      sexy barnacles

    • Pencil shavings.

  • Makes her look very washed out

  • Love love the dress. Hate the hair and clutch

  • Calinda_L

It’s a pretty dress, I guess (though I’m not much of a fan of the neckline), but it really does nothing for her. She *should* look sexy and womanly and curvy and sophisticated, but… not so much.

  • I love the dress, but not with her skin tone. Again with the Deco vibe dress. Her hair and face are lovely.

Is Art Deco/Art Nouveau going to be a thing now? Because if so, I’m going to be a very happy girl for the next little while.

    • Watts

Me too. Big fan of Art Deco styles.

    • LCTerrill

Oh goodness, me too. The build-up to “The Great Gatsby” is going to be EPIC.

  • MilaXX

Cute dress, nice face, really bad shoe and either she wears her hair down, or adds a better earring.

  • kikisayshi

Ohhh, this is one of those that I wish was not posted in the Whiteboard so I can see TLo rip it to shreds. Love her though.

  • kimmeister

I was about to say “at least she doesn’t have the crazy eyeshadow that the model has,” but on second thought, at least the crazy eyeshadow would be an interesting “accessory,” unlike everything she has here.

    • Flora O

       Yeah, she needs that fascinator.

  • jilly_d

    no, honey.

  • gabbilevy

I like it much better on the model. I think it’s because Ems might be too short for the dress, but also there seems to be a lot more of the black edging on the model’s version, or more of those … scales? On Emily, they look like weird roof tiles, on the model there’s more texture to the pattern.

Josh needs and undershirt and some starch in his collar, but he’s awfully purdy.

  • Hmmm. It’s unusual but she’s making it work! And the makeup is fantastic.

  • Kristin McNamara

    I HATE this dress-length trend.

  • margaret meyers

This dress is adorable, but it is making her look washed out.  She needs better hair and accessories.  A sophisticated dress like this one deserves the right accessories.  Are we getting a little flurry of deco touches?  I’m thinking of the bracelets someone was wearing recently.

    • 3boysful

OK, say we shorten the dress, give her a loose, fluffy updo, strappy black heels, and some bangles–great summer date outfit, right?  (Assuming, of course, that we wear gazillion dollar dresses on our dates.)  Oh, and perhaps a tan because the color is too close to her skin color.

  • formerlyAnon

That’s a lotta dress. I love it. She needed bigger hair to help her head compete. I can’t tell if the dress is a couple of inches too long or if that is the camera angle.

  • Pretty, though the length may be too long? I don’t know. Something’s off.

  • tereliz

Needs better purse, shoes and lippy, then I’ll be all for this look.

  • Trisha26

Not a fan of that dress.

    • crash1212

I see what you did there!

  • Imasewsure

Ugliest clutch of 2012… don’t like the ice skating hair or the length of the dress but she looks pretty anyway

    • Introspective

i hear you on the bad clutch, but ugliest of the year? that needs to be subject to a vote, cause that cream colored domino shit diane kruger was sporting earlier with all the white trimmings on her outfit was pretty damned fug.

      • Imasewsure

I think you may be right. But still the domino clutch would have been cute for a six year old. This one is pure dumpster dive….so maybe ONE of the ugliest of 2012 anyway

  • Josh is DISGRACEFUL. That lack of undershirt? The limp collar? The unbuttoned jacket AND lack of tie? No. He needs to take that off IMMEDIATELY.

I like Emily’s dress, but not with her coloring, and it doesn’t appear to be doing her body any favors either. It just kind of sits there.

  • I like the dress but it needs to be tailored to fit her better… A little nip in at the waist and shorten the hem. Wear her hair loose and maybe a touch more makeup, but the overall look here isn’t so bad.

  • shanna bowie

I really like that dress and need more info on it, if anyone knows where it may be for purchase please message me

    • Sara__B

Try the Alice + Olivia website. Lots of shiny party dresses.

