Very pretty but it doesn’t do much for her shape.

    • Mary229

It might if she had better posture…

  • G

    So fed up with lace.

    •  So glad I’m not the only one. I think I’m almost at the puking stage of lace hate!

      • j_anson

I think the problem for me is not lace per se, but that the current lace trend keeps essentially trying to make lace edgy in various ways, and all they’re doing from my perspective is repeatedly demonstrating that lace mostly looks like crap when not deployed in the traditionally feminine styles it was previously associated with.

  • Sure, OK.

  • Vera L-

wow, the hair looks reasonably clean, the nails are painted, suggestion of a smile. Wonder what the occasion really is?

  • I don’t think this is her dress. It looks oddly old on her, like someone tucked Great Grandma’s 40’s evening dress, into a long black skirt.

    • That’s exactly what it looks like to me.

      • If she turns around, would she have the back of her skirt stuck in her support hose?

  • Twilight fan fic (if you can write fan fic without being a fan) – Bella’s previous incarnation was as an Edwardian governess but Edward lost her to the werewolf.

  • She just makes you want to bathe her, doesn’t she?

    • MissMariRose

If by “bathe,” you mean throw her into a river with a fast current, then yes. Yes, she does.

    • gabbilevy

I would love for her to disappear for a long, long time.

  • charlotte

Who cares about Kristen Stewart? Cathy Cambridge is finally expecting!

    • Really??!!! Good for them. I can’t wait to see what she wears.

    • cbt22

Congratulations to the Cambridges, but I find that phrase so weird. This joke didn’t originate with me, but I used it a lot when I was pregnant and someone made a comment about “expecting”: Well, we’re expecting a baby. But it COULD be a velociraptor!

      • Lol! When people asked my husband if he wanted a boy or a girl, he would always say “But I have three choices: he, she or it!” He would have loved the velociraptor idea!

    • Jennifer L.

I know! Come on T&Lo! Pics of the princess!

      •  She’s in hospital – maybe we can cut her some slack on looking stylish for a bit?

        • Jennifer L.

Whoops. Did not know that. Sorry that my enthusiasm for the lovely woman came across as insensitivity for her health!

  • Patricia Gillett

Is the pole-dance for this movie over yet? I’m tired of her. Move along.

    • dress_up_doll

      Beyond tired!

    • MilaXX

  • Qitkat

    Strike four!
Is that a blouse/skirt or a gown? Because I might like that top if it were paired with something else. It is just oddly chopped off here, design wise.

  • unbornfawn

Why do I feel like there should be a thought bubble over her head saying something like, “here’s a damn dress you bitter kittens, screw you!”

  • formerlyAnon

I owned a skirt much like this, in my 20s, which I loved, before I had admitted to myself that I am short, I am always going to be short, and that having an hourglass curve going on between waist and ankles is not flattering unless one is going for the “pocket Venus” effect.

I don’t love how this fits, it seems a bit tight in the hips, nor do I think it flatters – she’s not that thick waisted. But she looks not-unhappy and appropriate. Though I think she looked happier and more “her” in the much reviled t-shirt and plaid slacks.

  • ralish

I think she looks lovely. Pretty makeup

    • kimmeister

      The blush is particularly nice.

  • Oh, come on!! This just pisses me off! All that youth and money had she gives us a lumpy bodice, an acetate skirt and a capped sleeve that makes her arms look like a Christmas ham. She just moved to the top of my Shit List.

  • siriuslover

The gown is pretty and she looks nice.

  • RedRaven617

Would it kill her to just smile fully for once. She always looks like a sourpuss to me.

  • Trisha26

No matter what she puts on it looks like she doesn’t care. And that makes whatever she puts on look messy.

  • Judy_J

I don’t hate this, but I don’t much like it, either.

  • Oh, haters. I rarely have love for the KStew but this is pretty.

  • Judy_S

I can see why, as a vampire groupie, she would choose this, but it’s ridiculously old for her.

  • MilaXX

She looks fine. Could use  belt though.

  • snarkykitten

I can almost hear her thinking “oh fuck off. I’ve got my bits covered and my hair’s washed. Whaddya want from me?”

like she doesn’t understand what the hell she got herself into with this movie series

  • HomeOfficeGirl

Kind of overkill on the conservative side for her.  She’d confuse me, if I cared.

  • rloliveira

It just needs a belt. Her makeup is very pretty.

  • Like the bodice and the makeup. The skirt does bad things for her body. Hate the hair.

  • I refuse to like anything she wears until she stops with that dumb hairstyle.

  • MsOlympia

Looks like she rubbed her eyes real good before stepping out of the limo.

  • ojosazules

I agree that with a belt this would work. I love the skirt, but it could fit a little better. I’m not loving these tops with the beige expanse inserts.

  • Big improvement over what we’ve been seeing from her lately. Tired of the hair.

