It’s official. She is on my irrational hate list.

    • HOT. MESS.

      • drdarke

This is what happens when you let your boyfriend shop for you, Ms. Kruger.

I adore Joshua Jackson, but his idea of “stylish” is slipping on a blazer over jeans and a t-shirt….

  • MilaXX

hate the skirt and hate that the bag is bone/off white while the dress trimmings are white white.

    • As they like to say on Project Runway, too many ideas here.

      • To paraphrase Coco Chanel, please remove one design element before you leave the house.

      • Judih1

I agree. And I don’t like her mermaid hair with the roots showing

    • I agree about the different shades of white, but I actually like the dress! Which is surprising since I usually hate sheer skirts.

  • Ugh.  Those tiers remind me of this hideous dress I had in the 70s.

  • Meg0GayGuys6

The one course at BKCC that I FAILED was Appreciation of Sheer.  Hated that class!

    • AlexisPayne

      BKCC? Bitter Kitten Community College?

      • DeborahJozayt

It was founded in 2012 with generous funding by TLo enterprises, LLC. As you can tell, we really like acronyms.

      • Qitkat

        Quick! to the Etsy!

  • kayleymaybe

I’d like it better if the skirt wasn’t so sheer.

  • VicksieDo

    gorgeous dress!

  • fabulousrobots

I love all of it, especially that domino clutch. Super cute!

    • cooperalden

I should hate this dress, but I don’t.  I think it is fun and new and looks like she is going to have fun.

  • HomeOfficeGirl

Interesting?  I guess.  Mostly I don’t love it.  The gray is pretty.  The tiers and sheers are odd.
I really HATE the clutch – looks like she found that in my son’s toybox.
Her hair and make up look really gorgeous – esp. the hair which for her is usally pretty blah.

  • gabbilevy

I almost love this but the sheerness of the skirt kills it. Also, I DO love the domino clutch, but it doesn’t go with this dress.

  • That ruffle really needs to be in front of the dress, like in the runway version.  Hate mixing cold and warm white-ish colors.

  • Lisa M. (ReVoir) Kramp

    In a word, no.

  • BazoDee

I feel like it shouldn’t work -but it does. As always helped by flawless hair and make-up.

  • Oh, wow, fugly dress. Cute belt, cute clutch, and she of course is wicked gorgeous, but that dress is FUGLY.

  • filmcricket

    Miss Havisham meets E.V.E.

Love the clutch, but it doesn’t go with the rest of the dress. Really am not pleased that the go-to neutral has shifted from “nude” to grey. So instead of looking naked, everyone can look naked and dead for two days.

  • Rand Ortega

To quote Tim Gunn– “That’s a lotta look!”

  • alyce1213

Night of the Living Dead dress.

  • clevRcat

I just don’t care for the “blah grey” trend or the “flouncy” trend or the “tiered” trend or the “sheer” trend.  And here’s a dress that has it all.

  • ojosazules

The longer, thinner black on the belt as seen on the model makes this disaster fractionally better. One long gray ruffle drooping down the front of the dress is a tiny bit better than having two spare napkin looking ones. The domino clutch and robot belt clash.
I don’t understand the intent here.

    • kimmeister

Exactly, that belt has nothing to do with that dress.  Like the clutch a lot, but it doesn’t go either.

  • eowyn_of_rohan

    That dress needs Prozac.

    • DeborahJozayt

      And a little wind machine.

  • Imasewsure

I like it but the sheerness on the bottom is too distracting with the white/black accents… I’d say “either/or” would have improved the look a lot…. although this is the first thing in a long time she has worn that I actually kind of like… she must be so pleased…..

  • BrooklynBomber

What the hell? I mean, it’s so over the top ridic that it’s almost intriguing, but in the end, no.  Seems like there’s a disconnect between her taste in clothes (which veers toward “edgy”), and her girl-next-door looks.

  • MarissaLG

Not a fan of this at all. That clutch would be awesome for Katy Perry though, if she wants to dress up as a backgammon board or something.

  • elirt

Scroll down fug – if only it stopped at the first skirt ruffle.

  • Dust mote dress. Like those old swiffer commercials with the personified grime – she’d be the dust on the cablebox.

  • lehen

the domino clutch is adorable.  the rest is blah.

  • Oh god no.

  • Trisha26

Total miss for me all around. That dress has just too much going on – ruffles, see-through skirt, criss-cross straps – and a control panel!

  • tereliz

DIANE! Dirty cooch curtains are not a good look on anyone.

This dress is absolutely horrid and seriously, I let a lot of ugly slide without comment because I know the camera can lie like a dog and screw up things like proportion, color, sheerness…

But this is a WHOLE LOT OF UGLY. All in one dress. I was going to say it might look better as a mini-dress, but only for skating with Pacey at Rockefeller. Plus a white fur turban. That would be great! 😉

    • teensmom99

I’ve got to see her in that white fur turban!!!

  • Ugh, no. Looks like old bedskirts sewn together and given a bad 80s belt for some shape.

  • She’s gorgeous, the dress is hideous.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

She looks like a dirty lampshade.  Also, she needs to touch up her roots.

  • Only she could pull this off.

  • teensmom99

This is a great color for a pair of wool pants but not a great color for a sheer, ruffly dress. the other problem is that this is a sheer, ruffly dress.

  • PeggyOC

Scroll down fug.  It was all good (in a Only Kruger can wear this way) until the knees and then it went to transparent granny nightie land.

  • warnerave

the dress would have been nice if its RED or ORANGE

  • Dirty dish water grey dress.

  • REALLY not a fan. At least she’s not sporting “errand hair.”

  • Little_Olive

Not a fan of the trimming on the dress’ layers. Hate how the dress tends to romantic and then that belt is all futuristic.

