After-Oscars 2013: Amy Adams in Oscar de la Renta
It seems some of the ladies brought their A game to the after-parties.

This is gorgeous and she’s gorgeous.
But now we’re kind of annoyed. Did she not feel she could wear this to the Oscars? Has it all gotten so conformist and samey-samey on the Oscars red carpet that everyone feels they have to default to a big poofy gown lest they be ostracized? This would have been an amazing statement to make, showing up at the Oscars as a nominee, wearing something as bold as this.
Did she think this was too “evening” for the Oscars? This makes us wonder if some of the Oscars attendees think of it as a daytime event. Technically, it is a daytime event but most of the rest of the world considers it an evening event and besides, it’s an event that starts in daylight, but every man is expected to wear a tux and the ladies are all strongly encouraged to wear gowns, so we fail to see a day/night distinction. We have a feeling a lot of critics would claim this was too night-time or too showy for the Oscars proper, but we disagree.
