      TO DIE.

    • http://onebluetree.blogspot.com/ Sara L.

      Seventh row right is MINE.

      • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Only if I can have seventh row left! And the first one.

    • DeborahJozayt

Time for a Vogue Korea photo shoot with this collection, because only VK can handle it.

    • Inspirit

If I was a villainess in a super-hero comic book, the second to last gown would be my outfit of choice.

      • Billie_Dawn

It is to die for. I know that models are probably pretty jaded about wearing beautiful clothes, but if I were a model and saw that I was going to be wearing that particular dress on the runway, I would literally jump up and down and clap my hands while squealing. It would be most undignified.

      • Cynica

You will need a cigarette in a very long holder.

    • PastryGoddess

I NEED that white dress on the bottom row.  J’adore Carolina Herrera

      • IAmJ

It is a spectacular piece. <3

      • 20s_Jazz_Baby

That’s my favourite too! Loved the 30s silhouettes in this.

    • JasmineAM

I will wear that hooded gown to my 10th husbands funeral.

      • Vlasta Bubinka

That is a total “I’m a fabulous black widow, so back off” dress. Me likey.

You see what it reduced me to… using such an asinine expression as me likey.

      • formerlyAnon

And, wearing that, you will hook the 11th husband there.

      • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Or for Princess Leia in the new Star Wars movie. This is a grown up version of her “no bras in space” dress.

    • IAmJ

This once again reminds me why I love CH as much as I do.

    • Kyle Crawford

masterclass – a few of the other collections yall have posted today need to take note – and feel a little shame.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2P2ANLRZ6YAVGONA36I2AQJYGI VicD

Attention Badgley and Mischka, aka “pale imitation” – THIS is how it’s done.

    • Peri7473

Gorgeous.  and unlike the Christian Siriano earlier, these ooze  Carolina Herrera.

    • mickeymammoth

      Love it.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Inês-Martins/100000345906318 Inês Martins

love the 40’s feeling, very elegant and feminine and the oriental side of it! the white one with the black belt… my fav!

      • BarniClaw

        Oh my lord, mine, too!

    • Imasewsure

Very Mata Hari… don’t love all of this but the stuff I do love, I am loving HARD!! Flo Welch and Diane Kruger are going to slug it out for this collection!!

      • Anne At Large

I am rooting for Michelle Dockeery in that fight.

        • Kyle Crawford

Michelle Dockeery NEEDS the bottom white – and we all need to  see  her in it!

    • StellaZafella

Aside from coat collars, hood linings and the usual full-on coats and stoles – I don’t get fur, it just makes me perspire to think of it edging my pockets or hugging my rib cage. I love the silhouettes of much of this and the colors are delicious but you’re right, TLo…I want to live in the world where the hooded black gown in the last row is just “how it’s done”!

      • zenobar

Someday, somewhere…we’ll find a new way of living.  A way of living that includes that hoodie-gown.

    • http://opinionandamovie.blogspot.com/ Deitra S.

I actually groaned with longing when I saw that first dress.  And really, shouldn’t every girl (and a some boys) own a sequined, hooded gown?  I think we can agree the answer is yes.

    • Annabelle Archer

      So feminine. So elegant. J’adore.

    • MilaXX

So pretty! Since this is fantasy shopping, I have grown 4 inches and been gifted with that red/purple number. I already own shoes & accessories and I’ll  have a celebrity stylist pin my locs up in one of those intricate styles I see on youtube.

      • formerlyAnon

         Excellent plan!

    • Trisha26

Black gown in the last row – in my closet NOW!

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

I adore the color of that green gown, but the proportions look a little off.  And you can’t go wrong with tweed in a fall collection.

    • http://www.facebook.com/tom.r.markiewicz Tom Markiewicz

it’s like if game of thrones met katherine hepburn…

      • formerlyAnon

But Kate won, in the end. Which is as it should be.

      • carolie_king

I immediately thought of Kate as well.

    • Carrieanno

I feel like I want to shave the chest of the turtleneck wearing model in the second row.

    • PinkLemon

      LUH. HUH.

    • Deedles

Some of these remind me of Katharine Hepburn and Barbara Stanwyck… in a totally awesome way!

    • pookiesmom

      FASHIONGASM.

I want to wear all of this when I invent a time machine and star in a black & white noir with Carey Grant.

    • BayTampaBay

“You know what? We’re just gonna shut up. Here’s your Pretty of the Day, darlings. Go fantasy shopping. Make up events in your life that will require you to wear hooded gowns. Pretend everyone dresses like this in your world.”