  • Sara__B

She looks as dull as Taylor Swift and Diana Argon. Pretty, but boring.

  • bertkeeter

Not sure which shoe is worse…what she’s wearing or the model! Dumpy or Hooker…no other choices?

  • Visually interesting, but a skosh too long.

  • For a nude dress, this is fun. The pattern is a little funky and sure she looks like she has been covered in tiny chinese fans, but it is bold and exciting in its own way. The yellow bag was not a good choice, but her make up looks great.

  • guest2visits

I love the dress, the clutch brings it down though – and her shoes are looking just as dowdy. Way to ruin a pretty dress!

  • j_anson

Huh, that’s her real smile, not just her Emanda smile.

  • frankystein123

  • julesj

Does the color of the clutch clash with the color of the dress? Oh, and hate the dress; it overwhelms her.

  • SewingSiren

  • ojosazules

What are those things on her feet??

  • quiltrx

I love the dress, but I do wish it were a different color.  Still a pale pastel, but something not-flesh-colored.

  • It’s a pretty dress, but she needs to be “working” it a little more.

  • l_c_ann

I love the dress fabric.  Surely there’s a better design for this fabric.

  • Zippypie

Dress is okay.  It’s that pink lipstick that is just awful.  I can’t stop staring at it.  AWFUL!

  • crash1212

Hike up that hem a few inches and loosen that bun a bit and this coulda been a WERQ to my eye. I really love that dress – so simple in line, so rich in pattern. She also should ditch the school mark shoes for something a bit more playful/sexy.

  • Shoes = BOGO at Payless.

  • Forget her, who’s the MAN?

  • RzYoung

I love this dress but I feel like it’s almost ruined by the frumpy shoes, she defo needed something sexier on the feets!

  • ShayShay

Ugh, yuck.  I never like anything that even resembles scalloping.  This dress looks like what a dangerous killer amoeba looks like under a microscope.  In other words, this dress is capable of causing some horrid disease!!!!!!

  • The shoes are tragic. My grandmas orthopedic shoes have more style :O

  • lovely dress. i like that she chose neutral accessories, but they could be a little sharper.

  • Don’t like the clutch or shoes but the rest is OK.  I really like that she is smiling and seems genuinely quite happy to be there.

  • Tamara Hogan

I like the dress generally, but I think it would look less dowdy with a knee-length hem and a slightly higher heel.

Hate the clutch, but I loathe the color yellow with a seething passion.

  • Looks like she got her accessories at Payless, those shoes are tragic.

  • Awkward hem length.  Hate the clutch. Makeup’s lovely, although not sure about the lipcolor.

  • jw_ny

The dress looks inches too long though, I hate the clutch, and her shoes look dull and too sensible.  She rather lost it in the details.  Love the accessory on her left arm in the 1st pic tho.  😉

  • tojojo

Looks like a dress made of coffee filters for an early round of Project Runway Latvia.

  • decormaven

Great dress with a too-long hem. Unleash her hair- if it’s pulled any tighter, it’s going to come out from the roots. And get a shoe hook-up- those are some sad pumps. They may even be flats or at most a kitten heel, which is really tragic, given this dress.

  • maggiemaybe

I love that dress. I wish it was a little shorter on her.

  • MGMcD

It makes tiny models and actresses look like stuffed sausages, I fear what it would do the mere mortal form. Interesting idea for a dress, but needs more definition. Probably also works better on fair skinned brunettes or redheads vs. blondes. Kind of washes Emily out.

  • Candigirl1968

Wish the dress was shorter and the hair was out.  Has potential, but didn’t get there.

  • librarygrrl64

Oooooo, honey, no. Everything about this is bad for you: color, shape, hemline, accessories, hair.

  • Look at her face in that last picture – young Shirley Jones

  • LeifBallard

I wish it was a little shorter, and wish her hair wasn’t pulled back so tight.
