I’m utterly amazed that Christian continues to know the business aspect of fashion. He must constantly send dresses to celebrities. No other PR alum has had the mainstream success as he. Sure, his designs get more and more generic each time but still, what good is it to be an edgy designer if nobody ever sees your designs.

      • SassieCassy

i remember reading this interview by heidi saying that she receives things from him a lot. he gets the business stuff and that has to be a big part of why he is there biggest success story.

    • Sobaika

      Prom Dress.

        First thing I thought.

        • Beth Gardner

home made prom dress … that hem is awful

    • http://twitter.com/HappyValleyGurl Stasi Wiren

I don’t like the swath of sheer w/ the fishy looking things across her chest.  She looks like she has a skin disease.

    • http://twitter.com/AbbottRabbit Emily Dagger

I think I’d love it if it weren’t toe-shoe pink.

      • jjfg

Plus her shoes look kind of like toe shoes!

I think I’d like it better in another color, too.

    • http://twitter.com/TheScottFinley Scott Finley

This looked amazing in person at the Siriano show back in September and while it looks nice here, it’s not a dress for a woman with large breasts. Loses a bit of its ethereal feel.

        • LCTerrill

Not to mention the icky orange-ish tan.

          • gabbilevy

And the bottle blonde hair and the cartoonish makeup? I think she looks like she’s playing dressup as Barbie.

            • ankali

That is precisely what I thought. She looks ridiculously juvenile.

    • elemspbee

could’ve been nice but the hair!

      • MoHub

Hair looks like ’60s vintage country music queen, but sloppy.

    • gsk241

I think she looks great.  In fact, I’ll give her an IN solely because she abstained from doing her usual duckface.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2P2ANLRZ6YAVGONA36I2AQJYGI VicD

I just like it because I like it.  I’d love to see more mid-length dresses; so tired of either full on ballgowns or else micro micro-minis.  I knew I’d be in the minority liking it, but glad I am not entirely alone on this.

    • Audrey Mozdzen

Cats eye liner may be all the rage but it doesn’t go well with pastel pink. Be much better with a bold color; here, it just ages her.

    • jw_ny

I love Kaley, so I want to be nice…but having trouble.  It’s a pretty dress, but a bit on the bridesmaidy side…I don’t hate it.  The shoes, otoh, look like something to be worn with a pink satin dressing gown.   Hate the Sarah Palin bump-it hair as well the pink lipstick.

girl needs some serious lessons in posing too…

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/2LIE6ISFQUBIAO7OB6U5TAVXXQ Depot'er

and up close the make up is very grandmother with a trowel, I like her, I like Serano but….whew… the model looks better- this is a hair from  brides maids on a budget…

      • http://twitter.com/anywhoo Leigh David

         Tinkerbell wants the lipstick back.

    • EverybodysStarling

Love her, love Christian’s designs, but hate the dress. Looks like old mosquito netting with some leafs.

      • annyb

Upon whom might that look good? I don’t think it looks good on the runway either.

        • IMNAngryLiberal

I so agree with you.  That’s a tacky looking dress on the runway and worse on Kaley.  I’ve never liked Christian’s dress designs much anyway — I’ve loved lots of his jackets and other separates … dresses not so much.

    • MilaXX

pretty. I wish it was in a different color, but she looks nice

    • anotherkate

Sorry Christian. I can’t get behind that “it’s-a-girl!” shade of pink.

    • kimmeister

That hair and makeup would be perfect for the CMAs . . .

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

We saw someone else wearing those hideous shoes recently, who was it?

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_F73LIJ3SJGI5AJQMXMWXCKILHI Pamela

      Her makeup job ages her.

    • Cheri Lee

She kind of looks like Carrie Underwood. The dress is cute but it looks too homecoming princess. Not a big fan of the shoes.

    • mhleta

Love the dress. If she’s going to the CMA’s in 1958 she nailed it. I love the dress. The hair’s a bit Nashville for these purposes and the shoes go a bit into Real Housewives territory. I do think this is a beautiful dress for her, if only it were styled better. I’d love to see it in navy. Oooo.

    • http://www.facebook.com/darva.sutra Darva Sutra

Gorgeous dress; but she has cheapened it with atrocious styling.  Makeup, hair, shoes, event the jewelry is all wrong.  Sigh.  Christian, you should have styled her yourself!  Gawd.  Blech.

    • PastryGoddess

Those shoes need to be burned

    • http://twitter.com/dollsaga Dollsaga

she would look better as a brunette. her make-up and skintone said so.

