I love you Kerry, but I’m not down with shiny pink satin.

      • Kristin McNamara

        Ditto.

    • lucyloo222

I don’t mind the shiny pink satin so much but she’s so thin, she needs to give this dress to Sofia Vergara.  You need a hippy, busty girl to pull this look off.

      • mhleta

I agree with you completely, but for one concern. It could be an effect of the camera angle, but she’s got The Dog–ie “Little body, big head, The Dog, ‘Nuff Said.”

        • http://twitter.com/janedonuts Jane Donuts

I actually feel like a hippy, busty girl would just look cheesy.

Do agree she looks too thin, but I think she actually manages to make shiny pink satin look tasteful, and that’s no mean feat. Also, she looks 100 times better than the model.

    • MsOlympia

Wow.  That color is unbelievably gorgeous on her, but everything else about it is unbelievably dated.

    • labirichina

Ok, I’m just going to say it. Those bows look like a vulva.

    • crash1212

This is a comment not often typed on this board…but I think it’s too big! Looks like it’s gonna slide right off of her. Lovely color though.

    • lehen

      hiddy.

    • famousamy

Looks too big or something. Making her look even thinner than she is. I like the color and don’t even mind the satin it it was fitted more correctly.

    • agentilities

      Ms. Kerry looks so frail…

    • MissMariRose

Is she going to the prom?

      • cooperalden

I agree. She is very pretty but the dress also looks so inexpensive…like a clearance rack item on “Jersey Couture”.

    • kimmeister

One bow, I could handle, but three stacked on top of each other?  No.  However, her eye makeup looks great.

    • CPK1

so bridesmaid. She always looks so kickass I guess she had an off night

    • HomeOfficeGirl

The color is gorgeous – she owns it.  Perfect make up and hair.  Not loving something about the fit or drape…

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

I love the colour, don’t mind the shiny, don’t mind the looser fit but those bows just take it into junior bridesmaid territory. Also, could have done with a cuff or something quite bold as a necklace.

    • Introspective

too droopy and too satiny. Its not doing what it could for her. especially being as small as she is. the dress overwhelms her midsection and does nothing for the girls. Pass.

    • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

      Not working for her.

    • schadenfreudelicious

the dress is totally wearing her, she is just too tiny for all that drapey satin, the color is beautiful on her though…

    • http://profiles.google.com/denise.alden Denise Alden

A rare instance when the model looks so much better in the dress than does the celebrity.

    • Imasewsure

Looks cool and Wallis Simpson-y on the model but so wrong for Ms. W who hopefully will put on a few pounds as she ages. I can’t with her…

      • MilaXX

I try hard not get into the “eat a sandwich” comments because I think they are as cruel as teasing a plus sized gal, but she has so obviously lost weight since starting her show and I find it really disturbing. This dress looks awful on her. I find nothing appealing about seeing neck and chest bones so prominently.

    • decormaven

Great color, but the dress is wearing her, not vice versa. Different earrings with longer drops would have been a better choice, too.

    • butter nut

its too long on her.  if she could hike it up like 2 inches, the whole thing would fit so much better & flatter her more.

    • http://www.flickr.com/photos/21151157@N00/ rawrgrowlrawr

She has such a massive, beautiful head.

    • http://twitter.com/aidanboleyn Aidan B

I’d really like it if it wasn’t so shiny! That’s a great color on her.

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

Too much dress for her. Between the color and the cut she is being swallowed up.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1540233153 Malve Lyborg

She looks like she won at the cat fair (if this is the right word for this exibition where the lovliest cat gets the most ribbons). This thing at her waist?

    • B_C_J

I am in the minority here.  I like the fit of the dress. It fits the model in the same manner.  It definitely has that 20’s -30’s vibe. Only a less curvy/busty woman can wear this elegantly.  If not, it’s going to look like a Mae West impersonation. The color is wonderful on her and her make up is perfect. A major statement bracelet would have been a nice addition.

      • Let it out

You’re not alone.  I think she looks classy and beautiful and the dress fits and suits her perfectly.  I’m even ok with the shiny.  Brava, Ms. Washington!

    • H3ff

I think she opened the bodice area up too much (or too little). The proportion of it throws the whole look off.

      • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1832126583 Mary Lauer

Yes, something is off there. The bows hit the model higher on the hip which gives it a more attractive line. Not sure quite happened …

    • MaryAtRealityTea

Great color! Ditch the shiny and the bows. This looks like gown made of dyeables shoes.

    • http://twitter.com/Nancer Nancer

Huh. I… kind of like it? But I am wondering if it is fitting quite right. It seems maybe just a little too large. Or maybe it isn’t just hitting her in the right places. But you know what, I love pink and I don’t have a problem with shiny satin when it is deployed appropriately. So, overall – pretty.

    • A B

This really is the year of the 20s/Gatsby inspired formalwear, isn’t it?  Although I don’t think they used that type of hot pink satin back in the day.  Not my favorite but she looks pretty.

    • Sara__B

Nope. She’s too little for that dress, so the proportions are off. Great color on her, though.

    • Janet B

      Nice color.

    • bertkeeter

      Bridesmaid!

    • Lilak

Ooh no . . . Fitted very nicely on the model (clothespins all over the back no doubt – heh), but all out of whack on Miss K.

The bodice is a mess:  fit not adapted to the length of her torso, neckline too open, and the fabric  ‘clamps’ at the top of the straps are sitting too far back on her shoulders (a tiny thing, but slightly forward on the model makes a big attractive difference).

I guess Kerry’s and the model’s are the same color, just lit differently, but Kerry’s pink looks shouty.

    • LeifBallard

She looks too petite for that dress

    • http://twitter.com/MarfMom Maya

the 1980s called. they want their color and bows back.

    • allisankelly

Great color and her face looks great, but that dress is only okay. Shiny prom/bridesmaid dress.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

      S’ok.

Which is more than I can often say for her sartorial choices.

    • quiltrx

I’ll say it again… SHE IS WAY TOO SKINNY.  When your head starts looking all big, your tits vanish, and I can see the cartilage in your neck, you are way too thin.

I like the dress in theory, but it looks so droopy and sad on her I can’t really evaluate it.

    • TieDye64

      Prom dress.

    • plinkiedoodle

      Shapeless prom dress.

    • guest2visits

I thougth this was very pretty on Kerry; but it also makes me think she is way thin, and that the dress is weighing her down.

    • lrhoff

I think she looks lovely.  Nice job.

    • margaret meyers

It’s making me think of the purposely vulgar green dress Keira Knightly wears in Atonement.
