        Bahahaha.  Well-played!

        • theblondette

Either that or she’s been reading too many 10 Best Ways To Spice Up Your Sex Life from Cosmo – Tip 9: Not living together yet? But not getting the sexy time together you need? Show him you’re spontaneous by ditching your Google calendar dates and showing up on his doorstep in nothing but a cute trench coat and a smile.

    • Jimmy

How did she deteriorate from such a curvy, stylish lady on a talkshow to a sad, shiny mess?

      • Louise Bryan

I was definitely wondering the same thing.  Talk about waffling….

      • H3ff

Exactly. At least if it had been in a matte fabric it would not look so jarring.

      • Jennifer Allen

Apparently post-Oscars, she switched stylists. Needless to say, the partnership is struggling.

    • Sara__B

The belt is too tight and the skirt is too short. This looks more like a “dancing cigarette girl” costume from a 1930s musical than a red carpet dress.

      • TieDye64

Yes! Exactly what I was thinking.

      • l_c_ann

ITA on the belt being too tight and the skirt too short.
I’ll bet no cigarette girl ever had a costume finished as well as that one.

      • NinaBoo

        Cigars! Cigarettes! Tiparillos!

        • lizajane1776

          Fake dog poop!

          What fake dog poop?

    • Trisha26

She looks like she left the hair salon wearing the robe wrap & with her hair not done. Not getting this look at all.

    • gubblebumm

If you have any kind of shape, as opposed to stickfigure runway models, you can not wear this shape.

      • MilaXX

THIS. People think this camouflages a curvy figure, but all it does is make them look wide. Mindy Kaling does the same thing

      • filmcricket

Exactly. This is a dress designed to give curves to women without them, just as Victoria Secret push-up bras are designed to give cleavage to women who lack it. When your body already does what the garment is trying to create, look elsewhere.

      • librarygrrl64

I don’t think it looks all that great on the model, either.

    • Magdalena Monzerrat Ontiveros

Oh NO!!!! The problem again: DIOR!!!! Get a good designer please, and then try to put your clothes on pretty actresses without make them look like this please!

    • decormaven

What a beautiful complexion she has! Too bad her stylist chose this look- all she needs is a tray around her neck, and she could call out “Cigars! Cigarettes! Candy!” at intermission. Boo on stylist- this gal deserves better.

    • Monica

Those shoes look torturous. Look how far they’re pushing her onto the balls of her feet. cringe.

    • Fifi LaRoux

      I love the shoes!

She’s not edgy enough for this look.

    • BrooklynBomber

      No, no, no!!

    • susan6

That skirt shape and length = Vegas Cocktail Waitress.  Even on the model.

    • unpious

Love it from the waist to the hairline, but the weird bumpiness of that updo is not working for me. And Girl, That Is Not Your Hem Length (Even If You Do Have Killer Legs).

    • MissMariRose

To be fair, it doesn’t look that great on the model either.

    • MilaXX

That cut is not for curvy gals. I wanna like the face, but the eyeshadow doesn’t look blended well.

      • kimmeister

Agree about the eyeshadow.  She doesn’t have the deeply socketed eyes that can get away with unblended eyeshadow.  The blush is nice though.

    • Ali Quirk

      please send me those shoes

    • j_anson

Poor choices have been made here.

    • Carla_Charlton

Too short.  And maybe it sounds old-fashioned, but showing so much leg in the colder months just looks odd to me.  Maybe something sheer to give a little coverage?

    • Ass Kicking Adviser

Wow, am I the only one who likes it? It’s not my favorite or anything but her hair and make-up look good, the shoes are cute and I think the dress is cute. I like that she isn’t afraid to show her thighs which are thinner than everyone I know but not the normal Hollywood sticks (thank goodness-for once).  I honestly think she looks cute and tasteful and like she is embracing her figure.

    • MinAgain

It would have been a fabulously retro “New Look” ensemble, if the skirt had hit right at or below the knee.  As it is, it looks a little too “Vegas croupier”.

I will give her major props for the shoes, though.

      • NurseEllen

Great characterization!  I’ve never been to Vegas but I “got” what you were saying instantly, MinAgain.

This is doing her no favors.  What’s up with her whole “I’m gonna wear black even if it makes me look weird” ethic lately?

    • filmcricket

More badly applied self-tanner. Or do we think the limo seat is now covered in what used to be on the backs of her legs? Ladies: Christina Hendricks, Anne Hathaway, Nicole Kidman et al. have made it okay to be pale. Enough of this orange paint shit, it looks good on approximately 1% of the people who wear it.

