Wow, wow, and wow. And I’m not sure why, but I’m totally loving the topiary hair.

      • http://www.facebook.com/people/Lucía-Gavello/1253586868 Lucía Gavello

Me too! It’s a fabulous editorial and a fabulous wig.

      • ballerinawithagun

Thanks for naming it for me. I kept thinking bush, which, of course, would be something entirely different! It is fabulous!

      • https://twitter.com/Gayer_Than_Thou Gayer Than Thou

We all need to start wearing our hair this way.

        • http://www.djplaw.com/ Tadiana

If you can get all the guys to do it I’ll round up the women. :)

    • Lilithcat

      ooh, mi piace!

    • http://twitter.com/MajorBedhead MajorBedhead

I totally need a disco ball headband now.

This is a great editorial. I don’t know, or care, what products they’re supposed to be highlighting. It just makes me smile.

    • MilaXX

I love when the pretty of the day is just pretty. No thought required.

    • Trisha26

    • Imasewsure

Kind of Disco Garbo. Love it

      • ballerinawithagun

        Yes, Disco Garbo, perfect!

    • hughman

Zandra Rhodes hair. Halston, Gucci, Fiorucci. I wonder why… he’s the greatest dancer.

    • lulukittie

It’s feeling very space alien goes to Studio 54. I like it.

    • ChelseaNH

I guess she’s supposed to look like a plastic mannequin, but the effect is a little creepy.  Maybe that’s what they were going for.

    • LesYeuxHiboux

The stylist outdid herself! Some truly fabulous looks here, but the photographer went with such dull composition in many of the shots that it feels like the editorial as a whole is just shy of the mark.

    • gabbilevy

Oh how FUN! Really loving the white dress in picture #5, and the model’s styling is FAB.

    • Little_Olive

Fabulous concept, styling and modeling and actually showcasing the clothes. Oh yes!

    • http://joyouslifesf.wordpress.com Kiltdntiltd

Oh MAN did I need this!!!

    • SewingSiren

      I want to live there.

    • everest19

YES, BITCH! Dead @ the disco ball picture.

    • http://twitter.com/PhDKnitter marlie

      Love this!

    • Susie K

I love how sculptural the model’s hair is. And that taut, shiny, doll-like complexion is something I really remember from 70s fashion spreads —- that the W editorial from earlier this week was totally missing. I can’t figure out how they get that plastic-doll effect with the makeup.

    • quiltrx

Her ‘hair’ looks really flammable LOL!  Love that next to last pic…such an OTT outfit!

      • NCDFan

That’s the one that caught my eye too. I kept thinking robot model until that one.

    • nannypoo

Love this. The clothes are gorgeous. The hair is nothing a Brazilian Blowout couldn’t fix.

    • boweryboy

The Sassoon thong haircut is perfect.  So many of my sisters had their hair cut in a similar manner back in the ’70s.

    • poggi

Great pictures.  I love that top in the second picture and, unlike most clothes of this caliber that I covet, I could actually find someplace to where it.

    • joything

The outrageous beaded jacket appeals to the Elizabethan in me.

    • http://twitter.com/grooxcore Marie Ee

helps that the model is fierce as shit.

    • http://twitter.com/foodycatAlicia foodycatAlicia

I hope that’s a wig – her poor hair! But it looks amazing.

    • Melvis Velour

Give me Vogue Korea any day!

That fierce jacket second from bottom is Balmain FAll 2012, the whole collection is fabulous!

    • decormaven

Love the starburst ring in photo #3! Very late 50s.

    • jjdg1007

The hair is similar to the Rick Owens S/S Collection this year.

After seeing these pieces (in gray scale), I can clearly see how plain and mundane the Project Runway collections really were.

    • minnye

Love everything about this. The model is incredible. I usually consume fashion editorials like an afternoon snack- yummy for a few minutes but immediately forgotten- but this one is a keeper.

    • l_c_ann

Am I the only one who remembers Carol Lynley (from the ’60s)?  In profile shots there’s a strong resemblance to the blond that a lot of wish we had been.

      • DeTrop

I remember Carol Lynley. (Of course I do.  I almost remember Methuselah).  I can see a resemblance around the cheekbones.  I also see a very ‘young’ Diane Von Furstenberg in all but the very last shot.

      • http://visceralresponse.com Dina dV

I remember Lynley, too.  And I see it, but Mihalik also has that amazing Eastern European bone structure.  For me she’s the most memorable of the current batch of top models.

A truly extraordinary model. She’s doing it right, plus she’s blessed with a fabulous face. I love when, in profile, the angle of the eyebrow, eyelid, nose underside and upperlip are the same. The angle of the bangs on the topiary wig is cleverly the same and emphasizes this, and then the angle of her cheekbones and jawline are the mirror image. Incredibly aesthetically pleasing to me.

    • cleverlady

Greta Garbo has returned to make our day beautiful!  Amazing photos and face and sets.  Thanks, TLo.

    • annrr

She has beautiful hands, they really complete the shot

    • Annabelle Archer

Her hands! Her gorgeous, fascinating hands.

I feel like this was a symphony of a talented model fully getting the stylist’s brilliant choices for a photographer with razor sharp vision.

      Love every shot.

    • another_laura

I NEED that jacket with the pearls.  What a great set of photos!

    • l_c_ann

Is the first photo upside down?

How else to get the entire arm (lower) if it’s resting on a mirror?

      • http://profiles.google.com/phyllis.craine Phyllis Craine

Yes I think it is upside down and her arm is resting on a mirror

    • http://profiles.google.com/phyllis.craine Phyllis Craine

Oh gawd I used to perm my hair like that in the 70’s!

    • http://www.facebook.com/renate.yerkes Renate Yerkes

Quick! We need another royal wedding so one of the cousin girls can wear that fascinator!!!

    • crash1212

Stunning. WANT all the jewelry in photo #2. ALL. NOW!

    • BigWhiteGrannyPanties

      Love and want.

    • plinkiedoodle

Ugh.  Her hair looks like a baleen eating sea creature….

    • http://twitter.com/UnderTheDark Andrea B

She’s a bit of an alien mix of Bette Davis and Jodie Foster… very striking!

    • kolokOlchik

      Fabulous disco mannequin!

    • holdstillnow

I cannot see anything but her face.  As outrageous as the hair is, for me all it’s doing is drawing more attention to her face.  Amazing and beautiful

    • http://cheekypinky.wordpress.com/ Rebecca

      Damn, girl gives good face.
