Jennifer Lawrence in T by Alexander Wang

Posted on November 20, 2012

Miss Jennifer looked so awful the last time we featured her here on the site that we’ve been waiting for an opportunity to showcase her getting her mojo back. That opportunity is NOW, darlings.

Jennifer Lawrence makes an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ in a T by Alexander Wang dress paired with Alexandre Birman shoes and a Brumani ring.

T by Alexander Wang Spring 2013 Collection/Model: Lara Mullen

Brumani Nude Casual Collection 18 K White Gold Ring with Smokey Quartz Center Stone and Diamonds.

Don’t go giving us side-eye like that, Jen. We mean it. You look spectacular here. That color looks fantastic on you and the dress is showing off the figure in all the best ways. Kudos to you for zipping up that slit. You just know someone like Lea Michele would’ve had it opened all the way. Love that sleeve length. LOVELOVELOVE those shoes paired with the dress, adding just the right amount of visual interest without overwhelming it. Nicely done, girl.

Dear Santa, I’ve been really REALLY good this year! Can I get both the shoes AND the dress??

    • jilly_d

Good LORD her bod is bangin’.  Way to bring the curves, girl. Love that grey on her, and love her so much more as a brunette.

      • ccinnc

I’d love to have seen a pic of her standing up in that dress. Much better than the model, no doubt.

        • http://profile.yahoo.com/KBNJ6GJTXYEE6BON3WGK6KEGT4 Elizabeth

There’s a pic of her on US Weekly walking out onto the stage … good shot of the dress. It really shows off her figure, which I can’t believe she describes as “fat” in Hollywood standards. Sigh.

          • ccinnc

Thanks, I found it … and I’d kill to be that “fat.” Spectacular.

          • Whever

To be fair, she seems quite aware at how ridiculous it is to call her body “fat”. I kinda love her- she’s got a good head on her shoulders.

          • librarygrrl64

She is curvy in all the “right” places. Very natural and feminine looking, and topped off by what seems to be a wonderful attitude and spirit.

      • Louise Bryan

Would I were that young and that “obese”.  Love the dress, and even the ankle breakers are pretty.  They are just window dressing, though, on this beautiful young woman.

    • Sobaika

She looks fab. All it took was a good dress and sweeping those ridiculous bangs aside,

    • Emily Giovanni

oh my gosh, that slit is a zipper. now I am ready to cut a bitch over an article of clothing!

    • Mismarker

Don’t you just want to go out and have drinks with this girl? Love her for keeping that zipper zipped and still looking sexy as hell.

      • H3ff

It transforms the look from day into night in one quick stroke.

    • zenobar

Love that she kept the slit zipped for her sit-down.   Very ladylike – which is very refreshing.

    • S_Swift

I love her. I wouldn’t mind being stuck in an elevator with her, Rebel Wilson and Gabourey Sidibe. It would be so much fun!

      • julnyes

That is a very specific fantasy there :p

        • NC_Meg

It is super specific and I never would have thought of it but now that it’s out there, I think that’d be fun too.

        • S_Swift

Or we could be “Sex and the City”-style gal pals, I’m flexible.

      • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

That would be so much fun, as long as you had pitchers of margaritas.

    • decormaven

I think I like this look; it would be nice to see it from a standing position. The busy shoes are a nice counterbalance to the simplicity of the dress design. Kudos for keeping the zipper zipped.

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1183772509 Jen Hughes

I think she’s so much prettier with darker hair too. Love it.

    • Puck Thornton

That dress looks stunning on her. And I like it that she zipped up. I do think the hair is a tad too dark for her complexion and I really don’t like the shoes, although they are eye catching.

      • pop_top

I think it’s just dark for Hunger Games.

      • Rand Ortega

A friend at work saw these photos & said, “If anyone should play Elizabeth Taylor…”

    • MilaXX

I hate Jay Leno so much I can’t even bear to watch him when celebs I like are on. That said Jen looks great here. I love the look and I’m happy to see them finally styling her hair better. I hate when she wears bangs and as a fellow 5head,I really don’t see the need to wear bangs because of a prominent forehead or high hairline.

I know I’m late to the party, but I watched Winter’s Bones over the weekend and wow! Great movie, but super depressing.

    • LeSourire

I really, really wish she would do something other than a middle part with her hair. Hey… I have to come up with something wrong with her so I don’t die of jealousy. She is my most envied body in hollywood.

      • http://twitter.com/hmbscully WendyD

The ONLY thing I could ever have in common with Jennifer Lawrence is her hair and I’ve finally given into the fact that my hair wants what it wants (which is to part right down the middle). ;)

      • filmcricket

I desperately want her to do something like the shaggy bob Dianna Agron had going into the third season of Glee. It’s so annoying that Hollywood standards are *so* exacting that you not only have to be young, white, and stick thin to make your mark but you have to have long hair, too, since I think there are loads of actresses who would benefit from shorter ‘dos. At the very least, I hope she learns that there can be a happy medium between blunt-cut, straight-across bangs and this centre-part she’s working now (although I’ll take the latter over the former).

    • Kenisha Hill Phillips

*needs that dress in her life*

    • filmcricket

Wow, I really don’t like anything here. Agreed that her figure is awesome, but that colour screams “high school hallway” and the shoes look like torture devices. Also I know it’s for the films, but I can’t wait until she’s back to blonde.

