I love the dress, but I think Nicole Richie did this much better.

    •  I think it’s the less-sleek hair and the way the hem just goes *blah* instead of doing anything. I like the earrings though.

    • Introspective

I agree. Nicole served flapper/boho realness in that gown a few days ago and the flesh tone embellishments made her skin shine.

Here the white tulle is a little jarring as a backdrop to the beading, and the pool of fabric at the bottom does this no favors. She also looks tired and not as fresh faced as she could look? check out NR and then try again girl.

    • Agreed. Nicole really committed to the look with the overall styling and the hair. Olivia Munn basically just wears it like a really pretty gown (which it is!). Not to say that she has to also commit to a similar flapper style, but the hair is just not right for this dress, and agreed with everyone’s comments on the hem.

      • Rrroza

Anyone have a link to NR wearing it? I searched a bit but came up emptyhanded

  • Did Temperley London dress all the ladies?

  • Love this dress!

  • crash1212

Beautiful. She looks amazing in gold sparklies. Love her shiny hair and that fact that she DID NOT wear a necklace.

  • That dress is BEAUTIFUL, but I’m not sure if she’s really selling it.

    • MissMariRose

It’s her dead eyes. They’re creeping me out.

      • Yes! She always has SUCH dead eyes, no matter what she’s doing.

      •  Yup. She looks high as a kite.

  • Puck Thornton

The colour looks fab on her. But it looks like she peed herself.  Also not liking the white part.

    • kimmeister

Yeah, the white part just looks unfinished, like they ran out of sequins.

  • SneakyKitty

the dress is gawgeous, but there’s something about her I absolutely cannot stand.  She’s not working the dress at all for me.

    •  She never did anything for me. Even back when she was on G4’s Attack of the Show.

    • kitu4

Ugh I HATE her and I don’t know why, can’t deny she’s purty though.

    • H3ff

      Gawgeous like René Fris?

  • nannypoo

I love this dress. Her makeup is really awful.

    • kimmeister

What is up with her eyeshadow and those dark markings by the bridge of her nose?

  • I love the dress on the model, but on Ms. Munn it looks pretty dull. Gorgeous dress on a gorgeous woman, but for some reason it doesn’t look as great as it should.

  • she mostly looks lovely, but the clutch blends in too much to the dress.  i’m not entirely on board with this bare nails on the red carpet trend; there are times they could provide a nice touch of color and this was one of those .  her hair looks unfinished.

  • Sara__B

The dress is beautiful on the model. It’s not nearly as pretty when it’s skin tight.

  • WERQ.

  • StellaZafella

I love the dress…but it’s too long on her here.

What’s with all the dead-Barbie-at-the-bottom of the toybox hair lately? You’d think all the stylists are out on strike?

  • choco

I like it. Her eyes actually look gold in this pic.

  • leave_Blake_alone

DAYUM. This gets a WERQ from me. (though it should have been hemmed)

  • PeaceBang

Bad, draggy fit, dead eyes, bad make-up. Not impressed.

  • That model has frightened me in two Whiteboard posts today. I’m sure she is a beautiful person but her makeup and expression make me think Marilyn Manson is going to come out of my monitor and strangle me.

  • I think that fab dress looks horrible on the ultra-skinny model and fabulous on someone with a little meat on her bones.  Snaps, Livvy!

  • Lisa Kramp

Girl, that’s not your metallic. You have to be either fair like the model or more olive skinned.

  • SapphoPoet

Wow–I love everything I’ve seen by Alice Temperley. If only I had the money and the figure…

  • Michael Owens

    Studio 54.

  • allisankelly

Dress definitely needs to be hemmed. Love the earrings. I think a lot of you said that already. And I’m glad that what I can see of the shoe, it’s not a platform of any kind. This girl used to annoy me. Then I watched Newsroom. She’s really good on there.

  • DylanCurtis

Her makeup is just awful. Other than that she looks great in the dress until you get to the bottom.

  • MilaXX

This is a personal best as far as the outfit goes, but the makeup looks a little daytime. Still she’s to be commended for wearing that dress well.

  • Downton Abbey influences!

  • guest2visits

A really beautiful dress that’s making her appear kind of short… and the hair and make-up look a little less sophisticated than what
the dress seems to call for.

  • I love it! The dress is gorgeous, and she looks beautiful in it.

  • LesYeuxHiboux

I don’t think the gold nearest her face is her gold. If it were a little darker, and the dress just a wee bit shorter, this could be a win. Even though it’s Olivia Munn.

  • quiltrx

I wish the illusion/tulle/whatever were champagne instead of white.  The white looks cheap.

  • TieDye64

I’m thinking this looked better in person? Without the puddle, of course.

  • judybrowni

Still and all, actress looks better in it, than the angry ghost model.

Why do so many models look like a pissed off wraith that happened to die in the gown?

  • J MN

It’s too long and a little snug; that’s why it hangs better on the model, imo.  I think the ‘look’ is a less fitted silhouette.  Also the clutch disappears into the dress, the model wore gloves which gave contrast.  Hair off the face, a darker lip and nail color and a silver clutch would up the look but it’s still too damn long.

  • decormaven

The way it’s accessorized on the designer’s model, you get a better sense of the details of the dress, because they’re played up with the gloves and necklace. All this RC look has is a matchy clutch that disappears into the dress, and some timid earrings that are hidden by the less than styled hair. No “smize” here; I get a distinct “I’m here, but that’s it” vibe. Not selling it.

  • The color is blah on her.

  • Pretty dress, but the ombre-effect darkening of the sequins in the crotch area is unfortunate.  Why do so many designers think female celebs want exterior vajazzling on their evening gowns?

  • Ann

Her boobs look so lopsided! Couldn’t she find a way to get the girls stuffed in there evenly?

  • Mary229

Hmm.  I love the idea of this with the flapper hair and the sequins.  I’m not sure the bottom of this dress works for me though.  I think the tone of the flapper theme would have stayed better intact if the bottom was gold.

  • Imasewsure

Beautiful dress until you scroll down to the tissue puddle on the carpet…. too much length ruined the lines of this one for me

  • oohsparkley!

It’s too long. Otherwise she looks fancy.

  • Kristy Evans

Uhhh this eye makeup is giving her a serious case of lazy-eye.

    The dress is pretty, though.

  • librarygrrl64

She is on my Irrational Dislike List, but even I have to admit that she looks great in this. I like the hair and accessories. Not sure how I feel about the makeup. Maybe a smokier eye?
