WERQ: Kristen Stewart in Louis Vuitton

Posted on October 24, 2012

There is love in our hearts right now.

Kristen Stewart attends photocall to promote ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2’ in Tokyo, Japan in a Louis Vuitton romper paired with Brian Atwood ‘Sable’ booties.

Louis Vuitton Spring 2013 Collection/Models: Stina Rapp Wastenson, Hollie-May Saker

Everyone seems to be wearing shorts on the RC lately, but so few of the ladies have gotten it quite right. Or even close to right, in some cases. We’re not at all surprised that Kristen would be the one to show them all how it’s done. She’s worked through her issues with wearing gowns and dresses, but there’s no question that the gal would much rather rock something with a little edge to it. We don’t love the hair, and the shoes feel a little bit Kristen Stewart-standard, but they go with the look. We think she looks amazing.

You WERQ that romper girl. Twi-snaps!

Jesus Christ, will those movies ever be over?

Okay, maybe there’s not THAT much love in our hearts. We’re only human, darlings; fabulous, but human.

  • That’s the best I’ve ever seen her look.

  • NC_Meg

Me gusta. I don’t even mind the greasy hair this time.

  • Love everything from the neck down — hair and makeup, not so much.  She just looks… dirty.

    • She and Robert are rubbing off on each other in that respect.

    • gabbilevy

Exactly. I saw photos float by this morning on the wire and thought, Ooh, Stewart looks rough. Like the romper, still can’t stand the girl wearing it.

  • You go K-Stew!

  • S_Swift

I want to live in a world where formal shorts/rompers are not a thing.

    •  Amen

    • lovelyivy

One of my coworkers has started wearing formal shorts to work. Sigh.

      • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

Can’t you nail her chair to the floor or something? What, is she 12?

        • lovelyivy

She’s the office fashionista. Mostly it works for her, but formal shorts… I just can’t.

Still better than the grad student who wore leggings and daisy dukes.

          • Jennifer L.

Yikes, grad student in what department? I’m in English, and it’s very much cardi/skirt sets or jeans with knee high boots. We are in the frigid NW though, which might cut down on wearing anything that inappropriate.

          • lovelyivy

She was in the engineering program. In NYC. In winter. Wearing daisy dukes and leggings.

I CONSTANTLY had to stop myself from looking at her funny or saying something. We were not friends, and I knew it wasn’t my place but if I ever came to work looking crazy and inappropriate (extremely unlikely) I’d want someone to tell me.

Eventually it did end- the office Mom/slightly-crazy-lady-who-is-only-hilarious-if-you-don’t report-to-her lit into her at our annual Christmas celebration and told her we had a dress code.

  • Sobaika

She looks fabulous, even though the hair looks about as dirty as usual.

  • StellaZafella

Pattinson, Lautner and Stewart starring in the geriatric vampire movie Twilight 12 “Breaking Wind”.

Love the romper tho’…she’s a model to start with anyway.

  • BazoDee

She looks great. Even her hair isn’t bothering me. I’ve really got nothing more to add -*gasp*

  • Does this mean that hot pants are back?

  • Fieeerceeeee, wish I could pull this off.

  • What’s with the movie poster?  Has some sort of monster menage et trois come about?  It looks like an episode of Monster Mormons, only with 2 husbands instead of wives.

    • Tapetum

Oh it’s much worse than that. That poster is of two couples – K-stew and her vampire dude are one. Their daughter, and werewolf dude are the other. Yeah, verily, this movie doth bring the squick!

  • Love the look, but for fuck’s sake, wash your hair for public appearances

    • Eimear_D

Jessica – her hair is washed, she has  a hairdresser, it’s product. Stop with this ‘omg her hair is so greasy’ BS.

      • I’m aware it’s washed. It’s a bit of sarcasm. I’ll do better to note it next time.

        • Considering about half the comments so far include something about the greasy hair, I don’t think you’re alone in your sentiment.

      • charlotte

Even if her hair looks greasy because of the product, it still looks greasy and therefore unwashed. Whatever the cause, us bitter kittens just don’t like it.

      •  Having a hairdresser who does that to her on purpose is worse.

        • formerlyAnon

My hairdresser was at one time pushing a product that does that. I have once voluntarily had it applied. Its sole virtue is that once your curls/waves/etc. are bathed in it, you can safely go to an outdoor wedding on a foggy day, followed by sweaty dancing in an overheated venue – and, 14 hours after application, a photo taken of your head will show a wrecked human being with near-perfect hair.

I bet whatever product the vampire children wear costs several-fold what this one does. So perhaps it doesn’t feel so crunchy for the first 6 hours of wearing.

