I’m really not liking the fit of this on her. That asymmetrical draping across the front looks really wonky.

      • jilly_d

Lol, just read yours after posting mine….looks like wonky was the correct word for what We are seeing here.

      • StellaZafella

The studded fabric looks heavy for this type of draping…the studs look too random, (like carbuncles), and weight the draping instead of enhancing it. The result just seems over worked.

        • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

A bit random and, from some angles, give her very aggressive nipples. Maybe if it didn’t have that whole sleeve it wouldn’t look so heavy?

        • littlemac8

          Carbuncles…ha ha ha…..CARBUNCLES!  That’s rich!

    • Introspective

yoga hair, unimpressive makeup and a dress that while pretty, is just too big and overworked in the area we all want to seem smallest, the waistline, makes this one a miss for me.

    • kimmeister

Whoa, that hair belongs in the 1995 miniseries of Pride & Prejudice.  Jane Bennett, especially (I just had a viewing party on New Year’s Day).

The dress doesn’t do much for her figure.  It appears to have swallowed her boobs in their entirety.

      • Patricia Gillett

         Love that mini-series!

      • mshesterp

Ha!  I was home sick with the flu and had a P&P viewing party myself on New Year’s Day!  Hadn’t seen it in years.  Immediately followed that with Bridget Jones.  And you’re right–there’s some Jane Bennett-ness going on here.

        • kimmeister

Great minds!  I’m thinking of making it an annual ritual.  Some of my friends were too sick to make it and asked to be included in future viewing parties.

      • Jecca2244

yes! Just watched on the way back from LA. So good.

    • Sobaika

Not her dress (fit, color, shape, etc.) and that shouldn’t be her hair either.

      • Sobaika

Makeup is also tres harsh. Sorry, Julie.

        • SassieCassy

awww i think your being very harsh! i mean your not WRONG about the dress hair or makeup but she looks okay. nothing to write home about and nothing to gawk at either.

      • 3boysful

Agreed.  She’s adorable, but that (lack of) color dress needs somewhere for the eye to stop, ie, a dark-headed person, to pull it off.  See the model, for example.  It’s just not working for her, imho.

        • Aurumgirl

I don’t think it’s a flattering colour on the model, either–it’s just an extremely washed out white that looks even more colourless with the off-putting bedazzling.

    • robynjd

How do you sit in that?

      • kimmeister

Ha, you’d shred every chair in sight!

    • TheLaurenJean

I thought we were done with the Wilma dresses. Ugh.

    • geans

      It’s so pretty on the model, though. I don’t think it’s a dress for a short-ish blonde.

    • Judy_J

I love the fabric, but I hate that one-shoulder dress, especially with one long sleeve.  Personal preference, I suppose.  It just looks unfinished to me.

      • MissAmynae

always hated the one shoulder-longsleeve version. just doesn’t look…right. The fabric is divine!  imagine this with two long sleeves, simple wide cowl-neck, and a low-cut back…gorgeousness.

    • kschwarting

Her smile in the third and fourth photos indicates that she knows this isn’t her dress.  It just washes her out…and the fit, as others have ably said, looks off.

    • http://profiles.google.com/scaponigro Sarah Caponigro

She looks like a cool lady to hang out with. I don’t like this dress so I can’t comment on the dress on her.

    • mhleta

There are some flaws, but there’s a lot that’s good about this look, too.  This type of dress is a good choice for her. It covers up her sparrow chest, gives her some volume and curves while still showing some skin and her very gorgeous legs. I like her hair like this, too. Softens her edges. Throw in a better fit and color and this could have been a WERQ.

    • lehen

i love her, but i never like how she looks on the RC.  that said, at least this dress covers her scary chest-bones.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Patrick-Cleary/1201575213 Patrick Cleary

The fabric is really pretty, but the length isn’t right for it and the one-shoulder look just is meh.

    • jilly_d

The drape of that dress is making her boobies look suuuuper wonky.

    • schadenfreudelicious

      stud boobs….