  • Te makeup is awful, it looks very bad applied! I like everything else, so Kristen!

  • I expected a back shot of something surprising.

  • Jillaine13

I’ve given up hope that she’s going to do anything with her hair so moving on – she needs to stand up straight.  It would improve the clothes she wears.  It looks like she has the cramps.

  • RocknRollmom

Had to laugh because my first glance at description was Stewart in “Talbot’s Runoff”!  I immediately thought that Kristen’s stylist had completely lost her mind by putting her in a “dead president’s wife suit” (my children’s description of Talbot’s clothes).  Still chuckling to self.  I like this.  It is a lovely, but a litle old for her.  I would be happy to take it from her, but I think one probably needs to be younger and more perky shall we say to carry off the plunging lace insert.

    • Snailstsichr

       I went there, too.

  • butter nut

i kind of love this.  like crazy love it.  this was everything that amy adams’ look was trying to be, but way more fresh.  i dont know whats up with this girl, but she’s been killing it for me on the carpet.

    • Mary229

Honestly…I would have liked to have seen the two swap dresses.  I would haved liked to have seen THIS dress on Ms. Amy (because she has better posture to stand up straight in it) and the other dress on Kristen.

  • guest2visits

No.  And if you’re going to pose like that; don’t ever wear a long skirt that way again. You’re standing as if you’re in a tiny, tight
short frock, or a pair of jeans.  Not a form fit gown.  Jesus H; I feel like my mother. Stand up straight and for God’s sake put your
knees together, young lady.   The top is quite beautiful, the bottom does nothing for it; OLD. Gorgeous face and hair though.

  • erinbinek

This is fine.  But I can’t get past that hair.

  • Sorry, but that skirt looks like something an orchestra member would wear.

    • alyce1213

Bingo.  The top, too.  For a “special” concert.

  • VicksieDo

    Great makeup….

  • marilyn

From the neck up, she looks like she is 14.  The dress is for a 50 year old. The band across the bottom of the sleeve is just one of the things wrong with it.

  • Mary229

I actually think the dress is lovely.  Part of the problem is that she has terrible posture which affects everything she wears.  It’s particularly noticeable in a gown like this.  I also think I would have liked this better with her hair up and a darker lip.  If you are going to play the elegant, vintage vibe…then just go with it.  The hair doesn’t go here.

  • Ros

Stand up straight, stop clenching your fists, and do something with your hair.

    Pretty dress, though.

  • j_anson

Hey, at least it’s not a visual slap in the face.

  • Kate4queen

She looks like she wants to punch someone. Dress is ok but the Talbot bit threw me for a second…

  • demidaemon

Well, another ugly dress from Kstew. Yay.

  • does nothing for her body, but her hair and makeup are gorgeous!

  • Joyce VG

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

    Oh just go away, already.

  • ballerinawithagun

    Should have just been Talbot’s.

  • SorayaS

Stop smirking, unclench your fists, and lose the teenage posture.

  • MaryanneGirl

I just can’t with that damn hairstyle anymore. I can’t handle the swooped over tangled mess slop. I don’t care if this is your favorite, I don’t care if this is your style. I don’t care. I can’t do it. It’s obnoxious and not appropriate for EVERY event you ever go to.

  • cleep1000

Her make-up is flawless. Really love the smoky eye. Hair’s a bit of a mess. The skirt is working for her.

  • Amateur seamstress working with lace alert!!  There should NEVER be darts in lace- especially deep ones like these.  If you can’t piece the galloons together to make it look seamless, then (dammit!) turn it into a princess seam.  That shit really hurts my eyes and insults my teeny-tiny sewing skills.  Talbot Runhof ought to be ashamed.

  • barbarienne

Grading on a curve for her, I’m darned pleased. She even has -GASP- a smile in at least three of the photos! Her eyes have expression in them! This may be the first time I’ve ever seen her and thought she might be able to carry on an entertaining conversation.

  • quiltrx

The top part is okay, if a little cheap-looking…but I just can’t with the abrupt stop at the waist.  It’s unflattering, and it looks like a blouse and skirt from two completely different outfits.  Ick.

  • GorgeousThings

When I first glanced at the front page, I thought this said, “Kristen Stuart in Talbots Runoff”, and I had to chuckle, because this looks like something that you’d find in the back of a Talbots’ clearance rack back in the 80s.

  • Cannot stand her hair, even though it seems better combed this time. still.

  • glennethph

She really doesn’t care.  “I have millions, IDGAF what you mofos think”

  • She never looks anything other than a sulky teen to me. A sulky teen dressed up, or dressed like a wannabe. Meh.

  • Valerie Jones

    Downton Crabby.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

    Stupid hair.

  • lrober03

If you chopped that into a miniskirt, maybe she would crack a real smile.

  • ShayShay

She looks like a mean b*tch.  May be that’s her intent.

  • kschwarting

I wish her blush were toned down a bit–she has lovely skin.