    • roadtrip1000

A good trimming would help. The ends are scraggly.

    • I think what Eimear was trying to say, is that half the comments about ANY Kstew post are about her hair. Everyone is just repeating themselves over and over again. Obviously, it’s a style she goes for. I would like to talk about her fashion/clothing choices. Constantly making the same argument about her hair styling is pointless. Why even bother? And please, nobody pull that “we bitter kittens” stuff on me. I’ve been obsessively reading this site for years now.

      • Everything we say on here is “pointless” because it’s the internet comments section of a fashion blog that KStew clearly does not read or else she’d have washed her hair by now.

Anywho, we bitter kittens don’t dictate to others on how to give vent to their fashion opinions.  We just share what we think.Besides, KStew’s hair looks gross, like she’s been high on the couch for a few days and if someone was brave enough to run their hand through it, they might find a stray cheeto.  Her hair says to me, “I’ve been having sex all weekend and I STILL haven’t showered.”  I’m all for turning a dead horse into dog food because it makes me feel better, but who knows?  Maybe our collective desire for her to do something with her hair will manifest itself in the next photo opportunity that uncles T & Lo post.

      •  So what? If you want to talk about her fashion choices, then do that. Let other people talk about her hair choices.

  • hughman

IDK, she looks a little “racing horse jockey” to me. It would help if she wasn’t standing like she’s pissed about the long line at Pinkberry.

    • Carolyn

Thank you, I think she looks like a jockey or a flag from a car race.

  • pookiesmom

She’d look better if she weren’t trying to hide behind the posters.

But she looks pretty good. Her face looks a little pained, though.

  • Jessi03

Ahhh!  Horrifying shoes!  But other than that, she looks pretty awesome.  Werq it, Smiley McHappy!

    • kimmeister

I’m more scared of the shoes the models are wearing.  Holy crap you could kill someone with those things!

  • Imasewsure

Funny… when I thought it was a dress, I didn’t like it. Now that I see the shorts, I like it a lot.  And I’m not seeing the “dirty hair” look everyone else seems to see with her… now Twilight… go away

  • j_anson

Okay, I admit it, I loathe formal shorts in almost every context, and I loathe KStew, but damned if she’s not working those formal shorts.

  • Great little ensemble. Ever since she broke up with that other Twilight guy her look has improved mille fois! What gives?

  • elisaa8

LOVE she is beautiful . really unique personality and style

  • alyce1213

Now that’s the way you do shorts. And make sure you’re not over 25.

  • She’s of an age and figure to pull this off.  She looks like a young woman dressed up in a fashion forward way.  Van Nuys.

  • Her makeup here gives her a young Liz Taylor look.  A personal best for her!

  • belfebe

    She looks amazing.

  • karena10

Very cute.  I think her make-up is better, especially her eye make-up.

    • PinkLemon

girl wears makeup like a PRO

  • l_c_ann

We saw the preview at a movie today, and she flies through the air (into canyons) a lot.  Strange thing….I don’t remember a single costume from the movie, except the big black capes.

This, OTOH, is memorable in a very pleasant way.

  • I’m just so pleased she didn’t take the crop-top and micro-mini option from the runway look. I really like her makeup too.

  • Jessica O’Connell

Rejoice, TLO, I believe that this is the last movie! Thank goodness.

  • Yeah I loved these Louis Vuitton looks. So cute.

  • Scott Isaacs

Is it me, or does she look like a prototypical late ’60s-early ’70s Bond girl? That was my first impression. I thought it was the heavy eye that did it, but then…no, the print brings it out…no, it’s the shorts. Geez, if I can’t decide, it must be the whole shebang!

Snaps all around. Very well done.

    • Aitch Slavic

Look at the Runway inspiration–Very sixties–Her eyeliner goes along with that perfectly

  • Sara__B

This suits her. I like it. And she looks as close to relaxed and comfortable as I’ve ever seen her.

  • This is fucking sharp. I love it. She’s rocking it.

  • Janet B

    That’s how you wear shorts!!

  • miagain

How many of those @#$%&!@# ‘ed movies are there?

  • crash1212

Exceedingly cute. I love her shoe choice – much better than the ones on the model.

  • oohsparkley!

    It werqs for her.

  • MilaXX

Cute look, horrible hair. This would have been a good time for a ponytail.

  • nannypoo

OK, OK, the outfit looks great, but I will never agree with a WERQ or even an IN until she learns about this new product that’s available for people just like her. It’s called “shampoo”. Available wherever fine grooming products are sold.

  • MinasAunt

The outfit is nice but she just manages to look incredibly dirty to me each and every time I see her.  And it’s not just her hair, it’s the manicure, the legs, the everything…

  • DesertRodent

She looks so good — all that’s left to snark about is uncontained hair. And maybe those shoes.