  • l_c_ann

I don’t like the dress, nor do I understand it.  But this was a Thing to honor Tarantino, who I don’t understand much of the time.  So, maybe (long credibility stretch) the dress is appropriate for the occassion.

  • bertkeeter

Belt has her name and address engraved on it just in case she gets lost!

  • Kenisha Hill Phillips

It’s like she tripped and ripped her lining up to the knee, so someone had to cut the rest of the lining out.

  • NDC_IPCentral

Purse/clutch is quite cool.  The dress – ye gods!  Unforgivable on the model and on Ms. Kruger, too busy, too sheer, too overwrought.  Consign to the dustbin at the speed of light.

  • AuntieAnonny

She needs to tone it down for a while, these High Fashion looks she keeps doing is just not working. There’s a big difference between “style icon” (which she is desperately grasping for) and “this dress is really expensive!”

She’s gorgeous, why does she keep distracting everyone from it with complicated clothes?

    • decormaven

I agree. This dress is complicated enough in design, then it’s got that distracting belt. Then the stylist adds the domino bag and those strange earrings. The hair stylist just went “huh?” and reverted to Hair on the Side, with Waves.

  • girl looks good, love the purse!

  • julnyes

I can’t with this woman – I hate everything she wears. I think I need to stop looking at her posts.

  • shopgirl716

Stunning.  She is so tiny, I bet she doesn’t eat raw cookie dough when she’s stressed out.  Not that I do, just saying.

    • Qitkat

I nearly choked on my raw cookie dough tuna sandwich when I read this.

  • jmorino08

  • random_poster

Hideous dress.  Love everything else, especially the clutch.

  • Kathleen B

    Love. It.

  • She looks real purty. Hate the belt. And girl, your roots are showing.

  • Qitkat

If she had just switched the belt out to one with the face of Q Tarentino, the look would have been perfect!

  • RocknRollmom

Too much dress (and an ugly one at that) for a tiny woman.  No!

  • ankali

Those tiered ruffles are not my thing, but I think she looks great. The clutch is an inspired choice for the dress.

  • minnye

It’s like the designers of this and the Ashley M. dress were vying to create the most elite neck/armhole that works only on those with perfectly smooth skin and no upper body fat. But I think both dresses are gorge & worn perfectly (if you’ve got it, flaunt it, right?) – except I’d rather see a softer belt here, and that white/cream contrast doesn’t look quite right. Diane managed to match the backdrop nicely.

  • ShayShay

These various shades of grey that we are seeing so much of here lately do not work on pale skin at all. This frock on Diane K is no exception.  She looks very “deer in headlights” in that first photo.  Yawn.

  • Judy_J

This dress seems appropriate for a Museum of Modern Art function.  I love that clutch!

  • Surely no designer would want their creation to look dirty, as if it is in need of a good washing. I almost feel like this could work if it weren’t the color of my clothes dryer’s lint trap.

  • crash1212

You know, the Krug can pull off just about anything – even that belly-baring thing I would normally hate, but loved on her from a few weeks back – but – THIS? This nonsense even she can’t pull off. Too many ideas, none of them very good.

  • MissAmynae

I kinda love this on her.  I don’t like the dress much from the ladybits down, but the top is pretty and interesting. Would it be better in black? Probably. But the grey complements her eyes and coloring nicely.  Makeup is great, as usual.

I’m not sure about the clutch…I think I need it in my hands for a closer inspection!

  • greymain

    i just don’t get grey on blonds…UGLY!

  • Giustina Pileggi

    well the clutch is cute..

  • Um, actually love.

  • formerlyAnon

This dress comes waaaay closer to being attractive than any verbal description could ever make seem likely. That belt, however much something is needed to reference the white at the neckline, is a dreadful mistake.

  • Oh. Gods. No.

  • Jessica O’Connell

What the hell is happening to her?

  • kategs

I do not like the sheer but love the way the clutch and belt compliment each other and take down the sweetness of the dress a notch.  I think she looks great.

  • E D

Nice hair and makeup and somehow I think I’d like the dress more if it all grey and not sheer.

  • Jennifer Coleman

Nice try but the dress is a small bridge too far.

  • Monabel

    Horrid dress.

  • kikisayshi

Wow. I really liked this until I saw the sheer. Boo.

  • I dunno. I kinda like it, and I think she looks better in it than the model.

  • guest2visits

Hate this.  I like grey but not as tacky curtains or dust ruffles with a crossing guard’s belt.

  • She’s been in a style rut lately, no? She used to be a PhD-level clothes wearer, but lately is looking more like a fashion victim and letting the clothes wear her.

  • Love this.  And she needs to hand over that purse immediately.

  • plinkiedoodle

something uber alles…that’s for damn sure.

  • quiltrx

NO to droopy 70’s princess curtain dresses!  It just looks like a big mess.

(I do like the color, and I like the clutch.  I’ve about decided I don’t like her.)

  • lacy Betters

I love this! Finally…she’s back. I will agree that she has had some fashion missteps lately. But this is perfect on her. I love the color as well.

  • I have curtains EXACTLY like this bought on sale from Urban Outfitters. I love them but I wouldn’t wear them. I think this could be edited into something amazing but right now it’s too much by half.

  • Too.. many.. ruffles.. ruffles.. hurt.. my.. eyes.. help.. the.. ruffles.. are.. taking..over.. my.. eyes.. and.. my.. brain..

That said, take away half the ruffles and this is actually a cute dress. Like the neckline and belt, and love the clutch.

  • oohsparkley!

I think she’s losing her touch. Or she’s bought into her hype and thinks she can wear anything. It’s a weird dress to me.

  • librarygrrl64

  • littlemac8

    Dirty grey curtains…ACK!!  Perfectly dreadful!
