Is she serving drinks at this party?  Because that is a Vegas cocktail waitress outfit.

      • homofascist

And for the record, I *LOVE* Vegas cocktail waitresses.  Gay man + big tips = lots of lots of cocktail love.

    • imspinningaround

The top fits beautifully, but I almost feel like the shorts need to be…tighter?  And actually black (or even white or brilliant blue), not charcoal gray?

      • kimmeister

I’ve been trying to figure out if the shorts are actually supposed to be gray, or if it’s just a mismatched black with the top.

      • Karen Maslowski

Funny, I was thinking that the top is too tight in the bust.

      • barbarienne

My thoughts exactly. I was like, “If you’re going to wear black leather top and black leather shorts, they must be the same black.” Or else go full-on contrast so no one is confused as to intention.

      • http://twitter.com/ladonnazc LaDonna Carpenter

The shorts need to be either shorter or longer.  They’re hitting in the awkward spot that make any woman’s thighs look chunky – and Ashley does NOT have chunky thighs in the least! I think I could like that top a LOT with something different on the bottom.

    • shirab

Well, I guess she looks as good as it’s possible to look in black leather shorts. With pumps.

    • decormaven

It’s a look, I suppose. But it’s got nothing to recommend it- pedestrian jewelry, purple nail polish, and a clutch that probably was in the Wynn swag bag.

      • Deb_Lynn

agreed. I think it needed a big chunky pendant, not that weird looking (with this outfit anyway) necklace.

    • LLuL

      No.

    • http://www.facebook.com/fiddlecub Kevin VanOrd

She’s 25–and in theory, young enough (probably) to rock that dress. But it ultimately looks juvenile to me, in part because the shorts say “high-schooler going to the mall.” Also: the makeup and hair age her, compounding the problem. I just don’t feel this one.

      • FrayedMachine

Wow. She’s 25? I definitely thought she was at least 30.

      • greyhoundgirl

And the shorts have threads hanging from them, which I don’t think is part of the design!

        • Carly Warnock

Yes I noticed that and cringed! Were they hacked?

        • alyce1213

It looks like sloppy/frayed lining coming out.

    • MoHub

      Must. Stop. Scrolling. Down.

      • 3boysful

I know. I viscerally recoiled.  She’s a tiny slip of a thing, and those shorts turn her legs into tree trunks.  Big ol out!

    • Jessica Rowe

oh no no no. no no.

    • http://www.facebook.com/D.D.D.Dino Dino Bonačić

omg this is wrong. IN SO MANY WAYS

    • FrayedMachine

Nope. Nope nope. First of all it’s winter. Second of all no. I don’t think there’s a single thing from the neck down that I actually like.

    • eowyn_of_rohan

      STOP PUTTING PEPLUM ON EVERYTHING!!!!!

      ….I feel better now.

      • Sara LaBatt

        Peplums?  Pepla?

        • schadenfreudelicious

          Pepli??

          • Hetha Innis

            Peplae

            • quiltrx

              THIS.  Feels very Latin.

            • TropiCarla

              Peplui

              Peplural

This discussion makes me giggle. I have been trying to get my co-workers on board with making “spice” the plural of “spouse.” Friends, family, and spice are welcome at the office holiday party. *heh heh*

    • greyhoundgirl

      Oh dear.

    • Annabelle Archer

Oh honey, no.  The blacks don’t even match and she looks like she’s just begging for a yeast infection.

      • FrayedMachine

I am so glad I wasn’t drinking anything when I read this. Holy wow was this asking for a spit take.

        • Annabelle Archer

In retrospect, I’m wishing I had said “itching for a yeast infection” that’s funnier.

      • StephanieLovesTLo

        spit take! lol!

      • schadenfreudelicious

yup, i feel a Monistat moment in the making here….

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

SCROLLDOWN FUG. I love her. She is beautiful and very funny on twitter (I’ve never seen her in a movie). And down to the waist she looks great but serious fuckery of the nether-regions. At least match your leathers.

    • MilaXX

Pretty standard, don’t like the shoe

    • KQ67

The top looks like it’s squashing her breasts down and the rest of the outfit…*shudder*.

    • cleverlady

No, no, no, no…NO. I don’t care how slammin your   body is, this is a black leather tank top with a peplum and black leather shorts, with a sport-short profile, AND black pumps.
      Say it with me: NO.
Even if you are in Las Vegas.

    • EEKstl

The top is actually cute but a million times OUT waist-down.  And look at those threads hanging down from the hem of her shorts?  Out AND messy!

    • schadenfreudelicious

      i’ll take a vodka tonic please…..

    • B_C_J

The top is beautiful and it fits very well.  However paired with the shorts, the entire look gets downgraded. A pencil skirt in fabric appropriate for evening would have done the top better justice.

    • Puck Thornton

Did she hide her gimp mask in that handbag?

    • teensmom99

When you are as beautiful as she is you can wear almost anything and still beautiful.  But just because you can wear it doesn’t mean you should.Interestingly, the top fits her better than leather tops usually fit–but still no excuse.

    • OneRing

Tacky. So in that regard, perhaps perfect for a LV/Wynn to-do.  But really? No.

    • http://twitter.com/Nancer Nancer

Isn’t it like 50 degrees in Las Vegas? How does this outfit even make sense?