I can’t wait till she gets a real career with real movies.

  • Lilithcat

Whew!  My first thought was, “Don’t bend over!”, and then I realized it wasn’t a dress.  Is it a romper, or is it shorts and a top?

    • 3boysful

There seems to be a line across the white sections of the shorts, so I’m thinking/hoping shorts and top.

  • Aitch Slavic

You are wrong about her shoes–They are KILLER shoes.  They appear to give the foot and ankle some actual stability.

  • ballerinawithagun

She looks great in this striking romper and she is the correct age to be wearing a romper.

  • bitchybitchybitchy

This look seems to suit Stewart-it has a modern vibe to it. I’m so glad she chose this look rather than the horror being worn by the model in the runway pic.  Will cropped midriff tops never die?

  • Best shorts outfit I’ve seen so far.

  • kikisayshi

Good show. I can’t think of any other ladystar who could WERQ this outfit. Double snaps.

    • Chloe could.  Except she’d show up as some kooky alt with mud-slicked hair and gardening clogs called Gloria Hole, or something.  Hell, I wish she would, her legs could give KStew a run for their money.  [pardon on the incidental pun]

      • Anathema_Device

        You forgot the orange lipstick.

  • ChelseaNH

The lighting is doing funny things to her mouth, though.

  • The hair is a mess, but at least it’s clean. Also, I wouldn’t recommend puffy shoulders to someone who has a tendency to hunch…. but she looks alright. 🙂

  • That make up looks great with her bitch-face (I mean that in a badass way)!

  • EEKstl

She looks great, shorts work with those great gams.  Her hair, as always, is un disastre.

  • Lisa Douville

I’m glad she didn’t wear the cropped outfit…or the pointy toed witch shoes.  She looks amazing, but she still drives me crazy to watch on screen.

  • decormaven

Very nice snap of mod pop, and the shoes are a good choice. She looks a bit wan- I know she leans toward that in her makeup, but there’s some jet lag apparent.

  • Nazzzy

She looks constipated and unwashed. How could anyone ever find that attractive?

    • margaret meyers

She does look a little sickers.  jet lag?

  • She is rocking that outfit. But I can never get past the sneer. I want to dislike her just cause of it which is totally unfair. She actually seems pretty cool–that is, I like how she doesn’t toe the hollywood line and seems to have an actual personality that doesn’t involve being a goody-two-shoes.

    • Ali

If you look at more photos from this event, there are tons of her smiling. I actually had a comment about that linking to more photos and talking about how the media never circulates the photos of her smiling (of which there are many), but my comment is stuck in the moderation queue because of the link. I think it’s unfair that she’s always characterized as sullen or sneering, because half that image is created by various media only running pics of her not smiling.

      •  Huh. I never would have guessed that. It’s hard to believe that there’s this vast conspiracy to show her always sneering, but I guess if those are the photos that sell.

  • Tom and Lorenzo, if it wasn’t for “those movies,” you wouldn’t even be looking at these photos of Kristen right now. Try thinking before you type.

The Twilight Saga movies raised her status to LEADING LADY. Just because you don’t appreciate it, doesn’t mean that she and others don’t.

    • Oh my god, will you nutty Twi fans get a grip, and if you can’t do that will you go lose your grip somewhere else?

  • Toto Maya

I love her makeup here. She always looked very average (nothing wrong with that at all of course), but here she looks stunning.

  • margaret meyers

    Best Onesie yet!

  • butterflysunita

That is a great outfit.  Now, please make her go away.

  • KC

She looks great. I kinda like the dirty rocker hair & makeup, but that’s just me. I definitely think she has figured out her style more and more and isn’t trying so hard to fit into Hollywood mold.

  • She actually looks happy, good for her.

  • i always forget how pretty she is; and then she gives what looks to be a genuine smile, and she’s stunning.

  • another_laura

Guys, you said it! “Jesus Christ, will those movies ever be over?” My thoughts exactly. I didn’t realize there was yet another. And now that I see Kristin Stewart and Robert Whathisname doing the pole dance via TLo, I know it must be true.

  • I feel like one of those deeply annoying aunts who crow “Sweetie! you look so good when you smile!” instantly sending the teenager scuttling for their room. But still, she really does look good here – it’s the first time I didn’t want to slap her.

  • quiltrx

SUCH a cute outfit, and she’s just the girl for it.  Nice going, gal.

And I am doubled over laughing at how fey and smooth R Pattz looks on that poster.

