Leighton Meester for Flaunt Magazine (NSFW)

Posted on November 27, 2012

Miss Leighton is serving up ’80s cocaine-fueled, New Wave, cover-of-Interview-magazine realness here. Also: boy butts. What’s not to love, darlings?

Leighton Meester is featured in the November 2012 issue of Flaunt magazine photographed by Yu tsai and styled by Robert Behar.

Love the lacquered hair and makeup. So 1981.

That hair is making me confuse her with Rose Byrne more than I usually do!

      • homofascist

THANK YOU!  I just finished season 4 of Damages tonight, which I enjoyed but Rose’s/Ellen’s bangs were driving me INSANE through every episode.  How she wasn’t constantly trying to blow them out of her eyes I will never know.  Then I started looking at this and all I could think is “Ellen Parsons hair”.

        Also, boy butts.  Yay!

    • http://twitter.com/SparklyCasanova UglyCasanova

Male model butts, more please … Meester who?

    • mike__tv

Of course. Also boy buts! Barely saw.Hardly noticed Leighton.

    • Nicholas

Is this what goes for “sexy” today? Or is this “art, maaayn”?

      • formerlyAnon

None of them seem remotely interested in any of the rest, & there’s not much emotion coming across. So I’m not convinced “sexy” was the goal as much as high gloss.

        • Derek_anny

Agreed, this is definitely “art, maaayn.”

    • Jennifer L.

The full body shots are pretty good – she can work her body into some interesting angles. I don’t care for the close ups though, as they highlight her lack of actual facial expressions.

      • 3boysful

         Right.  There’s only one.

        • Scarlet39

And it seems that expression is like she smelled something foul

    • EmyR

The styling is amazing and she looks gorgeous, but she has little to no facial range in these pictures. Close your mouth, girl.

      • http://twitter.com/HeckYeahHeckNo KC

So surprising because she shows a lot of range on “Gossip Girl”, it is so weird that sometimes a good actor/actress has a hard time performing in this kind of medium they way they can on TV/Movies

        • j_anson

I think with that much layered on makeup and wig, I’d feel kind of stiff, too. Seems to me one of the skills professional models have that actresses might not is retaining fluidity in the face of really heavy or intrusive styling.

    • hughman

Love the Helmut Newton vibe. All we’re missing is her in a Playboy bunny outfit on a balcony.

    • StellaZafella

Bette Midler said: “You can go anywhere as long as you have the right footwear!”

      Nice shoes, boys.

      • snarkalicious

That’s right.  Although for some reason nothing makes me giggle harder than a guy with no clothes on except socks/shoes.

        • Louise Bryan

The gorgeous guy in the birthday suit with my father’s socks on….No, just no.  Leave the socks off, dear.

          • http://www.facebook.com/people/Lucía-Gavello/1253586868 Lucía Gavello

Right? Socks are quite the turn off… wouldn’t kick ‘em out of bed though.

    • A. W.

This shoot is the gender-swapped version of the Kellan Lutz spread last week! I much prefer random boy butt to random girl titties.

    • http://twitter.com/awtchy1 Ashley

I want to go to THAT party.

    • MrsMaxPower

When I was younger and wanted a fashionable Dorothy Hamill haircut I envisioned it looking glossy and fabulous as her hair does in this editorial. However, I ended up looking like Little Lord Faunterloy.

And love the booties, but I am drooling more over the thigh muscles on the swarthier of the two male models. Yummy.

      • zingit

HA! That reminds me of 30 Rock, when Liz has a flashback to having a new haircut as a kid, “which everyone thought was a Dorothy Hamill, but was *actually* a Pete Rose.”

    • http://twitter.com/lbcubbison Laurie Cubbison

About time we had equal opportunity NSFW

      • gabbilevy

        I’m loving it. She’s (mostly) covered, they’re full-on nekkid. It’s a beautiful thing.

    • http://eclectictsunami.blogspot.com/ Cassie

That’s awesome. Love her traditionally masculine pose in the leather pants shot.