I once tried on a very expensive dress that happened to be on the 75% off rack with my grandmother in attendance.  She told me to buy the dress (she would buy it for me).  I told her I had no place to wear this dress and she said…..”You need to find a place to wear this dress and go there often!”.

      She was a great granny.

    • adnama79

I love everything she does.  The hooded gown is amazing.

    • kimmeister

So much to love here.  I could actually fit that knee length white dress with the blue bursts on it in my everyday life.

    • zenobar

YES PLEASE!  Black sequined hoodie-gown, middle of the bottom row.  I’d get married in that.  Seriously.

    • http://www.facebook.com/CameronETurner Cameron Turner

One of the best collections this year!

    • http://twitter.com/aidanboleyn Aidan B

Oh Godddd I can’t handle the pretty!!

    • Carla_Charlton

Much better than any other collection you’ve shown today, although I liked the Diane von Furstenberg quite a bit.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Mary-Elizabeth-Poytinger-Baumer/1516981341 Mary Elizabeth Poytinger Baume

i think i need to do my dishes and laundry in the green one…oh yes i do.

    • leave_Blake_alone

That gorgeous black hooded one in the bottom row could kill at the Met Gala! (The firework-print dress at the top would be pretty great there too.)

    • Zippypie

Now this is retro done modern done beautifully!  (I’ll close my eyes and ignore the fur…)  Wow.  Gorgeous!

    • d4divine

      Holy moly…what a gorgeous collection!
Herrara is always pure elegance, but this collection has an edge to it…amazing textiles…fabulous color palette. Yummy!!

    • PeaceBang

Ohhh, sublime. I always love her gowns and dresses but she did amazing things with ladypants, too. It’s all divoon. Until that last green gown which is a puckered mess. I’m going to ignore that one so I can have one moment of sheer perfection today.

    • Monday1900

Not wild about the colors used but the silhouettes and fabric patterns are fabulous.  If I ever won the lottery a whole lot of my closet would be Herrera.

    • joything

Oh, I can think of about 30 events where I must show up in those tweedy suits and coats.  Send ‘em on over, Carolina.

      • Beardslee

You and me both.  If I had a zillion dollars I’d buy the suits and many of the day dresses and feel FABULOUS as I schlep my way to work.

    • formerlyAnon

I never hate Herrera collections, but this one is way above average. Even the looks I think very, very few could wear to advantage (furry side pieces on the belts?) have an honored place in a fantasy universe in my head.

    • Sara__B

I enjoy the styling of the models — they look as lovely as the clothing.  (I get so tired of runway models styled to look as strange as possible.)

    • Pants_are_a_must

Remember when Carolina Herrera was all taffeta bridal gowns on Renee Zellweger? Yeah, I don’t miss those days either. J’ADORE.

      • BrooklynBomber

Pretty much my response. I was never a fan, but in the last couple years she’s been doing things that’ve caught my eye. Funny, because in some ways this is reminiscent of classic CH, and yet I completely j’adore a lot of it and and am cursing my closet for its failure to contain any of these.

    • quiltrx

LOVE IT.  Totally perfect for my fantasy walk-on role on Poirot. :)

    • http://twitter.com/TigerLaverada TigerLaverada

I completely love EVERYTHING. That never happens!

    • http://www.facebook.com/ashleighjoanne Ashleigh Morris

Florence Welch in the long sleeve purple! Please play dress the celebrity with this collection!

    • frannyprof

      Two words: STUN NING.

    • DeTrop

I would love to live in that world.  What a lovely collection.  I’m beginning to feel a daydream coming on.

    • http://onionjam.tumblr.com SkipperJane

In my imaginary world, I’m wearing far right, 3rd row to Dapper Day this Sunday.

    • http://www.facebook.com/AntoniaDonnelly Antonia O’Connor Donnelly

      Gorgeous.

    • http://twitter.com/#!/Space_Kitty Space Kitty

      Pretty GORGEOUS of the day!

    • BrooklynBomber

Wow, this is real old school Carolina Herrera, isn’t it? And I’ve only just started to like some of her style. Don’t love all of this, but, man, some of it is drop dead stunningly gorgeous. That first blue sheath with the flowers – WOW!  Also love the red column with the deep red criss cross neck.  And of course the pale blue gown . . . le sigh. I’ll take mine without the fur, though that berry color is killer.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100001998855370 Fatima Siddique

Sublime. The first dress in the second row…I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like it.

