It’s interesting, I’ll give her that.  I don’t know that I like the effect of layering sheer prints though, especially when the prints are so busy.

    • capybara_cafe

It makes me keep blinking, because it feels like I have blurry eyes. I like the dress, but I think the under skirts should have been sheer or something so you don’t feel seasick looking at it.

  • Wow! Just wow!

  • It’s pretty, but not as stunning as the one Lucy Liu wore to the Golden Globes.

    • conniemd

I love the way Carolina Herrera makes red carpet dresses that have the feel of up-dated ball gowns from Cinderella and romance novels set in the 1800’s. The ball gown silouette in modern, unusual prints. I loved the Lucy Liu gown.

  • charlotte

Wow, this looks a gazillion times better on the model. Did Amy Adams come by and suck out the color?

    • I think it’s the angle and the lighting.  I love it.  The layers of dots are really pretty.

    • Yeah, it somehow looks less vibrant.

      • Monabel

I think the more subdued color-scheme works better.

    • calimon

I’m pretty sure they bumped up the color saturation in Photoshop.

  • Also, I can’t tell if it’s just the lighting, but I wish the colors were as bright and vibrant on Camilla as they are on the model.

  • Ms. Schmidt

Is it me or is the fabric much more vibrant on the model?

  • I love this dress. I wanna wear this dress.

  • Anathema_Device

Agree with the other BKs on the vibrancy on the fabric. Could be the lighting of the lookbook shot (and editing). Love the dress and  the hair, makeup, accessories, too.

  • notterriblybitter

I love this but I have a thing for polka dots. The colors on the model are more, well, colorful. Maybe it’s the lighting? Or maybe it’s the same print in a different palette? Either way, it’s very pretty.

  • I wanted this dress when I saw the model photo awhile back and I still really want it now.

  • teensmom99

Love it.  Fabulous deployment of prints.

  • Laurie Bergman

I love this dress…it fits her well and that print is fascinating…a bolt of Rorschach test fabric!

  • E. D.

Don’t really like whatever that is in the back above the waist (bow?  small ruffles?).  Otherwise, it’s great.

  • I don’t know who she is, but she picked a helluva dress.  Well done.

  • marilyn

I have mixed feelings about this dress.  It has a glorious effect, particularly when in motion.  However, on the down side, the fitted top slices up the print.  If this was off the rack, it would be expected.  But these dresses are VERY expensive, and those buying them should expect to see the fabric cut so its design is not sliced to shreds.

  • Introspective

Beautiful dress with a perfect fit and good hair/makeup/accesories that dont fight the busy print. In all, well done Camilla.

  • leave_Blake_alone

[Repeating what everyone else is saying] Gorgeous, but looks so much better with the brighter colors on the model. But still, gorgeous.

    •  I actually prefer it in the more muted colours. I think the floppy bow at the waist is a waste of fabric though.

  • MilaXX

    Pretty. Well done all around.

  • butterflysunita

    Beautiful.  I love that dress.

  • Sara__B

Very pretty. I like it better with the more vibrant colors, but Camilla looks fabulous in her more muted version.

  • Annabelle Archer

I love it and I need an excuse to have it in my life.

  • Love this. It’s pretty and feminine.

  • … what does she DO? p.s. i kinda love the dress, actually.

  • Guidosdaddy

I’ve only seen her in one movie where she didn’t talk so I don’t much about her acting abilities, but give her some violet contacts and she could be Scorsese’s Liz.

  • boweryboy

Her hair is a mess, but I love the dress…on the model.

Carolina Herrera makes very pretty dresses but somehow, someway something gets lost in translation from runway to real life.

  • shes’s soooo irritating. i think it’s the new ‘of course’ moment.

  • Pterodactyl111

    Wow, that’s gorgeous.

  • Monday1900

It looks so pretty on the model but the color looks washed out in real life.  Odd.

  • This is cool. It looks like you should need 3-D glasses to view it properly.

  • sharialbert

really pretty but why the hell are people afraid of a color lip? over the nude lip for red carpet.

  • Why is it so faded on her? The model’s dress looks high contrast, but hers seems a little dull in comparison. Still beautiful and a lovely choice in a sea of bland dresses. Hair could use just a little more styling – I’d have added some soft ringlets to hearken to the circles in the dress.

  • kmk05

Oh my, how come I LOVE all the Carolina Herrera this year? There was the constellation dress and now this! Perfection. I always thought she had old designs: oh well, I’ll just pop in and add these to my collection, of course 😀

I think this is perfect. The colours might be a little washed out but both the makeup and the hair and the earrings make this OMGAMAZEBALLS.

  • guest2visits

Beautiful!  Would like to see an all out smile instead of posey face.

  • julnyes

I really like the layers of dots and the bodice has a nice structure to it.

  • Trisha26

  • SewingSiren

    Jaw dropping.

  •  I actually like this — it’s fun, flirty, and if I were her age with her fame and figure, I’d wear it too!

  • sweet_potato

I love it, prints are so now.

  • gabbilevy

    I *LOVE* this.

  • ralish

it reminds me of a fashion-y version of Betty’s sad clown dress. No?

  • filmcricket

  • quiltrx

That’s a killer gown.  I feel like she should look a lot happier wearing it, though!
(maybe she misses the glorious Adonis, Tim Tebow.)