    • filmcricket

So this is a “My High School Show is Ending” editorial if ever there was one.

      • LesYeuxHiboux

I don’t know how high school Gossip Girl is with its constant drug abuse, orgies, sex scandals, snuff films. The characters have been out of high school longer than they were in, and even then it was all lingerie and innuendo.

        • filmcricket

Fair enough, but she’s not targeting the audience, she’s targeting casting directors. Many of whom, I’d wager, still think of it as a high school show.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_RDEDI3ONWSVDQS5GXKKBIML3H4 Chase

She’s totally working the Gia Carangi vibe, but without the heroin addiction and lesbian chic.

Well, a little bit of lesbian chic.

    • Trisha26

This has got to be the least sexy editorial with naked bodies I’ve ever seen. And I love the dress shoes and socks. Love.

    • http://twitter.com/LPsometimes LP

More of this in the world, please! More ladies being badass with nudie boys sprawled all over! Turn the tables on the magazine industry’s boring weak women/strong man pose tropes.

    • Jackie4g

The point of this photo shoot eludes me. But that’s OK. The boys are eye candy on a snowy day. The young lady was the 2nd lead in that Gwyneth Paltrow country music movie, and her eye makeup when she wanted to look overtly sexy looked much the same as in this layout. I looked and I thought how beautiful well maybe a bit overdone,  and then there was nothing else to capture or hold my interest.

    • TaurusKW

This editorial is a triumph for feminism.  Finally, it’s the boys who are being sexually objectified!  And as a gay man, I say the world needs more of that, darling!

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

      Cocaine.  It’s a helluva drug.

    • Prolixity Julien

      Okaaaay.

    • margaret meyers

The shoe fetish crowd is enjoying themselves.

    • bertkeeter

      Boring and really boring!

    • MerBearStare

You *know* Elanor Waldorf saw some shit in the 80′s.

    • Dancer

Didn’t even recognize her! More boy butts please :D

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=790818401 Laurie Landry

      Thank you!

    • http://twitter.com/Alloyjane Alloy Jane

Now that’s an “NSFW” I can get behind…

    • SewingSiren

      Butts!

    • sk8tfan

Can I get invited to that party? And wear her pretty plaid shoes, which look perfect for the Christmas season? Except that it looks like she died of an overdose in the second to last photo so I’d have to leave before that part.

    • editrixie

This just all feels like it’s trying so hard. That never works for me, even with boy butts.

    • Little_Olive

      Boybuttsboybuttsboybutts… oh yeah.

I’m on the fence as to whether she can carry that harsh contouring. And I wish she gave a wider range of expressions -but who knows if she did and they just chose these.

      I LOVE (grown) boys’ bottoms.

    • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_2P2ANLRZ6YAVGONA36I2AQJYGI VicD

She looks like Julianne Moore in Boogie Nights.

    • DesertDweller79

Remember last week when we were wondering why the naked woman was randomly in the photos?  And some of us asked to to have a female star modelling the clothes with random naked men in the background?

      Thank you.

    • pookiesmom

Wow, she looks JUST like Rose Byrne to me in these. It’s tripping me out a little, actually.

    • http://www.lifeinspice.com/ rose88

Not bad, I do like boy butts!  Still, this would have been way better with Crystal Renn instead of Leighton Meester.  Of course, I could say that for almost every editorial spread.

    • librarygrrl64

She looks ridiculous. And the shoes and SOCKS on the naked boys!!!!! Is there anything less sexy and guaranteed to get laughs? These boys missed The Sock Gap. :-D

    • http://profiles.google.com/sauchih Sau-Chih Feng

You forgot to mention NEKKID BOY BUTTS.

    • formerlyAnon

Admirably fit models, but please editors: naked men wearing loafers and socks make me laugh. It’s involuntary.

Also, it must really hurt to have the inside of one’s upper arm tattooed.

