Miranda Kerr in New York

Posted on November 21, 2012

We all need something to comfort (and disinfect) our eyes after that last post, don’t we, darlings? Here’s your shot of fabulous to get you back on your feet, so to speak:

Miranda Kerr out and about in New York City.

3.1 Phillip Lim Silk Chiffon-sleeved Jersey Top. Balenciaga Snake Jacquard Pencil Skirt. Linda Farrow Luxe Python Oversized Sunglasses. Givenchy Antigona Satchel Bag. Lanvin Resort 2012 Stiletto d’Orsay Pump.

That gal sure as shit knows how to play with her hair in public, doesn’t she?

And if you find yourself overcome with jealousy, just console yourself with the fact that her skirt’s too tight.

    She’s not human.

    • Mismarker

Look at those legs.  She’s at least 1/4 giraffe.

    • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

Hmph.  She ain’t all that.  Her skirt’s too tight.

      Fembot. I’m sure of it.

  • ChaCha_70

I’m still jealous…she’s perfect. I bet she’s super nice too.

    • Stuck_on_Mute

I know. I want to hate her, but I’d much rather be her friend and hope some fabulousness rubs off on me (clothes swapping is out of the question)

    • http://twitter.com/project_pandora Rachel S.

As far as I’m aware, she’s still married to Orlando Bloom, who is also a nice dude. They have an adorable baby. Why can’t I just hate them already??

    • Ceur

I’ve seen a few interviews and had a inner bitchy ‘hurrah’ when her answers were quite dumb.

      • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Oh yes – I don’t think she’s the sharpest knife in the drawer but she does seem terribly sweet and quite real.

        • glennethph

          .

      • glennethph

You can’t have it all.  But nice husband, cute baby. money, beauty…I can more than live with that

  • RebeccaKW

    Fierce.  Loving this.

  • lalagigi

The genetic lottery is so unfair.

    • DeborahJozayt

Just so you know, though, she does have about an inch of regrowth. So there’s that!

  • B_C_J

This is a gorgeous woman who clearly knows how to dress.  However, you are correct, TLo the skirt is too tight even for this glorious woman and in my opinion, the bag is too large.  It looks like she is carrying a baby elephant on her arm. Otherwise, she is lovely.

  • BrooklynBomber

Plus, I’ll bet her feet hurt. Still….fabulous. It’s really not fair.

  • http://twitter.com/jack_attack88 Jackie Stewart

She is remarkable. One of my favorites. To live just one day in her body and wear the clothes she wears….sigh.

    • AthenaJ

If I had her body I’d run around all day naked… just because. And who would stop me?

      • DeborahJozayt

  • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

Skirt too tight, but man, it is KILLA.

  • Mismarker

That skirt IS too tight.  In that first shot it looks like she can’t even put one foot in front of the other.  Okay, I feel better now.

  • bertkeeter

PERFECT EXCEPT FOR THAT “OVERNIGHT BAG” SHE IS LUGGING THROUGH THE STREETS! How much crap does a woman need in a handbag?

    • MissMariRose

My guess is that there’s another iPhone, a pack of cigarettes, and a tube of lipstick in there. The rest is crumpled newspaper to fill out the bag’s shape.

      • bertkeeter

        Uh huh… Probably!

    • http://twitter.com/starrika starrika

Maybe she’s got baby stuff in there along with her stuff?

      • snarkykitten

         maybe an entire baby?

  • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000905542323 Rhonda Shore

    love.

  • nannypoo

Every celebrity seems to have this bag.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

“What?  You wanna take a picture of little ol’ me?”

  • http://www.ellenciompi.com/ NurseEllen

For a minute I honestly thought that was a bowling bag.

    • AthenaJ

Now I’m imagining Miranda and the rest of the Victoria’s Secret angels in a bowling league, a la Homer Simpson’s ‘Pin Pals’.

      • MrsMaxPower

My avatar heartily endorses your Simpsons reference…love it!

  • Deb_Lynn

She looks great. Except for the slightly too-tight skirt. But everything works so perfectly together.

One thing I want to mention is that those shoes look amazing on her feet. But if I was window/online shopping, I never would have picked them because they look extremely goofy when not on a foot. My complaint: sell the shoes with an image of a foot wearing them. I’d be more inclined to buy them if I knew how they looked on a foot.

    • Freyja Canidae

i feel the same way about lots of shoes online. lemme see ‘em ON A FOOT.

      • fallen_ikon

I like the websites that have a little video of a model walking in the shoes. Only a few have it, but it helps a lot sometimes when I’m debating on buying a pair of shoes.

  • MrsMaxPower

Every pic of this woman looks likes it’s from an editorial…I want to dislike her for swimming in the deep end of the gene pool, but  I just cannot, for some reason.

