’t bring a portable steamer.

  • Deac82

Wish she would have styled it like the model…so much more youthful with that chunky belt and bright shoes.

    • mshesterp

LOVE those shoes…they are so fun!  I love orange, and she would’ve looked great in something like those with her coloring.

    • Little_Olive

Yes in the belt, no on the (model’s) shoes.

The model is about to drop dead anyway, so it’s hard to love the look.

  • Laurie Bergman

    Express bride.

  • imperfectlaura

Everything from the neck up says, “Look at me. I’m a stunner.”
Everything from the neck down says, “Look at my husband.” and not in a good way (a la Stacy Keibler.)

  • Giustina Pileggi

she has such lovely strong shoulders <3 <3

  • Anne StJean

    Okay……so, I’m a little confused.
These women are all rich and have top fashion advisors at their disposal.
So why are their shoes always so tragically fugly?!

  • shnaggi

wrinkled washed out and worst of all BLAND

  • schadenfreudelicious

    satin peeptoe hooves…i just cant…

  • another_laura

I am SO OVER WHITE DRESSES.  And her hair is too formal for this, I think.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=579041922 August Galifi

overall gorgeous…though I am not sure what is going on, but the dress is making her look slightly linebacker in the shoulders.

  • stubbornthoughts

She looks wonderful! If you’re going to do a white dress and not be bridal, this is how to do it.

    I’m ignoring the shoes.

  • BrooklynBomber

Terrible: she’s not standing on X marks the spot!

  • http://profiles.google.com/scaponigro Sarah Caponigro

The shoes making the rounds are a joke right?

  • AuntieAnonny

    That makeup is horrible.

  • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

The only thing worse than beige satin platform pumps are open-toed beige satin platform pumps.

    The horror.

  • unbornfawn

White dresses all over the place in winter, big bulky sweaters all over the place in July. Come on people, dress for the season. The dress is fine. The hair is a lumpy mess.

  • Introspective

the top of the dress is an easter basket. the bottom is an office skirt in summertime. the combo makes for zero impact. the shoes throw it off the cliff.

a shame because she finally got her makeup right but its wasted on this look.

  • PastryGoddess

Those shoes….OMG those shoes are vile and disgusting

    The rest is a yawn

  • E. D.

Would be a WERQ, but those shoes are terrible.

  • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

    Too tight!

  • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

    And needs the belt !

  • Kirsten Kirsten

The suggtion of a furry chest is somewhat disturbing.

    • TRSTL

And now I can’t unsee that image……. AHHHHH!!!!!  LOL!

  • Louise Bryan

I like the dress, but it doesn’t hold up well to the car ride.

  • decormaven

MUA intervention, please! That is some seriously bad makeup. On another note, I pray to the fashion gods that we won’t see white on the Academy Awards red carpet, but I have a sneaky feeling there will be an avalanche. TLo should start a betting pool on how many white frocks will hit the RC.

  • lrober03

Needs some bright shoes to perk it up

  • Funkykatt

She’s just so cute, it all works.

  • PrunellaV

Presenting the First Lady of the 45th President of the United States…

    • MilaXX

Mellie could kick her butt without breaking a sweat.

  • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

huh. i think her face looks odd, but skimming the comments, the majority seems to really like it.

the dress is terrible, no question.

  • kimmeister

A belt really would have done a world of good.

  • MilaXX

hate the hair, hate the shoe, wish she kept the belt

  • joything

Well, now we know what happens to that dress when the wearer sits down like a human being.  Which the model was clearly not allowed to do.

  • Zippypie

It’s too tight.  She’s been wearing her dresses just too tight lately.  And looking a little too much like Ms. Hollywood Director’s wifey.

  • soussous

Terribly wrinkly on the bottom and the flower detail on the top looks like an odd growth is sprouting from her chest.

  • http://twitter.com/Eovaai Eovaai

Gorgeous. Just please kill those shoes WITH FIRE.

  • guest2visits

A little wrinkled, but I think she looks beautiful; face and hair and jewelry- all pretty. I would have chose different shoes.