      • AdrienneD

To be fair, if she is filming HG right now (which the flat ugly hair color suggests), Katniss is at least three shades darker than the real Jennifer Lawrence.  That said, I do hope she embraces her actual (lack of?) color at some point.

    • bertkeeter

      DIOR it aint!

    • ThaliaMenninger

      Oh, dear.

    • kaalup

I’m pretty sure Vera Ellen wore this exact dress (but in pink) in the film, White Christmas. Seriously, check out the scene with the song, Choreography.

      • formerlyAnon

Same general shape but Ms. Ellen’s was a marvel of simplicity compared to this. In comparison this one looks like a tortured piece of overworked satin.

    • teensmom99

These are crazy Barbie shoes that I desperately want.  Wrong, I know, but the heart wants what it wants.

    • quiltrx

Looks slutty, like she’s nude underneath (or worse).  Longer, with some underskirts, and a beautiful necklace, this would be much more Dior-ish and pretty.

      • formerlyAnon

Okay, now you’ve got me feeling like a naive country bumpkin. What kind of lingerie/accoutrements of sex play could be “worse”? I cannot imagine.

    • frankystein123

      Um… no.

    • PastryGoddess

weeeelll maybe that’s not her look.

    • formerlyAnon

I kind of like the garment, sort of, as an object, but it’s not good on her. Too short and just unflattering. (Also, do not like the shoes.)

    • jonnyf8

      Suzanne Pleshette?

    • marlie

I’m kind of ambivalent about the dress. I don’t like her hair, but I think her makeup is perfect. She looks really beautiful (this, coming from someone who generally doesn’t like her at ALL).

    • jmorino08

She has a beautiful face. That is all.

    • CarolinLA

Going to a formal ice-skating competition.

    • IraKi

Girl NO! This is a look for a less curvy girl in order for her to look fuller and more feminine. It throws the proportions of your body off! Now, why would a woman who is so aesthetically pleasing do that to her body? Halloween is over darling, and that is a bad Betty Boop costume. Accessories and make-up are good. Hair….uuuum not so much! Girl, give this to Ms Beckham. She will know what to do with it!

    • Warrior89

She’s beautiful.  But that is a Disney Villainess On Ice dress if ever I’ve seen one.

    • B_C_J

The dress is too short and she is perhaps a little too curvaceous for the silhouette of the dress.  Her make up is beautiful and the shoes are HOT.

      • Kim Brightman

Yes to the above….and her eyes are just gorgeous.  Perfect makeup!

    • Stella Zawistowski

    • Lily

I like her and I like the dress, but not together. This is not her silhouette. She’s very curvy, and it’s not flattering on her hips whatsoever.

    • tereliz

I hate the shoes, but frankly, I think the dress is not photographing very well. I bet this looked much better in person. She’s a little too endowed in the bust for the trench-like neck, but in the second shot, where the camera angle isn’t all wonky, the proportions look sexy and flirty to me. Still hate the shoes.

    • GorgeousThings

Well, I salute both her willingness to try something new, and Dior’s revisitation of the Bar suit. But the shiny satin doesn’t do her (or anyone, for that matter) any favors.

    • warnerave

      girl that’s not your dress!

    • Diana Martinez

      Oh, honey, NO.

    • Toto Maya

She has such beautiful hair, I don’t understand why she keeps doing this to it.

    • Cate

      I love the shoes!!!!!!

    • librarygrrl64

I don’t like this on her OR on the model, so I think it’s maybe just a bad dress. Too full and stiff for how short it is. She has a phenomenal hourglass figure and great legs, though, so the basic idea wasn’t so off-base. But not this dress. Hair is okay, makeup is beautiful.

    • dramamajor

      Slutty Business-Rockette?

    • korilian

It never ceases to amaze me that a billion dollar fashion/stylist industry, can’t figure out how to dress the genetically blessed in ways that actually flatter them.

    • Ali Sharpe

    • guest2visits

Terrific shoes!  But the dress is bad; too much shiny black satin that fits poorly.  It could almost be edited down into a jacket –
to be worn over a great pair of pants or a contrasting skirt.

    • Phyllis Craine

Not the shoes to wear with feet like that

    • Kathi Papaleo

She is trying to look older as her boyfriend is 70 yrs old.