    • bitchybitchybitchy

I can’t quite put my finger on it, but there is something about her that I find cute and endearing.

      • NC_Meg

I think she has a bit of a baby face or a round face, which is unusual for a model. She looks so sweet.

      • MrsMaxPower

Agree with NC Meg on her face shape and overall look…I also think that her dimples play into that.

  • SneakyKitty

honestly, if I had hair like that, I’d never stop playing with it either.

  • http://thoroughly-me.blogspot.com/ thoroughlyME

Why put pockets on a pencil skirt? Even if you could fit anything in them, it would just create bulges in your pelvic region. At least keep those things sewed shut!

    • kimmeister

YES, exactly this!  My one thought viewing the pix was that I wanted to sew the pockets shut.

  • StellaZafella

Teeny tiny dimpled face, perfect skin, GREAT BIG SUNGLASSES and gorgeous waist-length hair that just begs to be flipped…
In 1967 we called them “Breck Girls” with all the venom we could muster.

Ah well – jealousy really is soooo pointless.

Her skirt’s too tight, nyah nyan na nyah nyah…there!

  • Puck Thornton

She is a gorgeous woman, but this outfit is just not doing it for her. I don’t care for the retro 80s print of the skirt, the silly platforms, the bag is ridiculous (and looks like it weights more than her) and the sheer sleeves are aging.

  • marilyn

Chic.  I don’t care about her skirt being tight.  Why don’t they all look like this?

  • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

I love it when she plays office girl. So cute. This fantasy is why the Glee characters have to wear designer – New York knows what is due to her.

  • http://www.facebook.com/AntoniaDonnelly Antonia O’Connor Donnelly

I’m seeing that bag everywhere..and I want it.   Too bad I have rent and bills to pay.

  • Vanja

Insanely envious of her hair, it’s gorgeous.

  • Pants_are_a_must

My sole comfort in this that she obviously meant to be photographed, and had people work on every aspect of her appearance before going out. And the skirt’s still too tight. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

  • warnerave

    vey chic!

  • decormaven

If that purse got any bigger, she could use it to fold herself up and hide from the paps. Lurve those shades! Thanks for a shot of pretty this a.m.

  • Anathema_Device

Not sure I can hang with the ’80s (pink snake skin) and ’90s (sheer sleeves) of this.

    • MrsMaxPower

I didn’t notice the sheer sleeves until your comment, then I scrolled up and realized I could see her bra through her shirt. I haven’t yet determined if I’m secretly thrilled at noticing the faux pas or a little  sad that even with the sheerness she is just an overall flawless creature.

      • Anathema_Device

I think I’m just being a cranky old bitch. My 48th bday is this week, and seeing pretty young things wearing “retro” styles I wore the first time around isn’t helping things. ;-)

        • MrsMaxPower

          Happy birthday!

          • Anathema_Device

            Thanks!

  • l v

I give up. Seriously. It’s just not fair.

  • MilaXX

She’s doing Salma Hayeck level of hair flinging here. Love the look.

  • http://gabyrippling.tumblr.com/ Gabriella M

I normally don’t like either pointy toed pumps or average platform pumps (I like a platform sandal though) but for some reason I’m really digging pointy toed platform pumps.
Irony of ironies (well, compared to my fellow Bitter Kittens, since I don’t share the bias), it all started with that pair of black and white Stella McCartney pumps that have been going around.

  • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

    Those dimples! So adorable.

  • l_c_ann

And she hasn’t had her hair recoloured for at least six weeks, maybe eight.  Not even along the part line.  Guess times are tough in Gotham?

  • PaulaBerman

If that skirt is too tight on her, which human on earth could it possibly fit?

  • http://profiles.google.com/ameliaheartsu Amelia Logan

How did this woman have a baby?

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_HU6TW5A67UOLM5IPLN6INMAVZ4 Martin C

a skirt too tight on a supermodel? oh fashion, and your ironies.

  • YourBaloneyDontGotNoSecondName

she is throwing hair like drag queens throw shade.

  • quiltrx

The skirt IS too tight, which is a shame, because it is KILLA.

  • librarygrrl64

Is it just me, or is anyone else sick of those little platform pieces tacked onto the soles of pumps/stilettos like this? I think they look ridiculous, like one stepped on a metal ball that is now flattened to the sole. They make me think that walking in them would feel like clomping around on steel girders all day. :-/

  • http://korilian.livejournal.com/ korilian

Any Miranda Kerr that doesn’t include her PA making “I know, right!” eyes in the background, is going to be a let down for me.

  • kikisayshi

Love it all. She’s cute as a button.
