Krysten Ritter in Monique Lhuillier on Jay Leno

Posted on December 10, 2012

We’ve got a couple perfect little Holiday frocks in the pipeline for today, so let’s start with Miss Krysten, who clearly loves both the dress she’s wearing and the shoes she’s dying to show off.

Krysten Ritter makes an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ in a Monique Lhuillier dress accessorized with Jimmy Choo sandals.

Cute. And yes, dear; the shoes really are quite fierce.

  • The shoes are quite fierce but I’m not sure it goes well with the dress.

    • Especially since the lips, dress, and nails are all so damn matchy!

      • gabbilevy

The matchy suits her tho. She kills at that funky retro style that she loves.

  • My sorority’s flower is the rose, and our mascot is the zebra, so obviously I am COVETING this dress.

    • I covet, too, while knowing that it would look absolutely like ass on me. Sigh!

  • charlotte

She looks fantastic, but the lighting on the runway makes the dress- literally- shine more.

  • RebeccaKW

Love the dress and shoes, but I’m not digging the matching nails and lips.

    • lovelyivy

Agreed. It’s a step too far.

  • Made for someone with dark hair.  Fabulous.

  • She’s like a sexy Christmas ornament!  Don’t know who she is but this is a perfectly adorable look head to toe.

    • twocee

      She’s the “B” in Apt 23.

      • sweetlilvoice

She was also on a season of Breaking Bad too.

        • AND she was Lucy in Gilmore Girls, one of Rory’s friends.

Love the dress and the girl in general but again, here I am hating a pair of shoes most people like.

          • LesYeuxHiboux

I’m with you on the shoe-hate. Something for a “slutty goddess” Halloween costume.

  • Tamara Hogan

    Her coloring is absolutely exquisite.

    • littlemac8

Agree and it’s so much fun to seeing her embrace her coloring rather than the many brunettes who become washed out bottle blondes!

  • Tatiana Luján

Is there anything less season-appropriate than sandals in December?

    • MaryMitch

I don’t see a problem with them – this is Los Angeles, after all. It’s not like she’s wading through a foot of snow.

      • Tatiana Luján

You may be right.  I just think it’s weird.

  •  Great dress, and great shoes, but I agree with Vivi N that maybe the shoes belong with another outfit.

  • afabulous50

Oh dear God – who cares if her lips and nails match her dress??  She looks great.

  • SewingSiren

She looks fantastic , and nearly always does. To bad the show she is on is utter crap.

  • nannypoo

This is the first time I have ever liked red lace, I guess because it’s not delicate and prissy looking. I love everything about this look.

    • Introspective

Agreed. Lace can be so old lady widow or just uptight in general but this is lace with an edge tha is also applied with restraint. Homegirl looks fab because the dress is a knockout and so is she.

  • Love this look.  And I want to push her down and steal her shoes. Those are so hot!

  • Judy_J

The shoes are killer.  Nice dress, too.

  • filmcricket

It’s the California version of Christmas dressing: short-sleeved red dress, gold sandals. She looks killa *and* seasonally appropriate.

  • crash1212

Krysten wins “Best Posture” for the day. Love the outfit and the shoes are killer. Perfect hair and make-up, too. Nicely done!

  • bertkeeter

  • Kayceed

This is something about this girl – I’m always interested in how she puts herself together.

  • LLuL

I want to like the dress, but I think she needed classier hair to keep the red lace from looking trashy. Especially with matching red lipstick. Yeah…the more I look, the less I like.

  • Pants_are_a_must

You’d think that dress with those shoes would scream “FIERCE AND SEXY” at you, but everything above the neck is so cutesy, it dials down the whole look into “SEXY but APPROACHABLE”, which, honey, no. You wanna dress fierce? You gotta OWN the fierce.

  • Trisha26

The dress is really cute, the shoes are slutty.

  • Cutey, cute, cuteness. Love the whole look. Love that her hair is up and not covering the interesting neckline. Shoes are fantabulous.

  • sweetlilvoice

My girl crush! She looks great, very festive. Love the shoes.

  • MilaXX

    Cute chat show look

  • I like the dress and the shoes, but I’m not sure if I like them together. But the dress looks great on her.

  • ecallaw1977

That’s a WERQ for me.  Love every bit of it.

  • jenno1013

Not digging the sheer zebra overlay…verges into skin-condition territory for me.

  • Cousin_Rose

  • kimmeister

I hate the shoes, but the color of that dress is fantastic on her.  I’m wearing almost the same color today with drastically less success.

  • sk8tfan

I think she looks darling and I like it on her better than the model. It suits her coloring better.

  • neofashionista

    No animal print at Christmas
    Absolutely Not
    this is OUT for me

  • Allison Woods

Not mad about the matching lipstick, but I love it otherwise. She looks adorbs.

  • Lilithcat

Dress is cute, shoes are godawful.

  • Wow.  KILLING IT!

  • is it just me or is the bust of the dress fitting a little wonky? makes her look like her boobs start at the bottom of her ribs…

  • Jackie4g

She’s adorable in her festive red dress. She carries the red lips beautifully and I don’t mind that the nails match, too. I really do not think those are the right shoes for this. They are too distracting. Simple pointy toed dark colored pumps. Could be black suede, could be navy satin, could be hunter green velvet, although then people might get mad at the obvious Christmas reference. Just not metallic nor Gladiator like. Little dark pumps would  be enough.

  • akprincess72

She’s on my irrational hate list.  She just BUGS me…

  • That color reminds me of Tobasco sauce. Sorry.

  • Lace up to the neck always reminds me of the 90s. (In a bad way)

  • decormaven

Like the shoes, like the dress, but don’t like them together. Smart play not to wear gold earrings- with those shoes and her nail/lipcolor, it would have been a trifecta of matchy.

  • Love her as an actress. She looks quite poised here and certainly knows how to sit in an interview chair. The outfit is a bit much for an interview for my taste. You already are the center of attention in an interview, so you don’t really need to go over the top in your style. I’m not saying she should dress like she’s going to a funeral, but this is nightclub wear to my eye.

  • BigShamu

I’ve got some fierce love going on for Krysten Ritter and her sitcom.  Anyone who can make me laugh out loud after some seriously long days at work earns my love.  I will be forever grateful for Smackwich (which makes me giggle even now).  As for the dress and shoes, luscious.