  • Love the outfit, don’t like the shoes, want to dunk her head in a bowl of baking soda to get the grease out.  I love how our sullen little grinch seems to be experiencing an expanding heart.  That’s real personality we’re seeing in that last shot!  Anywho, I wish that a) those shorts were long enough to cover my ass, and b) I could afford that outfit.

  • Wow, she actually managed to smile in that last photo!

Much as I dislike her (I’m sorry, but if I made millions of dollars per film, I could manage to smile at my fans during public frickin’ appearances), this look works for her, and would work on few others.

  • boweryboy

Hate the hair. Hate the shoes. The romper is fierce as shit although I’m not too fond of the puff sleeve action.

  • The outfit looks great on her, but THAT HAIR…ugh. It always looks greasy and like she doesn’t own a brush. I’m surprised that always gets a pass.

  • siriuslover

If it weren’t a stupid romper, I would totally dig this look. But if it really is a one piece, I’m back to my usual complaint of WHY a woman would want to wear one (even if it looks cool). Especially that one. It looks extraordinarily difficult to get out of.

  • YayaGurl

That hair and those shoes?  She looks like a big ole mess of zebra skank to me.  Probably my horrible case of ICH talking.

  • Her makeup looks fantastic. Maybe the hair’s not so great, but otherwise, she looks fab.

  • formerlyAnon

She comes about as close as I’ve seen to making a red carpet romper seem not-ridiculously-wrong.

It is only because that is a genre-defyingly chic romper (well done, LV!), though, and she is skinny as hell and SOMEHOW they put her in the right size.  Shoes work. The stars align. Kind of.

  • nankipoo

Why did you insert a picture of her mottled legs?

  • SophieCollier

The inescapable fact is: she is an adult woman wearing a romper.  That shit needs to stop.  No rompers past age 4.  I don’t care how jazzy they are, it’s a goofy look.

    • Anathema_Device

      Thank you!

  • I like her makeup and the shoes are fierce.

  • This works for her. Hate the hair, though.

  • ZnSD

I still think that Snow White and The Huntsman must’ve been a comedy. Kristen Stewart more beautiful than Charlize Theron? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Remember this summer when all the starlets were wearing winter dresses?  Now it’s late October and they’re all wearing shorts.  What happened???

    • l_c_ann

It’s their way of thumbing their collective noses at the little people who can’t afford humongous air conditioning bills in summer, much less starting their winter heating season in October.

Maybe not, but ya gotta wonder.

  • The hair kills it for me. And the shiny face with today’s make-up applied over yesterday’s.

  • elleg929

It can’t be a WERQ with that hair.

  • Beardslee

Shorts like this are made for young women like her.  She looks great.

  • Mary229

She looks awesome here.  Most imporantly, she looks like she is having fun!   She really is a lovely woman.  Wish she always made good fashion choices.

  • l_c_ann

It HAS to have a long back zipper.  With that much hair hanging down, how does it not get caught in such a zipper?  Or does it come with a zipper handler for trips to the loo?

  • ellabob

Rompers – really?  Please let’s get over this latest fashion faux pas

  • librarygrrl64

Love the outfit, hate the hair. And is that a SMILE????? I think she’s glad it’s almost over, too. 😉

  • Self tanner disaster.  You can see every pore – ON HER LEGS!

  • kmk05

I usually always find her beautiful, but here her makeup is definitely not doing her any favours. She looks a bit muddy. When she smiles, though, it is all forgiven!

If I could just afford that romper… might not suit my big shoulders though.

  • Trisha26

Very cute all around but I don’t think anyone over the age of 5 should be wearing the “R” word.

  • vinrouge15

She looks great. Her make up looks great. HER DAMN SMILE LOOKS GREAT. Werq it, girl.

  • notanotherusernameforchrissake

omg is that progeny in the poster?  noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • Laylalola

This works as a jumper/shorts on the red carpet because had you not said it was shorts, I wouldn’t have known or noticed (and in fact I saw photos of her in this earlier today elsewhere and didn’t for a minute think she was wearing shorts).

  • Love it, love it, love it. THIS is her kind of look.

  • guest2visits

I hate rompers – but this doesn’t look that bad; except the shoulders have unneccessary little puffs, and this outfit would be silly
on anyone not on the RW/RC. … or promoting something, like Valvoline at a Nascar race.

  • lesmaha

love this outfit–and I usually hate the shorts look. This is fab!

  • lorax14838

From the look of her legs she owns a cat. An angry cat.

  • ccm800

nice. she should use some something on her legs looking very ruddy. ABOUT THESE MOVIES…GAWD they’re awful. My partner has some odd love for the books so we have seen every one in the theater and I dont know if I have one more in me. These are easily the worst things I have ever paid to see if not the worst things I have ever sat through.