    • http://kittysdrawings.com Esz

I love it ALL – Cannot beat a hooded dress.
I will have one of everything please

    • Timothy Scott

      Duchess of Windsor hair.

    • RzYoung

I’m almost in tears it’s so pretty! Pms probably also has something to do with it but it’s just breathtaking. I’ve favourited the page

    • http://www.facebook.com/sarah.souffriau Sarah Souffriau

      <3

    • Nancy Dunn

Gorgeous! Although I pray Michelle Williams doesn’t show,up in that gown third row from the bottom, middl. She would twee it all up. Love the maxi-type striped skirt and the striped coat, too. I could see Rachel Zoe in the skirt – very vintage looking!

    • SugarSnap108

LOVE the 40s vibe. Last row is sort of a 1940s Princess Leia…and I would never have guessed that could work.

I’ll be launching a fundraiser so I can buy the coat in the fourth row, left.

    • sleepycat

the hooded gown gives me life. Why can’t sears and ross be expensive and Herrera be down market? Although that would be hilarious because the rich people would go spend their money at sears

    • Indigo54

OMG!  Gimme that first gown, RIGHT NOW!  Oh hell, gimme all of it.  What a delicious fantasy!

    • mjude

      LOVE IT ALL!

    • Kayceed

Wowza – between this, DvF and Bagdley Mischka – there are some seriously great clothes coming for fall.

    • afabulous50

These models all look so ridiculously bored – some even with smirks on their faces.  You are being paid big bucks – give SOME kind of face walking down the runway.  At least act like you want to be there wearing clothes we mere mortals would die to wear…geesh.

      • http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/ Tom and Lorenzo

A model’s job in a runway show is to be as neutral as possible; as close to a walking mannequin as they can get. No one there is looking at their faces.

    • TippiH

SUCH beautiful coats and sleeves. Why don’t we see more of these? White sheer strapless in January is ridiculous.

    • twocee

Stunning.  I want to wear the second row, middle picture to work and act like I own the entire building.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=149100065 Virginia McMurdo

      Amazing.

    • 20s_Jazz_Baby

      Dayum. *tingles*

    • Buffy

      gorge!

    • B_C_J

      I worship Carolina Herrera.

    • TRSTL

CH is to die for….. IMHO, FLOTUS needs to develop a relationship with this collection, I think she would look deeply gorgeous in some of these cuts and colors.

    • msdamselfly

      Drooling.

    • http://twitter.com/lisledanielle Danielle Lisle

Third row from the bottom, middle dress. Swoon.

    • http://www.facebook.com/darva.sutra Darva Sutra

Brava, Carolina is pure class as always! This inspires me to pull out my vintage sewing patterns and whip up a couple similar looks.  Mood carries a lot of her fabrics, but they probably won’t have any of these for some time yet, sigh.  Dying for these silk chrysanthemum  prints and the color palette in general.

    • http://viridianpostcard.blogspot.com/ viridian61

      Coats= something I could wear = love.

    • Susan Crawford

The coats are fabulous, and I love the restrained references to the 40’s. This is a winning collection, and I’m sure at least a couple of the evening gowns will make the Oscar carpet.

    • lrober03

All of the prints are DIVINE

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

BEAUTIFUL. One of my favorite collections, as usual. Now I just need to figure out how to transport myself back in time (with this collection) as a 40’s era socialite.

    • alyce1213

Simply exquisite collection — different, unusual, inspired.  Love Carolina Herrera.

    • roadtrip1000

So beautiful. The colors, the textures, the patterns. The fabrics are so sensual I just want to reach out and touch them. All that and they actually look wearable. CH is a true artist.

    • m0r0

      Gorgeous

    • Alyssa

      So pretty!

    • libraangel

I want to like this, but the first dress blew my corneas out and her whole collection seems fuzzy to me now

      • libraangel

p.s I guess I am the only one who doesn’t like this collection – can’t get past the ugly flowers

    • Aurumgirl

      I would wear it all.

    • NYCGlamourpuss

A hooded evening gown?  But of course!  It’s totally Paulette Goddard in “The Women”!  Remember?  “On the train to Reno!”

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/47S737MGWCAZEZ73QOAFKDFEKQ Jill

What a GORGEOUS collection, my favorite so far.

    • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

I love that gray dress with the fuzzy purple critter thing around the neck.  Love love love it.

    • http://twitter.com/nkk Nikki

      I need it all!

    • librarygrrl64

Oh, for the budget…and the figure to wear these….
