  • LeeLee looks great.  Missing element? Earrings.  GREAT earrings.

    • 3boysful

I’d like the shoes and hose to go missing.

      • RebeccaKW

Yea, I’m not feeling them here.  They may work with something else, but those pastels are fighting with the skirt.

        • Alyssa

          Completely agree!

      • Agreed. Under that big skirt, they look like Wicked Witch’s shoes under the house

    • e m

Disagree. You don’t wear jewelry to a Raf Simon creation. And Leelee almost never wears earrings.

    • Winter_White

Kiltdntiltd, I agree about earrings when I take a sweeping glance at the whole look.  But then disagree when I adjust my focus to her features (the fourth and fifth pics), because the planes of her face, and those eyes, are just so interesting.

  • Sobaika

I think a white top (or at least something other than black) might have worked better, but she looks fab.

    • ALT19

You stole the words straight out of my mouth.

  • belfebe

She’s serving some New Look realness.  Not sure about the color of the hose and shoes but that’s a minor quibble.  She looks great.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

LeeLee and this Dior collection are a match made in style heaven.

  • Dot

    Serious actress is serious.

    • MaryanneGirl

I was just finding myself wondering & I couldn’t come up with anything she’s been in lately. That could totally be me, but has she been in a movie lately?? (or a production of any kind?)

  • teensmom99

Speechless. Why does no one else do this.  LeeLee goes to the WERQ hall of fame.  And Dior makes the new look new again.

    • Clueless_Jock

      Yup. Bravissima.

    • My eyes! My eyes! The perfection has melted my eyes!

    •  Yes – personal best!

  • ChiliP

Yes to the dress. No to the Martha Washington hair. Maybe to the shoes (although interesting pairing, I’ll give her that). Overall though, she looks very striking.

  • CaTobes

I think she looks fabulous, j’adore the skirt. The crazy eyes and pink hose have got to go though.

    • Kristin McNamara

I have NO idea what kind of fabric that skirt is made of, but the costume designers for the 2nd Hunger Games movie should take note. Because whatEVER the hell it is, that skirt LITERALLY looks like it’s on fire. I’ve never seen anything like that before…. the areas where the light hits/where the folds are: crazy flames! Run for your life!
ETA: *In Leelee’s version. Upon further inspection, the runway version doesn’t seem to have this effect to the same extent.

  • muelonil

I love everything except for what is going on with her feet.

    • kimmeister

I literally am not sure what’s even going on with her feet.  At first I thought they were pink tights with seafoam green pumps, but upon further inspection it looks like one whole piece, like the ugliest boots in the world.  Blech!

  • NC_Meg

That is twelve kinds of fabulous. I feel like something is missing from the neck up but overall, wow.

  • Jessi03

Took my breath away.  Gorgeous.  Shame about the shoes.

  • She’s so hot.

  • In_Stitches

Meryl hair, Meryl skirt, if only she had that Meryl smile…

  • nannypoo

This is really stunning. Why those shoes, though, I wonder.

  • TheLaurenJean

I love this, until I get down to the tights in the shoes. Those are some freaky looking feet.

  • Annabelle Archer

I love her birdlike face! Can I say, I’m so proud of her for keeping her nipples off display.  The only thing keeping this from a WERQ! moment is whatever is happening with her shoes/hose/wtf? situation. So close to perfection.

  • julnyes

the hose + shoe combo is confusing me, but I love everything else.

  • SugarSnap108

Her left hand has been surgically attached to her hip, which seems odd.  But that dress is truly striking.  The feet … are kinda freaky.

  • Shoes and Hose – Click on the link under second picture, go to Look 41. That model is wearing the same yucky shoe/hose pairing as LS.

  • She is perfectly built for that Dior silhouette, isn’t she? That red coat/dress with the belt was given a well-deserved WERQ, and this is a very similar shape. Love it.

  • . . . is that really pink hose or shoes? Either way, a brave attempt, but no.

  • love everything! shoes and hose included.

  • carolynmo

Divine. I love this–maybe not the shoes, though.

  • PastryGoddess

Watch out Cotillard…Sobieski wants your throne

  • gabbilevy

    Love everything above the hem.

  • What the actual fuck does she have on her feet?

  • I feel like her face makeup is a shade lighter than her actual skin tone…

  • crash1212

I kind of love this – it’s a spare-ballet-dancer-after-party sort of look. I truly, madly, deeply hate those shoes.

  • I don’t much like her…. or the dress, but this looks great on her.

  • Tatiana Luján

Love the dress, don’t get why she wore those shoes or why she wore them with that dress.

  • tallgirl1204

Skirt is beautiful.  Black shirt = blah.

  • Tatiana Luján

I want a movie where she plays the daughter and Helen Hunt plays the mother.

    • Vera L-

and Tilda is the crazy aunt.

  • Dig everything, minus those shoes.  Ensemble, those are NOT your shoes!

  • What is the story with those shoes? They are very, very weird.

She looks amazing (minus the shoes). She also looks an awful lot like Helen Hunt.