However, I do give her kudos for pulling off a dress that allows for absolutely NO figure flaws. Well done, lady.

    • http://heartprintandstyle.com/ Vivi N

She looks amazing! Beautiful! Fantastic figure.

      Also, those shoes are SICK!

    • VioletFem

Agreed on all counts, her hair also looks really pretty here.

    • TieDye64

      She looks gorgeous.

    • DebbieLovesShoes

Yeah, if she’s unzipped that zipper it would have propelled her sidelong to ho-town.  Well done.

      P.S.  Shoes are amazing.

    • http://twitter.com/DewoftheDesert DewoftheDesert

I think I spy cellulite (what? who said that?). Luv huh!

    • http://www.facebook.com/sara.m.hottman Sara Hottman

She looks fabulous! Shoes = uh-maz-zing. I hope she fired whoever draped the earlier monstrosity on her.

    • alyce1213

Great. This is the first time I’ve seen her with dark hair that I really like it. And the pale dress works perfectly.
I just wish there were a picture of her standing, to show off her amazing figure..

    • http://twitter.com/lenabena_ Elena

Definitely an improvement over her Dior looks. Her hair color just doesn’t suit her though.

    • tereliz

Winner winner chicken dinner! This is a great look for her. Modern, sleek, minimalist and a little edgy. Love the shoes and the zippered slit. While I love her hair darker like this, I think it needs a little more dimension. It’s like she goes to the same colorist as Vampire Bill!

      • Carolyn

To be fair they both have coloured hair specifically for their roles. Must be something about it that looks great on camera but not so great out and about.

    • sockandaphone

i want this entire outfit on my body RIGHT NOW

    • http://phantomminuet.blogspot.com/ MinAgain

Great shoes, but I never would have thought of them as “booties”.

      • kimmeister

Exactly!  I was like, apparently I have no idea what booties are if those are considered booties.

    • Sara__B

This old fuddy-duddy thinks the dress is too tight (what ever happened to the idea of several inches of ease in a garment?),  the hair color looks like shoe polish, and that center part needs to go. Even so, she looks fabulous. I just think she could look even better!

    • julnyes

She looks fantastic, the color suits her to a T and the shoes were the perfect choice.

    • Cousin_Rose

      snappppps?

    • Carolyn

She really is the actress of her generation. I look forward to watching her career. I actually don’t even care what she’s wearing just what she has to say.

    • snarkykitten

She looks phenomenal in that dress but I’m not digging the hair (edit: ok I see it’s for the movie) and that dick pink lipstick.

    • PastryGoddess

That was some fierce side eye.

      Gurl looks good

    • http://asskickingadviser.com/ Ass Kicking Adviser

      Chic!

    • bellafigura1

I dunno, I want to love it.  I do not like the hair at all, it looks like it belongs to someone else — a side part might have helped (not every trend is your trend!) The unrelenting grey of the dress combined with how tight it is makes me feel like it’s a support garment  or bandage, her upper arms don’t look happy at all. Finally, with a body like that, she should not be pancaking the lady lumps.  That’s the wrong bra for that dress.

Love the shoes, though and I do love her! She’s sassy!

    • Mirakel9

I think that dress is a tad too tight, you can see her belly button indentation!

    • shanna bowie

Where’s the info on the shoes? I need to know

    • LLuL

Holy SHIT, how does she look that good in that dress sitting down? Amazing.

    • snarkalicious

She is just the coolest.  And that last photo is hilarious.

    • Judy_J

Before I read your comments, I was thinking “good for her for keeping that slit zipped!”.  Well done, Jennifer!  You look fab.

    • http://twitter.com/stellaphone Stella Zawistowski

      SHOES. WANT THE SHOES.

    • Trisha26

I don’t like this at all. None of it including her dark hair.

    • nannypoo

I think it’s a little tight, but she is so curvy and sexy that it looks great on her.

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

Maybe just a touch more colour on the lips?

    • quiltrx

I do love the focus-drawing shoes for a sit-down.  Perfect choice–and they work so well with the dress’ simple elegance.  Good going, gal.

    • ankali

I want those shoes so bad I could vomit.

    • http://vhanna26.typepad.com Vera

Now, there’s my fence jumper.  Love the shoes.

    • http://promiscuouslola.com/ Cate

UGH she has the most amazing body. I am so jealous.

    • pop_top

“You just know someone like Lea Michele would’ve had it opened all the way.” I LOVE your Lea Michele shade.

    • librarygrrl64

She looks adorable and venue-appropriate. I really love this girl.

Just saw The Silver Linings Playbook tonight, and boy does she have a spectacular figure! It was a fantastic movie, btw; go see it! Casting, acting, writing, directing all good. Laughter and tears. And lots of fun spotting recognizable locations in Ridley Park, Upper Darby, and Lansdowne. :-)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1355527007 Rain Jezek

There are much better bras for her to wear in a dress that tight which enhances her body so much. God I’m commenting while drunk. I can tell because I just spilled the wine but didn’t care. You’d think I’d be cattier, but no.

    • Nicole

omg I just love all of this!
perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect perfect flawless perfect perfect perfect
I wish she sold the shoes on eBay because I WOULD DIE TO BUY THEM