  • PeaceBang

She looks great — different make-up? Love the dress but I’m really missing the belt. And LOVE the shoes (edited to add: but she need toenail polish).

  • bd73

love it! satin platforms not so much. maybe if the shoes weren’t platforms and peeptoe.

  • libraangel

OH JEN! You are so beautiful and the dress looks good but also BORING! At least you took the belt off.

  • appliquer

    Pretty, but the wrong shoes.

  • margaret meyers

I’ve been reading Dressing the Queen, which is about… um…yeah… anyway, her dress designer gets fabric samles and she wrings them to see how much they wrinkle and crease, and if they fall back into shape.  Why don’t the fashion designers do the same thing?
You never see the Queen with a wrinkly lap.  The book is actually pretty fun even though the designer is dressing a thickening older woman with conservative taste.

  • Trisha26

Prefer the dress without the belt, but those wrinkles…oh dear. Love that she wore her hair up. Hate the shoes.

  • SewingSiren

A skosh too summery for February, but very pretty never the less.

  • H3ff

I never saw it before, but she looks like Maggie Grace’s older, brunette, sister.

  • ccm800

this is exactly what happens to my chest whne I stand in front of the freezer too long trying to decide what to pull out for dinner.

  • MzzPants

    ‘salright.

  • amf0001

weirdly ‘mumsy’ look as we say down under.  Hair and make up are contributing too – it’s just too PTA auction for me

  • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I wish she’d kept the the belt, though I HATE the shoes on the model. And I wish it wasn’t quite so wrinkled, but I still like it.

  • amaranth16

Face and hair are perfection. The rest… enhhh.

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1266410766 Phyllis Craine

    What’s with the bridesmaid shoes?

  • http://twitter.com/amndad amanda lynn

she’s doing such a good job being the pretty wife, letting her hubs shine.

  • demidaemon

What I really want to know is if Butter is worth watching.

Okay, okay. I think she looks pretty and appropriate here. Different shoes though.

  • http://profiles.google.com/sauchih Sau-Chih Feng

    I’m bored.

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/Y3OY6COEVBS2STNCUNIRZ3COUE Claudia

Awful shoes!  Truly.  A cliched bright pop of colour was needed there.  The dress is pretty.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Jennifer is one lovely lady with a generous superstructure. That said, the top is drawing way too much focus and makes her look unbalanced.
*Note to stylists: There’s a definite line between ‘hooker’ and ‘come #### me’ shoes, and the trend is screaming down the road in the wrong direction.

  • lilibetp

I didn’t know she and Ben were renewing their wedding vows.  How exciting!  I guess my invitation got lost in the mail…

  • Mary229

Such a pretty woman. I keep forgetting that she still makes movies though.

  • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

I think she looks fabulous in the dress, but the wrinkles are distracting.  Can’t say I like the shoes very much.

  • B_C_J

Hair is lovely. The make up is a little odd, but she still looks beautiful. The dress fits fine but is clearly made of fabric that does not permit its wearer to sit down. I would have preferred if the appliqued flowers had been spread throughout the dress and not just concentrated on the bodice.  I am clearly in the minority, but I like her shoes. The model’s shoes are the perfect example of what happens when you wear too loud of a shoe – your eye goes to the accessory and not to the lovely lady who is wearing them.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

If she had worn a different colored shoe and the skirt wasn’t so wrinkled this would have been a WERQ for me.

  • Cathy S

It looks better with a belt.

  • marilyn

Okay overall, but the wrinkle in the front wrecks it.

  • kikisayshi

    Love this!

  • Susan Collier

    Floral chest hair.

  • Sara LaBatt

I think she looks quite good actually, if a little out of season.  I HATE the belt on the model, it’s so think and clunky and totally interrupts the pretty flowers on the front.  Would have liked more color in the accessories on Jen, and hate the shoes a lot, but her hair and face look good, I like the dress, and she looks happy and alive again!  Big plus.

  • librarygrrl64

This is a great silhouette for her, and she can pull off white. I also agree that silver metallic accessories were the way to go with this. Hair and makeup look pretty.