  • pookiesmom

  • jw_ny

Pretty. Love the print.   I bet that gown looks great in motion.

  • ojosazules

  • If I were a red carpet walker, I would wear this in a heartbeat. … Hey! Now I know what it feels like to be a vapid PR starlet guest judge! THRILLING!!!

  • Gorgeous.

  • fursa_saida

    I LOVE this.

  • barbarienne

I like it better in the model photo. I wonder where the color shift came in. I hope it’s just something wonky in the photography on Camilla.

  • Frank Lithium

  • jenuwefa

    I love this. Period.

  • make it in plus size without making it clowny (which is probably impossible?).  if that can happen, i want it now.

  • So apparently I’m the only one who looks at this and sees dormroom bedsheets.

    • bd73

no, you’re not. but i still like it. the fit and weight are fantastic.

  • decormaven

There’s just no life in her face- this is such a pretty dress, and if she looked half as excited as the vibrancy of the dress and its colors, it would be stunning. I do like the choice of earrings, though.

  • bluefish

    Love it!

  • Little_Olive

I love it. It suits her so well. wish the color had been more like the original, although this gives it more of a winter-y look.

  • afabulous50

    I love it…so very pretty.

  • BayTampaBay

    Not Bad at all.

  • B_C_J

Beautiful, soft and romantic and yet the print makes it current.  This is a wonderful dress and I LOVE Carolina Herrera.

  • I love this dress. She wears it well. However, not liking the hair or earrings…

  • AlinaValero

I think it fits her perfectly, is really interesting and unique, and is perfect for the venue!! love it!

  • I love this. LOVE it.

  • Beautiful.

  • Judy_J

    Love this dress. Gorgeous fabric!

  • BrooklynBomber

    I love it.

  • I don’t love the print itself, the dots seem too big.  But otherwise i like it, maybe if the design of the print had been on a smaller scale it would have worked better.

  • oohsparkley!

I love this so hard!!! I would totally wear this in my fantasy life.

  • Alyssa Stanfield

I like it, but wish she would have smiled!

  • crash1212

LOVE. Ms. Herrera has been killing it with cool prints/textiles of late. This is a beautiful, flirty, feminine dress and it looks fab on Camille up there. I love the fact that she didn’t tart it up with a lot of jewels – let the dress do the talking and add just a touch of bling. Nicely done.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Lovely. Too bad she coordinates with the backdrop and carpeting.

  • Oh my gosh, j’adore the gown on the model!

  • flower753

Love love love love love! But I have an undying love of polka-dots.

  • I rather like the more muted palette of Camilla’s dress…..a little more subtle.  I think she looks gorgeous from head to toe.  One of the few instances I know where the current trend for sheer fabric actually works and is an integral part of the design.  So many other examples–Rachel Weisz at the Golden Globes, for instance–seem like a design afterthought at best or a mere pandering to trendiness at worst: “Oooh!  Let me throw a sheer over this mini!  Everyone will think my designs are up to date!”  This dress is true to itself and its designer’s very high standards for loveliness, while giving a nod to being up-to-date.  Bravo.

  • stubbornthoughts

Holy crap do I love this print. I want that gown for myself. But totally strapless.

  • Diego!

I think she is rocking it! This dress is much much prettier than the tone Lucy Liu wore at the Golden Globes! You go Camilla! 😀

  • I see this dress and I just want to watch her walk through a room with the floor covered in balloons.  It’s the perfect balloon dress.

  • alyce1213

I love this, just gorgeous.  I prefer the more subdued tones on Camilla to the bolder ones on the model.

  • Kristy Evans

SO CUTE. I also may have an unhealthy obsession with polka dots.

  • mhleta

I also much prefer the vibrant version. The bodice has a wrong-side-out quality to it otherwise. Having said that, everything else is dynamite here. I have to ask after seeing this and the Stella McCartney dress on whoever that was– are crazy spots having a big moment this season? Is this a first?

  • ankali

Super cute. Not my favorite from the collection, but very pretty.

  • formerlyAnon

I love it. LOVE it. Hair could be waaay better, it looks messy in a bad way.

  • FACE.

  • Kathy_Marlow

I love this, but I do love a polka dot..It’s sort of trippy, but in the best way possible.

  • EEKstl

I LOVE this, now I just have to decide if I prefer the brightly-colored version the model is wearing or the more subdued, wintry tones of Camille’s.

  • WERQ!! beautiful girl and dress.  Saw an interview with Carolina Herrera on Cinemoi channel where where she said this collection was all about “movement and flirtation”.  When you watch the video of the runway, it was stunning the way the fabrics moved on the models.  Brava, Carolina!

  • Louise Bryan

I think Carolina Herrera is all about pretty.

  • warnerave

  • librarygrrl64

This is lovely, and the entire look is very well put-together (although I would have chosen a more interesting earring). Hurrah for patterns!

  • calimon

Le Sigh! She really is a natural beauty. Aside, from that, she is werqin’ this dress!

  • Umm…  Gorgeous.

  • kathrineb

I wish the dots were as colorful as on the runway version…perhaps its just the lighting or something.

  • OneRing

  • ccm800

  • Addooorree.

  • That dress is really gorgeous
