She’s nearly invisible in that gown. Pretty, but also boring and utterly unremarkable.

    • FrayedMachine

Eh. This seems like a very typical and cliche red carpet dress. It’s nice but is missing a wow factor.

Also is there an invisible post in those pictures because she is doing a hell of a lot of unnatural leaning.

      • mjude

        invisible post!   HA!

      • kimmeister

I think she borrowed Eddie Redmayne’s post.

    • Kelsey Beckman

      So much matchiness!

    • DeborahJozayt

It’s the leaning tower of Kaufmanfranco.

    • AlexisPayne

      Full length sequined bath towel.

I wonder if she had to fight Aniston for it.

        • Annabelle Archer

Nah, much too much length for Jen to consider it. You forget, she favors gynecological sequined bath towels.

          • http://twitter.com/iJenmac Jennifer McClory

When I saw it, my first thought was, “It’s a floor-length Aniston.”

          • DeborahJozayt

Jennifer just doesn’t see the multi-tasking benefits of her bath gowns cleaning her floors like a Roomba 560.

    • Annabelle Archer

      zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    • mmc2315

Very pretty, and yep, also boring.

    • halo323

It would be so, so, so pretty with a pop of color somewhere (perhaps a belt?).

    • e jerry powell

Is there some rule somewhere about going matchy-matchy with the nails and the gown?  I mean, check the lips.  She can go with a pink nail, right?

    • suzq

Weren’t they Jennifer Anniston’s go-to designers for a while there?

    • gsk241

She has a face and body made for DRAMATIC looks.  She doesn’t look terrible here, but I can’t help but feel she could have done much better.

      • sk8tfan

Yes, I agree! She would rock the heck out of the gown Taylor Swift is wearing, f’rinstance. And she can wear Clair Dane’s eyemakeup. She has strong features and the gentle virginal look is not for her.

    • Sobaika

Nothing we haven’t seen before, but her hair is always a WERQ and I really love her bangles and mani.

    • siriuslover

      meh.

    • MilaXX

It’s pretty but boring. I can’t help but wish this was in midnight blue

      • EveEve

It still would have been boring.

    • KatieKissinger

I like her bangles and manicure more than anything else in this look, so that’s not good.  Really though, love your nails Connie!

    • http://www.facebook.com/henry.maler Henry Maler

Standard in every way, but she looks great.

    • Imasewsure

She is really pretty but that shape isn’t very flattering on her. Nothing offensive but nothing special as duly noted by many many others here

    • PastryGoddess

Michelle Obama called.  She wants her manicure back

      pretty. standard. boring.

    • http://twitter.com/nkk Nikki

Not sure about the pave bangles with a pave gown… and then her gown being almost the same color as her… she is becoming washed out- it would have been lovely to see her in a much more rich color- though the shape of this dress is wonderfully flattering (though, with that body…) but the dress itself is kind of just typical sheath dress.

I will give props to the fact that the dress does seem to move a lot while still seeming incredibly heavy why that dress that Brian Williams’ daughter was wearing was horrifically stiff and wasn’t slathered in gemstones.

    • Janet B

Gorgeous dress, but the details are lost on her.

    • http://twitter.com/lenabena_ Elena

      Falling asleep.

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

The color does nothing for me but that dress is perfection on her. She looks like she barely had to try and still looks better than everyone else.

    • jennsilentcrow

oh connie. tears of beautiful utter boredom.

    • jilly_d

Utterly boring gown, but her adorable chest freckles make the best accessory.

      • Spicytomato1

Ha! I was thinking the exact same thing about her nose!

    • kimmeister

At least her eye makeup is better than the last time she was featured here.

    • http://www.facebook.com/dalca4 Denise Alcantara

      Pretty but so standard.

I want to steal her nail polish though.

    • decormaven

That nail polish is no bueno. Also, that is a plethora of bangles.

    • peachy

another of the repetitive fleshtone dresses. bored with it now.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

The dress itself is rather unremarkable, but that being said, I think Connie looks gorgeous.  It fits perfectly, and it’s the right shade of nude for her (if one MUST go with a nude-colored dress).

    • Zippypie

I would have like this with some kind of straps/neckline.  She looks pretty, but it’s pretty meh.

    • http://twitter.com/Eovaai Eovaai

Boring. HATE the blush trend. HATE.

    • Trisha26

      Pretty.

    • EEKstl

Not bad but she SO needed to have a pop of color in her lipstick or nails.  Everything’s just so…blah.

    • librarygrrl64

She needs more color. Or any color.

    • TLJezebel

Matchy, yes.  Boring, yes.  But DAMN if she doesn’t rock middle age!

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

I know everyone does it on the RC but if this dress had been black, this would have been a WERQ to me.

    • bertkeeter

Color would have helped! Basically nice but tad booooring!

    • TieDye64

Not digging the makeup. And where is her waist?

    • Damien W

By themselves, none of the individual pieces cry out for much attention. But I think her sheer air of confidence makes the whole thing WERQ.

    • berkeleygirl

Why didn’t she look like this at the Emmys?  I think she looks terrific.  Yes, it may look to pale in the bright sun/lights of the red carpet, but I’ll bet it looks terrific under the lights.

    • neofashionista

her body was pretty much made for gowns very long and lean lovely even though at this point standard

    • MissFern

Imagine that dress in ANY OTHER COLOR.  Mrs. Taylor, I love you so but why dishwater?

    • mhleta

It doesn’t get anymore basic Hollywood standard than this. It’s not a memorable dress, but she looks really amazing anyway. Imagine her mingling with us mortals in this, say at a fundraiser. Jaws would drop.

    • muelonil

      Mrs. Coach Taylor looks gorgeous!

    • ZnSD

      I bedazzled my pillowcase myself!

    • http://frockpaperscissors.blogspot.com/ kvlm

I think it works for her…for her age, her color.  It’s simple and chic.  I kind of love her.