    • http://aldonsusi.blogspot.com/ Susi R

Black leather shorts for a restaurant opening? TACKY imo

    • hughman

      S&M gym class.

    • BookJunkie315

If you’re going to rock this much leather, your attitude really needs to be more fierce. You’re in LEATHER – please act accordingly!

    • Rand Ortega

This is real photographic evidence of the perils of putting 3 short lived trends together : Peplum + Shorts+ Leather = Crap.

    • Lilak

Pretty lady from the neck up … a cascade of errors from the neck down.

(One tiny note: Glad she resisted the current pale nude lip fad. Just a hint of color improves the odds that a nude shade won’t work against you.)

    • Imasewsure

This seems like a great choice for a restaurant opening in Vegas… just wish there were more contrast in the colors here since it’s kind of dull… don’t like that type of top but that’s just me. She looks beautiful as usual

    • AuntieAnonny

Her head can stay, but the rest of her isn’t invited.

    • BrooklynBomber

If someone like her doesn’t look good in this outfit, who would?

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_U5LTVYHX32MGMMXR33G7TOXVR4 Magdalena Monzerrat Ontiveros

Up: classic chic, Bottom: NY whore!

    • meebs

      Hotpants and leather…heh.

    • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

Cute top, WTBH shorts? They’re riding up her butt, they make her legs look huge, and are those loose threads hanging off the left hem? Did she show up so late they just shoved her in front of the cameras without straightening out her clothes?

    • crash1212

I guess the good news is that if you spilled something on that get up, it would wipe right off?

    • Alyssa Stanfield

That top with some colored skinny pants would be such a fun outfit! I’m not really a fan of the formal shorts, and I wish she had a different necklace. But I like her hair and makeup here!

    • http://twitter.com/Chucko78 Chuck Barthelme

A pencil skirt would have turned this one around. Those shorts are a bit vulgar.

    • http://twitter.com/lisledanielle Danielle Lisle

      Stunning from the neck up.

    • ceceliadid

She was doing so well with all the Donna Karan stuff, and setting up as a muse there …
Might want to find that path again and get on it.

    • AlexisPayne

I don’t care if it is Vegas, this is not good.

    • MissAmynae

It is JANUARY. Put on some damn pants.

    • NDC_IPCentral

I liked the top, then scrolled down and broke one of my New Year’s resolutions not to cuss.

I’ll temper that intemperate remark by substituting YIKES.  Those shorts are wrong-o-rino.

    • mhleta

The top fits her great. The shorts, while not a bad idea, are not the right shorts. These need to be retired. Loose threads and fraying galore. Also, I invite comparison of this outfit to the black leather dress Jennifer Anniston wore recently. Ashley Greene can pull this off because she’s on the right side of the age line. Leather should never go next to sun damaged skin, IMO.

    • Airkisses

Were the ladystars expected to wear all black at this event? It’s the same event as Krysten Ritter’s picture from today, and she was wearing all black, too, down to the shoes and clutch.

    • http://twitter.com/Bloodisea Barbora

      No darling.

    • http://www.facebook.com/sally.mabadi Sally Shield Mabadi

When are leather shorts ever a good idea? I can’t imagine.

    • Zippypie

Skinny pants would have been perfect with this top.  This is too much.

    • Trisha26

A peplum (in leather!) and shorts (in leather!). Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo…

    • http://frockpaperscissors.blogspot.com/ kvlm

Out and yikes.  Leather with shorts with heels?  This is not a look that needs repeating.

    • PrunellaV

Just in from a leather picnic.

    • formerlyAnon

My first thought: They’re having celebrity waitresses at this event?

    • a_liking

the shorts are a little jank but from the hips up I really dig the look. she is rocking the leather shirt imo.

    • http://twitter.com/Eovaai Eovaai

      Isn’t it winter there?

    • kathrineb

I really like the top (I guess I’m odd for enjoying the peplum trend). I think she looks good. Not liking the other necklace or the shoes.
I do think she pulls this off.
The top probably would have looked better with a pencil skirt and a statement necklace.

    • understateddiva

Shorts fit for Richard Simmons’ night out on the town.  Just no.  (sorry for the mental image)

    • quiltrx

I like the top (maybe a skosh tight)…but I think I’d like it a lot better with a wildly-patterned skirt or pants.  The shorts actually make it boring/cheap looking.

And why is the the hem of the left shorts leg so ragged?

    • Haley Buchanan

Are the shorts grey?  They need to be hot pink or something like that.  I kinda dig the leather peplum top though!

    • librarygrrl64

      No. Nononononononono. No.

    • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Um can you just hear that outfit as she tries to sit down to a table to eat?  SKWWEEEEEAK!  And those shorts! They will rise so far that at the table – it IS a restaurant, right? she will then be wearing a thong.  Jeez.  NO.

    • Pterodactyl111

      Nope. Nopey nope nope.

    • Miss_Led

      Scrolldown WTF-ery.

    • brcjo28

A 25 she sure is looking an awful lot like Sela Ward.

    • guest2visits

The shorts don’t work because they don’t look as sophisticated as the top; they’re a different color, they’re cut like gym shorts,
      and they have hanging threads.

    • lalahartma

      The shorts are terrible.