    • MilaXX

I think she looks pretty. Minor quibble, I wish she was wearing a different shoe this seems a bit generic.

    • trisker

I like the drapey fit on her – she looks too skinny sometimes.  I hate the one long sleeve though.

    • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

Please tell me I’m not the only one with a pathological dread of hot, viscous liquid that’s boiling, so that big bubbles form and then pop. That makes my skin crawl. And this dress sort of reminds me of that, which is why, even though objectively speaking, it’s probably okay, it is making me go AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! inside.

So close! Maybe with a brighter lip and sleeker hair.

    • TheDivineMissAnn

How does one manage to sit comfortably with rhinestones on the derriere?

Anyway,  not crazy about the dress or the hair, but the shoes are fab!  The clutch is adorbs too.

    • E. D.

That makeup makes her look 50.

    • decormaven

You go to the trouble of getting a designer outfit with complementary accessories and you pair it with that hair? Go to the salon first, dear. That hair is hardly appropriate for running errands, much less walking the RC.

    • http://www.facebook.com/aboutelle Ashleigh Boutelle

      yuk

    • lrober03

This dress looks like its from a Project Runway supermarket challenge, and one of the contestants got a shower curtain and then just started gluing.

    • msdamselfly

      Hair and makeup are fabulous

    • alyce1213

Her hair’s too messy and the fit’s off a bit, but she looks happy.  I’m very glad to see her not fake-tanned this winter.  I like her shiny shoes.

    • http://twitter.com/Alyssa_T_Robot Alyssa T. Robot

      dat hair. ugh.

    • Janet B

The fit, color, hair and makeup are unfortunate.

    • http://twitter.com/delysia_lafosse Delysia LaFosse

Eh. It’s not awful, but it looks awfully heavy on her. I can’t tell if the fit is too big, or if it’s just a bulky dress, but it’s really not doing her any favors.

    • Monday1900

Very Princess Di in the 90′s.  Would look better if it was more fitted to her form in the torso.

    • snarkykitten

Remember when the PR judges were shitting themselves because Anya was the first person on earth to ever design one-sleeved dresses?

      ugh.

    • sk8tfan

Every variation of the one-sleeved look has failed in my book. It’s like sheers over granny pants-time to auf the look, already, it has never and will never work. And isn’t this basically a cheaper looking version of the one sleeve worn by Kristen Stewart some time ago?

    • Vera L-

Where did her boobs go? She has them, right?

I’d like the dress better in another color and with better fit through the bust.

    • http://www.facebook.com/bert.keeter Bert Keeter

PLEASE take your hand off your hip! I like the dress…

    • BrooklynBomber

I hate Wilmas. Especially Wilmas with a sleeve.

    • Maluca

I’ll give her credit for dressing “softer”. But this might have looked better on her without the sleeve.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Wilma Flintstone is coked up and ready to party!

    • Trisha26

Dislike one-shoulder dresses in general and those with one full sleeve in particular. It’s shapeless on her and she looks really washed out.

    • Allison Woods

      Studded bedsheet.

    • http://twitter.com/Eovaai Eovaai

Fit is frumpy and her hair is dreadful.

    • quiltrx

This is just a really odd little dress.  No likey.

    • Frank Lithium

      Sad hair, okay dress.

    • Frank Lithium

      Sad hair, okay dress.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

I kind of love it (though it could have been fitted a little better). And I want her shoes.

    • librarygrrl64

I am not a fan of one-sleeved dresses, but this isn’t completely awful. A bit colorless, but it seems to fit her well.

    • RzYoung

I know this is probably the point, but she looks like she’s undressing

    • guest2visits

Although she certainly looks much nicer in this than the model; in some pics she appears to be melting away like a sugar cube…

    • allj

Girl needs to fire whoever did her hair

    • http://www.facebook.com/AntoniaDonnelly Antonia O’Connor Donnelly

I can’t ever remember seeing her in anything I have liked, and her hair, for some reason, never looks flattering.

    • ccm800

I like! Wrong arm though dear.