    • http://twitter.com/KathrynTewson Kathryn Tewson

I think Christian may be the only person to ever have actually WON Project Runway.

    • http://www.facebook.com/D.D.D.Dino Dino Bonačić

adore. the shoes are also cute. ˆˆ

    • Imasewsure

Poor Christian… hopefully he cashed the check and then didn’t bother with the aftermath

    • http://profiles.google.com/scaponigro Sarah Caponigro

I love her but there is not one thing I like here. She doesn’t look too thrilled either. Hate the shoes.

    • crash1212

Hate the hair – HATE. Hate the shoes. The dress is very pretty but doesn’t photograph very well. Not sure that’s her color. Oh yeah – hate the make-up, too.

    • blondie707

I think this would have worked a lot better in a different color – a shade of blue, perhaps. As it is right now, combined with the shoes, bright pink lipstick, and liberally applied blush, she looks too much like Barbie.

    • Tatiana Luján

with that hairdo, makeup and shoes, the dress went from gorgeous and ethereal to bridesmaid.

    • http://www.facebook.com/NadiyaOsmani Pudgy Possum

She’s a pretty woman, but none of this is working (including the matchy makeup).

    • Lattis

If I wore that dress I’d be very tempted to introduce myself . . . “I am a witch. I’m Glinda, the witch of the North.”

    • Fordzo

She often looks like she just smelled a fart.

    • http://twitter.com/peacebang Victoria Weinstein

I could maybe see a Fanning in this dress. On this gal it’s awful, and her hair and make-up are pure Texas hooker.

    • Lilithcat

      Bad prom dress.

    • frannyprof

    • Pennymac

Love her. Hate everything about this look.

    • wawawah

What’s with the crooked slanted hem? Is that some trend I’m not aware of? CS’s dresses generally (including this one) are barely out of the prom category.
Have to give him credit for getting to the Red Carpet as often as he does!

    • http://twitter.com/ndpndntfilm Susan Velazquez

I hate the lace on her chest. It looks so distracting.

    • TRSTL

I’m not overly crazy about this dress except I saw her interviewed recently and it does seem to fit her personality.  And I do mean that in a good way. She comes across as a very fun, “not to seriously concerned about what you think” gal who is determined to have a career and some fun.  I like her….

    • Vaniljekjeks

Beautiful, but the shoes are tragic.  They need to be black.

    • OneRing

Yes on the model, no on the starlet!  I’m betraying the sisterhood of the busty girls, but that’s not a dress for the well-endowed.  She does look like Barbie as styled by a 4 year old.

    • MaryMitch

“Project Runway” fitting on the dress. It’s too high on her waist and the hem is awful.

    • http://twitter.com/aStudiobytheSea a Studio by the Sea

      Just awful

    • RocknRollmom

Navy, gray, black….any color but the pink here.  Certainly not for Kaley.  Makeup is hideous as well.  And this from someone who is always told by her daughters that she doesn’t know how to put on makeup.

    • alyce1213

She’s a funny, sweet actress with very accessible, girl-next-door beauty, but boy does she look like crap here. The dress suits her, but the makeup and hair are so awful, you can’t even see the dress.

    • http://twitter.com/MarfMom Maya

i actually kind of like the dress, just not the hair, makeup, or shoes…

    • katchwa

An ice cream blonde should ideally avoid a confectionery frock.

    • laurenoodle

Her hair and makeup is making my eye twitch

    • DeTrop

Without reading any comments, my first thought is too much eye makeup.  She is so adorable on The Big Bang Theory and here she looks so artificial.  I’m off to read the other comments.

    • thecitysleeps

I think this dress looks amazing.  I love the sweetness of it.  I’m iffy about the see through part across the breasts but otherwise it’s lovely.  I don’t love the shoes with it.  And I love Kaley but the hair doesn’t go that much with the dress I think.

    • KSpence

Why is her face so pink?

    • Jessica O’Connell

Hate the bump-it hair and would have preferred different shoes, but I think she looks pretty good.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_LCM5POTSHO74MUOQO6IAV4YUBE Jessica

I usually love Christian Siriano’s creations, but this one falls flat for me.

    • http://twitter.com/kittyscratches Kittie Fahey

of course dress is great, but she looks so awkward and uncomfortable! Looks like one of the sporty girls in high school going to first formal dance

    • jennsilentcrow

      get a makeup artist please.