She is impressive in that shellacked and somehow hinting-at-raunchy but not really sexy way in vogue in the ’80s. It’s very sex-on-cocaine. (Which to me is shorthand for probably energetic but eventually mechanical. Not a plus. YMMV.)

    • ccm800

      Everything works except Leighton. Weak.

    • Imasewsure

I was almost bored with this… until I saw the boy butts. Nice

    • Rebecca Jay

      She’s totally a brunette Elvira/Michelle Pfeiffer from Scarface 1983.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1550881905 Hildegerd Haugen

Sure it is Leighton and not Rose Byrne?

    • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

this works for me. the ‘lesbian’ shot seems a little like it doesnt belong here, though.
i always liked meester and i want her to have a better career!

    • decormaven

I’m getting a flash on Linda Ronstadt’s cover shot on the album Mad Love for LM’s look. Still pondering the socks/shoes/nekkidness; doesn’t make sense but I suppose they were going the High Art route.

    • MoHub

I may just be an old fart, but I don’t get the appeal.

    • http://twitter.com/chylde chylde

      hairy subby boy crack

    • jjfg

      Naked men = irrelevant starlet.

    • PeggyOC

I think the boy butts are the problem, or indicative of the problem.  I should be drawn to her, ignoring the tasty man flesh, because that’s the point of these shots and their composition. But in every case, I’m finding them more interesting.  She’s not really serving it up, here.  With this kind of story, styling and setup, she should be pulling the eye, but she’s not.  There’s no “there” there.

      • formerlyAnon

I blame the styling. It’s so uber-cool, not to say dipped-in-shiny-plastic, that the men wind up looking warm and magnetic in comparison – even though they’re so stylized they could almost be hairy mannequins.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1208138556 Sara Munoz Munoz

What’s with the “Who farted?” face??

    • nannypoo

She looks beautiful but, sadly, nothing at all like Leighton Meester.

    • Lisa Dugan

It’s a nice change of pace.  Usually naked women are the decoration.  I think they look kind of ridiculous with their shoes still on however.

    • AuntieAnonny

      I’ll take two of everything.

    • shopgirl716

ewwww.  Just ew. I don’t think it’s arty at all. Just kind of gross and sticky looking.

    • hellkell

      Maude Lebowski: The College Years.

    • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

Good editorial.  Love seeing buck naked men next to fully dressed women.  While she looks good, Meester’s expression is just plain vapid. A professional model would have knocked this out of the park.

    • Teashelll

It’s interesting that folks complained about the naked women in the Kellen Lutz photos (which I thought were hot), and not the naked men in these pictures.

      • http://www.tomandlorenzo.com/ Tom and Lorenzo

To be fair, naked women in men’s fashion editorials occurs quite a bit more often than the opposite.

      • http://kingderella.tumblr.com/ kingderella

an objectified woman signifies something different than an objectified man.

    • http://profiles.google.com/phyllis.craine Phyllis Craine

Reminds me of those shots of Liza lolling on Halston’s floor

    • alyce1213

Icky and pretentious.  Her face is vapid and the rest doesn’t make up for it.

    • http://profiles.google.com/valencia.lucia87 Lucía Valencia

Those buttcrack hairs in the last picture ruined it for me. If there’s one reason to use photoshop in this world, is to remove buttcrack hairs. And her face isn’t any better either.

      • formerlyAnon

I dunno. I think that letting the models keep *some* of the hair on their bodies is a large part of why they look warmer – more like actual people – than does Ms. Meester.

I don’t think men should have to remove all/most of their body hair in order to be considered attractive any more than women should. Of course, that’s a personal view that media standards tend to run counter to.

    • oohsparkley!

I want her job at least for this photoshoot.

    • lizajane1776

      Fashion? What fashion?

    • kikisayshi

Wow, you weren’t kidding about the “boy butts”.

    • Derek_anny

Does anybody else look at that last photo and think “he looks like Sandy and Dennys?”

    • MilaXX

      Bonus points for boy tush

    • http://twitter.com/WaxPoesis WasPoesis

      So awkward!