  • I’m wondering if that isn’t all of a piece, those shoes. There’s a closeup of them on the Anothermag website – if you do a GIS, you’ll find it. I don’t know how they stay on feet if they aren’t all of a piece.

  • fringebenefit

I can’t help but think that a sliver of a belt–just a sliver–is called for here to close the loop, so to speak, on this look. Otherwise, it’s a yoga top with a big fancy skirt.

  • ojosazules

What is that on her feet? Boots, or tights and shoes? Whatever, they are the fly in the apple pie.

  • marilyn

So, it was a laundry day, and she had to grab random things out of what was left in the closet, and voila!  Fashion!  I don’t think so.

The skirt is ultra romantic and definitely for evening, the top looks like the top half of tights (you know, for yoga, or ballet class), the pink tights should not be worn by anyone over the age of 8, and the green pointy shoes that should be worn with a pastel, flowery dress for tea.

  • mhleta

Wow. She was meant to wear that dress! I can’t quite get a read on the shoe/boot/shibooties, but because of the way she is owning this dress, I can forgive a lot.

  • Janet B

    The shoes are confusing me…

  • MilaXX

Yuch! The addition of the sleeves makes this look too heavy and the shoes clash.

  • frannyprof

    Love love love love love

  • jenno1013

Her cheekbones and lipstick make the look, which she is working the hell out of.  Does need earrings, and we shall not speak of the shoes, but hair to hem she’s fierce.

  • mmc2315

    The skirt is fantastic.

  • margaret meyers

She’s relying on the skirt to do all the work, and it isn’t capable of doing all the work.

  • Imasewsure

Hate the shoes… like the dress but hate the sleeves…. love the bizarre stare down we have earned for some unknown reason (we really are sorry)

  • alyce1213

Gorgeous.  I am fascinated by what’s going on with her shoes.  Is there a citation?

  • unbornfawn

The dress is much better without the sleeves. She looks pretty good anyway.

  • TieDye64

The shoes need to be set on fire.

  • FridaStaire

Desperately needs a belt, and a bullet bra!

  • Weird. Tom Cruise and LeeLee look like they could be brother and sister.

    • kschwarting

Which makes their scenes in “Eyes Wide Shut” even weirder.

  • kschwarting

She’s really meant to wear those “New Look” Dior styles…I will never forget her in that red coat dress from last summer.

  • Trisha26

I think she’s pulling it off – except for the shoe/boot things. Why that color combo? Love the model’s gold shoes.

  • boweryboy

Even though the dress looks a smidge longer on her, and I hate that she changed the bodice from sleeveless to long sleeved (the runway version with opera length gloves would have been classic Dior), and she looks like she’s about to bite a man’s head off I can’t get behind the hose and shoe combo.  It ruins it for me.  Her feet look the size of boats and her legs look like she has an obscure skin disease.

  • baby helen hunt looks cute

  • l_c_ann

For her shoes, please crossreference the Wizard of Oz: Wicked Witch on whom Dorothy’s house landed.

  • quiltrx

I’ve always thought she was so striking and pretty…but she has REALLY found her inner fashionista.  She looks fabulous, and classy.

  • I fiercely hate the shoes. Otherwise, I think she looks gorgeous!

  • librarygrrl64

Stunning and very dramatic, but she needs earrings and a bra…or a better bra…

  • m0r0

She can pull off so many things……but not this one.

  • Samantha Irene

    Her feet are horrifying.

  • SewingSiren

Love it all top to toe.

  • Pterodactyl111

Different shoes, but other than that I like it.

  • guest2visits

  • TLJezebel

I like the sleeveless runway version better.  Not so ballerina-ish.

    • Exactly what I was thinking. Looks like a gorgeous skirt over a leotard.

  • ThaliaMenninger

I am not a fan of the fabric used for the skirt. It looks uncomfortably like the drapes in the pictures of my grandparents’ house in 1942.

  • Iroqhard

I’m kinda getting some Betty Draper realness from this look, and her posing. She is definitely giving this look her all.

  • c’est genial!

  • formerlyAnon

Like many others the odd 2 tone boots or pale shoes with too-pink hosiery strike me as very wrong.

Otherwise, stunning. Needs impressive earrings, possibly in topaz.

  • Dagney

    wow! a fashion risk.  Love.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Darling, you have breasts…please support them. The downward pull of the tight top and the cami under it ruins an otherwise stunning look.

  • lrhoff

    Awesome….she’s amazing.

  • Rebecca Jay

  • MaryanneGirl

What in heaven’s name is going on on her feet? I think she looks beautiful, and then she throws on beigey/nudey hose and mint shoes?? No ma’am.

  • dharmabum8

The skirt fabric is fantastic. It looks like it has a hologram behind the floral pattern or something.

  • Elleachaudaucul

I love this so much. Except for the pink hose.

  • jmorino08

    Young Meryl Streep.

  • pattycap11

  • Danae

This is really really great. Beautiful look for her.
